10 pointsAsylum Entertainment would like to present to you, the first look at Identity's gameplay trailer, giving you a vertical slice of what you can expect from the upcoming MMORPG
-
8 pointsI would love to see more videos like this (one every 2 weeks or so) showing different gameplay styles like buying something from a shop or delivering packages.
-
3 points@dimin69 Well, it does say all of that those aspects are placeholders in the video description. And you're probably disappointed because it's not an actual trailer. It's an early gameplay trailer. Perhaps a bit too early. But this is what you get when the community demands things.
-
2 pointsA Town Square trailer is to come just before Module 1 but no ETA right now. Yes, most are in which are happy with it. There is pretty much all positive comments about it.

2 points@LuckyDuck Thank you! Estimates aren't a promise. They're an estimate. And sometimes, shit happens. That's not just exclusive to game design. I think people are way too quick to jump the band wagon and join the circle jerk.
-
2 pointsThere won't exactly be training for this, but to become a SWAT member you need to complete a quick tutorial.
-
2 pointsHere’s some advice, try putting in a hell of a lot more detail into your post and not make some half ass looking thread. Second, try to create a formal looking thread instead of some gangbanger slang. You should probably do a lot of renovation if you wish to actually become a true mafia.

2 pointsMost people that I've seen complaining about the delays are people who are more upset about the fact that they keep making the same PR mistake over and over again instead of just working on it and not being pressured to answer a question they might not be able to fulfill. While it may be frustrating to see people complain and be impatient, it's not bad for developers to be put accountable for things they said. I know some may be trolls, but through them there are people who are generally concern about the devs making promises instead of just working on the projects and just releasing it when they can. I don't necessarily see people who are concern about the development as not being "true" supporters, they are just people who are excited to see the game to be completed and are upset with continuously being let on by the devs about promised and what they see as expected dates. Honestly posts like these are unnecessary because they just stir up the pot even more and cause even more people to be upset, let the people who have paid for the game be concern.

1 pointThis was made as a joke from the first gameplay video for identity. I have no ill will for the devs behind the game since im a backer myself. Peace! Wait till the end

1 pointHere's the video if you've somehow missed it: The official Discord totally blew up after this video was released. With people not understanding the concept of placeholders and demanding a refund. Here's a direct quote from a part of the video description: What this means, that most of what is terrible in this video is NOT THE FINAL VERSION, and will most likely change. Edit: Oh, and this is a "GAMEPLAY TRAILER", not a "TRAILER". The difference here is that it's not showing a final product, but what you can expect the game play to be like. With that out of the way, let's get down to some constructive criticism. Because, why else would I bother making this thread, right? Let's start with the good, then the bad, then my notes. I'm not gonna touch on any of the placeholder subjects. The good - Decently ok graphics. But does it have to be, if the gameplay is good enough? - Seems to be decently optimized, never dips bellow 60 FPS. Though, we'll have to wait till the Town Square to see if that is really the case. - The interaction system in our vehicle / surroundings seems neat. I really like how you can sit in side of your car, and look around freely. And interact with objects, such as the computer. - The drug making process seems to actually require some effort. With interactions. The bad - The camera appears "stuck" behind the character. In a fixed position. I don't know if this counts as animations, probably not. But I would prefer to be able to freely look around in third person camera, by default. Like in normal MMO's. And then, lock the camera behind you, or something, when you aim your gun in third person. - The police computer UI could probably use some more work. It feels like something that would be relevant back in 1999. Al though, to be fair. I have never actually seen such a computer IRL. So maybe that is what they look like? - The interaction wheel. I mean, it's nice and all. But I've never come across one that works well with mouse & keyboard, and which gives me proper control of what I want to select, or even lets me know what each option is. My notes I went into the video expecting nothing. i knew people have been asking for a video a lot lately. And a lot of other drama recently with toxicity when the video didn't reach the first estimation. And it feel like it may have been rushed. I would have been fine with waiting another week, or more. But I don't blame them for getting it out this early. Overall, I feel the the video is quite terrible. But when I go into a deeper analysis. Ignoring what is obviously placeholders, as previous mentioned. My list of good out weights the list of bad. Those items on the list are only what I can think of right now. Maybe you'd have your own items you'd like to add? Let's discuss what you liked, or didn't like in the video. And try and provide some valid criticism in the process? Instead of saying "It's bad hurr durr.", try saying "It's bad, and here's why...". And obviously try and avoid topics that's clearly a placeholder.

1 pointThey will be changed before module 1. I meant pretty much the majority of those who was constantly complaining are happy here on the forum and most are happy on the YT comments. Yes some say "Disappointed but yet, do they not realise it is "Pre-Alpha" and most things are place holders? If I first saw this and didn't know it was Pre-Alpha, I would be super disappointed IMO.
-
1 pointFirst of all thank you for the trailer as promised! Praying that the official trailer would look a bit better The previous trailer looks good but there are some things that do not look good for example: Walking / Running Good luck with the trailer
-
1 pointNot everyoone is positive, on youtube some people are "disappointed", same on the forum here, but majority is happy with it. I hope they improve alot tho, maybe not everything is "perfect" in town square, but i hope when the full game releases everything is going to look good and function good etc
-
1 pointyeah i know , yet to my knowledge its the last video we get before alpha , to get more sales before alpha. this aint special if you ask me this should have been the trailer to blow people away, and have that feeling to buy it. i am still very excited tho. the housing "trailer" looked so good. i trust them. but are the people complaining all the time happy with this ? ( the people demanding the trailer) knowing the openworld part of the game is not close yet, the gameplay it self doesn't bother me. its more being disappointed that they pushed this to the public
-
1 pointSo this is the video that people have been drooling about? Maybe it's just me. But I don't really see what the big fuzz was about. Much more hyped for Town Square.

1 pointThey already plan to have a court system for imprisoned people who wants to appeal their sentence. There will also be lawyers, judges, and randomly selected jury members. https://clips.twitch.tv/AttractiveColorfulHerdSoBayed & https://clips.twitch.tv/IntelligentSlipperyDumplingsBleedPurple

1 pointI didn't work my ass off creating this for weeks so shmucks could insult the name of a Mafia Family with this.
-
1 pointwait there a second, cars from a model year up in the USA started to be forced to have an inside release. you should only be able to do so in older cars mafia style. newer cars you have to tie the person up to work.

1 pointHey guys, in case you didn't see it in the Discord chat, this is what @HairyGrenade said: HairyGrenade-Aujourd'hui à 17:55 Motown told us it is in the process of being edited, will likely be tomorrow This was said at 4:55 PM EST, so it's likely to be published on Monday.
-
1 pointHopefully! they said they were doing most recording and editing this weekend so I don't see why it wouldn't be out tomorrow, I don't really care so much about the video being delayed, I will however be annoyed if the module is delayed.
-
1 pointThe devs didn't lie, they gave estimates in the past which were mistakes. They never lied about anything. Kickstarter only allows up to 2 years as the date when something can be delivered. But generally The devs know and were honest about making the mistakes they made in the past. They made bad estimates. Everyone does; even Big Triple A teams do. These devs have given estimates which are not promises. Dates given are more a promise but they didn't lie about anything. You have the right to be upset. We get why everyone is upset. I am disappointed about the push backs, but I know that these are because the devs hit a wall in development and they stray off schedule. These sort of things happen randomly and are not predicted most of the time. I mean by this is that they get game breaking bugs or some design features were needed to be changed. What were you promised? All the rewards detailed on the packages were indeed promised to you when they are ready, and also are to say thank you for your support. What promise was broken? No promises were made truly. I personally don't open up topics about being upset or throwing it out there because I don't see what it will really do because complaining all the time gets you know where really. You are indeed allowed to express yourself. Just know that anything which is "Q1 or Q3 or such is purely an estimation and Not a Promise.

1 point@BrianHamilton The toxicity is not just about dates either. There is also the factor of being attacked because I hope for something to be on release. Not demanding them how they must do it at first release. Yet I got attacked just discussing this.
-
1 pointIt would be nice if we could draw up a legal contract for agreements made by people in game. Like for example for services rendered or purchases with payment plans etc. That way we could take them to court if the don't pay up. Just an idea.
-
1 pointI read a post the other day stating that the full game itself wasn't expected until late 2019 or even 2020.

1 pointWhile I do not consider myself a member of the Luprano Family, they have my gun if needed in a fight.

1 pointAs much as I like the idea, what you are offering isn't worth it to us business people. I am sure we could find someone willing to invest for significantly less than 50% of our company. If we have to compete to win, the prize should be a no strings attached cash prize. Otherwise, I would rather find a private investor who would hand me the same amount you are offering for less than 50%.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.
