6 pointsLast month, you stated that you were nearly done but needed a little bit longer to finish up, and so gave yourselves an extra month to deliver the TS module. This, was clearly intentional lies. Judging by your dev tracker, you haven't completed UI, UX, gameplay, animations, 2D graphics, character art, environment, props, technical art, or systems. How could you have possibly been 'nearly done' last month when the most basic elements weren't completed. Last delay, you made it out as if you just needed to smoothen out some animations or design a new font, which was intentional deceitfulness. I ask you this, what have you completed 100%? Because it seems to me the most basic elements of a game aren't even close to being done, so what exactly is done?

5 pointsThe past months here at the studio have been hectic, but our labors are paying off. It is with regret that I must make the decision to push back the public release of the Town Square module from April 23; however, the delay will be quite minor. Because this is now the second delay to an official firm release date, and because we expect this delay to be short-lived, we are as of this announcement releasing the Asylum Task Tracker. The new task tracker, visible on the Town Square section of the official website (here's a link for you), offers the Identity community and fans absolute transparency in our development progress. You can now see the tasks we have to complete before we're ready for the module to be publicly available. It will be updated each and every day. The list is not long, and displays all tasks since the tracker was created only a day ago. When all of the tasks are completed, of which none are major, Town Square will be released on Steam and available for play. Furthermore, the new Identity website is on schedule for a release just next week! The new website will come with all sorts of cool new features and we'll be building on it constantly as we move forward, too. With the release of the new website, I'm also going to begin regular Identity Insider releases. These Insider publications will add a ton of very detailed information on key systems within Identity. Delays are unfortunately a reality of all game development, whether a game is being produced by a large studio with hundreds of developers or a small team, such as ours, with only dozens. We faced unforeseeable technical issues recently; however, all of the issues we had have been fully resolved and, as you can see with the new tracker, release is extremely close. As soon as we get some final bits of art in place, we're going to compile a Town Square trailer video and begin showing off the game and environments on our development streams. So to sum it all up, keep an eye on the new tracker (see that link above) and follow our progress. The tracker will be updated once per day as it has to be done manually. Once we get our production software updated so that it can be automated, it'll be a live display. I also want to say that you to our loyal community and fan-base. Delays are never a fun thing to experience with any game, so everyone here in the studio is working overtime like crazy to get you into our world. You'll be in the Town Square very soon and this is going to make the game a much better experience. I'm really excited for our first module release as it's shaping up to be a really fun and beautiful experience. In fact, the Town Square is much more than I even though it would have been early on; I'm extremely happy with what we've put together. I hope you enjoy the peak behind the scenes with the new task tracker and we'll be seeing you in the square soon!
-
4 pointsMost systems are done. Few are not. Having a task for a system doesn't mean it's not complete, it means we need to enhance it or correct some things. You see a few tasks listed, you don't see the thousands that are already completed before the tracker went live.

2 pointsI feel very disappointed at this time, i went out for the weekend and i come home to another dam delay, ive been waiting so long, Delay after Delay, i have spent all the money i could gather up for me and my mates to play this game together and this is what happens time after time, at this point, i know i will get hate for this but i feel scammed, im not saying there will be no game, im saying time after time ive waited so hyped to play this game and this is the excuse we get every dam time!!!

2 pointsIs it really worth a refund? When this next module does eventually become released you wont be able to purchase any packs for the price they are now. obviously if you're giving up of this game and its development go for it. But if your idea is to re-purchase at a later time, well you might as well wait and save in the long run.
-
2 pointsHmm. Shouldn't we get some kind of consolation prize for all those delays? Some in-game cash or somethin' like this. jk

2 pointsI've come to understand that to believe the devs lately you need 'faith', and 'belief', gaming is a science, not a religion, this is why I haven't pledged. I'm not signing up for something that could be snake oil, which it is beginning to seem like it is.

2 pointsHere's a tip, don't give a date if you're going to keep delaying. Can you really blame people for being pissed at this point? I sure as hell don't. We all knew this would happen anyway because it seems to be a recurring theme. You guys make a big announcement that things are going great to get everyone's hopes up and then when it comes close to release date oh look conveniently there's a setback like always. Hate to say it paratus but I can't be surprised if people start to think we're being strung along. Twice you guys have said this is being released on such and such date and twice you've retracted it less than 5 days before expected date arrives. To all of us that seems like you guys are just throwing dates out there and then extending it. The last time you delayed this you said everything was almost done and that you only needed an extra month yet now you've delayed this once again and this time there isn't even a valid reason. Suspicious is the first thing we're all thinking sorry but it's a fair and valid statement

1 pointCommitted to the Asylum Wow, what a month. This has been the busiest, craziest month we've ever had at Asylum Entertainment and the hard work is really showing. Most of the guys here at the office have been putting in a lot of overtime hours to get the Town Square module ready as soon as possible. I myself have been working half my time as a programmer, tossing some cool new systems together. I really, really can't wait for everyone to see what we're putting together! For the past few days my personal pet project has been a total overhaul of the character control and animation system. We're working on getting new animations entirely, but it's amazing how much nicer character movement looks right now after some extra TLC. In the past Identity videos, you'll notice the camera is always locked behind your character and you rotate the character with the mouse. Now, movement is a little more like games such as Grand Theft Auto in which you can run toward the screen or parallel to it, too. If you're holding your forward run key/stick, it'll play like before. It really adds a much better sense of control. Alternatively, when you're in combat mode (weapons or melee), the view is again locked behind your shoulders. None of this applies to first-person view, of course. We've been putting a lot of time into polishing and enhancing character creation and customization in preperation for the Town Square launch. I wanted to share a screenshot to give you an idea of the extensive customization options available. You can control your gender, race, blemishes, hair and a ton of facial modifiers. You can select from a couple dozen pieces of clothing to start in, too, but most will have to be purchased at a shop. Character creation work in progress I've been waiting a very long time to see Identity in the state it is right now. We have a powerful new server making nightly builds for testing on Steam and everything is beginning to have that good polished feel you expect in a real, released game. There's still work to be done but it's an incredibly exciting time for us here. Sooner rather than later There are all sorts of features we want for the Town Square which were always planned to be added months after release. With art development moving at a faster pace than I ever anticipated it would, given the relatively tiny size of our team, it seems that we might be able to include some of these features sooner than I expected. Some of these features, which should be ready somewhat soon after Town Square is available, include tattoos, haircuts and even the shooting range. Tattoo shop (WIP) Tattoo design and development progress (WIP) A look inside the Asylum In keeping with our committment to transparency and open communication with the community, our new website will soon be launching (even before the Town Square). The new website will have all sorts of shop options for you to check out, but one of the more interesting aspects will be our development tracker. We're going to be showing you exactly where our development stands in regards to each milestone, such as the Town Square release. You're going to see live data showing what we're working on and how long we expect each element to take. Then, following the Town Square release we'll keep this going for each future development milestone. It'll sort of be like looking over our shoulders in the office yourself. The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet

1 pointHi! I'm Order, and I joined just yesterday! I never made an introduction, though, so here I am now! I'm really excited for this game, and I want to support it's community and development as best I can. It's nice to meet all of you, by the way! I wont waste any more of your time; thanks for reading!
-
1 pointSo after Town Square has been delayed again we didn't get the new release date. So when does it really release?
-
1 pointI've been following/ supported a year ago now. I watch streams, and read every dev blog. Whoever is responsible for withholding game play vids or game play information needs to be fired. NONE, literally none of these delays would be a problem if you guys were not with holding so much. I said the same crap a year ago. If we had videos or gameplay streams no one would care because we would KNOW there is a game. Right now we know there is a stream of assets, a few devs that occasionally grace us with their presence and respond on the forums and a few mods that LOVE to lock threads because someone said something about the game not releasing or some crap. Everyone supported this game because they wanted to be apart of something fun, creative and immersive. No one would care if we watched a stream of gameplay and it looked like a potato. But whoever is calling the shots decided to withhold everything. You guys have over 1 million dollars according to your site. Spend some of it on a god damn PR manager. And if there is someone already in charge of that fire them and get a new one. Or fire the person not letting them show us gameplay FOR A GOD DAMN YEAR
-
1 pointThank you. The fact that you responded is enough to restore some confidence. Good luck, and I know many others are complaining about it but I actually appreciate that you didn't put a date on the release.
-
1 pointI've been following the development for about 2 years now and quite recently got a refund while I could. I've gotten used to the delays and it's just not worth my time anymore.

1 pointHaving delay after delay is pretty disheartening, but you also need to understand the level of depth this game is going to offer as well as the limited amount of developers actually working on this game. The release of the town square module isn't really anything exciting, its a preview. There won't be much to do, just walk around and have a look. Won't really be a beta that you can play with all your friends, not at this stage. To do with their excuses is different, that's were i agree with most people complaining. The devs and community staff should be more up to date with progress and relay information almost as much as possible. Whether its weekly posts or just comments of related posts about said topic, that way it will keep alot more dedicated 'investors' in the loop.

1 pointI cannot claim: x, y and z. No reason given. Just straight up hate. I want to rule over everyone else? As long as a totalitarian government that cares for its people and has strong leadership is put in place, I have absolutely no problem if I wasn't the leader. Again, assumptions left, right and centre. Evidence please. Doesn't seem the CCU cares too much about that. That's probably why you hate the evidence-based TTP a lot ??♂️. Mechanics not possible yet. The first module hasn't even been released yet. I'll wait for a definite, firm confirmation that totalitarianism isn't possible in the game. Till then, we stand strong, just like the government we offer. Thank you for your time.
-
1 pointCan't say i blame you. it feels like to a lot of people the game doesn't even exist and they've just been fucking around for the last 3 years doing whatever. there's no solid game play and all we have are rendered pictures which isn't solid game play. the meth lab clip took 3 years to give us and even that was poorly put together. I've given them another chance but that doesn't mean i forgive them for all of this. frankly as you say by now they should have had a few things completed but most of it isn't even near done. part of me thinks that they're stringing people along hoping they can keep their money until the post 180 days point so that they can't get refund. if they don't have solid proof to present us by the end of may then people should be considering filing a lawsuit for fraud because frankly at this point i and many others are starting to feel like this game will never come
-
1 pointClosing threads because you don't agree with them is pathetic. Let people show their frustration, most of us at one point have been scammed by Early Access games. If you start censoring people because they have opinions you don't like, you will lose even more people. Look at WarZ and games similar to that, where Devs have been banning people for "Wrong think". If you want "constructive" threads, then add to the conversation instead of whining to close it. Make the conversation happen
-
1 pointWon't lie. I had really high hopes for this game too but I'm thinking about throwing in the towel. I'll still try to hang onto the hope I have left for this game. You know that episode of south park when Cartman gets his own roller coaster park and won't let anybody in but talks about how great it is? That pretty much sums up how I feel. I want in but they won't let me, they talk about how great it is, but I'm not allowed in. I love the people who are trying to make this game a reality. I'm sure you guys have been really hard at work. Hanging onto hope, keep up the good work, and please deliver asap (Clip from South Park, Season 5 , Episode 6. ((I do not own this.))
-
1 pointFew months now it's delayed again and again.... i really would like to know what's the real reason to do that again and again, and don't tell me "bugs blabla.... " it's a beta and then anyway there will be bugs. Never seen a game in beta without bugs, never... it's not a good reason. So why just don't let us see what is the level of the actual version.
-
1 pointI find it funny how people get so aggravated over a delay. It happens, bitching like a bunch of pussies isn't going to help anything. I've been following the game's development with a friend of mine since before this website was even up, the only thing you can do to not go stir crazy waiting for the game is to merely check in every month or so, check any updates, and if the game isn't out, go on with your fucking life for another month, and check in again. Don't bother responding to me about how the Asylum team has lost your trust because I couldn't care less and I'm sure there are plenty of others who don't want to hear your gripes either, even some who've been following the game since day one. They're working with a million dollar budget, I'd rather them take another two years to make a fantastic game rather than release an unfinished product that I've spent sixty dollars on.

1 pointOh what a fucking shocker ?? at this point I'm not even surprised we all knew this would happen yet again, GG asylum entertainment. Not long until we get the usual statement apologising for the delay and that asylum is committed to keeping us up to date blah blah blah the usual stuff. I called it on several posts that this would happen and look who's fucking right once again ?? somebody go tell polygamer Because I want to see what he has to say now that he's just been proven wrong ??
-
1 pointGoing from a date back to a progress bar is clearly regressive. Dealing with missed deadlines by dropping the deadlines isn't transparent, it's more obtuse than giving another date. I knew it would be delayed, but I had my doubts it would actually be quite this bad.
-
1 pointSo the time they have been making the game they have only been able to complete 6/64 Tasks?... So I guess we will see the release in 2027-2028 GG.
-
1 pointMost people here have been patient for 3 years, this is the devs all over. Making promises about keeping us more informed then doing nothing. Making promises about giving us a trailer and new website then nothing. It took them three years to show us a 2 minute clip of busting a meth lab, that could have been done by a script kiddie in two weeks. We're fed up of being left in the dark and then being told sorry we're delaying it again. We're not asking for a miracle we're asking that the devs get on and keep to their word. Town square trailer and website should have been done by now and the fact it's 3 days before the supposed due launch date tells me they're going to drop us in shit Monday first thing

1 point^ Joke of the year 2018. Considering the assets were placeholders, it still looks much better than the crappy cartoon graphics of Fortnite.

1 pointThank you for visiting the home of our campaign and welcome! I will be posting updates here as they come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Bobby Cruz. Just like you, I am a citizen of Identity. I think we can all agree that we are incredibly excited for this game to become a reality. Personally, I am eager to see what my fellow citizens choose to do with their lives. Will you pursue a career in law enforcement and bravely commit yourself to protecting others? Will you become a successful, innovative businessperson and provide great products and services to the people of Identity? Perhaps you are a creative mind and will opt to become an artist, interior decorator or furniture designer. No matter what path you choose in Identity, it is critical for you to be able to live your life, fulfill your roles and enjoy yourself in a community that is happy, safe, and equal. After much thought, I have decided to announce my campaign for Governor. My goal that I commit to you, the citizens, is to provide a community that is constantly harboring a place for your opinions on important matters. Governing is not a one-person job. Having as much input as possible from our citizens is key to a successful, transparent and well-functioning government and society. Our Goals If elected, the government will run on three essential platforms: Involvement, Ideas and Impact. Let me explain: INVOLVEMENT This is the foundation of my campaign and will be the foundation of our government if I am elected. In order to successfully carry out my role as governor, I am asking for input from all citizens no matter your background. Each and every one of your opinions matters to me and are vital to shaping a society for our citizens. Involvement is open to anyone and everyone who is willing to sacrifice their valuable time for the betterment of our society. Opportunities for involvement will include being able to serve on the Governor’s Cabinet, multiple committees across a variety of disciplines such as labor, environment, public policy, and ethics, as well as citizen polls and votes to directly provide the government with your opinion. IDEAS Once you become involved, whether it be through the cabinet, committees or taking part in frequent polls and votes, your ideas have the potential to become reality. Have an idea about public policy that you would love to see implemented in our community? Are you unhappy with a recent governing decision and want to voice your opinion for change? Maybe you are living in an area experiencing an unusually high amount of crime and want to establish a neighborhood watch program. All of these are possible and we want to hear about it. As your governor, I promise you that my team and I will evaluate every single one of your ideas with seriousness, professionalism and promptness. Not one idea gets overlooked in my office. I want to implement your ideas into our community to make it a better place. IMPACT Lastly, your ideas become impactful in the community. This is where your ideas about how our community is governed are put in place. When your idea successfully makes it through and is approved by voters, our citizens, we take immediate action to implement it. My commitment to you is that I will enforce these new ideas to the fullest extent of my authority. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that we have covered the platforms, I will move on to my stances on important issues facing our world today. I will do my best to keep it short and sweet, and I will welcome your questions at any time! Issues TAXES Tax percentages of income and how they will be distributed are yet to be determined. This is one of the biggest and most controversial parts of a government thus it is a work in progress. I would like to bring on a committed campaign team that I can collaborate with to pursue this venture. Please see “Involvement Opportunities” below for more information on how you can become a part of the campaign. EQUALITY Every citizen has the right to pursue any opportunity they desire, so long as it follows the law, no matter their background. I am committed to ensuring that this is enforced, maintained and improved upon throughout my term. HEALTHCARE Healthcare is a right for all people. I believe that it should be provided, free of cost, to all of our citizens. Funding will be provided primarily through taxes. GUN CONTROL A controversial matter that is of utmost importance. Guns will be very difficult to obtain in our community. Prospects will have to complete an intensive background check, training programs and psychiatric analyses before being considered for a gun permit. DRUG LAWS Illicit drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine will be illegal. Marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco will be fully legalized. JOBS AND MINIMUM WAGE My goal is for every citizen to have a job or career that they enjoy and that they can make a decent living off of. Minimum wage will be set at $15 to ensure that citizens can provide themselves with the basic necessities to live. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES Our campaign is currently looking for a number of individuals to assist us across all categories. Please direct message me for an application. Current Openings: Campaign Advisors ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bobby Cruz for Governor Campaign is a committed supporter and volunteer for the Human Rights Preservation Organization. http://tinyurl.com/j2236nw ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you all very much for taking the time to read my post. Please feel free to ask questions, either on this post or through direct message. I look forward to the future of this campaign and the future of our community!
