2 pointsI have backed multiple "pipe dream" games in the last 2 years. This one about 6 months ago, Star Citizen what, 4 years ago? No Man's Sky when it first went to crowd funding, Elite Dangerous, also when first in crowd funding. Kingdom Come: Deliverance also while on Kickstarter. The only one I didn't consider at the time a risk was Elite Dangerous, because they weren't trying to do anything different. It was pitched as just another space flying game. It has of course grown since then to be more than what it originally set out to do. My point is, I find a game I think I want to play, a game that sees the border lines of what games currently do, and decide to cross over them, and if I like the idea of it, I back them. Some games I have backed were complete disappointments, never getting released, never being finished. Some released way too early, only to be made better after release, but many feel too late. No Man Sky, Gold Rush being 2 examples of that. But even those games who never released, they still pushed those boundaries, and other companies realized how much customers wanted them to push those boundaries too. Why is Elite Dangerous becoming the game it is? I do think it is because of NMS, and Star Citizen. I will continue to support innovation in gaming, sometimes supporting a losing battle. This game has the potential to be something great. But, even if it flops, or delivers only 25% of it's promises, other game makers will see that there are players that want to see this feature, or that feature in games, and they will work harder to get it. I don't support a game based on how it is, I support a game based on how it could be, or what it can bring to the table. Some in this thread sound like they have forgotten why they supported this game. Some, have been waiting a lot longer than I was even made aware of the game last year, and I get the frustration. However, put aside your anger. Some, are saying that there is no way this game will ever be good. Seriously, what would make you think that? A toxic community will ruin this game faster than any dev ever could.

1 pointHey, you know it is common sense for you to read/ keep yourself updated on policies. They don't need to make announcements as it is up to the users to keep themselves updated with those things as every company usually reserves the right to make changes to the policies without notice.... If you intend on getting a refund, why would you redeem your steam key? That makes zero sense and so you put yourself in that situation.

1 pointI haven't ever really been part of an organized community, aside from Identity. I have been in some communities, but not to the extent I have been in Identity. The worst: Certain Garry's Mod DarkRP communities | tl;dr DarkRP servers are VERY corrupt and stupid. I don't want to call names, but most of the DarkRP servers I have visited have nothing to do with RP at all. Everyone is some fantasy creature or the guy off of Splinter Cell, and if they aren't babbling about memes and breaking rules, they are babbling about buying "vapes" and "hats" from the in-game money they acquired from their mom's credit card. It's utterly disgusting, to me at least, that you can buy your way into moderation. It should be an elected position by admins/developers, not a micro-transaction award; most "moderators" I have seen on DarkRP servers abuse their power. I also don't think micro-transactions should buy you in-game money on DarkRP servers, because noobs get crushed and never come back. I try to RP on DarkRP servers, but I get heckled by cats and get killed by moderators who report me and get me kicked later because I broke a rule that they broke to begin with. You can't even punch someone without a band of millionaires grouping around me, shrieking "RDM, NLR". I kept dying and coming back to my death spot to throw snowballs at someone; it was around Christmas, I was just goofing around. The edgy moderators kicked me for throwing snowballs. I stunsticked an AFK hobo to death, I got a punishment (put in a cage for 30 secs. I told them the murder was an accident.). Moderators take things too seriously on DarkRP servers, and nobody really RPs. The best: IdentityRPG, obviously. I first saw Identity in a video about a year ago. I only joined the forum to ask questions, but when the community welcomed me and made me feel like I was part of a community, not a noob, I decided to stick around, and help answer peoples questions and greet people. The staff, from moderators to developers, are very helpful. The community is very polite, aside from the rare trolls.

1 pointThere is nothing wrong with being optimistic... your username alone says enough about your mentality. You cant just tell these so called "fanboys" to get out of here, they have every right to share their opinion even when you dont like it. You can have your opinion but please dont pass it around as facts... they missed some deadlines and it sucks but they are getting more experienced and what they have right now is something they can be proud of. It might take a couple years until the full game is in place but at least they will have put their effort in it and the game will have reached its goals.

1 pointHello best Community of the World Everytime when i hear about things working actually then i hear frustated voice that say: "they are kidding us" and "the team is not working properly" In other Forums they say "Identity is scam". Guys? really? do you follow the path of the developing to talk like that about the project? do you think you can do it better? I think you should remember that this is the first project of Asylum Entertainment! I think you should remember that this is not a 1000-Man team, that this game develops as if it would be the fifth part of the game! You should be grateful that the team is putting so much love into this project and developing it - every day and every night! So my Message to the Team: Thank you for all the strength and love you have invested in the project and will continue to invest! You are doing a good Job! The community stands behind you and supports you in every situation! Thank you! Please note: If I have made mistakes while writing I am sorry but I am from Germany and English I have learned only in school best regards John Allington
