11 pointsThe past months here at the studio have been hectic, but our labors are paying off. It is with regret that I must make the decision to push back the public release of the Town Square module from April 23; however, the delay will be quite minor. Because this is now the second delay to an official firm release date, and because we expect this delay to be short-lived, we are as of this announcement releasing the Asylum Task Tracker. The new task tracker, visible on the Town Square section of the official website (here's a link for you), offers the Identity community and fans absolute transparency in our development progress. You can now see the tasks we have to complete before we're ready for the module to be publicly available. It will be updated each and every day. The list is not long, and displays all tasks since the tracker was created only a day ago. When all of the tasks are completed, of which none are major, Town Square will be released on Steam and available for play. Furthermore, the new Identity website is on schedule for a release just next week! The new website will come with all sorts of cool new features and we'll be building on it constantly as we move forward, too. With the release of the new website, I'm also going to begin regular Identity Insider releases. These Insider publications will add a ton of very detailed information on key systems within Identity. Delays are unfortunately a reality of all game development, whether a game is being produced by a large studio with hundreds of developers or a small team, such as ours, with only dozens. We faced unforeseeable technical issues recently; however, all of the issues we had have been fully resolved and, as you can see with the new tracker, release is extremely close. As soon as we get some final bits of art in place, we're going to compile a Town Square trailer video and begin showing off the game and environments on our development streams. So to sum it all up, keep an eye on the new tracker (see that link above) and follow our progress. The tracker will be updated once per day as it has to be done manually. Once we get our production software updated so that it can be automated, it'll be a live display. I also want to say that you to our loyal community and fan-base. Delays are never a fun thing to experience with any game, so everyone here in the studio is working overtime like crazy to get you into our world. You'll be in the Town Square very soon and this is going to make the game a much better experience. I'm really excited for our first module release as it's shaping up to be a really fun and beautiful experience. In fact, the Town Square is much more than I even though it would have been early on; I'm extremely happy with what we've put together. I hope you enjoy the peak behind the scenes with the new task tracker and we'll be seeing you in the square soon!

3 pointsCall me crazy if you want but I am still having faith on the game. You guys should realise that it is still as close to release than it ever was in the past and just understand that the reason of the multiple delays is for our own experience to be better for the money we paid. Yes I agree that we have been kept in the dark but now @Motown has reported to keep us informed with the development which hopefully he will. The team working on this huge project is small and their also building their own foundation so I completely trust them.

3 pointsAfter hearing about a 2nd delay, and regression back to a progress bar instead of release date for specific tasks, I think it is time for me to take this forum off my homepage and will just wait until full release of the game in a few years. I have given the devs enough chances, and now I am done.

3 pointsOr how about sit down, shut up and let the man speak his mind like everyone else is entitled to? If you don't like his opinion why don't you go take a break and come back Monday?
-
3 pointsIt is not 23rd yet is it.. I think you should take your negativity and go have a break..return back to the forums on monday please

3 pointsIf you guys hype this up too much and it gets delayed again it'll be on yourselves. They've said nothing about the new website launch or town square trailer and yet both things were supposed to happen before launch. They'll give the same excuse and tell us once again they'll be more transparent with what's happening and give us more media which once again won't happen just like now
-
3 pointsThe only reason they released the gameplay footage of the meth lab is because people were getting pissed off and kept demanding something. If we have to keep getting on their case about things they keep saying time and time again that they'll give us then what's the point? They keep saying we'll be more transparent, we'll give you more media and everything else yet so far we've seen nothing, no town square trailer no new website nothing and that makes me think they're going to have another convenient delay that will be over nothing. They've had more than enough time, get on and show us the game already. It amazes me how they're happy to take people's money but yet it takes forever to release a 2 minute video, module trailer, new website and said module Itself ??

2 pointsHere's a tip, don't give a date if you're going to keep delaying. Can you really blame people for being pissed at this point? I sure as hell don't. We all knew this would happen anyway because it seems to be a recurring theme. You guys make a big announcement that things are going great to get everyone's hopes up and then when it comes close to release date oh look conveniently there's a setback like always. Hate to say it paratus but I can't be surprised if people start to think we're being strung along. Twice you guys have said this is being released on such and such date and twice you've retracted it less than 5 days before expected date arrives. To all of us that seems like you guys are just throwing dates out there and then extending it. The last time you delayed this you said everything was almost done and that you only needed an extra month yet now you've delayed this once again and this time there isn't even a valid reason. Suspicious is the first thing we're all thinking sorry but it's a fair and valid statement

2 pointsYep i'm glad i didn't pledge and will refrain from doing so until the game releases.
-
2 pointsWay can they not just give a reply to the community? It shows total disregard for there community, lack of respect and it is unprofessional at best. @Beach_Ball, @Motown, @Paratus In my humble opinion its time for you guys to address your community\ costumers. I assume you will be taking the weekend off so where is the promised trailer and website? That WAS promised BEFORE 23rd? Thank you!

2 pointsHello Darkgnion! The first pre-release content players will have access to is Module One, or "Town Square". It's currently scheduled for release on the 23rd of this month! Users will have access to character creation and apartment customization, along with a lot of other social features like karaoke, the cinema, submitting works to the art gallery+library for other users to see/read, chess, etc. We will have two more Modules release later on in development. Module Two will be the SWAT Module which will show off the weapon mechanics during a SWAT vs Bank Robber scenario. Module Three will be the Racing Module, where players will be able to try out some vehicles! The Modules are small pieces of Identity that give players the ability to both test and experience things that will be present in the full game. We refer to them as "Modules" and not "betas", but many people call them betas anyways. Later on, once all Modules have been completed, we'll have a beta featuring the full game world. Finally, after all of that, we'll then have the full release. Unfortunately, we have no dates beyond Town Square's release at this time! ; . ; We'll let the community know more information ASAP!

1 pointTwo years still is an absurd guess. Any guess above two months is absurd, they only need to complete 58 more tasks, they have 6 so far today, and literally thousands since 2015. In fact if they continue at this current pace of 5 or 6 tasks per day, it will be ready in only 10 days time. So there is no need to be dramatic.

1 pointThey shouldn't be announcing a f*****g release date in the first place. If they can't get their shit done on time then don't get people's hopes up thinking it'll come out, they've had more than enough chances and time and they've had nothing to show for it except a two minute clip that's taken nearly 3 years to give us. Highly unprofessional frankly. Anyone can post rendered pictures but we want to see actual game play footage so we know this ain't bullshit, yet we can't even get a simple trailer, why you ask? Because at this stage I'm starting to think they've not actually got anything and have just been taking us for mugs, sure as hell feels like it
-
1 pointWell you guys have lost my trust and respect, and i do not belive a word you say. PROVE IT OR GTFO!
-
1 pointYour fucking shitting me!! What a Massive Fucking Cunt!!! Why put a date put There if it isnt going to happen AGAIN!!!!!!
-
1 pointGoing from a date back to a progress bar is clearly regressive. Dealing with missed deadlines by dropping the deadlines isn't transparent, it's more obtuse than giving another date. I knew it would be delayed, but I had my doubts it would actually be quite this bad.
-
1 pointThe tasks included in that tracker are those from the time the tracker was developed, just over a day ago.
-
1 pointFirst of all let's hope something will be out by the 23rd, and I'm talking about an information thread, an official announcement, a video of something, I dunno. After that's out I'm sure we will have the exact time it's out. I hope by midnight as when I get back from work I would like to know I can download it overnight and next morning play!
-
1 pointIf you pledged for the 30$ founder pack you will recieve a steam key on the 23rd of April where you will be able to download the game from steam
-

1 pointYou are completely disregarding the fact that they were absolutely crippled by the Treaty of Versailles after the First World War. They were supposed to be in ruins. They only managed to, as you say, become the largest country in Europe because of the totalitarian regime that Hitler had. Also, it only lasted for 12 years because of the racial supremacy that I discussed earlier on. If it wasn't for that, the third reich would stay standing to this very day. Btw, at this point
-
1 pointI don't speak French, unfortunately, but bienvenue and hope to see you in the game!

1 pointMost people here have been patient for 3 years, this is the devs all over. Making promises about keeping us more informed then doing nothing. Making promises about giving us a trailer and new website then nothing. It took them three years to show us a 2 minute clip of busting a meth lab, that could have been done by a script kiddie in two weeks. We're fed up of being left in the dark and then being told sorry we're delaying it again. We're not asking for a miracle we're asking that the devs get on and keep to their word. Town square trailer and website should have been done by now and the fact it's 3 days before the supposed due launch date tells me they're going to drop us in shit Monday first thing

1 pointDr. Aaron John Mills will now be practicing in the city near the town square. Dr. Mills graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia and completed the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree. He then went onto complete his internship at the Alfred Hospital; soon after completion he went on and did further training and obtained his Fellowship at the Royal College of General Practitioners in Australia, he stands highly qualified to treat medical conditions that the residents of this great city encounter. He has now left Australia, gained his passport to Ash Ville and will be practicing in a primary care medical centre. Appointments and bookings are currently open. Make appointments through a message on the Government forums.

1 pointI try not to look up much about the game but i don' t think there will be a pre download for it since its their first module Also you will be given a key to download the game on steam as said in one of their emails, which it would be given out in the email
-
1 pointCalling it now that it gets to one day left and they delay it like every other time, there's four days left and they still haven't released the town square trailer or launched the new website which in my eyes is a big red flag, I've had a lot of faith in the devs but if they delay this again I'm going to start losing trust in them

1 pointNot to be a critic but renders (these are not screenshots btw) are well and good, but can we see some actual "in-game" footage? I mean you guys have to have some stuff nailed down even if only prototyped. Atleast show us some work from the engine. Like the meth cooking trailer its getting to a point where am not sure you guys have anything. Just assets that is it, and no functional gameplay mechanics and\ or backend. Sorry just had to get that off my chest. Be nice to get a reply on this.
