September (sad ...) Summer or Winter? (no catch :p)
-
On a stream this week was said police will receive a passive paycheck. But most income will still come from arrests, etc. In that context, it's safe to assume this will be the same for all the government jobs. Sadly no those jobs won't be regulated on the official servers. Positions of commissioner or whoever will be at the top will be filled in by some of Asylum, or appointed by Asylum. The rest can join after running through the tutorial. On private servers however ... there will be quite a few customization options. But nothing game-breaking. So who knows there?

The idea would be funny. Sadly, different engine, different feel to it. But still. Kudos for the funny.

Do like cop get days off
Genesai replied to Mez's question in Tourism (Q&A)
I understand. In Altis Life I usually play as EMT. But a paramedic cannot do crap in-game. Not allowed to buy cars, civilian clothes, etc. Half the NPC's don't respond to an EMT. And I believe it's the same with the cops on there, although I'm not sure, I never applied to be one. Then having a timer you have to wait to switch to civ, or from civ back to EMT. That sucks. Very immersive, good job on that one. I love being an EMT in there, but I hate the fact that it's the only thing you can do, as an EMT. So I quit Altis Life altogether. So I as well hope I won't have to quit my job (or switch over to another character) just to be able to enjoy the civilian life in my off-time. The evenings (or days, depending on shifts), and weekends I don't work, I'd prefer to be an off-duty cop, rather than a civilian. -
I do agree with you, but it will not happen. They've decided against that. There won't be undercover cops. There will a clear and visible line between law enforcement and the rest of the population.

You got it the other way around. The US is literally one of the few countries in the world that uses MPH (imperial), and not KMH (metric). Even the UK adopted the metric system in the '70s. Although people revolted against it, and they often mix the two, they took in the metric system as the official one. Want to know which countries use MPH? Check this map: It sure as hell doesn't look like the majority of the world is using MPH. Not even close. Criminals Looting Police
Genesai replied to Vrilyze's question in Tourism (Q&A)
I said that out of sarcasm. Read, then think, and then reply. Not the other way around. Lol, I do respect opinions, but you don't. You fail to see the LOGICAL point both him and me are making. You keep defending your point, but fail to see ours. So don't talk to me about not respecting opinions. Then also, I look outside into the real world, and I see cops driving solo. When I check the news in other countries ... solo cops again. And rarely, as I said before, you'll see two cops in one car. We're not living in a '70s TV-show about cops, in which they may show two cops per car. EDIT: If you want realism, then you want one cop per car. Period. -

I do not hate the place you live. But wherever I live, I prefer cops having common sense. Something which you lack a lot of. Even two officers can get downed, kidnapped, etc. if there are multiple assailants. Unless you want to start sending 4 cops per vehicle, that's something I'd see coming out of your mouth... @Boredomfalls knows exactly what he's talking about. Everyone can see that but you. Admit you're wrong and take it like a man. It makes no sense having two officers per car. And I feel if we keep explaining the logic behind it, over and over again, you still won't grasp it. It seems you have the common sense and logic of a 16 year old. That's what we make from the things you claim/state. -

Genesai replied to Vrilyze's question in Tourism (Q&A)
If you are a cop in real life ... I'd hate to live where you live lol. You make no sense what-so-ever with your wishes about this game. You keep saying black, then white, then black again ... make up your mind. Police often patrol solo here too. It happens you see two cops in one cruiser, but rarely. Unless they're setting up checkpoints etc. It makes no sense having two officers in one car, I'd prefer my tax money going to that second cop being in a second vehicle being able to cover his own ground. As @Boredomfalls explained to you over and over again, and pretty clear I have to add, so why do you keep being a nancy for being wrong about the subject? -
You're* And no, it wouldn't be that easy. You won't be be able to knock down walls inside your house. And any house that has a big enough living room that can hold a boxing ring AND seats? Good luck saving up for that one. And also if you've seen the apartment customization video, that's a two bedroom apartment right there. Don't tell me you'd be able to fit a ring in there either. But ok, you can save up for a mansion.

The game will come out in steam
Genesai replied to TadeuRibeiro's question in Tourism (Q&A)
We've replied to this countless of times before. Please use the search function. It's a useful tool. But to answer, this game will be on Steam once it gets released. And Steam might very well be the only platform it gets released on. If you buy the game here, as a pledge, you will get a Steam key upon release of the game. So no worries, you will not have to re-buy it. -
Criminals Looting Police
Genesai replied to Vrilyze's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Bullcrap. I play Asylum Life (always as a Paramedic). I constantly see the cops getting taking hostage, being overrun, and getting killed all over the place. They cannot win from the rebels and random RDM / VDM'ing. Not ever. And if the elected governor in game is in bed with the criminals? All hell will break loose. No. Just no. Normal firearms such as small calibers? Sure, get them out with a proper gun license. But that license should be able to be withdrawn and denied in the future if the owner goes on killing sprees, whether it be cops or civilians. -

On the live stream they just said they haven't worked that one out yet. So we'll just have to see. We can only speculate at this point.

Preventing server lag (just to say one thing), is far more important than realism. I do understand you can't have 500+ vehicles on the map when there are 300 players online. It adds to unnecessary lag, framerate drops, de-sync issues, etc. But having the car instanced, whether it be at the station or at your own garage, it removes itself from the main game world, and if you indeed log off, it even gets removed entirely for the time you're offline. @Norway174 pointed this out several times now. I also hope I get my own persistent squad car which I have to take care of. But I suppose remembering dirt, bulletholes, scratches etc. would be server heavy as well, sadly.

Awesome, totally worth making an entire thread about it.

Untrue, if parked inside a garage. There's no burglary. So also no theft in your garage. Which would be kind of a private instance as well. When parked out in a driveway however, I do see your point. It would be cool seeing it parked next to my sports car in my two-car garage. Depends where you live I suppose. In certain forces in my country, people are allowed to take their personal squad vehicle home with them.

If these things happen, they will be classified as other passports. Just as the one you bought now to have access to Identity. Nothing is confirmed on this yet, but IF they are planning on making themed DLC, you'll have to buy a new passport for that then. This of course will supposedly be cheaper than your basic/standard passport. Source: livestream on Twitch

Changing Your Saved Clothing Attire Through Option Menu
Genesai replied to JessicaMadisyn's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
If you mean in your closet in your apartment or house, I do agree! Saved presets for combinations (outfits) would be a great idea! -
Since I like Pepsi Cola more than I like Coca Cola, I'd like to see a spoof soda drink on Pepsi in-game.

That's just you. They do listen, but in the end, they still have the final say on things. It's still THEIR game they're developing.

Originally the module was planned way earlier. Around Easter. And if I'm not mistaken, before Easter there was an earlier set date. So he's not wrong stating that.
-
Do realize that the moment they release the TS module, a lot of their PR worries will be over.

Indeed no sex, no nudity, and most definitely no prostitution. And no mod support. And also no private server boxes, people will be able to rent servers through Asylum approved hosts and will have limited customization options. So there's nothing to worry about for you. You'll have a safe and pleasant experience.
