That IS kind of stupid. As I've learned more and more about this game, I've been disappointed time and time again with how some of the mechanics will work. Oh well I guess

Having Micro-Transactions for Clothes,Vehicles and Apartments is going to kill this game. The game was kick started by community and now you guys are returning the favor by putting micro-transactions in it. Specially having the micro-transactions for Vehicles and Apartments it's really bad idea. It would have been fine to have skins for some stuff. But having them for vehicles and apartments is kinda a huge deal and breaks the whole concept. No matter if you guys think that its only cosmetic , Apartments and Vehicles shouldn't be part of Micro-Transactions. Micro-Transactions have killed alot of games, don't let this be an other one. Let the people play the game and earn stuff them selfs, having to pay for stuff like this makes me think of GTA and its current state. So Bob on day 1 can have the best clothes, cars and best apartment . While the rest have to grind their butts off for it. That's a huge unfair advantage. The game at moment it's not out and doesn't have the general public to give feedback on it, no one has even played it, and we don't know much about it. But when it comes out and goes Popular, which i bet it will cause Twitch Channels will consume this game like Candy, there will be big back-lash on the whole Micro-Transactions deal, and if it doesn't get acknowledged many people will just move on and forget about the game (Star Wars,Evolve). Just my 2 cents on the micro-transactions.I understand everyone has different opinions i can respect that, and yes it's a way to support the Devs for sure and their hard work. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done right. I bet you if it was as much as only clothes and skins they will still be bought as much. Source (Misinformation - There will be no vehicles as micro-transactions): https://clips.twitch.tv/PerfectHealthyTurnipTBCheesePull EDIT: There will be no Vehicles as micro-transactions.

The micro transactions right now are meant to be purely cosmetic and only a select few apartments, they aren't meant to give you any advantage, apartments are mainly for storage and customizing the interior, so we feel it's not really a big deal. We dislike micro transactions just like the rest of you.

If I am walking down the street with 250 bucks on me and a pistol which costs 200 dollars to buy and I get killed.....The person who killed me will be able to take my cash and my gun. That's 450 bucks that I am ass out of, working a job making 20 bucks an hour that is 22 1/2 hours of work that I have to do just to regain what I lost. 45 minutes in jail? So gun play being a "major part" of the game as is doing the menial tasks it takes to keep the game running by the average player. I hope the time one receives for their crime, such as murder, will make it difficult for said player to continue very long just being an all out prick to those who choose to play the game straight up and earn a living.

Here the dev says there will be micro-transactions for apartments, vehicles and clothes(cosmetics). https://clips.twitch.tv/PerfectHealthyTurnipTBCheesePull

Clothes are fine and they can stay, but still won't agree upon having vehicles and apartments as micro-transactions even if they are earn-able in-game. Since you mention the houses ,and apartments not being a big deal and easy to get while houses are not. I guess that's fine to some extent. But the vehicle part still can't be justified the player should look forward to getting his first car by earning it in-game and not buying it with real money.

No, cars don't explode at all in Real Life and if they do it is super rare! The devs want it to be realistic and so cars will catch on fire but will not explode.

Hey, There is no advantage to getting an apartment truly to it but getting a vehicle however gives a slight advantage and well yes it is annoying and yes you can get all of the micro-transaction items in game too. There will just be an option to pay real money for those things, but it is still available to everyone else. Apartments are not a huge deal as there is unlimited of them and well, they will be expensive I am sure to even get an apartment. The clothing won't be expensive in the game to buy and so you won't have to "grind" while cars give the slight advantage but can be purchased in the in game store as well as in game and so yeah people will get cars first but they won't be high end ones. Apartments will be basic apartments also. Houses are not purchasable in the in-game store however as they are unique and limited in the world. Only 1 person can own the same house in the same server and so they are the ones which are going to be something to get your hands on! The devs also are not doing the traditional crates thing as they don't like it.

I read that you immediately get a 'wanted' status upon murdering someone, regardless of being reported or not

There will be no explosives/explosions ingame

    3. If you ticket the person then you cannot ticket him again until he has done something wrong again. pretty much once he gets a ticket, it resets the system and so he won't be flagged for a ticket anymore.

I don't know who told you that you can't get away with murder but it's not true. You can, in fact, 'get away' with any crime in Identity, it'll just require intelligent play.

But there already is "rewards". Making posts grants you status from Immigrant to Citizen etc etc and having your posts liked grants you status such as Opportunist etc etc. Also another reward for having all your liked posts count for that day, winning that day. Those are the ones that I am aware of anyway.

Happy Holidays From Asylum! The holidays are upon us, and the team at Asylum begins their short rest! We've been busier than ever, and this coming January is shaping up to be one of our biggest months in a very long time, if not ever. Our expanded team has been working hard on game features beyond the Town Square, and you're finally going to be getting a glimpse of true Identity gameplay very soon in the new year; that's just the start. Keeping it Real Primary systems in Identity such as weapons and vehicles are being developed to operate as realistically as possible. Last week a few of the developers braved the freezing temperatures at a local range to record audio directly from a slew of real firearms in all sorts of conditions. It's very important to us that the weapons in Identity look, sound and react as close to reality as possible. We've even modeled the ballistic physics based on real-world mathematical formulas. Powerful weapons are going to be rare in Identity. Assault weapons, for example, will likely be used in major circumstances. For the most part players will have access to less powerful weaponry; melee, hand guns, hunting rifles, and so on will be the norm. Here it Comes! With the Town Square development moving along, we're not far off from showing the world real Identity gameplay! Like I said up there, January is going to be a big month. For us in the studio, we're excited to get our hands on a few new technology demos that might have a huge impact on Identity! For our fans, January is going to be the month you see the first true world gameplay video. Not only that, but soon after we're looking to release a Town Square trailer! Keep your eyes out on Identity's Twitter and Facebook. The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday (except on this coming week due to holidays). We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet
