3 pointsI think what a lot of people forget is that when the game was announced there was basically nothing but ideas, development started soon after building it up from scratch (which is why the first module has been taking so long.) Not only that, but the Town Square has been redone SEVERAL times, if you look at the TS page under the "About" tab, those are very old pictures of what it used to look like.
-
3 pointsYou only get what is in the upgraded package, you do not receive lets say you go from motorist to biker, you will not get both only the one you upgraded to.
-
3 pointsHey Oskar, upgrading now is a great idea as later prices will go up and you won't be able to get things like cars with the packages when the new shop comes out with Town Square. About your questions, you will only get he bike and not the car when you upgrade and you will only get 1000, not an extra 1000. Hope I answered your questions

2 pointsThe time draws near! In the last dev blog I sent out, I mentioned that we were going to announce the release date for our first playable game module, the Town Square. Those of you who follow our Twitter and Twitch streams will have already learned this date. It's a very exciting and important time for Identity; we're fast approaching the time where you'll first step foot in Identity's grand world. We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st. What will you find in the Town Square? The Town Square is a social game module. You'll be able to create your character, which may be transferable to the retail game after release, and meet hundreds of other Identity backers in the town square of the clean and quaint city of Ash Hill. You'll be able to talk to those around you, add them to your phone contacts and have full phone and IM support to stay in touch. You'll find a completely functional cinema playing full movies around the clock, a karaoke bar to show off your skills (or see me making a fool of myself), a working restaurant, art gallery, shops and more. The biggest single feature is the housing system. You're getting a taste of the full and complete player housing mechanics that you'll find in Identity. Everyone will have access to a tiny apartment, but those who pledged for higher rewards will be able to check out and decorate their larger spaces. It's a preview of what you'll have in the full game. Invite friends to your place and party it up! After the initial release of the module, we'll continue to add features to the Town Square as they are completed in development for Identity. Barbershops and tattoo parlors will let you customize your character further. A garage will let you sample your vehicles. You'll even get to test your ability with firearms in the police shooting range before the SWAT module is released. For me, one of the most exciting parts of Town Square is just to get inside the game and finally get a feel for Identity and how it plays. Check out a few of the Town Square work-in-progress shots we've released in the past. It's been a long road for the development team here at Asylum, but we're almost there! Flexing our new manpower Productivity has skyrocketed with our new office. We're working better and there are now many more of us knocking out code and assets each day. Our programming team has expanded with Charles and we're still hiring more. We've brought three new and incredibly talented 3D artists on board as well as a new technical artist. Brandon, our new Community Manager, has been hard at work keeping you in the loop. These guys are all proving their worth each day and I'm extremely excited about where Asylum is going. Looking to the future With some of our Town Square art wrapping up now, we're beginning to shift a bit of our focus to the second module: SWAT. The SWAT module will be a team vs team competitive shooter using the combat mechanics you'll find in the full Identity release. Expect combat to be slower and more realistic than most similar games. You'll learn much more about this module as work progresses. Above is an MP5 sub machinegun which will be used by the SWAT forces. This particular model was created from scratch in a matter of days by one of our new artists, Dan. The awesome talent of our art team is undeniable! -- John VanderZwet

2 pointsThis game has had many delays and I do not think that will change now, so my prediction for March 2018 is the game will not see the light on that date and if it does not be promised. I know that the fans that do not rush the developers will want to lynch me but it does not matter because that does not change the reality of the events. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this is not a scam and that at some point they join to demand their rights as buyers and fervent followers of this project to which we have dedicated time, money and passion. It's okay not to rush it, but I have not seen any real or big progress since the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRNcFpad9hU which was released almost a year ago and we have not been given any real view of Town Square since it is almost one year old at 89% WE HAVE GIVEN TURNS IN CIRCLE.

2 pointsGoodmorning/ afternoon civilians! This is just an update post to the announcement that we are taking moderator applications. With the release date for Module 1 finally revealed as March 21 the traffic on not only on the website, but twitter, twitch and our discord will increase drastically leaving you with the opportunity to join us at Asylum Entertainment. I am here to announce that after 32 applications, we narrowed it down to 2 new moderators! We have messaged the new people joining our team so check those inboxes! We will actively keep looking at the applications we have received if we notice more activity that may need assistance so don't forget to keep your eye out! *insert eye emote here* (as beachball likes) If you didn't make it this round, don't be ashamed! We had SO many good applications making it very difficult to pick just 2. While the module's release date might seem like "forever" away, we will be looking for more moderators pretty soon considering the traffic we will get once the game actually is in your hands. Well, that's all I have for now, HAIRBALL OUT! *poof*

1 pointThe Roman Catholic Party Enough with the immoral politicians attempting to be Governor. Announcing the campaign for the Roman Catholic Party in identity. The Roman Catholic Party has yet to choose it's candidate but it will soon be decided. I will be updating this post with our promises and believes as a party. We will generally be following the Catholic doctrine so most of the parties believes are already public. Keep an eye on this post as we post main issues our are believes and announce our candidate. Major Political Issues Gun Control The Roman Catholic Party holds a firm Pro-Gun position. We will have very limited regulations on firearms. We believe in the policy of more guns less crime. Gay Marriage The Roman Catholic Party currently stands against gay marriage. However, any relationship below marriage will be acceptable. As the times change are policy very well might also. Religion Being a Catholic party we will obviously promote Catholicism. All other religions will be accepted and allowed to worship freely within their Churches, Temples, Etc. I am debating on whether fund Catholic churches but at the moment no religion will receive government funding. We will strongly encourage citizens to attend weekly services through radio, TV, and online ads. Terrorism The Roman Catholic Party acknowledges the threat of Islamic Terrorism. We will not be limiting Muslims right to worship but police will be giving extra funding and equipment to deal with the threat. Muslims may be subject to searches if suspected of suspicious activity but will not have there homes searched unless a warrant is present. Taxes We believe very much in lower taxes. It's much more efficient when money is spent by the workers who earn it. An exact amount is yet to be decided. Healthcare The Roman Catholic Party believes healthcare should be proved privately through the free market. Government funded healthcare will only decrease the quality of care people will receive. Economy Limited government regulations on businesses. We believe citizens should be able to start and grow there own business and buy and sell among themselves without the burden of the government regulating them. We will fully support a free market system as it will help economic growth. Abortion We will always be Pro-life. The Roman Catholic Party believes in life at fertilization. There will be no government funded abortions and privately done abortions will be illegal. Immigration The Roman Catholic Part fully supports and encourages immigration. However, all immigrants who arrive illegal will be immediately deported. There will be no exceptions and none will be allowed to stay. Police The Roman Catholic will fully support all law enforcement and provide them with the funding they need to operate. But, any police officer convicted of killing an innocent man/women who caused no immediate danger to them will be immediately fired and face the court to be prosecuted. Death Penalty Similar to abortion we hold a pro-life policy on the Death Penalty. However, anyone who commits a major attack on such as a shooting or bombing will rightfully be met by the electric chair. Please leave comments suggesting any other topics we should post stances for Papacy (Governor) The Roman Catholic Party has yet to decide on a candidate to fully represent us in the first election. They will soon be announced so stay tuned. Please message me on the Discord for an invite to our parties private discord. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKI2jtzxzDY

1 pointDuring Jade77's livestream (https://go.twitch.tv/leetperkins) he was/is making a vape and I asked if he could engrave my name in it and he came through and did it for me! You can see the render below. (The name engraved is hard to see due to him keeping the Vape in full view of the render camera,) This guy is also very entertaining on his stream and I would recommend you all to check him out and keep updated with what he is modelling next!

1 pointBusiness owners have the long term goal of having their business run by other people while they collect the profits because it is THIER business. Their employees didn't put up the funding money, didn't start from the bottom. They were hired on and paid to do their job, they shouldn't just be given all the profits to someone elses business.

1 pointThere is literally one of the artists who is starting to basically stream the entire time he is modeling because he saw how many people where into that type of thing. You can literally watch him.
-
1 pointJust remember that he is not removing them from the ballot, but instead, it's an independent polling company. If they wish to only have certain candidates they may. It just means that they are biased and it's your choice if you want to follow what the polling station does. The criteria being entirely set by them. It is not a government-run "neutral" service. Just wanted to clarify that.
-
1 pointThe best thing to do is move on. I am sure a mod will clean out the forums or anything that is inappropriate. We should all remain respectful of each other

1 point@JoelKeys Systems similar to that exist in real life. Although said in a manner that can be taken as aggressive, I will try to explain it. So the way that would work, is if you need healthcare for a certain day, you would be charged a flat rate of 500$. This is similar to many universal healthcare systems and different parts of it flat rate dispensing fees etc. So the idea is that it's universal in the sense you don't pay depending on your needs. (having to choose between keeping 3 fingers or just sowing 1 back on because the 2 others are too expensive) That's the idea. She said what it was based on when replying to me. She must not have seen the part where the devs said the amount it was based on. She was comparing the price to GTA V. That gives a better idea of the estimate but no one knows until the game is released how the economy of the game will act. Small criticism on this point; Employee Morale is huge. People forget that people working for the Government are also humans. Yes, even firemen need to be treated well. Would you want the firemen to be paid the least as possible, just enough so they'll survive because they owe it to you? The rest are your opinions of the party. Disclaimer: I am not a member of the party I just felt as if you where not understanding and tried to clarify a few things up for you.
-
1 pointCan we please stop the insults and controversy. I just want to see players ideas about police characters, not to start a fight. Keep posting your characters everyone looks amazing so far!
-
1 pointThis is the first legitimate date the developers have announced, the only other time was a rough estimate but was miscalculated. You seem to be misinformed. Tell me why you think this is a scam? do you watch the developer streams, read the dev blogs, interact with the developers on discord, etc? I am assuming you're not calling yourself a fervent follower who has dedicated time, money and passion, because you joined on Wednesday, and have 2 post's, this being one of them. I am not sure how one could still think it's a scam after legitimately watching someone develop content for the game you wish isn't a scam. The big progress since then was getting our team into an office and the hiring process, and finally releasing a tangible release date. The percentage for the Town Square Module isn't micromanaged, it will jump to 100% once its out.

1 pointYou added them 12 hours ago and the poll still has 4 days left. I don't see how that is "almost over". This polling service so far seems to be as unbiased as the Russian Media when discussing Putin. If anyone is looking for a fair and unbiased representation of the Identity Political Spectrum, this does not seem to be the place to go.
-
1 pointSince the poll is almost over I will not be adding The Unified Party, but the next poll I will.
-
1 pointThis shows how incredibly unprofessional you are as a candidate. You mention that he doesn't understand how the system works and that he criticizes blindly, but provide nothing to back these statements up. What system is it that he doesnt understand? The non-existent healthcare system? I think his criticism was very poorly conveyed, however I have no trouble in seeing what it is he is saying and so one could argue you are the one being blind. So, as a member of this community who may be harder to criticise because I am not new, let me provide some real criticisms about your "healthcare" plan. First of all, how can you chose to pay for a universal healthcare on a day to day basis? I doubt someone get's out of bed saying "I need to pay $500 to the government because I plan on breaking my leg later!". What if you pay the $500 and don't use it? Does it carry on to the next day? If I pay it one day but don't need medical help until the next day, do I need to pay it again? There are too many holes in this plan. Healthcare cannot be in place for some people but not for others. I also don't know how you can claim it is universal healthcare when it is only available to people who pay. Next, what are your estimates based on? Because I am 100% sure the developers have stated multiple times that money-making will be similar to that of real life, so anyone who can afford to pay $500 per day can afford private healthcare. If you were to educate yourself on how the system works before criticising others for the same thing, I think your little campaign would go a lot smoother. Assuming a system like the one you propose did work (highly unlikely), how would it be abused? Someone pays the fee and doesn't take the healthcare? Someone doesn't pay but takes the healthcare anyway? Why would you give it to someone who hasn't paid? This statement seems redundant. Regarded by who? Yourself? I fail to see how a banquet dinner is categorised as a "basic need". It seems to me like you will use public tax dollars to feed yourself and other members of government, while making people pay $500 per day for healthcare. Why? To prevent terrorism? I understand why politicians in real life would want to ban Burqas, and while I disagree with it, I see the argument. However I find myself asking this question, how many muslims are going to be playing Identity? Probably quite a few, but not nearly as much as atheists or Christians. I would say that in the US and UK servers, the vast majority, if not all of the terrorist attacks will be carried out by atheists or Christians, not Muslims, and even though some Muslims will play in these countries, I doubt many of them support terrorism. This law helps no one. Looking at all of the points I have raised, can you seriously claim this is a correct statement? Usually I would not be this aggressive, however you have insulted the very people who are voting for you by completely ignoring someones criticisms and belittling them for your own ego. Well, Mr PoorLaVie, I cannot wait to see you respond to a well-written and thoroughly revised list of criticisms. Good luck.

1 pointApologies if it seemed as though I had an issue with him running in the candidacy race as that is not the case at all. In fact, I believe that everybody should have the right to run if they feel they are up for it. The issue was that I did not feel as though he was taking it seriously enough by putting no effort into his campaign thread and that is why he was removed from the poll. The purpose of this poll is not to include all candidates, it's to include all of the most active, serious and hardest working candidates. If we included everyone who ever made a thread about running, the list would be pages long!
-
1 point@Xilvius was removed as he had no standing policies or standing descriptions of his party and thus, we did not know enough about him or what he stood for. As just stated, he had no policies and he had no laws. He didn't mention anything. His thread must have only taken 10 seconds to think of. This poll was created to keep track of the most current, SERIOUS candidates. If you're not willing to put in the time and effort to make a detailed campaign thread, you're clearly not taking it seriously enough. He even stated that he wasn't trying.
-
1 pointHi ValyaLady, That's so great that a lot of people have perfect ideas and your idea is one of them. I would totally support your idea. Maybe I will come to a fashion show, if one will take place then. Whe you have political or other question to me, write me. (I am the Chairman of the Radical Democratic Left Party) We want only the absolute best for you and the people. Greetings Chairman Maurice Clinton
-
1 pointThat's the way of the real world, and it's only worse when you may speak behind a screen.
-
1 pointI wasn't joking about this, so no, you weren't with me when I was joking about this. Also I don't appreciate being called a troll when I'm doing nothing of the sort. My Unified Party thread will be updated with our platform due to high demand. I expect we will be placed back on the poll, because we are, in fact, a legitimate platform. I wasn't joking when I made it, I'm not joking now.
-
1 pointPoking @BentBot! He's our web guy. He's in yelling range of me but it's easier to just do this because lazy.

1 pointWell to be frank, the devs said they were "polishing up" the last bit of gameplay and buildings in Town Square back in July of last year, I know sometimes it might not be that close, but they made it sound like they were almost completely done with it and would be ready by Q1 2017. I know a lot of factors play in, but the big problem is that the devs shouldn't be giving estimates if they are not sure about being able to meet them, it would suck to see them back themselves into another corner because of a self assigned deadline or estimate, but I have hope that they will keep their word this time, as they say "Only time will tell"

1 pointYes! Maybe these could only be played at, on certain surfaces like some boxes in an alley or whatever bringing some risk to being caught. (Tier 1) With how I've heard stores can't be physically designed/upgraded too much/at all (at least in the beginning), it would be cool if it were done in some general purpose rental space, that in someway the police or detectives found out, they could raid it. (Tier 2 - illegal gambling)

1 pointJobs are the things you can do on a "day to day basis" while only having one career (Police etc.) and a job being a delivery driver for example. Having a band is not going to be a job.... it is an extra, but people may pay you if you get yourself known and get hired. Cooking meth is not a job but is a criminal activity.
-
1 point1. On official servers no you cannot be corrupt. 2. Criminal is not a career track.... 2a. You can have a lawyer fight/ argue your case in court yes. 2b. Criminals can own a business yes. 3. Careers are more to do with the Government, Jobs are the small tasks you can do when you want. So you cannot be in a career in the aspect because that is basically corruption. You can have a job and be a criminal but if you have been employed by someone they can sack you for it if they so choose. If you are a criminal it will be harder to become a cop but you still will be able to eventually.
-
1 pointSo another job/Department I just thought about. Now forgive me if its been posted somewhere in the depths of the forums but I did not see a post for it. But I was sitting here thinking what about a city sanitation department. Have a department dedicated to street sweeping, operation of garbage trucks etc. Thought this might be a good idea. Thoughts? @Motown What do you think about this? Has anyone suggested this to you?
-
1 pointWould be cool if you're house had garbage cans you could fill, and then garbage trucks come and actually empty them.
