    Am I the only one who is incredibly excited for the apartment customisation? From what I can see this game in general is only slightly above average game, however the apartment customisation aspect is absolutely incredible and far beyond anything I have personally ever seen. The Housing video is actually the reason I decided to pledge. What do you all think?

    Who the hell do you people think you are? Personally I have an issue with pompous arrogant know it all's. I really cannot believe how much audacity some people have...How do you have the nerve to tell them how much they should be working...it's seriously time to grow up and stop tellin people how do their jobs...especially in an industry that you have NO CLUE about. Buying & playing games, and reading Game Informer doesn't make you a foremost authority on how to make games...Especially if you comparing them to other people...EVERYONE ISN'T THE SAME! Who are you people to tell them how they should be getting things done? I don't get it. Who died and left you Lord Of The Apes? Now your comparing them to doctors and bankers...? SMH...FACE PALM. I got the speed demon package, and I'm not here telling them how to do their job and make their game. The only schedule that they are behind on...is their own, they set deadlines for themselves, no one else set them. Honestly, calling them lazy and not willing to make sacrifices is about as arrogant as you can get, short of saying you can do it faster...LMAO you're lucky I'm not a developer on this game, with your massively faulted way of thinking and logic, I would give you ur pledge back out of my own pocket and tell you to F off. Your comparing the making of video game work ethics, with those of doctors and bankers...yea you have no clue what the hell you are talking about. What is generally expected is...that when you are doing a project, that entails making a game like no one has ever made before...you don't compare them to SHIT THAT's ALREADY BEEN DONE. You knob! It's not even my game and I'm getting pissed off. lol But I have invested a pretty penny to play this game. People like you aren't going to make this process any faster or easier if you keep spreading seeds of doubt. Honestly if it were to fail...I would blame the "supporter's" not the developer's. I might not agree with how they've done certain things, but it isn't my project, so I let them do them. When I'm doing my thing I don't like to be told how and when it should be finished...Especially by someone who has no clue or experience in what is being done. If you support them then you don't have to agree with their process, you just have to support what they are trying to accomplish. If we can give developer's like UbiSoft Rockstar etc...our undying support even after they screw up...with all their resources and experience then it should go without saying that these guys deserve the same. Considering that Asylum is attempting to make a game that not one veteran company has decided to take on. So please get off your high horse and either support the game or don't, but dont step from one side of that line to the other depending on if they are moving fast enough to not get your panties all bunched up.

    In my opinion this game unfortunately will not run its course... They will probably release TS around late august to early september, by then everyone will be even more pissed than they are now and what will happen when they login to TS? Be able to walk around, play chess and sing some karaoke? Everyone is begging for TS to be released, not really realising that it is literally just the engine? Oh wait... i think you can pick up a paper too... So following this release, people will get their refunds because there is nothing to actually do in the game and the time frame between modules will clearly be a very long process with minimal communication from devs to investors. This will equal a pissed off player base who as I just said, will either get a refund, or just simply stop playing the game. By the time the full game comes out (if it ever actually does) it will have lost its player base, community and will not get off the ground properly. The more likely outcome is it getting almost to module 2 and the whole thing just crashing down due to lack of funding.

    Just wondering what everyone is planning on doing for most of their time in Town Square. Watching movies, playing chess, or just making new friends? I, for one, know all my time will be spent in the karaoke bar.

    The animations in the Identity gameplay videos especially with the running and moving around/ looking around animations look very unnatural like there is no transition between when your character walks to runs making it look really unrealistic will this be changed or is that the final running animations for the game... Also I'm not the only one who has complained about this either, I just think it ruins the effect of the game being like real life if the character animations aren't realistic what so ever, they just seem a bit too basic for my liking something you would find in a game make in the early 2000s.

    This game is very detailed which takes a lot of work to produce without bugs and glitches. The Devs are doing well on the development of the game so far. Things are gonna take time. Networking takes time. The high quality of all customization is going to be well worth the wait with just this first module. Once you guys get a taste of the first module I'm sure you all will want more of course and be happy with the Devs as they progress with the development. Patience is what we all need within these final moments of the last two pieces of the module are being worked on and tested. This game will be amazing and very successful.

    well, it was already mentioned that town square will only showcase character customization, inside of apartment and just running around the town square interacting with other players. This release of TS is not the release of the actual game but only a module (something to show what the game would probably look and feel like) so more than likely it will have bugs that the devs will access and fix. Do not get your hopes up that with town square you can run around rob, kill, drive, etc. TS is not even a beta version of the game. think of it as a 3d version of your facebook, only that you will not be able to upload pics, videos and stuff. just hope that the other 2 modules will drop significantly faster than the time it took for the town square release. only after that can the first real beta version of the game be put out for testing.

    I think the Town Square will release and most likely end up being a buggy mess with next to nothing to do. Shortly after that I'm expecting the studio to either announce that they're closing or they'll just close without warning. They obviously didn't understand how complicated games like this are and thought it wouldn't be too much more difficult than making a mod for Arma. It appears to have been mismanaged quite terribly from both a project and PR standpoint. I'm not expecting a full game, or even for the TS itself to work all that well when it eventually does release.

    If I came across as narky or anything I apologise. As you say you realise and understand that sarcasm and facetiousness doesn't come across in written form. ( Even in vocal form I sometimes have trouble detecting them unless it's very obvious and over the top for example.) All it comes down to is misinterpreting what you meant which while it's a somewhat embarrassing thing to admit it's just what it is and that's that. Yeah I agree we'll just move forward and chalk it up to a misunderstanding.

    Having browsed and contributed on forums for nearly 20 years now, I do realize sarcasm and facetiousness don't come across in written form. Please understand that I too am interpreting your messages to me in a certain way... however, I have no intentions of calling you out on it. Why? because I am probably wrong. Why am I probably wrong? Because we have established that emotions and attitudes don't transition well into written form. So what I choose to do with my experiences as an established forum-goer is read the messages and if the "feeling" of the message is not clearly established within the message then I choose the "feeling" that comes across to me within the content of the message. Basically, what you said but a bit more elegant. More importantly, I choose not to quibble over the "feeling" of the message or how it was received because it is a huge waste of time... just like this. I am not a game wrecker and when the game is available to play I personally guarantee it will not be ruined for everyone by me. Let us move past this episode of stating the obvious and get back to being chummy cyber entities for no good reason at all. Deal?

    They will try accommodate lower end PC's but as it stands, they say minimum 750ti. Which is quite low end to be fair and is also very reasonable. However the Community Manager is doing his own little hobby thing and bought a low end spec PC to see how low end pc's can run on it. Which is entirely his own hobby project that he is doing on his own. He will get bench marks for it too when Town Square is out. Remember though that the Town Square is a small piece of the full game and so even if the minimum for the game is a 750ti or below now, it could change in the future.

    You brought Rockstar into this. I never brought up other companies until you started comparing the two. You are talking about DLC's. We had the base game, GTA V, and we were waiting on additional content being released. Rockstar can afford to do this because they are a well-established company and we already had the base game. Asylum cannot afford to be making huge pushbacks because as far as the gaming community goes they still need to prove themselves. We have had nothing from them, and the first module was supposed to be accessible almost a year ago now. If we already had the TS module and they said they needed longer to add, for example, a bicycle shop, I doubt people would be complaining nearly as much. Once we have the base module, we know that Asylum aren't just false promises and so we will be more understanding if they need more time because we can trust that in the end their promise will be delivered. Comparing heists and Identity is just nonsensical. Of course they have the right to make mistakes. That doesn't mean we need to just accept the mistakes and give them a free pass. If their mistake causes us to get annoyed, that is well within our rights. You seem to think that people complaining is infringing on Asylums right to make mistakes. That's just silly. They can make mistakes, and we can complain. Also I don't know how you think I am arguing through emotion instead of logic, I have not stated one thing that is opinionated, and if I have I have clearly indicated it as opinion. You are the one arguing with your emotions, which I will come back to later. No one is saying we were forced out of our money. But we were told misleading facts which may have influenced our decision to buy the game. For example, we were told the module should be playable late 2017. Now, notice how I used the phrase 'misleading facts' and not 'lies'. This may not have been a lie, but it was certainly misleading. Even if we considered that the game may have been delayed, saying it should be playable late 2017 to a consumer means that even if we give the devs a wiggle period of 6 months, we should be able to play this game by June 2018. It is now July. This is not taking into account the numerous other promised deadlines, which only add insult to injury. As for your next statement, that is not entirely true. Faith isn't binary. You don't either believe in something or you don't. They stated their mission statement and right there and then people decided how much they believed in this game. And here's the best part, how much you believe in something can change. You might have believed in the game entirely when you read the Kickstarter. However after ever deadline being failed and little to no promises being delivered on, that faith starts to decline. Once that happens, you have every right to inform the developers about your concerns. You have every right to give lectures on how you think the game should be handled. Of course, Asylum have the right to ignore you, but you are allowed to voice your concerns in any way you see fit. On the contrary, a lot of people (myself included) started to lose faith but the gameplay videos boosted my belief right back up to where it started. Also, you mentioned that this game is taking longer than we anticipated. This implies we were the ones who set the deadline expectations ourselves and got annoyed when the devs didn't meet them. We didn't just anticipate that this game would have been out months ago, we were told it would be by the developers. If it wasn't for impatient people bugging them for more information, you wouldn't have the two recent Town Square streams. You are welcome. That is life. This is how it works in every industry, you need to make your shareholders/investors happy, because if they aren't they can withdraw their investment. Kickstarter isn't a charity, it is a funding platform. If people think they are funding something that doesn't even exist or that they don't believe in, they can withdraw their investment. So yes, it is very important you make your investors happy. That's the trade-off of crowdfunding, if they didn't want to have to deal with all of this they should have got a private investor. How exactly does this game leap bounds ahead of what any developer is doing? I mean, don't get me wrong, I am personally impressed with this game but let's not pretend it's some incredibly unique and different game that is miles ahead of the industry. It is just another simulator like Arma Life, DarkRP or any of those RP games. In my own opinion this game does it better than the mentioned games, but let's not pretend that it is some absolute gaming masterpiece. It is a good take on a more niche part of the gaming industry, that is it. Also I hope you are joking about wanting this game to take 10 years to develop. That is just sad.

    The finishing touches Greetings, and again thank you, to all of Identity's backers receiving this dev blog. Everyone's been hard at work putting together a game that can change the industry, and you're soon going to be getting your first taste. With the Town Square (Identity's first social gameplay module) nearing release, we're hard at work testing and putting the finishing touches on two of the major features. Everything's been progressing very well and I'm quite proud of the team. These last systems are the art/canvas mechanics and the player housing. Both of these have been functional for a long time, although a couple tweaks need made before we push Town Square out the door. A few minutes of decorating an Ash Hill penthouse We've added a new button in the elevators to allow you to visit a public version of any apartment. You can run around and see them in their default state before committing to buying them for yourself. This will be a very useful way to explore the available options, given that some of the floorplans will be very rare to come across with other players. Above is the penthouse after a few minutes of quick decoration. I'm not exactly a decorator, myself, but you can get a good idea of the way it looks now! It's a huge space with three large bedrooms (which means you and two friends can use it as your home) and tons of storage. We've had to refactor the backend of the housing system a good bit, but the end result you see is everything you saw in the prior Identity Insider apartment video. All features shown then will be ready for you soon in the Town Square! We have lots of other cool features coming for your house parties that you haven't seen yet, too. If you've been following our progress through the tracker, you'll have seen that just a couple of days ago it progressed to its current point, with only two tasks remaining at the in-testing state (the ones I described above in this blog post). The future of the Dev Blog This may be one of the last couple developer blogs being sent out in this format as we're planning on soon transitioning to more frequent developer video blogs! In the past, it's always been myself who wrote these blog posts. They've been a great way to reach out and letting everyone who doesn't follow us on social media know what we've been up to. That said, I think I speak for most people when I say video is more interesting and entertaining! Look forward to meeting the team face-to-face in short but frequent videos. Some will be general updates about our work on Identity and some will be focused on certain aspects within the game. Also, on that note, you're going to be getting a very interesting Identity Insider very shortly, covering criminal activity and gameplay. It's a major part of the game and we've surprisingly not been asked many questions about these systems in the past. You'll be getting all kinds of juicy new information and ideas of what you're going to encounter! The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information.     I am sure they will welcome that week to get extra servers sorted etc. ready for us all trying to connect at once. There is a lot more to it than just uploading a client. Its laughable all these people coming on here mouthing off about how they think things should be done. Just because you put you small drop of money in a project, doesn't give you any right to dictate it. I have shares in major companies. I don't get to dictate their business because my small share doesn't matter. Nor does yours here. They want to achieve a successful launch as it could make the difference between them gaining more players or disappearing in to obscurity with all the other failed games. That matters more than you getting access to a small proof of technology a week earlier.
