2 pointsI was wondering how the smuggling system would work because if it is a generic system such as storing items in an inventory on a vehicle, police could find illegal stuff very quickly. Whereas I was thinking if it was possible to add a system where you can hide stuff under your car inside and all around it, so if the police want to do a vehicle search it would take a bit of time rather than checking an inventory. Also, it would be cool to place stuff on/inside your car it rather than an inventory. (I don't know what kind of system the devs are planning on but this would be my idea of a "cool" system.)

2 pointssorry but i hate posts like this. this is just self entitlement on a textbook definition example. you made the decision to back this game, no one forced you to just like no one forced the rest of us to make a pledge. sure there's been a few delays more than we'd like but that's life and you don't get what you want all the time, but you're spitting your dummy out demanding for more because it's not here when you want it, take some advice and be thankful it's not norway telling you this because she wouldn't put up with this for a second and i have to agree. make a choice either get a refund or put up and shut up because it's one thing to voice concern and disappointment but to say the devs owe us for a game we chose voluntarily to back is just pre-school behaviour

2 pointsI can understand your points and with any statement or opinion, there are counter points and different points of view. I am not the kind of person who gets worked up over a few bucks intended on bringing me entertainment, so to me, unless the company does just abandons the project, i can wait. Fifteen bucks is the cost to go see a movie by yourself, and you get to watch it once, 30 bucks if you take a date, so the low investors like me are sitting ok at this time. The higher your investment in something, the more risk there is that what you have spent it on isn't going to be what you expected. With that being said, you said some things that were interesting, how you have brought people to the game and that you have concerns. If we play devils advocate and say, "well, if the devs would release this or that, like more than a minute long video of game play, or live stream things about the game instead of CS:GO or whatever, it would be less likely that people would need to be referred. You could say, just release the module, continue working and do patch pushes to the module as you get them completed. There are so many opinions on what should be done here or how it should be done there, but in the end, the developers are going to do things on their terms UNLESS there is backlash like mass refunds or negative videos on social media about their game, a game none of us have experienced. So, i think that if we all just remember that we decided to back it, and even if we were promised the moon and stars, from the drop there was a chance this was going to happen. We have seen games do better than anticipated, and we have seen hype trains derail on the backers and pre order folks, like NMS. The more negative as a community we are and impatient we are, it shows and its less likely others will invest. So, lets all just be a little more patient, a little more tolerant of comments, even if we disagree and show the gaming world that this is a different kind of game with a different kind of community, instead of devolving into the typical toxic disappointed fan base that we have seen in other games. That's just my two cents and i think that i will catch some "Don't tell me how to feel" and "you don't understand cause you aren't part of the community" comments, but I am OK with that, I am just going to wait and see what happens and hope that we get to play sooner than later, and that the folks butting heads on the forums can be civil in game so everyone can enjoy it. Peace.

2 pointsEither way, we are all on the same team here. There's no need for everyone to argue about everything. We all want to see the game come out.
-
2 pointsSo where do you draw the line? So say someone pledged early 2017 and someone else pledged 3 months ago or even last week, is it fair they get the same rewards? You could argue well he's only pledged a week ago, he doesn't deserve anything because he's not been through what some of us have. Yes delays are annoying but so are self entitled people. You pledged, not bought. Even if they did release it early I bet the very same people would then be moaning that it's unplayable and full of bugs. If you wanted to buy, then wait for it's proper release when it's a full game.
-
2 pointsI do agree, but you need to understand that it was a donation, not a product purchase. You donated for the development of this game, not to purchase the Town Square. You jumped into the video game development wagon by donating and becoming part of the community, and delays are part of it. I hate that some people had to wait for years, but that is just part of it.

2 pointsIf the career is state-owned, for example, police or emergency services... there is no activity limit. When you do work, you get paid. However, if you are going to work in the private area of business, make sure your employees are aware of your activity limits and nothing should go wrong.

1 pointThe past months here at the studio have been hectic, but our labors are paying off. It is with regret that I must make the decision to push back the public release of the Town Square module from April 23; however, the delay will be quite minor. Because this is now the second delay to an official firm release date, and because we expect this delay to be short-lived, we are as of this announcement releasing the Asylum Task Tracker. The new task tracker, visible on the Town Square section of the official website (here's a link for you), offers the Identity community and fans absolute transparency in our development progress. You can now see the tasks we have to complete before we're ready for the module to be publicly available. It will be updated each and every day. The list is not long, and displays all tasks since the tracker was created only a day ago. When all of the tasks are completed, of which none are major, Town Square will be released on Steam and available for play. Furthermore, the new Identity website is on schedule for a release just next week! The new website will come with all sorts of cool new features and we'll be building on it constantly as we move forward, too. With the release of the new website, I'm also going to begin regular Identity Insider releases. These Insider publications will add a ton of very detailed information on key systems within Identity. Delays are unfortunately a reality of all game development, whether a game is being produced by a large studio with hundreds of developers or a small team, such as ours, with only dozens. We faced unforeseeable technical issues recently; however, all of the issues we had have been fully resolved and, as you can see with the new tracker, release is extremely close. As soon as we get some final bits of art in place, we're going to compile a Town Square trailer video and begin showing off the game and environments on our development streams. So to sum it all up, keep an eye on the new tracker (see that link above) and follow our progress. The tracker will be updated once per day as it has to be done manually. Once we get our production software updated so that it can be automated, it'll be a live display. I also want to say that you to our loyal community and fan-base. Delays are never a fun thing to experience with any game, so everyone here in the studio is working overtime like crazy to get you into our world. You'll be in the Town Square very soon and this is going to make the game a much better experience. I'm really excited for our first module release as it's shaping up to be a really fun and beautiful experience. In fact, the Town Square is much more than I even though it would have been early on; I'm extremely happy with what we've put together. I hope you enjoy the peak behind the scenes with the new task tracker and we'll be seeing you in the square soon!

1 pointLet me say that my faith has been shaken not only because of the 3rd delay(that I know of) but because of almost every single one of the ppl who I told about this game and got them to pledge, has come back to me pointing out these facts to me and I gotta tell you, your not helping your case setting all these deadlines for yourselves and then missing them. I got to be honest here...this last delay is a bit disconcerting for a lot of people that I've sent your way. Dev blogs with more promises that this won't take much longer aren't very reassuring after the 3rd time ...Let me state that I bought a PC because of this game. After years on console, the idea of a game this epic, that can really distinguish PC gaming from console, made me decide it was time to get a PC. Now if they can pull it off, Identity can give us a game worthy of playing on some of these insanely priced rigs we pay for. But honestly after all the hype, 3 delays that I know of, 2 of which were further from the first because they didnt want to come out with a date prematurely and miss it. Which they did twice anyway...Now there is a more detailed progress tracker, which is honestly what we shoulda had in the first place, that doesn't look very complete. It looks so incomplete it that it makes me wonder how they could announce and miss 3 release dates in the first place. Now I'm not sitting here with a $15 to $30 "pledge"...In My Opinion that isn't a pledge. That's just trying to get an epic game for a pittance of what it's worth. I mean GTA went for $60 brand new for how long after it released? Gta is only life as a criminal. Not to mention they had a blank check to make it with thousands of people involved in development. Identity is life from a criminal side, working class side, civil servant side as well as many other aspects. And ppl think it's gonna get made by "pledging" $15-$30, now imagine how watered down GTA would be if they only invested a quarter or half of what they did to develop it. They put roughly 265 million dollars into developing/marketing, just the criminal side of life. Now either the fan base expects you guys to work a whole lot of hours, or put 264 million on top of our 1.1 million...That is why I DONATED what I did because this game can be so much more than gta, but it won't happen without our help... I am not asking for a refund, the money I put in was theirs to complete the game, or if they didn't. I really want Identity to become a reality. But if WE as their player base and investors, don't give them enough funding it won't come out. They'll either have to give up or get outside funding, if they get outside funding they could have to give up alot of artistic freedom's. We invest to keep the game WE want to see come to life...They would invest to make money, so certain things would get chopped. I paid for 60 my game, and gave another 190 towards helping Identity become real. I realize the scale of this game and what it's going to take to get made, and 1.1 million isn't gonna cut it. A massive portion of what it takes to make a game is man hours. People don't work for free...So if it took them so long to make gta with a blank check and thousands of ppl. How long and how much will it take to make a game that is bigger in scale than one of the biggest games released to date. To say GTA isn't massive is crazy, and this is so much bigger than that. This is like GTA, meets the Sims, meets police, fire & EMT simulator, meets politics & government simulator, meets drug making simulator, meets hunting simulator, and so on and so forth. So I am hoping that things really are going as good as we hear. But it seems to me that maybe we aren't being told the whole truth...are they getting enough funding, or something else...It seems that we are only hearing about the good side of development, honestly the only bad things I've heard is when a delay happens. I think we deserve to be kept in the loop a little better. At the very least more than a very cryptic progress tracker with no date and another "minor " setback promise. I have $250 into this game, I don't wipe my ass with hundreds either, but a game that's this massive of an undertaking is gonna need as much help as we can give it..With that being said we've seen a lot of telling us how fast things are moving, and top industry talent is working overtime in overdrive, and things are moving faster than they thought, you guys have a powerful new server making nightly builds for testing on steam. Everything is beginning to have that polished feel you expect in a real released game? Yet 3 delays, and only a scripted looking "game play" trailer...And now no release date just a more detailed progress tracker that really looks like there is a very LONG wait ahead of us...yet its predicted to be yet again a very "minor" wait.

1 pointyou can see here the neighborhood in UE4 its a sample you can buy it on ue4 market place, i want to ask the devs @Paratus @Motown @Beach_Ball about this and will it be similar to this because this is how in real life the neighborhoods look like thank you what do u think guys ?
-
1 pointi want identity to not only invest their time and work only on game mechanics but to give effort to the housing and the american style of neighborhoods, i mean look at this goergoes view and imagine once you sign in u get out of ur house u see players jogging and running maybe playing with their pets and all that good stuff, some of them having fun in their backyards maybe partying and all that, then the police at night go and shut the party at the backyard of a house !!!!
-
1 pointYou can purchase houses and rent them out, but plazas I believe no for renting out. Yes, you can start a and mass produce certain items, like clothing for example. Yes, you can have up to 3 characters. No, players can not make cars.
-
1 pointAimed at nobody in particular, but I don't understand all this drama, it just seems so unnecessary. If you can't tolerate the release of the first module how are you going to survive the wait for the full release especially considering the features for TS are going to be limited initially in comparison to the vision for the full and final game. Also just because you pledged in no way guarantees you to a game or entitles you to hold the Dev's hostage, this community seems to quickly be becoming toxic. If you can't handle the practicalities of early access don't commit to it...flooding the forums with negative comments simply ruins the experience for others, of which there are many (all with different attitudes and opinions) and which also requires the attention of mods and Dev's and ultimately distracts from the development of the game.
-
1 pointPlease try to say this is a nicer fashion instead of heading straight to mean things. He didn't know man. You don't need to witch hunt hunt him because of it!!! Be kind to the community or there won't be a community for you to follow.... See you in the town square!
-
1 pointWe, the people who gave our money to them when they didn't have anything have been waiting for a very, very long time now. And I feel like the developers really feel like they need to give us something (in-game items/currency) back for all the waiting. It would be polite imho to do a nice gesture towards the long waiting (money giving (without us you couldn't even do anything right?) community. Last year/months, the community hasn't always been treated professionally by the devs. Just an idea. Edit: we are just getting a founder hat lmao
-
1 pointor maybe you should stop bitching and forget about identity, if you cant understand how much work developing is, you're not worth playing identity

1 pointThe weekend is likely the reason why it has not been updated today as the devs are not in the office and are likely home with their families with a day off.
-
1 pointWell, the fact that you bought a PC for this game shows that you are amazingly loyal to the game. But, that PC is going to do a lot more for you in the long run. Trust me. I understand what you mean about the delays, they are disappointing. But to be fair, this is going to be a very short lived delay. They make A LOT of progress in just a day.
-
1 point3 years. Also the 1st Module is all the base game mechanics and so will take the longest of all 3 modules. It is also a small team which is growing. However the first year (2015, they had 1 developer and gradually grew to about 20+ devs not all full time but some freelancers.

1 pointWe hope to have one running by next week. Of course, business is one of the most vibrant sectors of Identity. Next week we will be doing exclusives for the top businesses.

1 pointThere's a few things that make me concerned, even moving past the nonevent release dates. In the March 3 dev blog, they cited needing to "reinforce [their] server structure and do more internal playtesting" as the main reason for the first delay. That's quite a few steps beyond design/art problems. This is compounded with a developer insisting it wasn't the art stuff holding things up a mere day before the delay. Perhaps the dev backer with retroactively prove to be good transparency, it's hard to say at this point (89% was looking pretty tasty...) I understand the exponential nature of game design, but the lack of in-game media since March, including the trailer, is a little disconcerting. We're hearing a lot about the new website coming together, but what of the signs of progress that the module itself is supposed to be? It isn't entitled to want people to keep to their word, or to become frustrated/disillusioned when that trust is repeatedly tested.
-
1 pointDude just stop already. My gosh. How are you not getting tired of this? lol. I'm not going to discuss what you said because anyone can read what you just said and see the flaws in it. It's a gosh dang game dude. I said it's my opinion. That's it. Facts are facts. You don't need experience as a "tester" or a game developer to read the rules on steam. lol. You constantly trying to argue is not solving anything. Your argument just isn't valid. A tester doesn't develop a game. A tester knows only what they need to so they can give the game developers good feedback. I've said numerous times to drop it. So once more just drop the matter. Have a good day! Enjoy Identity it's gonna be great!
-
1 pointLet me address a few things here... The dev tracker is a GOOD thing, and it's being handled well. Since they tried to go the release date route, which backfired on them twice, they decided to go another route. And I, for one, am glad they're doing it this way. It shows FULL transparency. They're not hiding anything. They're WORKING on it. And you should be grateful they're showing this kind of transparency with us. There's clearly been a lot more to do before the Dev Tracker went live. Which they didn't have the time to do before the release dates. The Dev Tracker shows what's left to do. And if you even want more information, they have regular Twitch streams, monthly Dev Blogs, and a Discord server, where you can actually talk to the developers. So get off your fucking high horse, and open your eyes. And, you didn't BUY the game. You PLEDGED to help make the game. And get a copy WHEN it's done. The Town Square can still be close to ready, and not be ready for the general public. Close to ready is a general relativity term. And of course they knew it wasn't ready. They were hoping they could have gotten it ready by the release date they had set. This is how development of any kind works, you set a goal, and you try to achieve it. Sometimes, it's enough time. Other times, it isn't. That happens everywhere, not just game development. And STOP spread bullshit, they're not playing the victims or claiming they're innocent. YOU ARE! Get off your high horse, educate yourself, and learn to pay attention. There's a billion other things you could do be doing, than spreading misinformation and bullshit. They haven't been lying. They set an estimated date for when the remaining tasks would have been completed. They still had more tasks left to do when that date came. That happens, such is development. There's always delays in development. And game development is no exception. Sometimes, a task takes longer to complete than expected, or something unexpected happens. We don't know, and there's no point in speculating. But now, we at least know how many tasks are left, and their day to day progress. Instead of another arbitrary date. This is MUCH better. They didn't know that. So stop your bullshit. And again, you didn't BUY the game. You PLEDGED to help make the game. Which they are STILL making for you.

1 pointA lot of this will be in the game. But some of the animations you suggested won’t, like throwing keys out the window.
-
1 pointThese suggestions I think would add immersion to the roleplay in-game. If any are already planned, I apologize! Traffic Stops 1. Ability to see and "smell" items in a vehicle. 2. Ability to give citations, impound a vehicle, and give verbal/written warnings. Felony Stop 1. Ability to put hands up. 2. Ability to throw keys out of the window. 3. Ability to show waistband for weapons. Searching 1. Add a cool searching system where you actually look for items instead of a mechanic doing it for you. This can lead to things not been seen and stuff. This goes for people, vehicle, and property searching. Patrol 1. Many areas to patrol and escape. 2. Places to have realistic response times (a few minutes or more). Case Law & Procedures 1. To base mechanics for police from real life procedures used by real life departments. 2. To base police mechanics from case law and other laws like searching a person, arresting, etc. 3. Make the academy a big challenging to pass. This is to filter people who are there to mess around and who actually want to be a police officer. Force 1. Ability to drag people. 2. Ability to remove people from a vehicle and put them in a vehicle (must open the door first then remove/add)) 3. Ability to cuff/uncuff people. Other officer can add his cuffs and then other cuffs are removed to transfer someone in cuffs. 4. Ability to fight and tackle. Can be a fist fight, baton fight, etc. 5. Add peperspray (can spread to other people and yourself depending on the weather). 6. Animation for upholstering gun. Ability to put hand on holster to remove faster. Have any of your own suggestions? Comment them below!
-
1 pointIf drinking is in the game, the players should be able to set their alcohol levels too!
-
1 pointIn The modules, yes, In Beta you will have to recreate the character as it won't transfer from the modules and from Beta to release your character won't transfer. For the full game release, if you create a character on an official server then it can transfer between other Official servers but not from a Official to private or Private to Official or Private to Private server. If you need more details, please visit as there are a lot of updated / new answers.
-
1 pointYeah... it is crazy how they are lying to us... 60 tasks or not... they said they were pretty much done and blatantly lied... they could have said weeks ago.. oh we have 60 tasks left sadly... give us a few more weeks and we will be good.. That would have been way more well received than 2 days before..
-
1 pointI'm currently in the Army so I go out on field problems around every two months for a month straight, I'm just wondering about how It'll work out when I'm gone for a month or more and I got a character in the game with a job, bills, etc. will my guy be fired cause I'm not here to work? Will I lose my apartment and other possessions because I'm not here to pay the bills? Will it auto pay bills while I'm gone and I return to a character with no money? Just want to figure this all out.
-
1 pointIm just wondering, are you guys up to date? identity is DELAYED, with NO new date. The first module will be available through steam, if it ever gets released ; D
-
1 pointPlease add a tweak to your system. Create zones that magnify stress extremely high for the instigator in nice areas that would be unrealistic places to be attacked in the real world. At the same time don't raise stress very high for the defender when he defends himself with non deadly force in the nice areas/ low crime zones. -(One punch knock out?) This system will create a more realistic crime map that matches real world. There are wealthy areas with very little to no crime and other zones with very high crime. Plus players that don't want to be messed with in that way can stick to the good areas as they would in real life while also getting a jazz when they take a trip to the bad areas where crime is more likely to happen.
-
1 pointFirst of all, drunk driving is more common IRL than a naked person running the streets. Second, I have never seen a naked person run the streets ever and so it is actually rarer than anything towards drunk driving. People drink drove all the time and you can know this by listening to the news where people getting killed by a car from drunk drivers. Drunk driving is an actual good reason for a cop to chase someone compared to naked people.

1 pointJust know, you cannot host a server off of your own equipment/ dedicated box etc. You must rent and this is the only option to have a private server! Nice to meet you and I hope you have a great journey on Identity!
-
1 pointI believe so, or I might be thinking of a cafe but I am sure you can have your own restaurant. I will ask BB either way tomorrow.
