Hello it's me again. I keep getting notifications from peoples replies to this topic and it makes me wanna decide if I want to be a part of it or no. That, or go with my own idea for political party that's too unrealistic lol. Again I feel like... there is potential. I'd like some detailed scenarios to better make a decision though, just to see how this all would play out.

I've been keeping an eye on the Dev Tracker they have put up for a while. Every now and then I'll look and see somethings gone from "In Progress" to "In Testing", or just "Completed" all together. Progress is being made.

@LuckyDuck There were no after launch talks 2 years ago. It says the TS features INCLUDE a barbers and Tattoo Shop. It doesnt say they are coming in later update's. It literally says "After creating your character you'll find tattoo parlors, barber shops and more to help achieve a unique look". Not you can customize your character but then also achieve a more unique look when the barber and tattoo shops are available in a free update. Please find me something what says the barber and tattoo shop are included in post launch updates from when the website launched, not recently in the gameplay videos. Now listing false features on the TS page. They should go back and edit that page as its very misleading. No where on that page does it say "barber shop and tattoo parlor will be added in later updates" It is displayed to be in from the start.

BETTER DEAD THAN RED About Us: The BDTR movement aims to protect the citizens of identity from the threat of communism, with the rise of communist and socialist movements growing we need an organization to keep them at bay. The communists will reply to this saying "WhaT Do YoU MeAn THe ThReaT of ComMunism1!!" whilst simultaneously having organizations set up to "execute" capitalists and law enforcement who are just doing their job, they will try to bully you into believing that every worker wants a communist society whilst this is simply not the case, unlike communists and socialists BDTR members know how to open up a history book and see the destruction and pain every single communist movement caused. They claim they are communists because they do not want the product of their labor to go to someone who has never worked a day in their life, when in communism it goes to an EVEN smaller group of people who do not work a day in their life, whilst they also control everything about your life. However I'm sure I don't need to explain why communism is bad to 95% of you reading this. What we do: Although the BDTR movement is listed under criminal organizations, we are far from criminals but this is the best suited place for it as we are willing to perform illegal activities if it is for the greater good towards protecting our citizens and law enforcement that risk their lives to keep us safe. Unlike our communist counterparts, we will not just walk around "executing" communists, because our brains have actually developed past a primitive state and we do not want to kill someone just because of their beliefs! However, if the communists want war, we will give them a bloody war! BDTR is a non-commitment organization meaning we understand people have lives to live and money to be made, so we have absolutely no problems with you simultaneously being apart of another organization. Back onto the topic of what we actually do! - Weekly anti-communist marches and meetings. - Suppressing communist and socialist movements. - Protecting law enforcement, politicians and business owners from these so called "executions" - Breaking up large gatherings of socialists and communists. Join us: If you are interested in joining the BDTR movement, you can apply via the forum link listed below! as we previously stated, the BDTR movement is not a full time commitment and we are fully in support of you being apart of another organization or having a job! we are also highly interested in partnering with business and other organizations who also share our beliefs and support our movement. We understand people are busy and people are different so the requirements listed below are more guidelines, just by joining our organization you are supporting us! Requirements: - 18+ Preferred. - Have a mic. - Have discord. - Ability to march & attend a meeting once a week. - Ability to pay 5$ a week towards the organization. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SGsC3P1Ge_y_iwwwl88uQ0z7y55NCS3bHkh5dQOaSy4 Other info: The 5$/ week goes towards paying our headquarters rent, buying equipment and transport for our members! 100% of income will go back into the organization! We will sell T-shirts and flags if you would like to support our organization without joining. Any questions leave them below, cheers!

So... We're about two months behind the "definite" release date of Town Square now. I'm not one to complain at this stuff as I understand game development can take longer than expected when you really want to perfect something. However, the Town Square is essentially a beta module, so really it doesn't need to be perfect before it can be released, that said I'm really looking forward to actually getting in to see what the game looks and feels like, and how the interactions work. My biggest worry with Asylum right now, is not their failure to meet their own deadlines, but it's the complete lack of official communication. I've posted numerous times now that Asylum need to be more engaging with their community; there's nothing being released on their own official website about... well, anything. - The last announcement was April 20th. - The last dev-blog was a month ago. - The last stream was 3 days ago (quite recent, but before that, it was a month... and there's only 5 videos total on their YouTube channel). - The twitch account doesn't seem to have any real content aside from watching someone design a singular object with someone talking over it... and while it's cool to see some things being made by professionals, I really don't get why objects like this are still being made when the module is two months behind its definite release date... surely a deck-chair or lamp or whatever can wait. That's purely aesthetic extras which shouldn't be holding up development at all. - The last I heard was the TS module will be released when the new website goes live at the end of April / start of May, but still no website or any further update on that front. So what gives? Why is there an absolute void between Asylum and their own community? Either I'm missing critical information channels here that are filling these voids, or there's a massive void where there should be a huge flow of information two months past their own deadline. It really shouldn't be too difficult with a Community Manager to simply put out a quick update article every week detailing what's happening, why there are delays, what the team is working on, where the game's direction is heading etc... you know, simply engage with your community. I used to have a huge presence in Halo 3's Forge on a community site called Forge Hub, and we released several article pieces weekly... it isn't that difficult, and the staff members back then did it all for free. One article every three months is NOT keeping a community informed, and currently a lot of this community aren't just community members, they've paid in advance for this game and need to be treated like customers... and you shouldn't be misinforming and keeping your customers in the dark. EDIT: This isn't a topic to discuss the deadline, or why development is slow... it is to discuss the lack of communication, and why the communications put out there are all scattered across several different media outlets, as opposed to being uniform and on their own website.

Because not everyone in the development team is specialized in the same thing, even if they were specialized in the same thing it would take just as long because the people who would have to change tasks would still need to read through all the code since they didn't write it.

tattoo parlor and barbershop are suspected to launch a few days after TS, from then on people will have that option after creating their character. are you really going to bitch about that? it's like you're just searching for stuff to make them look bad

No offence but there's a difference between determining loyalty and just outright being a cherry picker. Now if you'd like to discuss work I may be able to help you out with that, feel free to privately message me and I'll invite a contact. Whatever we discuss stays within privacy. Offers there if you want it.

As there clearly seems to be some form of breakdown in communication here, I haven't asked any questions that have already been answered; I've asked why there's a severe void in official communications, and why the existing forms of communications are spread across multiple forms of media: - Twitch, YouTube, Discord, Forums, Announcements, E-mail, Twitter... None of which have been answered, because Lucky can't answer that. If you read the original post, my entire post is asking why there is a void in official communication. The announcements section should be used to inform the community, and it isn't being used. The last announcement is April 20th, and reading that announcement, you get the understanding that the module should have been released at the end of April... that hasn't happened, and there's no official explanation as to why. No community members should be forced to go on a treasure hunt looking for information that should be readily available. You cannot say that there isn't a void in communication, because if the community were well-informed through Announcements (they literally get sent to registered member's email accounts) there wouldn't be the majority of duplicate topics that there are. That's my problem... and I have no ill-will to Lucky, he's doing what he's supposed to, but what Preston is doing is what a successful community typically tries to avoid, because if you look at any of the past duplicate topics; he's in there being just as condescending and self-righteous in them all. People want information, they don't want to be "put-down" for asking questions about something they've invested money in. Now, as for a duplicate topic, please by all means link in where there's a discussion about a severe break-down in communication. The only posts I've found aren't topic starters based on communication, but there are several people expressing the same opinion; I mean, the list goes on... but you get the picture. (For reference, this is just three posts I picked out key-wording "Communication", that aren't one of the three people that liked the original post of this thread).

these MC"s are a joke? ha. if you think police are going to actually protect you, you're kidding yourself. Police might be the big dog irl but this is a game.

Full agreement. I've been saying this stuff for awhile now - as a fellow indie developer, I think dev to playerbase communication is imperative! Organization is important as well. Consistency. And transparency.

Nothing changed today, the tracker automatically updates but to show the update on the website they have to update that manually, it says that it was updated today because the manual update was done today, this is just done to let people know this is the progress how it is now. I hope this clears things out

For Jokes: Since humans cant govern ourselves properly, why not have non-human intelligence do it? lol All joking aside, its hard to figure out 9 times out of 10 what is the best and what is not. I have hope though that we will find a good alternative some day.

Hello, @davidohgdf, we see that you are not an idiot and can open a history book and realize the terror and poverty communism brings to the workers that they "intend" to protect. this is why we invite you to join "better dead than red" an anti communist organization set up to protect the working class, law enforcement and business owners from the dangers of communism. please feel free to join our discord and we can talk further https://discord.gg/AY8AZNE

I saw the new video and that is what sparked my comment. The new video was more tell-y than show-y, and therein lies the problem. It needs to be more organized and show more than just running around and telling us what is going to be in there and praising the art/scenery. I did like the cinema, though, but they never really show much functionality for most of the things, tbh, making some of the potential playerbase wary that there's even anything much there. I'm an advocate for this game by the way not a nay sayer. But as a fellow indie developer you've just got to understand what flies and what doesn't fly when it comes to showing things off.

bro I play emergency which is still pre-alpha, this game has a lot of bugs but its out for people to play and they have made a huge progress from when I bought the game. if u release the game and tell people that its not finished no one will be upset because there is something. they can release game play videos all day long, and it looks good to me. so im tired of hearing "oh they are working hard." or "oh, there's a lot of little things that still need to be done." it sounds like an excuse to not release something. I bet you then this list is done there would be another problem to fix and wont release the game. its they gotten over 1 million dollars to do what ever they need to do with it. its just unacceptable.

If you wanted to seriously role-play a biker crew then you wouldn't need to kill people. Legit biker gangs don't kill people, especially small time wannabe trouble makers. Identity isn't going to be anywhere near the same as GTA, for a start yes you can get guns but what makes you think you're going to be allowed to buy guns when the first thing that comes up is " member of a biker gang "? In order to get guns you have to have a license to buy them and passing the license won't be easy and furthermore as far as licenses go it doesn't include fully automatic weapons. The second method of purchasing weapons is to buy them illegally from the black market but good luck being able to afford 10,000 dollar a piece rifles seeing as prices in the game are going to heavily reflect real life and earning money will be the same so unless you know how to perfectly aquire ingredients to produce drugs and know how to sell them to the right people in large quantities, you aren't going to be some big powerful scary gang anytime soon and the fact there are people who think it's as easy as pie being able to go round on killing sprees being the big man, you're going to get hit with reality in this game. And let's be honest, the police are going to keep an immediate eye on biker gangs seeing as the majority of them are just people coming from gta thinking it's business as usual. In GTA you can kill all you want and do whatever, in identity it's serious role play.
