To be honest: I dont unterstand, why people still asking for the release... It was clearly said by the developers that there is no ETA and that we have to view to the development tracker. This little tool is still the answer of all of your stupid questions... -.-

We just need some proof man. Thats what the man is saying. A proof that something has been done to justify the constant delays

Just that. In light of the TS Module being delayed (again), and it apparently being so close to being finished. One would think that you would see some more gameplay videoes and screenshots coming from the devs to whet the appetite of those excited and to calm the nerves of those skeptical. It's just a weird choice not too release more in my opinion. Thoughts?

I think the estimation of CSTOVE is pretty accurate, maybe they might need the rest of may to finish the tracker, then one week to get it "released" on steam:)

i wasn't a fan of the tracker. in my eyes all the tracker was is something for the to lean on. they gave 2 dates and failed on those, so if they gave a 3rd and failed again it would be a shit show. however put a tracker and you don't have to promise anything, everything is there to somewhat see and people can make their own assumptions with nothing official. bad enough they didn't plan on the delay taking long and we are almost a month in.

I think it was a good idea and certainly better than providing another deadline/date which the Devs couldn't adhere to but I think some people need to manage their expectations a bit better. Keep an eye on it myself and honestly check most evenings but there's no need to post and stress when it hasn't been updated on the occassional evening (or over the weekend for that matter ??) some tasks will take more than a day to resolve and it will appear that little has changed according to the tracker but the Devs are making progress everyday behind the scenes. I guarentee the tracker only scratches the surface of whats going on in terms of development...regardless looking forward to the release when its ready just hope the Devs realise nothings perfect and not to obsess over the smaller issues

I think it is a good idea. It serves the community the information they need to know in-between dev blogs and Twitter Updates, and people don't lose hope about Identity when they see the tracker updated. It's also cool in the way that it puts the community more into the development process, where they can see what's happening, instead of getting updates once a month and the inner workings of Asylum Entertainment Inc. being hidden, almost. In the full game there will be a server browser where you will be able to pick the server you play on. All Official servers are linked however you won't get the same house on a server you have not bought it on and only the one you have it on. If you have an apartment then it carries over however you will have to re-decorate your apartment again if you switch servers.
  12. 1 point
There will be a limited amount of houses per server i thought, and you have to pay a upkeep fee for example every week, so people who dont play anymore aren't holding a house which can't be used:p So if you want a house you kinda need a bit of luck:p In case of appartments , there are a unlimited amount of appartments in theory, i think you could have several appartments.

I understand but its been 2-3 years and we are talking about the town square at this point, its not even the full game, not even close to it. I have been here for push back to push back to push back, delay after delay. Its getting to the point where you can't even believe what they tell you anymore, the tracker hasn't been updated in 2 days. Every time it is its just a disappointment.

In the full game everything will be explorable. Which is going to be like arma for example. In arma you can go into any building that you would like. This is what its gonna be like.

The devs are delusional to think they can perfect a pre-alpha build, especially since this is their first game . Module 1 is definitely going to be buggy and maybe unstable. The dev blogs should be informative on the development of the game or website and we are getting none of that. Just one concept art a month. Which should make anyone even a bit suspicious. The team is being particularly quiet these past weeks. They promised for transparency and they gave us a tracker that is extremely vague and needs to be updated manually and they blame another company for slowing them down which is very unlikely because this team is very incompetent.

Step inside my office! We're in the home stretch, now. The Town Square module is almost ready to go, and now you can follow the Asylum developers as we approach the release. Exactly two weeks ago we launched the new Identity Task Tracker; check out that link, or click the big green button on the Identity website. The task tracker shows you our progress from the point of release a couple of weeks ago until now, and we update every weekday. This tracker displays the data right out of our own project management software that we use to drive and organize the developers inside the studio. All tasks on the tracker are those that remained as of two weeks ago up to the point we consider the Town Square module to be ready for release. These are not all of the tasks we've done (there've been thousands), but just the ones remaining. I'm pretty proud of the progress our guys are making each day. It's only been a couple of weeks but you'll see the majority of those tasks are marked completed! It's really amazing what a team of this size can do when it has such talent. Keep your eye on the tracker; when our important tasks there are done it's time for a Steam release! We're all extremely excited over here. Town Square barber shop interior, work in progress The World Wide Wait An all new Identity website is very, very close to release. In fact, it's so close that we're only waiting on a technology partner to finalize their end of things. Our new website enhances the style of our existing site but is focused far more on improved functionality. A very robust new account system is in place to help you get in the game, and our new shop has some other big requested features! Finally, you'll be able to pay with dozens of methods (PayPal, credit cards, PaySafe and more) and even gift purchases to your friends. With the release of the new website also comes the return of the Identity Insider. The Insider will be a monthly detailed addition to the website, containing all sorts of information you may not have heard before and diving deep into a specific Identity gameplay topic. Our current pledge packages will remain on the website for only one week after the new website launches. After that, many of those rewards will never be sold again and those which are will be a bit more expensive as we prepare for retail pricing. Now's the time to join in the support of Identity's development if you have been on the fence! A look inside the Asylum Everyone at Asylum has been working like crazy. The poor guys are in overdrive and won't be slowing down anytime soon. In fact, just this last week we hired four new programmers to join the team, more than doubling the programmer team size, to ensure that we can get content to you faster. I've myself continued to put a lot of development hours in when I'm not busy with business stuff. I've added some interesting things in the last weeks including substance use and effects. You won't need to spend your time in the Town Square digitally sober! Mark, our graphic designer, has been taking his excellent art into the game engine with the creation of wallpapers for homes as well as a bunch of clothing options. I hoped to have a couple dozen cool wall options available to start with the Town Square release. When I looked over his shoulder today it was somewhere around 300. Wow, I can't even imagine the options when crafting decorations is introduced on top of that. We're pretty much ready to go on the art side of things. Those who follow us on Twitch will have seen Jade/Lee has finished will all of the housing floorplans and the final touches are being done to integrate them into the game today. A lot of our floorplans are based on pop-culture; see if you can identify them. You'll have the chance to walk through them in the Town Square to help with your home-buying decisions. Keep an eye on our Twitch streams! We're going to be showing some cool stuff quite soon. It's been a long wait for the Town Square release, but the wait is almost over. The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet

Hello all! I'm an IRL freelance graphic designer who specializes in logo design and branding. I understand that for a game like this, there will be many businesses that are in need of advertising, logos, website designs and much more to represent your company in the game! Ok so The tracker wasn't updated for two days because they don't work on the weekends. So it doesn't update for Sat. and Sun.. Thats why the tracker wasn't updated. Second, the Town Square is the base of the game. With this module we will see the other modules come out faster and faster. Thats one thing we should be happy about. Now I only joined the forums on April 23rd. But I have been following the game for years as well. Now be happy because they are done with the website. They are just waiting for another company to do something with it. The tracker was updated yesterday and I believe we could get close to completion this week or next week!
