I think what a lot of people forget is that when the game was announced there was basically nothing but ideas, development started soon after building it up from scratch (which is why the first module has been taking so long.) Not only that, but the Town Square has been redone SEVERAL times, if you look at the TS page under the "About" tab, those are very old pictures of what it used to look like.

You only get what is in the upgraded package, you do not receive lets say you go from motorist to biker, you will not get both only the one you upgraded to.

Hey Oskar, upgrading now is a great idea as later prices will go up and you won't be able to get things like cars with the packages when the new shop comes out with Town Square. About your questions, you will only get he bike and not the car when you upgrade and you will only get 1000, not an extra 1000. Hope I answered your questions

The time draws near! In the last dev blog I sent out, I mentioned that we were going to announce the release date for our first playable game module, the Town Square. Those of you who follow our Twitter and Twitch streams will have already learned this date. It's a very exciting and important time for Identity; we're fast approaching the time where you'll first step foot in Identity's grand world. We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st. What will you find in the Town Square? The Town Square is a social game module. You'll be able to create your character, which may be transferable to the retail game after release, and meet hundreds of other Identity backers in the town square of the clean and quaint city of Ash Hill. You'll be able to talk to those around you, add them to your phone contacts and have full phone and IM support to stay in touch. You'll find a completely functional cinema playing full movies around the clock, a karaoke bar to show off your skills (or see me making a fool of myself), a working restaurant, art gallery, shops and more. The biggest single feature is the housing system. You're getting a taste of the full and complete player housing mechanics that you'll find in Identity. Everyone will have access to a tiny apartment, but those who pledged for higher rewards will be able to check out and decorate their larger spaces. It's a preview of what you'll have in the full game. Invite friends to your place and party it up! After the initial release of the module, we'll continue to add features to the Town Square as they are completed in development for Identity. Barbershops and tattoo parlors will let you customize your character further. A garage will let you sample your vehicles. You'll even get to test your ability with firearms in the police shooting range before the SWAT module is released. For me, one of the most exciting parts of Town Square is just to get inside the game and finally get a feel for Identity and how it plays. This game has had many delays and I do not think that will change now, so my prediction for March 2018 is the game will not see the light on that date and if it does not be promised. I know that the fans that do not rush the developers will want to lynch me but it does not matter because that does not change the reality of the events. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this is not a scam and that at some point they join to demand their rights as buyers and fervent followers of this project to which we have dedicated time, money and passion. The Roman Catholic Party has yet to choose it's candidate but it will soon be decided. I will be updating this post with our promises and believes as a party. Major Political Issues Gun Control The Roman Catholic Party holds a firm Pro-Gun position. We will have very limited regulations on firearms. We believe in the policy of more guns less crime. Economy Limited government regulations on businesses. We believe citizens should be able to start and grow there own business and buy and sell among themselves without the burden of the government regulating them. There will be no government funded abortions and privately done abortions will be illegal. Immigration The Roman Catholic Part fully supports and encourages immigration. Just read in the newsletter today about when Townsquare is dropping. One thing I wanted to get clarified was the statement: ''We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st.'' It says that you will get the town square module beta with a $30 pledge but when i go on the shop it says that i will get the beta for a $15 plegde.

Business owners have the long term goal of having their business run by other people while they collect the profits because it is THIER business. Their employees didn't put up the funding money, didn't start from the bottom. They were hired on and paid to do their job, they shouldn't just be given all the profits to someone elses business.

@JoelKeys Systems similar to that exist in real life. Although said in a manner that can be taken as aggressive, I will try to explain it. So the way that would work, is if you need healthcare for a certain day, you would be charged a flat rate of 500$. This is similar to many universal healthcare systems and different parts of it flat rate dispensing fees etc. So the idea is that it's universal in the sense you don't pay depending on your needs. (having to choose between keeping 3 fingers or just sowing 1 back on because the 2 others are too expensive) That's the idea. She said what it was based on when replying to me. She must not have seen the part where the devs said the amount it was based on. She was comparing the price to GTA V. That gives a better idea of the estimate but no one knows until the game is released how the economy of the game will act. Small criticism on this point; Employee Morale is huge. People forget that people working for the Government are also humans. Yes, even firemen need to be treated well. Would you want the firemen to be paid the least as possible, just enough so they'll survive because they owe it to you? The rest are your opinions of the party. This is the first legitimate date the developers have announced, the only other time was a rough estimate but was miscalculated. You seem to be misinformed. Tell me why you think this is a scam? do you watch the developer streams, read the dev blogs, interact with the developers on discord, etc? I am assuming you're not calling yourself a fervent follower who has dedicated time, money and passion, because you joined on Wednesday, and have 2 post's, this being one of them. I am not sure how one could still think it's a scam after legitimately watching someone develop content for the game you wish isn't a scam. The big progress since then was getting our team into an office and the hiring process, and finally releasing a tangible release date. The percentage for the Town Square Module isn't micromanaged, it will jump to 100% once its out.

Apologies if it seemed as though I had an issue with him running in the candidacy race as that is not the case at all. In fact, I believe that everybody should have the right to run if they feel they are up for it. The issue was that I did not feel as though he was taking it seriously enough by putting no effort into his campaign thread and that is why he was removed from the poll. The purpose of this poll is not to include all candidates, it's to include all of the most active, serious and hardest working candidates. If we included everyone who ever made a thread about running, the list would be pages long!

@Xilvius was removed as he had no standing policies or standing descriptions of his party and thus, we did not know enough about him or what he stood for. As just stated, he had no policies and he had no laws. He didn't mention anything. His thread must have only taken 10 seconds to think of. This poll was created to keep track of the most current, SERIOUS candidates. If you're not willing to put in the time and effort to make a detailed campaign thread, you're clearly not taking it seriously enough. He even stated that he wasn't trying.

Well to be frank, the devs said they were "polishing up" the last bit of gameplay and buildings in Town Square back in July of last year, I know sometimes it might not be that close, but they made it sound like they were almost completely done with it and would be ready by Q1 2017. I know a lot of factors play in, but the big problem is that the devs shouldn't be giving estimates if they are not sure about being able to meet them, it would suck to see them back themselves into another corner because of a self assigned deadline or estimate, but I have hope that they will keep their word this time, as they say "Only time will tell"

Yes! Maybe these could only be played at, on certain surfaces like some boxes in an alley or whatever bringing some risk to being caught. (Tier 1) With how I've heard stores can't be physically designed/upgraded too much/at all (at least in the beginning), it would be cool if it were done in some general purpose rental space, that in someway the police or detectives found out, they could raid it. (Tier 2 - illegal gambling)

So another job/Department I just thought about. Now forgive me if its been posted somewhere in the depths of the forums but I did not see a post for it. But I was sitting here thinking what about a city sanitation department. Have a department dedicated to street sweeping, operation of garbage trucks etc. Thought this might be a good idea. Thoughts? @Motown What do you think about this? Has anyone suggested this to you?
