That button might be confusing. If you look on the town square page you'll see it's not yet done and is listed as in production. Having pledged $30 you will receive access.

How far this goes depends on time and budget, really. At the very least though you will stumble when drunk. Driving is probably a bad idea too.

Being stealthy
Paratus replied to NutterButter's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Being that both criminals and police are real players, stealth is as effective as you'd expect. Hiding behind a trash bin in an alley might just work; there are definitely places to hide. This was all taken into consideration with world design. Around each bank or store, we knew people would be on the run. How easy you are for the police to track depends on how wanted you are. If you've been a very naughty the police can be alerted of your presence, but for situations like this tracking won't be very easy. -
Just about everything mentioned is the case. Each drug has pros and cons to use and frequent use will lead to addiction or even an overdose. Rehab isn't cheap, either.

It's more about volume. You'll make more money overall if you own a shop in a busy area. Not only do you receive income for items you're selling on consignment yourself, but from all sales at that location otherwise, too. Buying from someone's home can be tedious for travel, and there are other limitations. The vast majority of players will walk into a local store to buy goods, just as they're used to from other games. All of these stores can be owned.

While we do have a pretty cool shoplifting mechanic in Identity, the issue with stealing items being sold by another player is the potential for exploitation. The ability to steal an item is based on its value and the shoplifting experience of the thief, so expensive items will be nearly impossible to steal. A stolen item cannot be sold in a store again, but can be sold in a sort of black market. So, in short, you can steal from a player owned store out in the world but what you can't steal from are player's private stores, which are usually operated from their own home.

Information on the integration of kick-starter backers.
Paratus replied to Suben's topic in The Town Square
If you create an account and log in on the main website (not the forums) you'll find an option to claim pledges. It's pretty quick and easy to do! And yes, you will have access to some of the rewards in the modules.- 10 replies
