REALLY dragging this out. The Town Square is probably going to be a boring glorified chatroom... At this rate we won't see any significant gameplay for another 30 years.

From what i was told you can only go to prison for 45 minutes but you can stay longer if you choose. What i personally think is that this time should be adjusted mainly because a person that commits triple homicide should have to stay in longer like for example 3 days and i'm not talking about in game days im talking irl days which only counts when you're in game, for example lets say i play 5 hours a day serving a 3 day period id be in prison for close to 14 days irl. This makes it so people fear to go to prison or they tend to be more careful so they don't get caught. LMK what you guys think because i think this should be a thing

First of all, we aren't even sure it will be released this month, secondly Identity wont release its just the first module and you cant compare a module to the game seeing that the module will only be available for those who pledged... lastly you cant compare scum to this game seeing that it isn't even in the same genre.

Hey there everyone, just another ol nut here looking for a sweet virtual world to immerse myself into. In all seriousness, I used to be a huge PlayStation Home fan back in the day, at one point even volunteered my time to become a Home Community Volunteer or "Guide" and help new psh peeps learn the ropes and fully understand the beauty of a virtual world (shout out to all my psh peeps). I was pretty devastated when it closed down and tried searching for another virtual world for quite some time but eventually gave up as none of could really pull me in like psh did, that is until I heard about this game a couple of weeks ago. This game really caught my eye and got me actually excited once again just like psh did when I first discovered it. Anyways I am super excited to see what the development team can come up with and would encourage them to take their time in making something beautiful for us all and not rush it (as some people in this community seem to want). Anyways, I am done rambling and look forward to meeting the community.

The First Module is advertised as just a "Social Module (A small standalone piece of the full game)". People don't realise it and it is there fault alone for not reading up on the 1st Module. Also there has been lots of "road blocks" along the development journey and game development will always have these "road blocks" even if you try avoid things, there will always be something which slows you down. The games development has hit many road blocks and also been diverted and hit traffic along the way causing a longer journey to the destination.

To show to your community that work is still being done. It would take all of a minute or two to do it.

Speaking from a computer science student's perspective, generally what we are taught when creating a piece of software is to expect there to be bugs on launch and potentially add more features after launch (otherwise we would bang our heads land add way too much time on the release date looking for bugs and making it perfect). My guess is that the initial release might not have all of the module features, but that doesn't stop them from still adding those features. There can obviously be marketing issues with this as people like yourself can clearly misread what is being presented as being available right away. That being said, we've waited so long; yet, complaining about it never creates a better outcome. Why not be excited about it getting closer rather than complaining about it? I get that people are impatient and pre-paid, but would you rather have paid for a piece of garbage that you can barely load due to them not being ready or would you rather have paid for a solid start to a game that you can enjoy in it's infant stage?

Agree, the number of people who have the wrong idea about what module 1 actually is is astonishing. You will be able to walk around, chat, go to a karaoke bar, play chess and change your outfit... I'm pretty sure u could pretty much do all this in children's visual chat rooms when I was 10 (22 year ago). The disappointment for many will be huge I feel.

So just to squash anything that people are using as leverage in regards to "time" as a topic: One simple statement can be made: Look at the years it's taken for them to release GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. If GTA VI is in the making by any means (GTA 6), then it's sure taking some time, as GTA V was released years ago. Why does this not strike anybody's attention? Because they announced it months before release, not years prior. Asylum Entertainment has great people behind it, wonderful representatives and employees that continue to remain dedicated to all of this regardless, and they're doing a wonderful job at paying attention to detail more so than other game developers care to with their games. This being said, this is a small team, developing a HUGE project, and SUCCEEDING! Ask yourself before you use time as a constraint (I have been following this dev tracker for quite some time now) how many employees and designers Rockstar Games has driven between Rockstar North and Rockstar Games. Then return with some politeness to the efforts that 12 have made versus hundreds that don't pay the same amount of attention to detail and customization. Just to scale it up for you: NO: You cannot expect 20,000 pieces of clothing, advanced physics with COMPLETED vehicles with extreme amounts of detail in paint and interior, with valid functioning components individually coded and hex-applied, and entirely functional buildings with open movement customization with frame by frame model animations for every single minor and great interaction, in a blink. It takes hours to perfect a piece of clothing. Take up game development, and study it a good bit, and you'll understand it.

I'm not forgetting that games can die... however it isn't often the case where games die because players can't play at 300FPS on ultra low graphic settings. While I agree, rendering individual blades of grass in town square isn't really necessary... however, if you put that same graphic-altering scenario in the wilderness, and you have players hiding in long, individual blades of grass, that's where it becomes less about graphic-altering, and more about game-altering. If on low settings, or having options to remove those blades is available, that can be the difference between a criminal being completely hidden, or completely exposed, and be based on what settings you have - which removes aspects of gameplay which should not be available in a game designed to be as immersive as this game intends.

To be honest, I'd prefer it to be the other way around... purely because players tend to be complete dicks these days that will do anything to gain an advantage over someone when it comes to multiplayer. In PUBG, players would turn off all additional texturing and detail, and that ultimately led to you thinking you're safe hiding in a bush, but on the "cheats" screen, you're sat still out in the open fully exposed... this shouldn't be the case in an immersive game, you can't just turn bushes off IRL, so you shouldn't have that option in this game imo, or to turn off a lot of detail that could otherwise alter the way the game is played.

I posted a friendly comment and yet people get so hurt over something they didn't finish reading or they didn't understand
