  1. Casino's

It's all for balancing and gameplay purposes. - You cannot own a FEW businesses. That's no big deal. And things might change post-release. - You CAN loot bodies. Cash-on-hand during a bleed-out time. You can loot the rest (with the exception of clothing) once the player has died completely. - Not being able to break into houses is a good thing. More players wouldn't like this than the other way around. Your home, it being bought or rented, should be a safe zone. If there would be no personal safe zones, this game would be hell and I for one wouldn't like it one bit. Do know there will be more safe zones than just your housing. Malls for example will have metal detectors at the doors which will strip you from any weapon before entering.
  2. How long until first module?

I think I'll make a list with questions I'll stop answering over and over again. The info is out there. Enough is enough.
  3. Playing Identity.

As for now, you'll have to wait. There have been no playable modules released as of yet. Depending on how much you've pledged, you'll be able to play the modules (alpha) and/or the beta (after the modules). If you haven't pledged enough for either of those, you'll have to wait even longer until the actual release date.
  4. Xbox and Ps4

No. There are no confirmed plans of releasing this on Xbox or PlayStation.
  5. Pledge

And 4: Use the search function on the forums before asking the same or alike questions over and over again. You're asking questions which have been replied to on several occasions. Even more: the questions you've been asking have been answered on the main website, which you actually payed through, without properly reading it (*le sigh*).
  6. Potential Flop?

I agree, mostly. But in all honestly, I find it more than normal human behavior to start expecting more and more, the longer a wait takes. This is solely a psychological viewpoint. People's imagination goes running wild while thinking about the game, the upcoming TS module, how they can have their first try at character creation, app/studio customization, etc. I'd blame both the people and the rather slow development posts for this. I know we get a LOT of intel during the 3 live streams each week, but let's be honest. How many people know of these streams other than the regular forum users? So a weekly dev log might help with this. At least people will know what's actually in the game, confirmed or denied, they'll know for sure. And maybe's remain maybe's.
  7. Casino's

I can find several. Casino's are a way of easy income. People do tend to lose more than they gain there. So for the owner it's a guaranteed win. Which it shouldn't be, business is business, and losses should be a real thing. Now tell me, have you known a casino closing because it went bankrupt? I didn't think so. The owner(s) of (a) casino(s) have the unfair advantage of the certainty of a HUGE income, period. Also I'd be surprised if there's more than 1 casino on a 200 KMĀ² map. So we'd be talking about one kingpin or group of mobsters running it. Once again, an unfair advantage, especially seeing these probably will be a monopoly. Gas stations are a different story. I wish players could own them, but also be charged with the responsibility making sure Gas/petrol/diesel gets delivered to their storage tanks in time. No fuel? No income! Which is totally different with casinos.
  8. Hair n'stuff

If they add buns, they better add working scissors to the game too. Because I'll be the guy running around cutting them off. Be a man or a woman, hipsters are neither.
  9. Casino's

I believe they've already replied with "No one can own a casino." So it should be entirely ran by NPCs.
  10. New intelligence.

http://imgur.com/a/2aoYo As linked on the chat after tonight's live stream by Papa Beans. Huge source of development insight. Thanks for these!
  11. New intelligence.

You're welcome. They should stream in about 25 minutes.
  12. Wild west online

Yes it is a PC exclusive. And I'm happy for that. I haven't been able to play Red Dead Redemption because Rock* are being stubborn and my console warrior friends have had great many laughs at that, and at me. Now it'll be the other way around.
  13. Wild west online

They claim the public alpha comes out mid-summer. Unless it's like Identity's Town Square module, then who the heck can tell when it'll be? I'm looking forward to giving this a go, with the free alpha and all. And it gives me something to do while waiting endlessly on the TS module. Also, this:
  14. This is the most common misconception. They rarely use the echo effect (real term: delay) in karaoke, but they mainly use reverb. These are two separate things. Delay (your 'echo', if you insist) -> sounds reflecting with a delay, which means there is noticeable silence between your input and the reflected sound you hear back. (examples: a long cave, a long tunnel) Reverb -> sounds reflect back and forth way shorter on your input. So there's basically no delay (we're speaking about milliseconds) between the inputted and outputted sound. (examples: cathedral/church, opera hall, etc.) Things get real fun if you add a delay on a reverb, or a reverb on a delay effect. (yes, obviously the order matters!) Other than this education, I like the idea and I do believe these things will be included with the karaoke. I'm not sure, but it seems logical if it would be. So it should be. About the streaming real TV shows, as long as YouTube allows it, it'll be available in Identity. So anything that YouTube (and Twitch for that matter) would ban/block/delete will be illegal in Identity as well. I'm sure Asylum have their legal business protected properly.
  15. New Screenshots (UPDATED)

Didn't Motown say this was concept art? Unless I've misheard this on the stream. There's a huge difference with concept art and screenshots.
  16. New intelligence.

https://www.twitch.tv/identityrpg At the moment they do a gaming hour every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 to 5 PM EST. Do note, they play games like PUBG, CS:GO, Rocket League. But often they show screenshots, concept art, etc. of the game, and now more mainly about the Town Square module. They talk a lot and are rather open to questions, though it might take a few tries to get them answered. Don't be afraid, the chat on the stream isn't all that hectic as you'd expect.
  17. Looking For Coders and Such For A Private Server.

Obviously to prevent tampering with game files. Which coding would be kinda an equivalent of. I'm sorry.
  18. Copyrights

You double posted your thread, by accident. Delete the other one please. I have no definitive answers on your questions, but I would like to add my two cents. Company names should be reserved on all servers. They should be linked to a user's account, or even to a certain character. But I'd prefer it to be account bound. So no one on another server should be able to take on your companies name, and discredit you for example. But if you'd switch to any other server, you would be able to recreate your company or another branch of it. This should also apply on unofficial servers! There you go @Andrew811. Typing "@IdentityRPG" in Twitch chat does get their attention, as I've just proven to you. I hope you're satisfied with the answer they are able to give at this point.
  19. Why escape from terkov is not on Steam ??

Ok, I was wondering about this game. The concept looked neat. But now I've read the posts about the after sales service ... That and claim on the money grabbing devs... I'll skip this one completely. I'm semi-sure it was on Steam? I wonder how else I've heard about it.
  20. Religious Cult

I do wonder if I'd be able to join a cult as a law enforcement officer. Would be cool. But I presume that will fall under the "no corruption" rule on official servers. And even though I do understand that, I give it my *sad face*.
  21. System Requirements

Alright, the rest of your setup (the few things we know) looks quite ok. Just don't game on integrated graphics. A decent GPU nowadays is rather affordable. Unless, like me, you bought the GTX 1080 (ASUS) last summer. Some people buy an entire laptop for the same money. But I don't regret it, I haven't in the last year, not a single bit.
  22. Flower Bussiness

If this is an option, yes! Although, I might stick to plastic plants, like in real life. They don't die on me. Or they don't kill my cats for being toxic. Well plastic is toxic as well, but the cats are smart enough to know they're not edibles.
  23. System Requirements

Playing BF4 on integrated graphics, even on low? At what? 20 FPS? Or not even that I suppose? Have you tried any game built on the UE4? That would be a good reference to start with, that and the tech demos I mentioned earlier. Just bother trying them. Mhm, I certainly hope people who can only play Identity at 10-20 FPS will refrain from playing the game. I don't want to ticket/fine people constantly for crashing their vehicle into my police cruiser all that time. Or having pedestrians running in front of my vehicle because "my screen is stuttering, sorry, good officer Sir". Bottom line: upgrade your pc! Well mainly: upgrade your GPU!
  24. System Requirements

Then no. You cannot run Identity. I'm 250% certain of this. If you don't have a dedicated graphics card, you can't play half of modern games anyway.
  25. Police Thoughts

@ItsRaiden Please use the search function first. Heck, in this case you don't even need the search function. The Precinct's sub-fora are littered with this topic, even on Page 1. You just needed to read the thread titles. Laziness gets you nowhere on forums.
