3 pointsI started at $15 then read about Beta and whacked down another $15 stat!! That will do for time being considering you start the game with 1K in-game money, i didn't wanna start to high up the success ladder so as to get a better sense of achievement from the effort i put into the game.

2 pointsCommitted to the Asylum Wow, what a month. This has been the busiest, craziest month we've ever had at Asylum Entertainment and the hard work is really showing. Most of the guys here at the office have been putting in a lot of overtime hours to get the Town Square module ready as soon as possible. I myself have been working half my time as a programmer, tossing some cool new systems together. I really, really can't wait for everyone to see what we're putting together! For the past few days my personal pet project has been a total overhaul of the character control and animation system. We're working on getting new animations entirely, but it's amazing how much nicer character movement looks right now after some extra TLC. In the past Identity videos, you'll notice the camera is always locked behind your character and you rotate the character with the mouse. Now, movement is a little more like games such as Grand Theft Auto in which you can run toward the screen or parallel to it, too. If you're holding your forward run key/stick, it'll play like before. It really adds a much better sense of control. Alternatively, when you're in combat mode (weapons or melee), the view is again locked behind your shoulders. None of this applies to first-person view, of course. We've been putting a lot of time into polishing and enhancing character creation and customization in preperation for the Town Square launch. I wanted to share a screenshot to give you an idea of the extensive customization options available. You can control your gender, race, blemishes, hair and a ton of facial modifiers. You can select from a couple dozen pieces of clothing to start in, too, but most will have to be purchased at a shop. Character creation work in progress I've been waiting a very long time to see Identity in the state it is right now. We have a powerful new server making nightly builds for testing on Steam and everything is beginning to have that good polished feel you expect in a real, released game. There's still work to be done but it's an incredibly exciting time for us here. Sooner rather than later There are all sorts of features we want for the Town Square which were always planned to be added months after release. With art development moving at a faster pace than I ever anticipated it would, given the relatively tiny size of our team, it seems that we might be able to include some of these features sooner than I expected. Some of these features, which should be ready somewhat soon after Town Square is available, include tattoos, haircuts and even the shooting range. Tattoo shop (WIP) Tattoo design and development progress (WIP) A look inside the Asylum In keeping with our committment to transparency and open communication with the community, our new website will soon be launching (even before the Town Square). The new website will have all sorts of shop options for you to check out, but one of the more interesting aspects will be our development tracker. We're going to be showing you exactly where our development stands in regards to each milestone, such as the Town Square release. You're going to see live data showing what we're working on and how long we expect each element to take. Then, following the Town Square release we'll keep this going for each future development milestone. It'll sort of be like looking over our shoulders in the office yourself. The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet

2 pointsHello @Lxke , The progress in the modules will not be transferred in the beta. The first module is the social module, which includes apartment customization. There is no economy (everything is free for testing purpose), so that is why there won't be transfer of progress. However, you won't lose your pledge rewards when the beta/full release will come out.

2 pointsI want to preface this by mentioning I didn't read your entire post, but just these scenarios. Given our current design, the first scenario would not play out that way. Because the robber had his weapon out, his stress level would be maxed out as soon as he equipped the weapon. Therefore, he's immediately vulnerable. You on the other hand don't have your weapon out, and thus you have a decision. With the weapon aimed at you, your stress is going to rise very quickly. You have only seconds to respond. If you were to surrender (put your hands up), your life is no longer at risk but you can be robbed. If you decide to fight back you become immediately stressed by unholstering your weapon. Chances are that you'd be shot before you had time to fire back, if he was already aiming at you. If you took cover and then pulled it out you might have more luck. A melee weapon, as is mentioned in your second scenario, works similarly (but might not raise stress quite as quickly). That is, when he pulls out a melee weapon in front of the other guy, that guy has only seconds to make the same decision. He can run (which causes stress to go up faster) in hopes of getting away but also making himself vulnerable, surrender to save himself or fight back. The goal of the system is two fold: first, to reduce random player-killing, and second to give you the option of fight, flight or surrender.

1 pointThe Moretti Mafia Our Aims Our main goal is to enable every member of the family to make as much money as they desire. We feel strongly that we can guarantee this as long as you work hard and remain loyal to the family. Crime really does pay! In addition to this, we aim on being able to supply ALL family members with weapons, vehicles, clothing, and more, purely out of the family's funds. If you are for any reason unable to produce an income, the family will look after you for that time being. Furthermore, anything that has any connection to money will be of interest to us. More importantly though, we want all of our members to have fun through role-play! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Our Activities As of this moment, our family currently has prospects for the following fields of crime: Extortion Drug Trafficking Assassinations Selling Stolen Goods Arms Dealing Corruption Labor Unions Intelligence Armed Robbery Counterfeiting __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rules As of right now, here our are rules. There aren't many, but they must be respected! Similar to the 10 commandment, we have 10 rules that all members must follow in order to be apart of the family. They are as followed: I. Members of the family are not allowed to talk about family business to non-members. II. Never been seen with the police. III. Always being available for the Moretti Mafia is a duty, even if it means your life. IV. Appointments must absolutely be respected. You must be a man of your word! V. When asked for information, your answer must always be truthful. VI. Money cannot be appropriated if it belongs to others or other families. Every week, members must pay 'tribute' to the Godfather to sustain the family's wealth. The Godfather also receives a cut on all side deals made. VII. Always follow the Omerta oath. (Code of Silence) VIII. If a fellow family member is murdered by another member, given the circumstances, no one is allowed to murder in vengeance unless given permission from the Godfather. IX. There will be no fighting among members, in-game or arguing. X. Always follow the family's standard operating procedures! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mafia Hierarchy Our ranking system is somewhat similar to other crime families, however in order to work at the highest efficiency, we have modified it to adapt our needs. ALL ranks within the family are highly valued, and we plan on having over one hundred members! Even the Associates are respected members of the family! As a result, here is the following chart: The Godfather The Godfather is the leader and the head of the family. Whatever he says, goes. The Godfather coordinates the family, whether that be financially or physically. Anybody that questions The Godfather's final executive decisions will be seriously reevaluated as to whether their position in the family is beneficial. The Godfather contributes a great deal of his wealth to the Mafia's funds to make sure that the family operates smoothly. The Don The Don is second in command to the family, and is a highly respected asset. He is the Godfather's right hand man, and is a very trusted member. The Don reports anything that the Lieutenants have to say to the Godfather. The Don is a crucial part to the family and controls the family if the Godfather is for whatever reason absent. He is also a vital person when it comes to helping with crucial decisions. Lieutenant The Lieutenant role is a highly respected rank within the family, and his main job is the coordination of the family. In addition to being the backbone of all operations, the Lieutenant is in charge of the treasury. He will have to distribute all the money to the members accordingly. Finally, the Lieutenant is in charge of two Underbosses, which are very important when it comes to the dirty work! Underboss The Underboss is fourth in command, and is a respected member. His loyalty to the family is rewarded with his level of power and credibility. He is responsible for the Caporegimes underneath him. The Underboss reports any crucial information to which he receives from his Caporegimes or Soldiers to the Lieutenant. Caporegime The Caporegime is in charge of a large amount of soldiers and he is an absolutely vital piece to the family. Without him, there would be sure chaos and no order. The Caporegime takes commands from their respected leaders, and helps conduct the Mafia's operations. Each Caporegime will prove extremely crucial when it comes to conducting warfare and everyday tasks. Soldier The Soldier's main role in the family is to provide man power. They are the main threat on the field! The force and threat of the family solely depends on the amount of soldiers we have. Because of being towards the bottom of the hierarchy, most of the dirty work falls upon this role. Providing your worth to the family will not only reward you with riches, but with respect as well! Associate The Associate is at the bottom of the hierarchy pile, which means that in order to become a made-man within the family, you must prove your worth. To do this, the Associates will perform the dirtiest tasks, however, they will be rewarded with a lot of respect. Respect being the main way you rank up within the mafia. In order to set yourself apart from all the other Associates in the family, you must show your membership in the family will be lasting and impactful! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Requirements As a crime family that has high expectations, we do have some requirements that members must meet to become apart of the family. The following requirements are shown below: I. Must be at least the age of 15, II. Must have a working microphone, III. Need to be active within the family, IV. Must be mature, V. Must be willing to follow the rules, VI. If accepted, must abide by all oaths. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Want to join? 1 pointAlso there are no jobs/ careers in the modules, they won't be around until the Beta which is after the 3 modules.
-
1 pointIn short, they're not hitting deadlines, and there is little to suggest April 23 is a sure thing. We're less than a week away from the release, and there's no sign of new media, a trailer or the updated website. The time to sort of just "hope" that there's something really cool just around the corner fizzled out about a year ago when people were wondering if this exact same module was gonna come out. To give you an idea of timing, if you pledged during Kickstarter, you were told to expect a feature-complete beta in 2017. We're in 2018, and all we have a timeline on is a chunk of the alpha. So yeah, definitely don't be taking time off work or something for this, imo.
-
1 pointPledge of $250 gives you luxury one bedroom, $500 gives non-luxury two beds, and luxury two beds was only available in Kickstarter (before website). Yep you can have as many roommates as you have free bedrooms. And I believe luxury means more space and it will be located more conveniently in the world (beta/full release).

1 pointHey there @SteadyFusion, welcome to the Identity community! I hope you enjoy your stay here! I must say congratulations on soon to be a father! I got to say 17 is a very young age to be one. You will be consumed with little time as your baby will need you. However I do agree if you want to get the game for passing time then I would get the Founder ($30) package at the minimum as it is best for your money. The Modules are Alpha, Beta will come after the 3 Modules and then the full game release but by then I am sure you will have more free time on your hands. Just remember if you decide to wait, then you might not get to persuade yourself to buying it because your time will be spent with your child. It is solely your choice and if you want to get the game cheaper/ discounted + have access early on as this Monday on the way then I suggest get the Founder package. Well I hope you have a nice day/ evening/ night and make the best decision for you! Kind regards, LuckyDuck.
-
1 pointHello steady, nice to hear from you! In my opinion if you do not have any money issues you should buy the founders pack because i see this game being promising. Thats it from my side bro!
-
1 pointI am glad to see the post getting updated and looking cleaner!
-
1 pointEverything On that page is going to be in the Town Square Module. Except I am not too sure with drugs. It might not be in on day 1. Also a shooting range will eventually get added so you can test the guns.
-
1 pointNot to be a critic but renders (these are not screenshots btw) are well and good, but can we see some actual "in-game" footage? I mean you guys have to have some stuff nailed down even if only prototyped. Atleast show us some work from the engine. Like the meth cooking trailer its getting to a point where am not sure you guys have anything. Just assets that is it, and no functional gameplay mechanics and\ or backend. Sorry just had to get that off my chest. Be nice to get a reply on this.

1 pointVelocity Logistics Public Update Centre. I have created this topic to post Velocity Logistics public updates, for ease of access so you don't have to scramble through the main post to find them. Update #1 February 25th, 2018 Hello to anyone that is interested, I wanted to release a public statement on the status of Velocity Logistics. We are currently doing extremely well, we have a full and active board of directors who are putting a lot of effort into their roles. We also have an acceptable amount of employees at this stage, we are still hiring though you can refer to the main post for more info. We are also now very interested in partnerships and taking on more clients as well as being open to investment, Harry I and are more than happy to sit down and talk about any proposals you may bring, you can send either of us a PM. The team at Velocity Logistics is buzzing and can't wait to get into the Town Square Module, We can't wait to meet all of you and socialise on a casual and business basis. We would also like to drop a big thanks to the dev team and the forum mods for the effort they are currently putting into this game, the road has been a little rough as of late but we have a tremendous amount of faith in the whole Asylum team. - Michael Payne CEO & The Velocity Logistics Team. Update #2 April 2nd, 2018 As always the team at Velocity has been busy, we continue to strive towards bettering ourselves and the brand. You may have heard about the Video we have been working on, the aim of the video is to show what Velocity does in a simpler format. It goes over a multitude of things, the one I want to talk about is what I like to call "Future Tech". You will see a section where it shows pictures towards the end (we will go into more detail in the post) you will also see text that says "Tech to increase productivity & Tech to reduce carbon footprint." This shows future tech that we would like to include when or if mods ever do make it to the game. Basically, we are planning well ahead, and we can't wait to share the ideas in more detail. We have now added two new teams to the company, The Human Resources Team and The Business Development Team. We believe these teams are an essential part of any successful business. The Business Development Team aims to constantly find ways to better the company and its services, gathering ideas from staff and using the team's creative minds to lay foundations for things like "Future Tech". The Human Resources Team has the task of administration and basic training of staff. They will also be in charge of dealing with internal strife in a non-biased and impartial way. "No One Knows Logistics Like We Do." We aim for it to remain this way, so we are constantly learning to live up to our motto. We continue to look forward to The Town Square Module and meeting all of you! I would like to thank you for reading this, for your continued support and interest in Velocity. We will remain busy and continue working on the brand to make it great for you and the Identity platform. -Michael Payne CEO & The Velocity Logistics Team. Update #3 TBA

1 pointPrivatized parking spaces should only exist on a business owner's property. However, any city-owned property should ONLY consist of "paid public parking" that generates revenue with the state.
-
1 pointCool idea! There will be parking meters in Identity. However players can’t own parking garages or make money of people paying for parking.
-
1 pointI'm not sure if NASCAR will be a thing in this game, nor if you'll be able to form racing teams, but I hope something along those lines will be possible. Nice job and looking to see our company on race car paint jobs.
-
1 pointOfficial Sponsorship Announcement I would like to announce our sponsorship of LK Motorsports! Here at Velocity Logistics we have a passion for motorsports, and are glad to be a part of the team and would like to wish them all the best of luck in their future competition! Here is a concept of our sponsorship design for the racecar: - Michael CEO
-
1 pointPlease add a tweak to your system. Create zones that magnify stress extremely high for the instigator in nice areas that would be unrealistic places to be attacked in the real world. At the same time don't raise stress very high for the defender when he defends himself with non deadly force in the nice areas/ low crime zones. -(One punch knock out?) This system will create a more realistic crime map that matches real world. There are wealthy areas with very little to no crime and other zones with very high crime. Plus players that don't want to be messed with in that way can stick to the good areas as they would in real life while also getting a jazz when they take a trip to the bad areas where crime is more likely to happen.

1 pointSkull & Bones Business Update #1 Skull & Bones is moving forward at a steady pace, we continue to work with our current artist as well as looking to add more talent. We are also seeking brand partners. Music videos In-game will be a great source of advertsing for any company that might require it, like clothing companies. We are currently going through a staff restructure, we recently hired a COO to take over the everyday running of Skull & Bones. We are still looking for more staff, you can message me if you feel like you would enjoy a role with us. We currently have multiple artist getting ready to sign with us aswell as current artist working on more projects to bring you great music. Starting now we are writing up plans for the radio station, making artwork for it and working out the logistics of getting great quality music through the radio platform aswell as Identity. We are also playing with the idea of creating a "Remix Brand" like Selected, Kitsune or Proximity. This requires talented music producers, If you happen to be one and would like to show off your talents you can hit me up through PMs. In conclusion just like our sister company Velocity Logistics we are busy bettering ourselves and the brand, creating a great source of music for you and Identity as a whole. Thank you for your continued support! Michael Payne CEO.

0 pointsIt's easiest to sit in the corner and spit on ppl's work. Yeah, they had many delays, but if you want a game that devs were promised to give us, we have to own that quality, named "patience". It is not the only game in the world. Play other games. That's the way to kill the time before it kills you. And one day (and I hope that day is 23th April) you will finally have the opportynity to taste the "Identity". Everything is good when it ends good.
