3 pointsEveryone we hire understands that salary is going to be an issue at the start, Thats why Me and the board have agreed that we will take a reduced to no salary and invest all our money in to the company and just offer a wage to our core staff, but my finance director assures me that it will alright as long as we put our mind to it. We also believe in starting small this is just a plan it will be spread overtime.

3 pointsLook, I don't like how they hyped up the last video and it ended up being stalled out for MONTHS. Nothing has been met on the deadline for these devs so far. (I know the last times weren't "confirmed" dates, but they put dates out there. That is my point. They never CONFIRMED this video, they use their words very wisely, and I'm starting to notice this.)

2 pointsA Sneak PeEk Environment out-take from coming video; player-ownable farmstead I'll get right to the bits which I know you're all excited for and wondering about: the upcoming gameplay video. We'd really hoped to get it out in January, but I sit here at 10pm on the 31st finally getting time to write up this dev blog. It won't be tonight, but it's going to be really, really soon. We did run into some delays for animation content which set us back almost two weeks on the video content. The delayed art was external and out of our control, but it's all handled and now we're polishing it up to show you first-hand. It's days, not weeks, away. Around the Studio It was an incredibly busy month for everyone on the team. My last bit was consumed with ever-so-exciting annual tax preperations and hunting for new blood. Andrew's been hard at work getting the last bits of technical content for the video flushed out and Henrik has accomplished some really big things bringing the Town Square together. Prototype UI design for inventory and shop transaction As you can see above, Artur's new UI design overhall for Identity and the Town Square module is looking fantastic. After Scaleform (our old middleware for UI) was abandoned by Autodesk, we had to rebuild our UI from scratch. In hindsight I'm glad that happened as I really like our new systems much more! Also of note is a very heavy overhaul of foliage (trees, bushes, grass) and other environment bits using photogrammetry. This is a fairly new method used in creating incredibly realistic art assets. You're going to be blown away by the results our resident photogrammetry guy, Philipp, has achieved. We've begun working with another studio to hasten art development for Town Square and other parts of Identity. Some of these guys have worked with us in the past, and the art we're getting back is some of the best in the industry. Full Steam Ahead After years of effort, I have to admit it's pretty fun and exciting seeing the Town Square module coming together. In the last weeks we've both launched our development game servers on the Google Cloud as well as a working development client on Steam. Internally, we're now at a point where we can prepare for access to the game world just as you'll be experiencing it in the Town Square. With the release of Town Square, all Founder package holders are going to be issued a key to redeem Identity on Steam. Town Square will be played through Steam and your Steam friends will be able to join you in the same game instances. Committing to the Asylum Finally, after more than two years of trying, the Canadian government has granted a work visa to our Executive Producer, Sean (also known as Motown) and he's been here at the office for the last couple of weeks. We've already seen a boost in productivity having one of our key developers on site, and I'm excited to see where it leads! There's still some room in the office, though. We're looking for talented technical artists, Unreal Engine generalists and animators especially, but we always love to meet talented individuals no matter their field of expertise! The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. 2 pointsI don't think it would hurt to share it. I dream to cross the Atlantic to visit many European countries. Seeing the nature, the cities, the different cultures, food, mountain roads, race tracks (yes I'm a car enthusiast). Another thing I would love to do is to become a semi truck driver and haul heavy goods across Canada while visiting new places I've never been before.

1 pointHere are the stream notes for Identity's twitch stream on February the 1st Remember - Certain elements are subject to change, especially specific numbers, etc... Face Customisation - There are a number of blemish and makeup options, you can morph your face. There will be a lot of freedom with this aspect of customisation. Gameplay Video - “Very very soon.” “Battle Scars” - At first you will not get bruises/cuts from fights, but it is something they want to add later on. Immersion - There will not be much “goofy” stuff, such as clown costumes or furry costumes, as it is not something you see in modern culture everyday and it would break immersion. On official servers, roleplay is not mandatory but heavily encouraged. Market - If there is a lot of an item in a city, it will become worth less in that city. You can always buy items cheap from one area and sell them for higher prices in other areas. Stock Market - There is not a stock market planned for Identity, but there will be a buildings you can go into to check prices of items. Visual Aesthetics - There will be items such as handbags that are purely for fashion, and do nothing beneficial for characters. Jewellery - There will be jewelry such as golden watches, necklaces, earrings. Damage Areas - There will be areas where it is more dangerous and you will naturally take more damage, such as areas you go to clean cash you might have robbed from a bank. Ping/Region Locks - Not planned as a feature yet, but will be tested due to it being a bit problem already in other games, such as PUBG with China (there is an issue where Chinese players join EU servers and people can’t communicate). Colour Options - When painting, making logos or clothes there will be a colour wheel with your standard varying amount of colours. Pledge Rewards - These are not one time use items, and will be available when you start on any server you go on. These won’t be available for long, so if you want them you should look to investing soon. House Inventory - Houses will have inventories to keep your stuff in so you don’t have to carry it around everywhere. This will be the main advantage of them, as criminals can keep their illegal weaponry in, or people can just keep spare items they want to use for a later date. Federal Reserve - This is planned as a large bank heist, which will take a lot of skilled criminals and cops to do. House Security - No one can rob your house, and police house raids are not planned. Safe Zones - There will be places where you will be safe, and certain buildings will have metal detectors that temporarily take your weapons when you go inside. Private Servers - These will be very customisable, and you can change laws for your server, the police ranking system, turn off the stress system, etc… Legal guns - There will be legal self defence guns, such as handguns, and illegal guns that can get you arrested if caught with. Swat Weaponry - Police will only have these for the duration of a robbery instance. Communication - There will be text chat options as well as ingame voice, but private servers could make their own rules where you have to have a microphone. Further Modules - These should not take as long as Module One, as the foundations of the game, and base code has been made. Once all the modules are done, there will be a Beta, for final changes, then full release. Hair Dye - You can change hair colours and types in barber shops, and there will be various hairstyle options. There will be a few in Town Square, and lots more added as the game progresses. 1 pointHello everybody, Within the past week, I've seen quite a lot of so-called "supporters" of the game complaining about the developers not meeting the deadline for the gameplay video and being a week late. However, this isn't the first time that I have encountered these kinds of people who constantly try to find things to hate on the developers and the game so I'll simply say what I have always said in the past; Don't rush them on the video or you'll just be put with a rushed one which wouldn't be as good as one in which they spent a lot more time on. Plus, they are constantly busy with the game itself. I know that I would definitely prefer that they focused on the actual game rather than just a very short video of the game. If you prefer the former to the latter then ask yourself "why?". Again, yes, I understand that it can be frustrating but it's for the best. So what if they have to delay it by a few days, a week or even a month? All that matters is that they dedicate as much time to it as possible, however, whilst I'm sure the video is, in some way, a priority, their biggest priority will be the game itself. Second point of business; numerous delays in the past and the possibility for a delayed BETA release. Firstly, with something as gigantic as the BETA release, being that it will be the very first time in the years that they have been working on this game, I am positive that they will have learned from their mistake in the past, years ago, of issuing a release date and having to cancel and wouldn't have released this date unless they had thought very long and hard about it as they know how massive of a deal this is. In addition to this, just think about how bad it would have been if they released it all the way back then as opposed to on March 21st. They wouldn't have had all the different features and plans that they do now so it works out for the better. With all of that being said though, if and just if they do, for whatever reason, need to delay the BETA, although, as I stated in the paragraph above, I am entirely positive that they won't, whilst of course I predict a lot of frustration from the community and of course I will be disappointed, I know they will be working their absolute hardest to make the game so much better and don't mind waiting an extra few weeks for it even though it would be very frustrating (drinking game; take a shot for every time I said "frustrating" in this thread, I know) as I know it would contain much less bugs and glitches than it would if they rushed it. Conclusion Yes, the delays can be annoying but if you want to call yourself a true SUPPORTER of Identity, then support the game's progress and the developers through all of the difficulties rather than moaning and complaining about it and the team so much. Also, keep in mind they are an absolutely tiny development team in comparison to larger video game development companies and the progress they have made throughout the few years they've been working on Identity is not only incredible but it's outstanding! Also, numerous posts about it just make the forums look spammy, unsupportive and cluttered. Feel free to share your thoughts and concerns below so long as you remain respectful. I've seen a couple of frustrated users start fights with others, taking their anger out on them so let's all show some love. Thanks.

1 pointYes, you will still be wanted, but without the bounty system it would be impossible to prove any crimes happened. You can dispute the bounty in court, and if your mafia influences run deep you will probably be able to get out "free" (Assuming no witnesses saw you murder your target in cold blood). Trust me, they're all parking tickets...

1 pointLook, bitching about another delayed date isn't going to solve anything I have come to realize. all we can do is hope for this video and await the module on march 21st, they say its a 99% chance it will be on time and a 1% chance it will be delayed, However with another false date, I'm definatley starting to think its alot of a bigger chance than 1%. Then we can bitch, but for now lets just let them do what they do and hope we don't get disappointed again.

1 pointIt just before the the sun peaked out from under the horizon and Ghost had just woken up. The fire was just smoldering now in the fire place. He stretched as he stood up and placed the pistol in his waist band behind his back. Barrett started stirring on the other couch. Ghost made grabbed a water bottle off the table and took a few sips letting the cold water shock his system and assist him in waking up. ”Barrett we should head out in 10 minutes.” Ghost said. “Barrett arose from the couch and started getting dressed. Both men ate something light as the prepared their back packs for the travel. “Greyson, we should take He truck down the mountain but stop it short of being audible to the soldiers. From there we will go on foot and pod their defenses.” Ghost nodded and tossed Barrett binos, “Take these, ive got one already in my bag.” Barrett caught the binos and stuffed them in his pack. The two stashed the remains weapons in the floor boards and headed out the cabin. Barrett took the wheel as Ghost climbed in the passenger side. Ghost pulled out a map looking it over, with already an idea of the first area he wanted to scout out. He holds the map up so Barrett can see it, on the map Ghost has circled an area and wrote “A” in it. “Let’s hit section “A” first, looks like it’s quite hilly and will provide cover and conceal to get closer to the city. I think it should be high enough we get a good idea of that area too.” Barrett nodded in a reply and the two headed slowly down the twisted mountain trial. The truck came to a stop near the foot of the mountain as the two got out and grabbed their packs from the bed of the truck. Ghost grabbed the scoped hunting rifle and Barrett took the M4 rifle. Barrett took point as the two went into the brush making sure to be mindful of their tracks. Barrett would stop every so often to check the heading on the compasses and both would crouch while they looked around, listen for any strange noises. After a few minutes the continued through the brush, saying away from human trials but would occasional use a deer trial they would fine. They finally made it to the hill Ghost had mark. They hid their packs in some brush at the foot of the hill. Barrett had taken the binos from the bag and placed them in a front cargo pocket. Ghost put a small black note book to sketch the area, as he looked over to Barrett and signal he was ready. (Your go Barrett. Tell the fine folks what we see)

1 pointI would not say we are booming, but we are stable in the fact that I think our business can lift off at release with a stable growth rate and nothing to exponential as we need be equipped to meet the demands that we will have to face at the start. We now have a full and active set of board members and a solid network of higher management to delegate work down efficiently at release, also we have a number pre-contracted arrangements with certain companies to offer our services which will be key to our starting success. In total I believe that we will hit booming status after release in due time. I would like to thank @uncannierlink for placing us in the Dollabank LLC's Bluechip Fortune 15, I have no doubt It will be a prestigous list of Identity's leading companies.
