3 pointsThe gameplay video is what kept me around, but after seeing this....thing....that they call gameplay, I am out. I honestly cannot believe people are defending this. Yes, game development is hard, but we've seen a few square metres of an area now that was already made a long time ago. Same goes for the few props that were in this environment. Now there can be lots of reasons for this, but just think: months and months and MONTHS ago, they told us they'd do a video soon(tm) showcasing some gameplay. In those MONTHS, they used stuff that was definitely already there when I pledged to mock up a video of UNDER TWO MINUTES. Say what you want, but that is sheer incompetence, whether you like it or not. I had high hopes and honestly want this to succeed, but I cannot support development of a game that could STILL be fake at this point. I STILL have not seen anything substantial that proves to me we are not just seeing some random concepts but an actual game. Requested a refund. Hope I'll get my money back soon, because I don't support this anymore.

2 pointsI wouldn't compare ourselves to investors in publishers, for what reason you might ask? Well 1. We never invested Thousands of Dollars did we? We put a small amount. Yes we deserve a bit of Transparency and we do get it from these developers. Now we are also allowed to be annoyed but, If you back something pre-release and that is "Donating/ Pledging" like we have for Identity. Well we don't have the right to a refund because we are "Donating". You cannot compared yourself to an investor unless you pledge/ donated/ invest Thousands of Dollars etc into the game. Asylum have been saying to everyone, if you don't believe/ feel like it is sufficient with evidence on the game and are not confident about the project, then you were supposed to hold back and not pledge. It is purely your decision to pledge and is not any fault of Asylum's that you are not pleased about what you are getting. They give sufficient information, and sufficient transparency. It is the people who demand things that games fail hard like "NMS" The community demanded it and also the publishers pushed it out also because of the community and so it failed on launch. Next time hold off until the full game or at least your standard in evidence on the game is available before pledging into a project because you pledging makes it difficult as when you pledge, that money gets taken into account of the budget. Then because it is counted in the budget, if you go for a refund, it screws on the calculated budget for the developers. Sit back until Module 1 releases before you pledge again as that means you can get your evidence from Fans/ YT'ers.

1 pointA while ago, I conducted a test to see who was able to crack my code between the criminals and the police. I liked the idea, so I have decided to try something similar. I have prepared a thorough court case for two law firms to tackle. One side will act as the prosecution, and one side will act as the defence for a (made up) Josh Stanson. I will act as the judge, and if at least 6 third parties are interested then we can have a jury as well. Both sides will be able to enquire to me about additional details, for example you can ask me to "check" credit card records etc. as you are unable to do this yourself in a made up scenario. Please reply to this if you are interested, and if you aren't part of a firm don't worry, I will accept independent lawyers too. First come first served.

1 pointThis was made as a joke from the first gameplay video for identity. I have no ill will for the devs behind the game since im a backer myself. Peace! Wait till the end

1 pointHow about a career in Aviation where players from all over the map can travel from one place to another. The airplane must be owned and maintained by the pilot and people pay them to be taken to places. You could also choose to work under a business man who hires you. You could also become a third eye for the Police by flying Helicopters and serving the Law.

1 pointcan i knock someone out and drag them tie them up and then wake them up tied on a chair. Then torture them until they become mad and then kill them??

1 pointI, Patrick James Phelan hereby declare my support and allegiance to Marie Clare Bouchard and her party
-
1 pointDetective Patrick James Phelan is a highly regarded member of both the forums and the police department. This is why I am recommending him as a major candidate and will be the front-runner in my choice for Commissioner! Kind regards, Marie-Clare Bouchard.

1 pointIt is not the cops job to escort. It is the security details but it is not going to be something as it will be a constant target.
-
1 pointThats why police exist, and police can do escorting too.it would be cool to see something like this.

1 pointI think that is the point that @misterff1 is trying to make about transparency is that they try too hard to make themselves look proficient that when they fail, the video, it comes to bite them in the bud and makes things worst rather then better. If they were honest about how the game development, including that they are having difficulties and not making any significant estimates or promises, they could avoid almost all of the PR and community problems they have now. I'm not saying that they need to create videos day in and day out, that's just dumb and will take away people from working on the more important thing, the game. If they were to show more things about the workplace they have or show things that are actually in Town Square instead of things not coming for many years because they wanted to have the ability to say those arguments of "placeholders" and "Everything will be different" instead of maybe showing us things that don't look to good for the development of Town Square. I think with many others including myself, if we saw a town square video that was quirky from early development and without the earlier promises of releases, would enjoy that more then a video trying to take itself seriously, but fail miserably.
-
1 pointIt's been already proposed and answered multiple times. Will they add airplanes and helicopters? No. Will they add trains and buses? Yes.
-
1 pointWill heists/robberies be happening while innocent bystanders are in the building, meaning the criminals could keep the innocent people hostage inside?
-
1 pointI have to say, I do agree. Now I'm not one to refund or pull my support, but I was beyond disappointed by the video. They promised it within the month of January. They said middle of January it was definite and they were just polishing it. Then January passes and they claim days. In fact, they even mentioned it wasn't going to be weeks. Then almost two weeks go by and finally, I get the notification that they posted. So I rush to see it and I get a sneak peek at some neat mechanics in a police vehicle; then some honestly shitty walk animation (there is no transfer animation from normal pose to walking animation, it looks rushed tbh) then I get to see some GMod level meth system and a dude firing his gun, a dude getting handcuffs put on him, and then nothing. Not to mention it was in a portion of the map not even accessible to us until the full game release (I think). So yes I agree here. Also for anyone who tries to defend this, go ahead; you have the right, but please think of a better argument than "A game isn't built overnight" or "they have pressure". No shit it isn't built overnight and no shit they have a lot of pressure. The reason for that is because they continuously underperform and disappoint people. Every day it seems we are becoming more and more into a situation such as No Man's Sky. (Devs promise a bunch of cool features, never deliver on any of them, basically false advertisement.)

1 pointThere won’t be hacking or much ways to pull a stealth heist. It’ll very much follow PAYDAY 2. If you’re fast enough no police might make it, but it’ll likely be a loud heist all the time.

1 point1. yes $30+, If you pledged at a earlier stage e.g. kickstarter then it is anything which is Founder or above which is equivalent to the $30 pledge now (Was cheaper at kickstarter). 2. It will be available on Steam from day 1. You will download it either through steam or the website. If you download it through steam, you will still need to download the game launcher which you have to sign in using your store/game account. (Store account on this website is the Game account.) 3. There is no ETA on the Full Game release and well anyone who says 2019 is giving their opinion and theirs alone. It is not Official.

1 pointin rp no one is going to take you seriously if you call your gang ' the animal kingdom ' lmao and what do you mean ' there will be a few of these per server ' acting like all the servers are combined so what you do on one server you can take that progress to another server, wont work like that, you would just end up having different things on different servers.

1 pointThe budget is finally shapeing together proper. With the assests they have produced and we have seen so far, this is an important milestone. That also insures the quality we all hope to see. Proveing that we as gamers are able to stick together and fund the games that we want. I have been dying to see an RP game like this build from the ground up, and finally, it is shaping up to become a reality. Keep up the awsome development and Ill keep sharing the game with others as it desveres :).

1 pointNo thanks. I prefer actual musical talent. People who play real instruments like drums, rhythm and lead guitars and bass. No offense I am sure you will have "fans".....just not me.
-
1 pointDislikes coming from members who found this game 2.5 years ago in kickstarter and are mad because of a horrible gameplay. also im a star citizen Donator and Theres a HUGE HUGE HUGE difference between SC community base population and The budget “500 million dollars” also SC has their own conferences and Shows. they upload daily , they have hundreds of workers from different locations. SC is another Gaming franchise. identity is not

1 pointThe video looked as if it took a day to record and about 30 minutes to plan. My attitude towards this game is slowly declining.... I'm only human.
-
1 pointYou see, I fully agree that it takes time to make games. I just don't agree with the fact that they worked their butts off for this video. It was their number 1 priority, remember? Look up videos on youtube on creating a realistic environment in unreal or unity within an hour and you'll see that this bit of environment in the vid comes awfully close to that. Also, what exact animations caused a 1 to 2 WEEK delay on the video? Because I hardly saw any. And then there is their own statement that this is all placeholder stuff.... So how the hell did they decide on showing this instead of some town square gameplay then? Since this is confirmed to be fake anyway. All of this can only bring me to one conclusion: I have still not seen ANYTHING that proves we are not just getting mockups and random props, but a real game. Game development costs time and making something of this scale and size is an immense job for such a small team, yes. But this video is literally just some hot air and was an absolute waste of time. Defending the game is not my problem. Defending this video or using this video to defend the game IS a problem imo.
-
1 pointThen what was the point of doing the video in the first place if every single thing was subject to change? lol. That's not showing a video to impress people, that sounds like showing a video just to say they did it. Now if they were showing us a video to impress us it would be a more updated version of animation, weapons, etc. That actually show cases the end result.

1 pointI know this is not police but they do deal with weapons and work in the justice system. I know there are going to be boats but will there be the coast guard or a branch of the police for the water?
-
1 pointThere most likely will not be a coast guard as there are not any islands around the main island. Possibly after release the devs will make DLC and this will be a thing. I believe there will be police boat patrols as there are boats. This will likely occur due to boating around the island will be really helpful for criminals trying to loose heat by going by boat or drug smuggling.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

0 pointsAirplanes and helicopters won't be in this game, sorry. No matter how much you'd like it, the CEOs have said it already that they don't want a quick and easy way to go from point A to point B, because they don't want you to miss the opportunity to meet people while you drive to a certain location. Also, helicopters and drones would give too much of an advantage and they don't want people to do espionage or have an aerial view.
