3 pointsWhy do we not get responses from the Devs or moderates? Why is the tracker not been updated? Its nearly the end of the week outmr we not going to see a change until next week or something this is so unprofessional. What's going on
-
3 pointsoh woah another topic senselessly bitching and bringing up things that have been discussed millions of times before.
-
2 pointsEveryone please. I get angry too but we cannot let that get in the way of this game. I say we give the Devs more time. I know how hard it is to make a game. SO all we have to do is give time. Also like I said yesterday GTA V took 5 years to create. FIVE YEARS. You guys need to understand that this game is offering a lot more than GTA and the fact they are actually getting us something to play is great. You guys need to understand that staying loyal to the cause will help the Devs. We must show that we still support the game. I would like to hear what you guys have to say please reply and I will be checking the forum hourly!
-
2 pointsIt is 1 task, which they are trying to finish and have working correctly. They can't exactly show progress on this one task. Also there has been 2 streams of Town Square already, if you get more, then whats there to look forward to?
-
2 pointsThe tracker is broken right now as most other parts of the site is buggy still but is being fixed.
-
2 pointsI'm Canadian, and I pledged in the Kickstarter. I don't bitch and complain like i'm 5. The game will release when it releases, "There's no transparency" "Delayed AGAIN" all this whining. Unless you're gonna develop the game stfu, sit down and actually contribute instead of flapping your gums every day that goes by fuck.
-
2 pointsWhere is this written? What database issue are you talking about? Can you link me to something? Also shouldn't there be a team dedicated to networking?
-
2 pointsNot sure. Yes, you are one of the people who have waited the longest time for this. I do agree but one thing is that Every company is using the "Release now, fix later" type of excuse just to make more money. Asylum is breaking that and trying to set the better standards in which was broken by big money companies.
-
2 pointsPeople are upset, Do you blame them? There is 0 transparency. They are not stating any issues they are facing to be clear why are they so behind. Stating that they had to start from scratch does not mean they lost the models, they may had to rewrite the code but then again it would put them behind but how far behind nobody knows. Also no developer is ever alone in, a lot of technical stuff is being helped out by the unreal team when you have the license they will provide support. In 3 weeks we have not heard from the dev team giving us some kind of answer and if they are so confident everything is going the right direction why don't we hear anything from them about it?

1 pointSo we all know that allot of people in this community are mad, and I can get why, and I think the developers also can get why they are mad. To everyone that is mad: Yes, I get it, you paid (Pledged actually) for a game, some even paid over 3 years ago and some only last month, as they were expecting a game by now. I completely, and I think I can speak for the team working on the game too, that they fully understand why you are mad. And yes, it is true that the transparancy is a bit lacking, and that we now have a "fancy" tracker that has been on the same thing for the past weeks. But all of you do have to understand that, creating games takes time. This is not activision with a million dollar budget, and this is not Rockstar, they are still trying to give you the best experience like we loved in Arma. Just for comparison, GTA V took 5 years, and research and everything behind it prob even longer. And they have tens till hundreds of people in their team and we all know, Rockstars budget is basicly unlimited. So for all you guys, be a bit more patient. Start arguing if the module is really shitty, then we can talk again. For the developers: Yes, we know you work hard, yes we appriciate what you are doing, but it has been 3 years. And you guys gave us dates, and you guys gaves us trackers. Instead you guys should have gone into the darkness and work on it, not like this as you promised transparancy, and being honest and open to us. And you guys are none of those right now. I hope you guys are going to give us the best module there is, but do remember, if it is not great at all, people will get even more pissed and I wouldnt be suprised of people in the states start a court case against you guys to get their, and maybe also our money back. Sorry for the bad english, and I hope you all now atleast calm down a bit.
-
1 pointNo, because for starters, they can't make the date more than 2 years as a expected release date on kickstarter. It only allows 2 years and so it was not there fault on that. Also Kickstarter states that projects may take longer than the expected time, which in most cases always happen. They? as in the moderators? Hairy is a Moderator not a dev and he mentioned it could be but it was delayed and so The full Beta won't be this year. We have 3 modules to get through first. Whats the point you are making? Them doing lots of models don't slow down programming and so it's a good thing they continue doing more models because then they won't need to later on.
-
1 pointYou pretty much complained about something, get an answer which is truthful as all the bugs/ errors since the new site launched and then you try rectify something again to complain more. Also it may sit idle visually but they are making progress as little as it may be and how long it is taking.
-
1 pointGive me a break, even if the tracker was working there would be no difference because there's nothing to update!
-
1 pointIf you are going to refund, well... JUST FUCKING DO IT. We do not care, just ask for it before it's too late. I really don't understand this urge most people have to let everyone knows they are pissed at something... This REALLY sound needy, to say the least. Now, on topic: Why? Why isn't reputable anymore? Cause you decided? So if you are fed up about, let's say, the shape of the Earth you go: "The globe isn't reputable anymore, the Earth is flat now"? Now, I really understand that ignorance most of the times bring peace of mind, but not always, like in this case. I mean, I don't even know where to start... It does not take a genius to know that an artist, who do lampshade and table legs DOES NOT MESS WITH CODING. Artist do the objects in game, developers and coders make the rest. Is that clear enough or you need a drawing? Seriously, you should have stopped your sentence before "BUT" And then there is this... I mean, why I am even wasting my time here?

1 pointOP I get you, I really do but, but the dev's need to get onstream and talk. even if it's to kill the rage. simply state where they are this week, where they aim to be next and then be upfront if the TS can't be released for the next X months. Communication is everything and I drop in daily to find nothing new. That's a problem as the release is supposedly imminent. Tracker needs to be scrapped, it's a dead duck. Rust do it well, open comms mid and end of week. Yes it's a full time job but it doesn't have to be at the same level of polish but simple, open comms are important.

1 pointSocially Realistic games are Rare, Which makes me more patient for this game. I personally don't care if it takes another year for this game to actually release its first module at the least. Patients is a virtue. I mean people that have been waiting 3 or so years, I understand the frustrations, but this is a Small team of Dev's/Artists Creating a game at a low price for anyone that whats a Semi-Realistic game. *Don't bash the Dev's for taking so long or such because you decided to pay over 100$ USD for a pledge, when all you needed to buy was the 30$ pledge which give access to the game's modules.*(This section is to those salty people that complain to much.)** Like I said in a Previous post. Assets take time to create, as well as GUI's(Interfaces). Plus they are still creating Clothing, Hairstyles, Furniture, etc to make this game as Semi-Realistic/Realistic as possible. Also for most personalized Characters you create in-game. I noticed people compared GTA V to Identity in a Development manner. Which is totally unfair because RockStar has a Butt ton of Dev's/Artists as this is a Small team. Horrible comparison. I digress. Patients is a Virtue my friends/foes 1 More take. Just think about it. Even if it takes another month or 2 to finish. In the end we get the game.* Then you can criticize or complain if the game wasn't worth the time of waiting. Other wise Please, For the sake of stressing out the Dev's, Relax. *Social Module
-
1 pointNot saying your post is wrong but they actually have a 1.3 million dollar budget.
-
1 pointWell that is good because then they are fine as there was only 2 release dates. Remember the 1st Module is only the Social Module and a lot of people should know that it won't contain too much.
-
1 pointNow you're just talking out of your ass again man. If Asylum actually had enough content to be released, they would have done so already. It's been three years. Asylum isn't breaking anything, they just don't have enough to release. I guarantee there will still be tons of bugs the town module is eventually released, and that's when they will adopt the "release now, fix later" tactic.
-
1 pointIt's hard for you because the kickstarter that you pledged on was in CAD and the exchange rate from USD - CAD has changed since then and so it causes too many problems really IMO. However you can try by PM'ing BeachBall about it while mentioning you are a kickstarter backer. You seem to have been patient for this long time but now giving up? IMO giving up now is not worth it for me as I too have waited for my dream game which I would rather keep supporting them and wait until it releases.

1 pointDid you even watch the gameplay streams? because they clearly tell you otherwise about content being there!
-
1 pointthere is no way to possibly know that. GTA and identity are two different games. GTA has a story, a multiplayer story, npc's and whatnot. These things are not as easy to develop. Identity has almost no npc's and the npc's they do have don't participate in driving and such, they also don't need to make a story or something.
-
1 pointThere's no way he was accidentally banned. Someone did it on purpose and a developer with a higher ranking knew the backlash they would face, thus leading to an unban. These developers are going on vacation with your backing funds, put a pair of contacts in and get real with yourself.
-
1 pointI'd be more ashamed that I'm not forthcoming than I am about falling behind. And I promise supporters would be more satisfied with disappointing news where developers are open about it, than deadlines going by with nothing and devs just dumping more promises to fill in the gap.
-
1 pointThis. I have run many websites and forums before (many more active than this) and it is nearly impossible to "accidentally ban" someone. I hope Psisyn isn't buying that, or at least is somewhat skeptical.
-
1 pointhello everyone. Im from Indonesia and hoping this game be released soon and we can play together
-
1 pointNo matter how you slice it, a competent development team would have more to show in 3 years time OR have an explanation as to why they do not. This is pretty irrefutable in the real world of game development. So I can understand the frustration of those who have poured money and faith into this game for so very little transparency in return. This is especially true if they are using Unreal engine or any pre-made engine for the backbone of the project. I'm not saying a game isn't being made, but comparing it to an actual competent team developing AAA games is beyond asinine. There's such a thing as a middle ground where people can be in the reality of what's happening. You have people with their head in the clouds going full support, pessimists screaming "scam", but there is that middle ground where we can both see a product is being made, but it's definitely not up to scratch for something with this amount of funding behind it and 3+ years in.

1 pointWe've had a lot of development progress and are right on the verge of Town Square release. There will be a new Insider very soon as well as a dev blog to catch you up in a few days. Check out the Dev Blog section on the forum here for a recap on those. On the video front, there are these. The task tracker, found on the Town Square module page on this website, also shows progress for Town Square release. There's not much need in monitoring it anymore since there's only one task in its final stage, though. When that completes you'll see Identity's Town Square module on Steam.

1 pointthat fact doesn't really prove anything having to do with your statement. You say they wanted to release it around 2018 while the comment clearly states they were expecting it to release around 2018. There is a huge difference between wanting and expecting something.

1 pointSalutations everyone, Our new website went live over the weekend! You’ll now see an updated FAQ section, revamped account system, an improved presentation, and more! We’ll continue to add more content to the site as time goes on, and you can expect to see the next Identity Insider very shortly! Last month’s Dev Blog mentioned we’ll be seeing one pertaining to “criminal activity and gameplay”, so stay tuned! Out of all the areas on our website, the shop page arguably received the biggest overhaul. It has an entirely new look, and you can now purchase items individually rather than in packages. Still, the packages that you saw on the old site remain available to purchase at the exact same prices they were before. You’ll also notice that some packages have even had items appended to their contents! (See: Up-Sized and The VIP) The original plan was to keep the packages found on the old website as they were for exactly one week after the new shop went live. We intended to take them down after seven days, leaving only the individual items remaining. However, since PayPal is currently the only payment option we offer, we will be extending the duration for how long these packages will remain available. It would be unfair to those who are ready to make a purchase but don’t have access to a PayPal account, so you can expect to see the packages stay up for a little while longer. Once we secure more payment options, we’ll be sure to let users know how long they have to purchase one of the older packages. Regarding tweaks to individual items, we’ll be changing around the “Custom Logo” item sometime this week. We weren’t very clear with what this item granted, so you’ll see “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” take its place. Those who purchased the “Custom Logo” item will be able to import a custom corporate logo in the full game. (Of course, if you aren’t satisfied with this change, feel free to contact me and I’ll get your account fixed up.) For reference, the “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” item will allow users to produce 10 T-Shirts with an imported image of their choosing. The “Custom Logo” item will allow your imported image to appear on items such as clothing, furniture, and even your corporation’s in-game website page. The “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” will display the image on the front of the T-Shirt, whereas the “Custom Logo” will appear in small designated areas on crafted items for branding purposes. If you happen to purchase the “Custom Logo” item before it gets replaced with the “Custom T-Shirt Graphic”, then lucky you! We may see it return someday, but for now, it’ll remain off the shop page once “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” takes its place. Once again, if you aren’t happy with this change, contact me and I’ll see what I can do for you! Another thing to mention is that our web developer has been hard at work fixing a few oddities that have popped up with the new site. If any of you suspect that something isn’t working quite as intended, feel free to message me and I’ll send your concerns to him! Lastly, you’ll see a new Dev Blog go up shortly after the next Identity Insider that will cover the new website as one of its discussion topics. You’ll likely get a more formal overview of the new website’s features there, so you should definitely check it out when it’s up! (For reference, Dev Blogs are found here.) That’s all for now! Feel free to keep us posted with any concerns you have regarding the new website’s design or its functionality. Have a great rest of your day, and I’ll see you around! August 14th Edit: The price of the Sphynx Cat has also been adjusted to better reflect the exotic nature of the animal. August 17th Edit: As of 3:45PM ET today, users who sent password recovery emails should receive a working key to log into their account. Changing passwords is still causing some problems for some users, so keep this key handy to get into your account. Gifting oddities are being addressed, and anyone who has had any items not reach their recipient should message me. Thanks to those who are providing feedback and screenshots of issues, I'll continue to convey such things to our web developer as its been helping tremendously!
