I'm wondering about transparency. Will we be able to see the total amount of taxes that were collected and exactly how our politicians are spending that money?

I don't see your stance on police in the original post. I was assuming by defense you meant that. Does this post have nothing to do with the game? Sorry I'm confused.- 817 replies

SECURITY/DEFENSE: Believe in a limited missile defense. Oppose nuclear buildup in the U.S. Believe that peace is achieved through worldwide relationship building. Does this mean you are going to limit police spending?- 817 replies

Will your pledge items carry over after death?
teflondon replied to KifDawg's topic in The Town Square
Is there any other ways to store money? Or have they just not said yet? Losing 10% is a lot considering several bank heists could happen in a day. Say you went afk for a week, you had 300k but come back to like 50k. That would be all of your hard earned money gone. I'm sort of new here so I don't know how all of this works. -
The Catholic Church is still here though and their hands have never been clean. They are also one of the wealthiest organizations in the world. It's possible the biggest killers could be people like Hitler and Stalin, but at the same time killing does not necessarily equal success at crime. Smart criminals actually avoid pissing off the police because it brings heat on them and messes with their profits. Also the Catholic Church supported Hitler. They didn't have a problem with him because they hated Jews and he was just getting rid of the competition. They had been spreading antisemitic propaganda long before Hitler's rise to power and arguably had a huge influence on all of Europe in terms of hatred toward Jews.

The Catholic Church is the biggest criminal organization of all time. They are pretty much right at home.

Yeah this will be interesting because it plays into civilian rights as well. It would suck to live in a police state where you get pulled over by every "troll" or get harassed by someone that doesn't like you because of a personal issue. I really hope that cops don't have unlimited power because that power will always go to someones head.

Didn't they say the banks can be robbed and you'll lose up to 10% of your money? -
Which game reminds you of identity the most?
teflondon replied to annawintour1's topic in The Town Square
It reminds me of Bootleggers. It was a browser based game. Sort of reminds me of like a Bootleggers that reinvented itself as a 3d model. -
Stop derailing this poor guys thread. PS. Good luck with your criminal enterprise.

Thank you for the welcome. @Radack I'm wondering about a few things I could not find in FAQ. Is there a limit to the amount of goods you can own? For example I'm wondering if you can have large stockpiles? Just wondering if there is a limit to the amount of business you would be able to potentially achieve. Like would you be able to stockpile goods in a warehouse or something? Are there any promotions for police officers who do a good job? Like a better rank with more power and more pay. Will banks give you interest on your money? Can you own a bank? Can you loan out money? (as a game function) Stock market? Will criminals owe restitution? Say for a crime spree that causes a lot of damage. Is the mayor allowed to appoint a police chief? Can cops enter your apt/house? Could cops potentially "camp"/harass the gang areas or do they need probable cause? Again with the probable cause can a cop just "stop and frisk" you or do they need probable cause to get your ID and stuff to see if you are wanted.

I'm not entirely sure how the police are run but it would help if someone was in charge of organizing crime fighting. Say for example "insert criminal syndicate here" is extorting businesses and the citizens need someone to protect them. This puts pressure on the mayor to control crime fighting via his police chief. The police chief could organize resources to protect points of special concern. Instead of everyone running around like a chicken with their head cut off. If the mayor is doing a shit job at fighting crime then they can get voted out for someone new. Also the police chief to do things like use public funds (taxes) to pay off snitches for tips on crime operations. Just someone who is in charge of more organized operations.

Hello. I'm a newbie. Just found the game and binge watched some youtube videos that explained confirmed aspects of the game. (Shout out to TheDynasty) I have to say I'm extremely interested. I have a few questions which is the main reason for making an account but I'll make another thread for that somewhere else if I don't find out by searching the forum.
