9 pointsWe're getting close! You can now connect your Steam account to your Identity game account and obtain your Identity game Steam key. This key will add Identity to your library so that when Identity is released, you can download it and start playing immediately without having to do anything else. To get your key, login on the main site (NOT THESE FORUMS) at www.IdentityRPG.com. You can then go to the Account tab of your profile where you'll see an option to link your Steam account. You must have BETA ACCESS on your account to claim a key! ATTENTION! You can only attach one steam account to one game account, and it's permanent. Be sure you're logged into your game account which has the items you've purchased before attaching a Steam account! While you won't get Identity in your game library just yet, you will very soon. Handing out the keys like this allows us to reduce load on our servers. We currently have 20,000 keys in the system and we'll be adding more.

6 pointsHere's a step by step guide to claiming your Steam key in preparation for Town Square! Step 1: Head over to https://www.identityrpg.com/account/view/profile to view your items. You'll need to have the "Beta Access" item in order to gain access to the Modules. Step 2: Click the "Account" tab on the side and navigate to the "Click To Link" button beside the Steam logo. You'll be given a warning that linking your Identity Account with your Steam Account is a one-time procedure. When you're ready to make the link, click the button to proceed. Step 3: You'll be brought to Steam's website. Log in with the Steam Account you wish to associate with your Identity Account here. Step 4: After logging in with your Steam, return back to your profile page on the Identity website. You should now see a Steam key beside the "Steam Product Key" heading. (Clicking the "Linked" button beside the Steam logo will now bring you to your Steam profile.) Step 5: Take your product key and register it using Steam's "Product Activation" feature. You can find this by launching the Steam client, clicking the "Games" dropdown menu button on the top left corner of your screen, and then by selecting the "Activate a Product on Steam..." option. Step 6: You should then be greeted to an "Activation Successful!" screen, stating that "Identity: Town Square" has been associated with your Steam Account. Please note that Town Square won't appear in your Steam Games Library until we finish making the final few adjustments required to release the Module. Once we complete the final task on our Task Tracker, we'll then be able to make the Module visible.

5 pointsIt doesn't mean that. That's what you think it means. This could take god knows how long, stop being a brown noser. They could have handed these keys out 5 months ago, it doesn't make a difference.

4 pointsWe're getting closer, which is why steam keys were released. So you can have it activated on your account ready to go

-
3 pointsI appreciate the steam keys but so what? It's literally nothing, doesn't even show up in your library. Just because we are moving doesn't mean we are going somewhere. I can fully understand why he is still frustrated

2 pointsU should read the tweet on first place before acting like they already released the TS. "...You won't be able to install it just yet..." "...Town Square will show up in your Steam library the second we publish it..." Be prepared for at least another 2-3 weeks of waiting

1 pointThank you @subway244 for sharing all those links. I will read all of them and I hope I get an good overview what I could expect and things like that. There are tons of threads, Infos, videos out there and this is an good start to get more "into the game" ! So, thanks again for your help ! And all others here… thank you for your welcome ! I tried to mark you all, but it's not possible and would be marked as "Spam" message… so I don't want to make some mods angry Ich grüße alle die mich auch auf Deutsch begrüßt haben. Hach, dann bin ich ja vielleicht doch nicht alleine im Spiel

1 pointThe devs are working hard on the game and they have shown that, so there is no need in trying to rush them. Obviously you want to play the game, we all do, but do you want the game to be released in a broken, uninteresting, and unplayable state? Complaining about art assets when you want the game to be released is a contradiction and stopping production of art assets would if anything make the wait longer. Artists are not the ones programming so by them halting progress on art would not change the programming side of things, it would only slow future progression when it comes time to put that future art that they could of made already into game. Lets say you had a business such as a tech support company. Would you have the janitors help customers with their technology issues? No, because it's not their job and that isn't what they were hired for, but you would still have them continue cleaning the place even if you were getting a huge build up of customers.

1 pointWell, if you read this page; https://identityrpg.com/modules/townsquare you will know this poll is pointless because the results should all be for the second answer. However, there are more things to do than what you put in the answer, it is explained on the page in detail.

1 point@Paratus said, they were under DDoS attack. but they fixed the website now.

1 pointI can see your point, and i kinda agree with them. Not like its going to make anything better but still. Asylum should have never said anything about a possible release, eta of what so ever, they should have posted all the updates they could posts, and show. But nothing more, because with all the things they have told us, eta's etc, much more then only a time for release. Which if i remember correctly was already back in 2017. And yet still no game weve seen. I highly doubt it will be released in 2018 either, probably somewhere mid summer 2019 >.<" I stopt hoping for this game to come out, im sitting back on this one and my focus is on other games. Once its released it will be supprising they made it lol. Have fun hyped boys/girls, but neither i think this game will be out soon...

1 pointIt isn’t going to be in your game library yet, the error is normal. You linked your Identity account with your Steam profile, that’s it. It will be in your game library later.

1 pointKeep in mind that you can still see your speed on your HUD in your chosen units. The speedometers also do show kilometers, but the primary unit (larger number) is MPH.
-
1 pointThey just released the Steam keys to everyone who has purchased this game. This goes to show how the majority of people who complain about this game never actually stay updated or check what's going on before posting these unnecessary topics.

1 pointIn all honesty, sucks for most of the world. MPH is the lesser used standard globally. Check the map below:

1 pointIs this not exactly what we were told two months ago in a dev blog? Personally, I'd prefer to have my $150 back. We are at the same stage as we were over 2 years ago when I decided to back this project. What a mistake that was. How do I go about getting a refund?

1 pointA lot of people crabbing about "Lost hope in the games development." "is it even real?", "is it a scam?" "We've been waiting years!" Etc. I'm sure there are older folks here crabbing as well, but IMO, a lot of the crabbing comes from a youthful perspective that we demand everything now because we're entitled to everything life has to offer, as fast as possible. I've invested into many kick starters and early access projects. Very few were flops, (ahem DayZ), but the ones that take the time, tend to be the shiners at the finish line. Besides, my old a** could fall asleep for a nap and wake up next year, soooo yeah.

1 pointI would get a psyc evaluation from a doctor before going ahead with this upgrade... no one in their right mind would put more money into this game, especially where cars are concerned. There is a very high chance cars may never be released if the game does not pick up.

1 pointThose lamps, couches and styles you are talking avout are made by artists. Artists have done their part of town square and are not needed anymore, so if they would stop making these assets it wont change anything. Thats called spreading false information, noone knows when the full game is going to release so neither do you. Kickstarter only allows a year for the development time so this was not an expected release date. Since the kickstarter started in 2015 they couldnt go higher than 2016. There is a difference between updates and visual updates. If they dont update the tracker people are complaining that they cant see the progress that has been made. Just because the tracker says "updated 2 days ago" doesnt mean that there was any visual change. You cant just demand a release date, right now the tracker is the best option for them. There is no possibility of delays anymore now. Next time that you post something, please do your research.

0 pointsHi folks. For both new and old users alike, the Identity Shop may be a confusing thing. Thus, I have devised this elegant FAQ article, with the aim that I should be able to solve any problem you may have, without you needing to post a help request. Info for Kickstarter and Old Site backers. If you purchased your pass on either Kickstarter or the Old Site, then you will need to claim your purchase on this page. In order to do so, you will need to create an Identity Shop account, which logs your backer details, rewards, amount pledged etc. Q: I'm being asked to create an account when I try to claim my pledge, yet I've already created an account for the forum? What gives? A: Though it may sound counter-intuitive, your forum account and your Identity Shop account are two wholly different beasts. You will need to create separate accounts for both - however, you can still use the same username/email address. Q: I have created my Shop account and have inputted my email address into the "Claim" box but no claims have been found? Why? A: As the little error box already says, this might be because the system auto-claimed your pledge for you when you created your Shop account. This only occurs when your Shop account email address is the same as your Kickstarter/Old Site email address. If you are still receiving this message, yet no claims have been registered on your account, then you may be using the wrong email address. Ensure that your Kickstarter/Old Site email address is the same one you want to use. If problems still, persist, be sure to contact a Moderator who'll be able to help you track down your lost goodies. Q: What about my exclusive Kickstarter backer's hat? A: Fear not. Any rewards - including the backer's hat, beta access, free motorbike/apartment etc are all tied to your claim and email address. You will receive them when you get your access key. Q: I originally pledged $25 in the Kickstarter campaign, yet this price has risen to $30 on the new site. Do I need to contribute a further $5 to receive my rewards A: Nope, the $5 price bump is simply a short rise in price (caused by inflation and the conversion from Kickstarter's US Dollars to Identity's Canadian Dollars) for new players. You do not need to give any more money to receive your rewards. Info for Potential/Existing Backers Thanks for backing the game! Depending on the extent of your pledge, you will receive your rewards upon the launch of the game. Q: Is there any benefit to backing the game now, rather than buying it at release? As an exclusive backer, you not only receive nice rewards (depending on your pledge) but also a hefty price reduction, compared to the retail price of Identity upon launch. You also get to support Identity's dev team. Q: I claimed my pledge - what now? A: Wait patiently. You will now receive email newsletters from the Identity team informing you of game progress until eventually, you will be sent your access code. Depending on the level of your pledge, this may either be for the beta, or the game's full release. Q: I donated money for one reward but have decided I now want the tier above it. Can I upgrade? A: Yes! If you log into your Shop account, you will see that all prices have now been discounted to different degrees, depending on your original pledge. If you want to upgrade, merely pay the difference between the price of your original purchase and the next tier up. E.g. You originally paid $15 but want the $30 pledge. This pledge has now been reduced by $15. Be sure to log in first though! Q: Where can I track my backer info? A: On this handy page here: https://www.identityrpg.com/account/view/profile. There, you can access the details of your pledge (including rewards), as well as change important account info, like your password, date of birth or name. Importantly, you can also link your Store account to your Steam account, which will enable you to claim your key upon launch. You will also be able to opt out of exclusive backer email updates too, if you feel the need. Your shop account can also be linked to your forum account. Q: I signed in with Facebook but have lost all my items? Where have they gone? Accounts created via Facebook are different to those created without Facebook. To find your items, be sure to sign in with the correct account. That's it, folks. If you have any other questions, feel free to post them in the comments - I'll be sure to answer them as soon as I can! Thanks! Felix
