Funerals, morgues and undertakers
Genesai replied to DoctorFosterGloster's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Immersion wise this is a good idea. Gameplay wise not so much. We have EMS and death (respawn). It would be nice though is people had the CHOICE to let their character die permanently. It's like writing someone off in a TV-show. I see no harm in it, as you'll be able to have various character on an account. RP wise it would be nice having a real funeral or a cremation for these write offs. -
Welcome! Indeed most of your questions have been answered (several times often) in FAQs and various threads on the forums. Use quotation marks to find full phrases on the search engine.

I pledged $250. But there's already a poll made on this rather recently. Use the search function please.

You sure do get responses here. Branding and such should never be rushes. Take your time and find something clever. Fitting. But it seems you'll have that under control. A company website would never be a bad thing though. You can show off your previous work unrelated with Identity and peek people's interests. I'm curious anyway. I'm sure the in-game options to actually design items won't be the hardest things to work with. I'm hoping on a decent balance between ease-of-use and detailed options. But we'll see. As with most thing.

Will kids/teens(AGE10-15) play this game?
Genesai replied to BeastWarrior's topic in The Town Square
Anything like a pledge reward will have to redeemed per server (official servers). So if you switch servers, your stuff per apartment (per server) will still be there. Easy to customize two apartments differently. The items you collect (buy + store) and the money you make, that won't transfer however. You'll have to start. They said the rewards move over, but I'm wondering if that's also the starter cash. That's the one thing I'm doubting over. -

Once again, on private servers most likely yes. I can imagine admins implementing those rules before they'd do anything else. But on public servers, things will be a LOT more lenient. Most likely the only restriction a person can have for Law Enforcement, is that too many officers are online for the number of online civilians. And waiting a bit will fix that for you. I'm also aware of the restriction that an admin/mod or another appointed person will be commissioner. -

When playing a cop on public servers I'll have to deal both with people talking to me while I'll have to keep an eye on chat. So I know what you mean. But when I'll be off duty as a civilian on said public servers, I'll ignore chat text sent to me. Besides text messages, e-mail etc. I'll be glad I have the liberty to ignore that. Or perhaps -hopefully- even switch it off from the UI. -
Do like cop get days off

@LuckyDuck glad we got that cleared out at last! -

Voice won't be required on public servers. There WILL be a chat function in-game. On private servers I can imagine admins turning that chat option off so people are in actuality then required to speak. Or RP a mute guy. But imo they shouldn't be allowed either way. Not very immersive seeing/hearing an adult character speaking squeak. -
I'm curious about this. But that would make it a a bit too easy for LE. Balance wise this might not be the best thing to add.

I'm a bit late, but still a big welcome! Glad you finally crossed over to our side.

Wait what? How did I get that wrong?

No, it's going to be similar like the customization shops like in GTA V. Via menus and such. There's a video on it. As you see, no human mechanic gets involved.
-
This won't be possible. The gas stations are automated (NPC). Same with car customization and car retailers. You can sell second hand cars if you have enough garage space though.
-
There's like a gazilion people starting those companies here on the forums. So yes, it's possible. But there will be hefty competition. At times, it seems as if it's the only job in Identity. That and self-proclaimed assassins who'll get bounties or warrants for their arrests every time they go to "work".

I have no idea. It looked nice, but not luxurious in any way. So I'm guessing that was a normal version of a two-bedroom apartment. In the current pledge rewards there is no two-bedroom available however. One studio, a one-bedroom apartment and a luxury one-bedroom apartment. But seeing there will be houses and penthouses and such, I'm quite convinced there will be a luxury two-bedroom apartment.
