4 pointsSorry mate, I don't buy it. Town square isn't the full game, the 'glory days' are a long way off yet, town square is going to be boring with very little to do. Unless you're a chess fanatic or something, don't jump the gun because it's really not going to be an exciting experience after an hour or 2.

2 pointsWell first of all i wanna explore the possibilities of decorating your apartment, i wanna check all the different clothing options. spend a lot of time in the karaoke bar, chill in my apartment and use the tv. Probably get tired of the decoration options i have in my apartment and redo it. Play chess. Make art. Make books that makes no sense and put them in the library. Submit my beautiful art to the art gallery take over the graffiti wall. That was some ideas

2 pointsA visual feast! As we approach the release of the Town Square, it's time to start showing off! Identity's gameplay is unique; there's no game in the world which accomplishes what we've set out to create and as a result, this will be one of the most immersive gaming experiences available. In some senses, graphics weigh heavily on environmental immersion and we've really started to show Identity's beauty in this last week. Last week, we did a short live stream on Twitch to show off the Town Square in motion. If you weren't there for the stream, check out the details below. Ash Hill Cinema ticket booth In addition to Identity's artistic beauty, we also want to show you what the base gameplay will be like in the Town Square. We do plan on doing another stream shortly where we'll move on into the interiors and interact with some of the features you'll find when you log into the Town Square. We'll have to mute the karaoke and streaming radio elements for Twitch and YouTube, though. I really do wish we had more time in our last stream but we were an hour late getting the stream started and what was meant to be a 10 minute display ended up being half an hour long. Half of that time was spent in character creation, so if that's of any interest to you be sure to check out the stream. I'll leave the video below. Ash Hill's Town Square in early morning Ash Hill's Town Square at night With our next gameplay stream, I'd really like to show off the Town Square at night. Check out the screenshot above to see why I feel that night in Identity has an incredible atmosphere. Night will be useful in Identity too; for example, some animals will be more active when the sun goes down. Just imagine running from (or with) the cops in the dark of night! A beautiful and well-designed environment makes great gameplay even better. Ash Hill's fruit and vegetable market As you can tell by now, I went a bit overboard taking screenshots of the Town Square environment. I'm so proud with what our art team has accomplished, so you're getting a handfull with this developer blog! The market seen here is in the Town Square, although it won't be the only food market in Ash Hill. Markets play a fairly important role, and not only for your own access to food. Gathering and growing food will be a safe and reliable way to make some money in Identity. It doesn't require any sort of investment, so it's one of your options for making a living the moment you step foot in the world. It will get much easier with a vehicle, though. RIDE bicycle shop The screenshot above is from the interior of the bicycle store you'll find in the Town Square. You won't be able to buy them right away, but once we start implementing our final vehicles we'll likely unlock the bikes in the Town Square, too. Bicycles will be an important tool in Identity. If you can't afford a vehicle (they're not cheap) then they're your best option for getting around town without dishing out cash for a cab. Ash Hill Tattoo interior My final screenshot today was the interior of the tattoo shop you'll find in the center of Ash Hill, and thus the Town Square. Hidden in the back of the parking lot behind the DMV, this parlor will be opening shortly after the Town Square release. Tattoos in Identity are either paid for or earned; some tattoos are only unlocked with achivements, most of which being for less than legal actions. Tattoos aren't available during character creation and must be gotten through a shop such as this. Town Square gameplay live stream YouTube Town Square preview stream If you missed our live stream of Town Square gameplay last week, click on that big image above to check it out now. If your email client is afraid and you don't see the images, you can always click here. I spent the first while creating a character and then took a quick look around the exterior of the Town Square environment. I can't wait to show more! The tasks at hand Our new task tracker has been one of the most well received additions we've ever released, and it's very easy to see why. As the Asylum developers continue to knock out tasks daily, we're getting very, very close to allowing you all into the Town Square. As of my writing this, only 3 primary tasks remain and are already in progress. The tracker is showing only Town Square tasks, although many of those in our team (who don't have anything left for the Town Square release) are already hard at work producing SWAT module content. It won't be long before you start seeing a lot of our SWAT efforts appearing, and I'm extremely excited to give you more information on how it'll play. Keep your eyes on the tracker, as it will continue (even after Town Square release) to be the best indicator of when you can get your taste. A quick thank you to our supporters We've been working hard to create the game that can, quite seriously, affect the entire MMORPG industry. Nothing like Identity has been done before, mostly because a game of this scale is a risky project for any established studio. It is because of you receiving this update, our pledgers and supporters, that our dreams and ambitions are becoming a reality. The ultimate RPG is on the horizon, and I'm so very grateful to the wonderful community around me. Again, I just want to say thank you as I sincerely appreciate your support. You're helping to create a game which thousands, who don't even know we're here yet, will come to enjoy. You're here on the ground floor. The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet

1 pointBorn in the late 70s in the Heartland of England to a normal family a mother who stopped work when her kids were born. A father who worked hard in a dead end job to Support and bring up his family. A older brother who studied and worked went to a good school and did well entered a job that pays and raised a family of his own. Des was always different the black sheep struggled at school always a social outcast quick to anger but controlled enough to never lose it and attack others. He attained his Basic education not really doing great at anything but not doing poorly either. He found school difficult hard to mix with others and not understanding why they were taught that way. He was not stupid but the education system failed him. He always had a respect and admiration for the armed forces growing up watching films of Vietnam, TV shows of soldiers and documentaries all this had shown him that these were men to be admired and to aspire to. As well as this from somewhere he felt a need to pay back what he felt he owed to the Country for raising him, he enlisted as soon as he was able. Wanting to push and prove himself worthy he joined the famous Parachute Regiment completing tours of Kosovo and Iraq before pushing himself to his limits applying and successfully complicating training to join Special forces he did two tours of Afghanistan. Fighting taliban and insurgents. Having lost brothers and friends he decided it was time to leave. On discharge Des was disheartened with the calls the government had made the way they had used and abandoned the forces. He took some jobs trying to find his place in society but always finding the same thing incompetence and selfishness in the management. For the the first time ever Des lost it, nearly beating to death, a manager who had chosen his words poorly about the army. Decision forced upon him he packed up got a boat out of Liverpool and headed to find the American dream With a few thousand in cash and nothing else, Des brought a bike and some leathers and took of searching for somewhere to call home. Traveling the country meeting with other people, Des tried to find something to quiet the anger the betrayal of all he fought for, a brotherhood, all he found was a society broken selfish, no brotherhood just people out for themselves. Arriving in a bar outside of Roseport, Des saw some bikes parked outside as he stepped inside and his eyes adjusted as he saw some rough looking guys with skulls sown on the back of their leather cut offs. The bar was a typical off road bar smelling of stale beer and cigarette smoke ,the gloom of the bar felt almost welcoming. Des sat down and bought a beer whilst looking around, he noticed outside the window, a van roll up several guys jumped out and started heading for the bar with bats, wrenches and pipes. The hairs on the back of his neck started standing up, Des had that familiar burst of adrenaline and a little fear something was about to happen. The guys with the skulls noticed the others as they walked in, before the blink of a eye, a brawl started beer glasses and fists flying. As Des sat drinking his beer watching the fight the newcomers started to take the upper hand. He saw the guys wearing skull cuts, doing their best to defend and protect each other but losing ground. Without really knowing why, yet seeing something in that group fighting for each other, Des stood before one of the newcomers, a quick punch to the throat crushed the newcomers trachea dropping him, and quickly putting down a one of the other newcomers with well placed bottles and fists, the skulls patched group soon rallied and cleared the rest. As Des returned to the bar to grab a fresh beer one of the skulls approached him. Thanking him for the assistance he told him of a bar he should follow them to and have a drink at. As the skull patched group left, Des noticed the wording above the patch “Apaches” and decided to follow them to the new bar for a drink. (its been along time since I wrote a history. I’m dyslexic so please excuse the spelling and grammar mistakes. FYI I am ex British airborne forces the service is very close to my own. )

1 pointI want to start by saying the following. This game is going to be a revolutionary addition to the MMORPG genre that we have not seen before. Something we all hoped for when GTA Online came out but better. For once, a small studio is going to do what AAA studios would never dare to undertake. Instead AAA studios would rather make games with micro transactions to drain as much money as they can from gamers (points at Rockstar). I wouldn't be against micro transactions if those developers had delivered on something worth the extra purchases. Indeed it was different but not innovative to the level Idenity is doing. The Town Square is set to release soon. I cant comment on the exact date as i do not represent or am affiliated with Asylum Entertainment. I have remembered their first mod in ARMA 3. I have seen the very vision they are creating And let me tell you, building a game from the ground up will allow the developers to do some amazing innovative things. We are clearly witnessing the dedication they have shown in bringing their vision to life. Trust me. This game is going to be something we will remember for years to come. All i ask as a member of the community and a spectator is for all of us to show some patience. Be Patient and you will see what i have seen. Coming Soon when they release the Town Square. I understand that their are some growing pains as it is a small studio. However, they are getting bigger and have all the talent to make a great game. Be aware that all the delays in the past and perhaps future ones to come; are to ensure that they keep a level of quality that can only be appreciated and respected. That is all for now. I hope to see you all soon when the Town Square gets released. Message to the developing team: I know the pressures you are facing. I understand that the impatience of the community can add pressure and stress but i can only advise to take your time in the developing process. We the dedicated fans are here to support the vision and stand firm in support to the developing team. Much love - A fan

1 pointWell, the Town Square Module is almost done. There are only four things needed to be put into the module, and all 4 of them are in testing. All I can say is...we did it. We have almost finally survived our long wait of one day being able to get a in person look at this very promising game. Hopefully, our expectations are met, and maybe, they might be broken beyond them. Who knows? The time is coming upon us to get a much further glimpse of what this game is to come. And weather you are new to this forum, or were here from the kickstarter… Thank you, for helping make this game the best it can be. The glory days have almost come.

1 point2 years after you promised a release date? Haha you dont know anything avout the release dates then, the estimated release date was in 2017 this was never an official release date and therefor no promised release, the only release that was official was the end of april and for as far as i know that wasnt two years ago, we have the ability to discredit your messages because you dont do your research, i mean i still havent seen any sources, show those and your shaky argument might be supported a little bit, as far as it goes now though your messages dont have any meaning behind them.

1 pointWe this is the way that the devs are doing it. They don't want the people to drive the s.w.a.t. truck probably because they don't want people having it all the time. Also on Official servers, there are no "RP" rules..... Not to mention, the vests that the police/ s.w.a.t. wear are for show, they don't add armour.....

1 pointTaken from Steam: "Before your store page or game build can go live, there is a brief review process where we run your game, look at your store page, and check that it is configured correctly and running as expected and not doing anything harmful. This takes between 1-5 days." Source: https://partner.steamgames.com/steamdirect

1 pointThere is no ETA but the module is close. The full game is far from completion.

1 pointFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. How are Kickstarter backers different from website backers? There is only one difference between backer rewards for the Kickstarter and website. Kickstarter backers will receive a unique in-game hat with the Kickstarter logo. Website backers receive a hat with the Identity logo. No new content in the future will ever display either of these logos. 2. Many people are confused on what the game is about. Would you mind telling us what your vision for the game is? Is the game more about Cops vs Robbers, or a balance between all the available paths? Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways. We’re catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or steal your ‘identity’! 3. What can you tell us about the world? World size? Player limit? We anticipate that the playable world size will be 200 square kilometers, or 77 square miles in comparison. This means that the whole map is 14 km wide, and would take about an hour and a half to walk across. We hope to support up to 300 players (or more!) per server. 4. Can you expand on the professions? We know there will be cops, but what types of jobs will be available for civilians? Will they be able to create their own businesses? Create their own items? etc. Also, Medics and Firefighters? Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met. 5. How will death be handled? When a player dies, some items such as the money the player is carrying at that time, will be dropped on the ground and will become accessible to anyone in the area that wishes to take it. Clothing items will never be dropped. We have decided that a player’s character appearance in a social game like Identity is important. You will always look the way you decide your character to look. If the player is not resusitated by an EMT or teammate, the player is then prompted to respawn at the location of their last sync (house, apartment, city) Private servers have some control over what types of items players will drop on death, if any at all. 6. Can you expand on how the housing system will work? Size and availability of apartments and houses? Players can choose to own or rent housing in Identity, while apartments can also be shared with a friend or roommate depending on the size of the property. For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. Apartments and houses are fully customizable, allowing players to place furniture and objects anywhere in the room. Home-owners can invite other players into their apartment or house at any time. Players cannot access another players home without an invitation. 7. Will there be any specific safe areas where people can go AFK or sit and socialize without being killed or robbed? There are safe zones within certain types of buildings in Identity. Metal detectors serve to preserve immersion, and will temporarily remove any weapons upon entry, allowing all players in the area to safely relax, socialize and meet new friends. These safe zones are known to us as “Sub-Hubs” or social gathering points that reflect on the lifestyle theme of their environment (Biker Bar, Business club, Bum alley, etc.). While many of these areas can only be accessed by law-abiding citizens, some Sub-Hubs are neutral and can be entered by any player on the map. Few areas are designated gathering points for active criminals looking for the right crime of opportunity, or new friends to help them plan their next heist. 8. How will player identification work in game? Will names appear above players heads? If so, at what distances will they be seen? As our design stands right now, the official servers do display names over heads within certain ranges. Some things like masks and balaclavas can affect this. Moreover, private servers have an option where they can hide names from all players unless greeted. By this I mean you won’t see the name over another player until they perform an emote action, after which you’ll always see their name.
