I think the bigger question here is, will you be allowed to have multiple characters per server?
-
Very well said, I personally cant wait to see the Anti-Cheat tied in with the Anti grief system. I think thats what keeps me most hopeful about Identity, the fact the Devs have a very strong understanding of what makes this genre of games strong. And at the same time very well understanding what breaks this kind of game.

I think the phone list would be comparable to GTA, friends you have added will appear as contacts and you can text and call them. Id love to know if you would be able to call friends who are in different servers. As for wiretapping, I think it could potentially have a role in Identity but perhpaps in the investigative side of the Law and perhaps after a larger amount of notoriety (or wanted levels) is reached. If wiretapping was accessible for every case then there would be little illusion and it could make things very difficult for the criminals. Here is an example of wiretapping that I think could work: Joe is working a large drug operation, and is suspected of other crimes. He has generated enough notoriety that a player Detective/Investigator (lets call him Bob) has been assigned to his "case". Bob proceeds to investigate but seems to be hitting some dead ends. He submits a request to the courts to wiretap said player and is approved. From there Bob can see that Joe has been texting quite a bit of people offering his "goods and services". Now Bob has more grounds to work off of. I recall replying a forum post talking about Evidence in court cases. If this system were to be implemented it would give our friend Bob here something to present in court. So thats another way to look at the system that could potentially add a lot of depth the the Law vs Crime aspect of Identity.

Will the police have to give evidence in a court case?
ZombieShock replied to DanDud88's topic in The Precinct
I imagine court case evidence could work better with narcotic busts and potentially murder cases. It would be interesting if the Police vehicles recorded like ones in real life but I imagine that may be pushing some technical limitations. Anyhow I could see them implementing some sort of camera system, or somehow tie in a forensic team into police cases. If that were to be the case I am sure that is where the majority of evidence would be provided from an the results of the forensics could be directly tied to the work of the police officers and how thourough they are at examining the scene, and/or collecting samples (such as blood, drugs, weapons ect.). This leaves the the crime solving aspect of Identity very open and allows players to work for the police without directly searching for criminals and patroling in cruisers. -

I would assume since Asylum is based off the US (atleast I think it is) that they would follow American drug consumption ages. I agree with JCDOCK, its likely the minimum would be 21. I miss Europe :C

How about being able to purchase different undergarments? It would be pretty funny to see a character running to his home in public only wearing boxers with a duck on them.

I like the idea but I feel that the age slider should not be allowed to be set bellow the age 21 or so. I feel that it could possibly complicate things too much due to the wide range of activities and jobs that is available. Example: Player creates character, sets his slider to the age of 19. Now said player cannot attend bars to drink, ect. This would make things generally inconvenient for not only the devs but a player who makes this choice and later realizes hes made a mistake. Heres an alternative suggestion that similarly falls into your suggestion. Make it so when your creating your character there is a specific option that can be enabled to cause your player to age over long periods of time. (Over a year real time your character shows small signs of aging) This could really present an interesting experience for long time Identity players that may very well be playing the game in 5 years. You could even have a system where a player needs to renew his identification after a certain time period of aging.

Wanted Levels?
ZombieShock replied to Boumu's question in Tourism (Q&A)
I recall them saying that crimes have to be reported by witnesses (like someone calling the police, ect) I would have to assume that murder caries some kind of exception. At least, thats what I gathered from the posted Twitter responses. -
Test question
ZombieShock replied to Motown-test's question in Tourism (Q&A)
The feature is a very good one, and I personally would hate to see it go. -
I don't know about you guys but I mainly see my money going into making more money lol. Assuming there are pets planned for Identity and that I already own a decent ride(s) and home(s), then I would definitely put my money towards that. Maybe an exotic Lion or perhaps a Chimp that I could dress in a suit to greet my guests. Sounds like a glorious way to enjoy my wealth :{)

I think the easiest and most logical solution to this is having the majority of cars come in automatic by default. If a player decides that he prefers manual he can chose to have that changed in the mechanics (or perhaps have it be a selection when purchasing the vehicle). Also if Manual Drive is included I think that it would be neat to have vintage styled cars come in that driving mode by default.
