1 pointHello Hi, my name is Lucas. Who am I ? I'm 21 years old, I'm currently enrolled into Software Development and plan to start my own business into Product and Web Design. I have good algorithm and programming skills, and I believe that a good programmer doesn't know many programming languages, but rather how a computer does stuff and how he manipulates that. A good programmer thinks like a computer, and has a book or internet to help him translate it to whatever language it is. Experience does help, but one will mix up programming languages after some changing, and that's where knowing many languages won't help, but just worsen the problem. What do I like? I hate football and sports in general, I'm a car enthusiast and I'm a PC Builder, but everyone is nowdays. I play league of legends and I hate dota 2, and people are right. The salt in the ocean doesn't compare to a day in League of Legends. I don't like hanging out. Grabbing a drink and spending 6 hours on a bar listening to music that I'm tired to listen to is not something that I enjoy, but grabbing popcorn and go watch the sunset on the nearest beach is something that I do with pride and relief. What makes me different? I like to stand out of the crowd. I drive a car converted to LPG, I wear christmas sweats from Winter trough Easter that I buy myself, my PC setup is a 50" plasma screen and a bed with wireless peripherals and I eat Italian food mixed with Chinese (Noodles Bolognese is a good example). I don't consider myself a hippie or a hipster, but I completely ignore what people like to do or think that are average and normal. I try stuff for myself instead of just assuming stuff is like everyone thinks it is. Oh, and pineapple on pizza doesn't work, people are right on that one. Are portuguese people crazy? Nope, just me. People around here are pretty much like everywhere else I guess. Work to buy an apartment that other people think is good for them, a car that other people like and recommend, a job that people call important and relevant and a family that looks good on the outside but most times everyone hates each other. Did you ever work? Are you just a spoiled kid? I've started working at 18 years old, wich is the minimum legal age to work in my country, I passed trough 7 jobs, most of them loved me but none of them I loved. I've worked into car industry, leather craftsmanship, car industry again, farming, food industry, construction and car mechanic. Two I left due to work related injuries that insurance or health services would take too long for my boss to keep me working for him given the little time I spent there, one the business opened bankrupcy (low work demand) and the others were just really bad working conditions / really bad bosses, like 12 hour shifts 7 days a week for a minimum wage. After the last one, I just saved money to go to college and I got in. And here I stand paying for my own tuition.

1 pointThe gameplay video is what kept me around, but after seeing this....thing....that they call gameplay, I am out. I honestly cannot believe people are defending this. Yes, game development is hard, but we've seen a few square metres of an area now that was already made a long time ago. Same goes for the few props that were in this environment. Now there can be lots of reasons for this, but just think: months and months and MONTHS ago, they told us they'd do a video soon(tm) showcasing some gameplay. In those MONTHS, they used stuff that was definitely already there when I pledged to mock up a video of UNDER TWO MINUTES. Say what you want, but that is sheer incompetence, whether you like it or not. I had high hopes and honestly want this to succeed, but I cannot support development of a game that could STILL be fake at this point. I STILL have not seen anything substantial that proves to me we are not just seeing some random concepts but an actual game. Requested a refund. Hope I'll get my money back soon, because I don't support this anymore.

1 pointHey, There! the name is Hitman. First of all I would like to say I can't wait to see you all in-game I'm really looking forward for the release of Identity. I will be getting on day one! Anyways, I'm from Minnesota I am 20 years old and I love gaming especially role playing games like this one, My favorite hobby's to do is game and watching Anime I know this game has nothing to do with Anime but I thought I bring it up because there are a lot of Anime fans out there, I also enjoyed playing the original sims games on regular nintendo, ps1, ps2, ect.. and thought this game might be similar that's why I decided to join this community.

1 pointI for one feel this theme is getting overused. Something a little bit more interesting would be UFO sighting. Crashed UFO's could be salvaged for parts and sold on the black market for a large sum of money. Just think about it. If a UFO crashed, what kind of technologies do you think you'd find? Processor chips, hologram technology, rare medical potions and possibly some sort of advanced weaponry. Now on the flip note, it doesn't just have to theorize around crashed UFO's out in the woods or something. There could be random alien abductions from time to time deep in the woods. When you mysteriously re-appear in the woods somewhere else; your character could come back with improved physical attributes. Let's say enhanced stamina or possibly increased durability. All of it would center around the theory that when aliens abduct you, they do weird experimentation on you that could either work as an essential to your anatomy or work against you in some way. Thoughts?

1 pointI have to say I am impressed with the gameplay. I wasn't even expecting this much. A lot of this has brought me to the thought of the lawyer system. I for one feel there is going to be a lot of well thought out crime in this game. At least one of my characters will be a female defense attorney. A lot of the decisions of the officer left me in thoughts of lawyer arguments in court. Obviously, the perp fired a the cop first. But the cop fired back and hit the perp, not once, not twice; but six shots to kill him. Aren't cops supposed to shoot to disarm or at least injure the suspect so that an arrest can be made? Unless the cop had a POV camera on him, there is no telling what really happened. The perp that was handcuffed could show up to court and say that "officer________, shot and murdered my conrad". Or he could tell his lawyer that "when officer_______ showed up, my buddy clearly gave himself up and officer______still shot at him, out of spite of doing the criminal activity". The police report would obviously have in it that officer________radioed for backup once he identified armed perps. But once shots were fired, he didn't get back on the radio until after he had shot and killed perp 1 and arrested perp 2. But pretty much what it gets down to is the grey area in the case. Did perp 1 offer himself willingly to make the arrest or is the defendant(perp 2), testifying truthfully in his defense that officer_______, shot and killed perp 1 after he had willingly given himself up. Thoughts?

1 pointAutocorrect tries to help me. But most of the times it ruins everything.

1 pointNo one thinks we have the right to have all behind the scenes videos, but we have the right to ask about how the project we have backed is going.
-
1 pointYeah, y'know some people are really naive and have no idea how long it takes to make a good game, and with very little staff and funding People should actually be glad we've actually seen new footage

1 pointIt's our choice to pledge and by doing so, we accept the risks the development of this game may encounter. Some people will ask for videos for a proof that there's progress being made. We are given monthly blogs, bi-weekly Q&A streams, some other developers also stream almost everyday too. I've seen people asking for the developers to stream the back end coding, but I highly doubt they'll do that as I'm pretty sure they don't want it to be open source, as it might cause issues (you know, people with bad intentions). There's stuff being hidden for security reasons. The community manager have said on Discord that he can't just roam around in the office with a camera to film everything, but he wanted to ask John or Sean about it. The only remaining option at this point would be to show game play video. But look, the first module is coming in less than four weeks, and their next video is about that. Then after that, I think the next one will be about SWAT, but I'm not sure as it's still early. But for the C&A video, yes people have their right to be upset and criticize. It's just I find it shameful when people do it hatefully and blindly rely on that one video to ask for a refund. I already gave my thoughts about it, which was to have mixed feelings about it, but I don't rely on that one video to judge whether the game will be good or not.

1 pointLooks like you don't understand. You have helped to make a game with no guarantees. Devs DON'T HAVE TO listen to you if they don't want to. You gave your money and they give you access to the game THAT'S ALL.

1 pointAnyone gonna do smuggling operations by sea? I'd love to have an old cargo ship with some smuggling at the side as extra income.

1 pointI have to say, I do agree. Now I'm not one to refund or pull my support, but I was beyond disappointed by the video. They promised it within the month of January. They said middle of January it was definite and they were just polishing it. Then January passes and they claim days. In fact, they even mentioned it wasn't going to be weeks. Then almost two weeks go by and finally, I get the notification that they posted. So I rush to see it and I get a sneak peek at some neat mechanics in a police vehicle; then some honestly shitty walk animation (there is no transfer animation from normal pose to walking animation, it looks rushed tbh) then I get to see some GMod level meth system and a dude firing his gun, a dude getting handcuffs put on him, and then nothing. Not to mention it was in a portion of the map not even accessible to us until the full game release (I think). So yes I agree here. Also for anyone who tries to defend this, go ahead; you have the right, but please think of a better argument than "A game isn't built overnight" or "they have pressure". No shit it isn't built overnight and no shit they have a lot of pressure. The reason for that is because they continuously underperform and disappoint people. Every day it seems we are becoming more and more into a situation such as No Man's Sky. (Devs promise a bunch of cool features, never deliver on any of them, basically false advertisement.)

1 pointWhen you have hundreds of people constantly riding your ass to produce something they can see or else they’ll request a refund, then you have no choice. You say that it’s currently your top priority so people will relax. Have everybody continue to do their job and take time making the video because that shit isn’t important right now. And then release it and have everybody complaining about it anyways. This game was announced three years ago. It takes soooo much time to make a game. Even if it’s a 2D game or a game like Minecraft. It takes time. UI, Animation, Models, Graphics, Bug Fixing and then actually creating the things they promised is hard as all hell, especially when half the community is yelling at them threatening to take their funding away from them. You knew what you were getting into when you donated. You knew that they said everything was a work in progress and doesn’t represent the final game. Leave them the hell alone, let them make the game they wanna make. Don’t pressure them to release shit for you if you’re just gonna shit on it. You’re lucky they show you anything at all. Stop complaining

1 pointI've never ever talked about how faith by itself would help Asylum and their project. When I first found out about Identity, I was interested with the values of it, immersion, changing the definition of RP. Then I pledged for it, so that means I give my support for the development of this game. Even though the module isn't out yet, I still gave my feedback on a few things about the game. I'm fully aware this is not a triple A company behind Identity, in fact this is the second large project they're working on (you can check the Asylum Entertainment website). The reason why I invested into this project is because I want to see it succeed. I'll put my heart into it. And I'm wondering, did you get a lot of bad experiences with scams, or even games that never came out? I understand, some people are cautious and really want to be sure that this game is definitely true. In fact, there's quite a lot of fake stuff in the Internet sadly... But if you look at the amount of details they put on those "things and stuff", and putting them together. Also it surprises me you haven't mentioned about any videos at all. For now, what you think is up to you and your judgement and past experiences in the gaming industry. But what I know is that one of the big moments will be about Town Square (video and module). I strongly doubt that they would just sit in their chair just to make fake assets, they are ambitious people who love gaming and role play. I've even chatted with Sean (Motown) and a few moderators in the Discord voice chat. They are really nice people to talk with. Also, Brandon (Beach_ball) came and asked me one time if I had questions for the stream, which is very nice in my opinion. Asylum is very implied and do listen to the community. I'm not saying they're doing it 24/7, because of course they are very busy sometimes. It was said multiple times in the Developer blogs that John wanted to make a video showing crime, shooting and arrest. The Town Square video will come before the module and will be much better. They're not going to tell any estimated dates to avoid over hyping people and plans to release it when they're ready for it.

1 pointPaulie Napolitano was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City to a blue-collar Italian family. From an early age Paulie was interested in the mob life, mainly due to his uncle's position as a soldier in the Gambino Crime Family. Paulie was a pretty quiet kid growing up, never really got picked on, but was no bully himself. One day sitting outside his house with his friends, Paulie witnessed his first murder. A group of black teens were walking down the street when a car full of mobsters pulled from around the corner, and started shooting at them with a handgun, it was a hit. Three of them were gunned down as a result of a feud between them and a made man of the Gambino Family. The car sped by and Paulie and his friends booked it. That was a day Paulie would never forget. Once he was in high school, Paulie became seriously involved in the mob, specifically the Gambino Family, just like his uncle. He was running hits and doing "errands" for the family. And by the time he turned 25, he was a made man. During this time, a rival mobster walked into a deli run by the Gambino's and shot every one he could. Within seconds a Gambino Capo pulled out a pistol and shot him dead. He wasn't the only victim, Paulie was shot in the chest and was facing critical injuries. Paulie was immediately taken to the hospital and was treated for his wound. He was released from the hospital and returned to his normal life. Over the next few days he found out that the Gambino's falsely accused him of being a rat as a result of the shooting and were planning to kill him. Later that day he overheard people talking about this place called Roseport. A new city on an island bustling with commerce, and it turned out tons of Italians are immigrating there. So looking for a haven and to start a new life, he packed his bags and went to Roseport. He moved into a small apartment in Little Italy and was looking for people to meet. One day he decided to try this Italian place out. Once seated he noticed this tall, pretty intimidating man sitting next to him. He decided to strike-up a conversation with him and exchanged life stories. Turns out the guy's name was Frank Luprano and was looking to start a crime family in the city. Paulie was ecstatic and immediately discussed his interest. Frank and Paulie then started to get involved in drugs, illegal weapon smuggling, extortion, etc. Once gaining a fairly large following, they decided to create the family. Frank offered Paulie the position of Underboss and he quickly accepted. That's where the Luprano Family began. In the midst of the family's success, Paulie decided to take a break from his life in crime, deciding to focus on himself. After a few months, Paulie decided to make a return and join back in with the family. Name: Paulie Napolitano Age: 35-40 Residence: Roseport
