As someone who was waiting on the townsquare since the beginning, I would like to offer a fair and unbiased opinion. Now best in mind this is not an attack on the devs or anyone else, just a mention of issues ect that I think should be addressed. First I will start with what I like. -Textures are fantastic, and overall graphics (particularly the apartments and furniture) are high quality. -Lag issues for me seem to have been fixed the last two days. -Kareoke is cool and the sound amplification sounds great. -Clothing options are pretty decent considering it's just launch and they will add more down the road. -Emote animations for the most part look good. -Facial feature customization is pretty good, characters faces look quite different from each other. -Clothing models are detailed and look good. -I like the smoking in the game, and how the cigarette stays in your mouth and has smoke. -Music choices in the town square are good imo. -Big space and reasonable player count. Negatives and bugs: -I cannot out certain prop furniture such as clocks on the wall. -I cannot put decorative items on top of things such as tables, It only lets me put them on existing counters and the floor. -It seems like the electrical plug system is not working because I do not have any option to plug in my lamp or tv even though it says I need to connect it to an outlet. I tried putting a lamp right next to the outlet and rotated it, so distance isn't the issue. -The voice communication is not very functional, players cannot seem to hear each other all the time. -My 150 dollar pledge 1 bedroom apartment is not available. (I read somewhere that correct pledge apartments are being worked on.) -The food system is busted, you can order food but it doesn't let you consume it. Not even in the restaurant where it goes on the table. -I can't seem to activate the painting even though I set up my canvas and easle in my apartment. -My character that I spent customizing and getting items for doesn't let me load in, I have to make a new secondary character in order to load into a server. Complaints/wishes -Many businesses and features that I expected to be in the town square are not yet available. (Barber, books, ect.) The lack of hair options makes the barber situation tougher. -There doesn't seem to be any radios to put in your apartment, or ability to sit down on chairs in my apartment. I wish these were implemented so that I can atleast rp a little more in my apartment with other players. There's other issues, but I won't mention them because I know the dev team is small and I'll cut them some slack there. I've been supporting this project for a long time and I will continue to. Right now the town square isn't really all that playable, and a bit boring. (And I'm the type of guy who's into passive RP and just enjoying minor details.) However, I hope that this game continues to evolve and eventually become what it promises to be, and I will continue to stick with it. It has alot of potential.

Hotfix 3 - Logging in off steam friend should now be more stable (ghosting should be gone) - A crash on client shutdown has been fixed (FYI internally, should also fix the crash when failing to connect to server) - Ghost zones created and placed around busy doorways and elevators (basically you stop colliding with players in these zones) - Improved VoIP quality - Higher quality item preview rendering in inventory - Improved load time of inventory UI - Karaoke no longer hearable from apartments

There are always only two ways to respond to anything: love (positivity) or fear (negativity). That's it. Let's say you gave someone money in the expectation to receive something back later, something good enough for your expectations. However, they didn't deliver it to your expectations, and you feel emotional about it. You're angry, frustrated, confused, and you feel like you've been made into a victim -- you feel negative. These are all natural ways to feel, but no one should want to stay there for a long time. It would be my suggestion to feel those feelings as much as you can privately. Understand why you are feeling them, and then move on. If you need help in learning how to deal with those negative emotions, it is OK to ask for help. Staying in a negative state is unhealthy for you and for the people you interact with. You are spreading your negativity to others, and you become an agent for fear. Who wants to do that? Who legitimately wants to spend their time spreading fear (negativity) to the people they interact with? Doing so makes the person look like a negative person, and while some positive people may spend their time trying to help such a person, no one can force them to help themselves. The result is that positive people move away from the negative ones, and the negative ones attract to each other and spread more fear. A responsible person checks their emotions at the door when entering into any discussion. Emotions are great tools, but they sometimes make us look bad when we say things that are hateful or things that we shouldn't have said. Complaining about the obvious is not productive. It takes up your time when you could be doing something else more productive and positive. We, as the players, can do nothing to the game to improve it. If you want to play the game in the state you initially expected, support the developers. If you are done, then be done and move on from the forums. While you have a right to be upset, you may wish to spread love around instead of fear. If you do, you may be surprised at how your life changes. Good luck to all of the people who are really upset about this. If you need help, I will listen to you sincerely and offer some advice, if you desire. Just send me a PM. Cheers, and have a great day! TL;DR: 1. Feel emotions. 2. Feel logic. 3. Use logic. 4. Be productive. 5. Spread love not fear/hate.

People who put money into identity and are not happy with the state of development should have known the risks before hand by doing their own research into kickstarters and early access. It does not take much effort to find information that will lead you to "this is a risk that you may not be happy with the results". The people who are complaining that they put money in and are negatively talking about identity are actually contradicting their own, because by speaking negatively instead of supportive, they are working against their own money they put in. Trying to destroy the game for the future because you are unhappy with the money you spent and did not receive a finished product yet will compromise you ever receiving that finished product. I am a kickstarter of identity and I will continue to support them in their goal to finish this game because as far as I'm concerned, my investment of money that I donated into the kickstarter is still there being put towards game development and I want the development team to use it and work on the game and finish it. Know the risks of your money - Do research on the product or idea you are paying into Weigh the worth - if you are not willing to lose your money, don't gamble or invest with it or only gamble/invest with the amount you are willing to lose Take responsibility for your own actions - If you have invested money, it is your own free will. What you do forward may have a negative effect on you or other people. Being negative does not solve anything, look at all of the positives such as; look how fast they have squashed all of those bugs in the last week or so. They are obviously trying hard to get everything up and running for people to checkout.

You know what, you have converted me to your way of thinking, old friend. I feel as though our connections have become intertwined, two souls binding together through scriptures and gospels of love. Love is love, love is life.
