I think what a lot of people forget is that when the game was announced there was basically nothing but ideas, development started soon after building it up from scratch (which is why the first module has been taking so long.) Not only that, but the Town Square has been redone SEVERAL times, if you look at the TS page under the "About" tab, those are very old pictures of what it used to look like.

You only get what is in the upgraded package, you do not receive lets say you go from motorist to biker, you will not get both only the one you upgraded to.
  3. 3 points
Hey Oskar, upgrading now is a great idea as later prices will go up and you won't be able to get things like cars with the packages when the new shop comes out with Town Square. About your questions, you will only get he bike and not the car when you upgrade and you will only get 1000, not an extra 1000. Hope I answered your questions

The time draws near! In the last dev blog I sent out, I mentioned that we were going to announce the release date for our first playable game module, the Town Square. Those of you who follow our Twitter and Twitch streams will have already learned this date. It's a very exciting and important time for Identity; we're fast approaching the time where you'll first step foot in Identity's grand world. We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st. What will you find in the Town Square? The Town Square is a social game module. You'll be able to create your character, which may be transferable to the retail game after release, and meet hundreds of other Identity backers in the town square of the clean and quaint city of Ash Hill. You'll be able to talk to those around you, add them to your phone contacts and have full phone and IM support to stay in touch. You'll find a completely functional cinema playing full movies around the clock, a karaoke bar to show off your skills (or see me making a fool of myself), a working restaurant, art gallery, shops and more. The biggest single feature is the housing system. You're getting a taste of the full and complete player housing mechanics that you'll find in Identity. Everyone will have access to a tiny apartment, but those who pledged for higher rewards will be able to check out and decorate their larger spaces. It's a preview of what you'll have in the full game. Invite friends to your place and party it up! After the initial release of the module, we'll continue to add features to the Town Square as they are completed in development for Identity. Barbershops and tattoo parlors will let you customize your character further. A garage will let you sample your vehicles. You'll even get to test your ability with firearms in the police shooting range before the SWAT module is released. For me, one of the most exciting parts of Town Square is just to get inside the game and finally get a feel for Identity and how it plays. Check out a few of the Town Square work-in-progress shots we've released in the past. It's been a long road for the development team here at Asylum, but we're almost there! Flexing our new manpower Productivity has skyrocketed with our new office. We're working better and there are now many more of us knocking out code and assets each day. Our programming team has expanded with Charles and we're still hiring more. We've brought three new and incredibly talented 3D artists on board as well as a new technical artist. Brandon, our new Community Manager, has been hard at work keeping you in the loop. These guys are all proving their worth each day and I'm extremely excited about where Asylum is going. Looking to the future With some of our Town Square art wrapping up now, we're beginning to shift a bit of our focus to the second module: SWAT. The SWAT module will be a team vs team competitive shooter using the combat mechanics you'll find in the full Identity release. Expect combat to be slower and more realistic than most similar games. You'll learn much more about this module as work progresses. Above is an MP5 sub machinegun which will be used by the SWAT forces. This particular model was created from scratch in a matter of days by one of our new artists, Dan. The awesome talent of our art team is undeniable! -- John VanderZwet

This game has had many delays and I do not think that will change now, so my prediction for March 2018 is the game will not see the light on that date and if it does not be promised. I know that the fans that do not rush the developers will want to lynch me but it does not matter because that does not change the reality of the events. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this is not a scam and that at some point they join to demand their rights as buyers and fervent followers of this project to which we have dedicated time, money and passion. It's okay not to rush it, but I have not seen any real or big progress since the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRNcFpad9hU which was released almost a year ago and we have not been given any real view of Town Square since it is almost one year old at 89% WE HAVE GIVEN TURNS IN CIRCLE.

Goodmorning/ afternoon civilians! This is just an update post to the announcement that we are taking moderator applications. With the release date for Module 1 finally revealed as March 21 the traffic on not only on the website, but twitter, twitch and our discord will increase drastically leaving you with the opportunity to join us at Asylum Entertainment. I am here to announce that after 32 applications, we narrowed it down to 2 new moderators! We have messaged the new people joining our team so check those inboxes! We will actively keep looking at the applications we have received if we notice more activity that may need assistance so don't forget to keep your eye out! *insert eye emote here* (as beachball likes) If you didn't make it this round, don't be ashamed! We had SO many good applications making it very difficult to pick just 2. While the module's release date might seem like "forever" away, we will be looking for more moderators pretty soon considering the traffic we will get once the game actually is in your hands. Well, that's all I have for now, HAIRBALL OUT! *poof*

During Jade77's livestream (https://go.twitch.tv/leetperkins) he was/is making a vape and I asked if he could engrave my name in it and he came through and did it for me! You can see the render below. (The name engraved is hard to see due to him keeping the Vape in full view of the render camera,) This guy is also very entertaining on his stream and I would recommend you all to check him out and keep updated with what he is modelling next!

Excellent, that's how it should be because in real life you don't get anything for free, if you don't pledge for a reward that includes an apartment then you should either have temporary accommodation or just straight up be on the street, this isn't intended to be harsh just my opinion

Debates shouldn't be held outside of the game in third-party venues such as Discord or whatever else you're planning to use. These should be held in-game, in front of the public.

Business owners have the long term goal of having their business run by other people while they collect the profits because it is THIER business. Their employees didn't put up the funding money, didn't start from the bottom. They were hired on and paid to do their job, they shouldn't just be given all the profits to someone elses business.

Okay, so let's clarify some things and quickly get them discussed and out of the way since it does need to be talked about. I understand that there are people who enjoy roleplaying in general as their "spirit animal" and identify as "furrys" and that is perfectly okay. If that's just what you enjoy doing, that is perfectly fine. There's no issue there. However, there is an issue in taking it to the next level and continuing to act as a talking, bipedal lion. I wouldn't necessarily feel safe under the power of a Governor who takes being a furry into his work as Governor of the entire island. At home and in your personal life is fine, but bringing it to the podium is a bit too much. I do not feel that my behaviour was in any way "disrespectful". Perhaps "insane" was a tad too harsh, I'll admit, however, my point still stands as mentioned above. @LuciousTimes, I'm not sure which "behaviour" you are regarding. I am a very sociable person and so, unless the topic of discussion is political-based and/or in regards to the candidacy race, I will act as any other person would and discuss in a more sociable and less professional manner as I would, in that moment, be acting solely as a citizen and not as both a citizen and a candidate. As I believe I have mentioned before, I only began informing supporters of this poll a day or two ago and have not put as much effort into encouraging my following into placing a vote for an unofficial poll as I have done reaching out to smaller businesses and entrepreneurs as I believe that all law-abiding businesses deserve a chance at becoming successful and I highly encourage our younger entrepreneurs to use their imagination, creation and business-skills to help fuel our economy. Also, although I am very much aware by your most recent post that you were simply, as you say "having fun", I must point out that in regards to "outbursts", as already stated in this post, I am a very sociable man but most importantly, I can be very friendly and approachable. That was the furthest thing from an outburst, it was something which needed to be said. I won't repeat myself but you can find my statement on Mr. Times within the first paragraph of this post.

Within the real world, a political party is expected to possess a Constitution and a platform in order to be accepted within a nation-state. Thus, "The Union Party" did not meet the qualifications to function as a political party at that time, until the subject had decided to apply policies to the organization. Hamilton, on the other hand, remains qualified to run for an election despite his behaviours considering that the party had managed to at least fulfill the minimum requirements towards being registered within Identity Island.

Just remember that he is not removing them from the ballot, but instead, it's an independent polling company. If they wish to only have certain candidates they may. It just means that they are biased and it's your choice if you want to follow what the polling station does. The criteria being entirely set by them. It is not a government-run "neutral" service. Just wanted to clarify that.

I think you keep missing my point. I have no problems with them being in the poll or running, I took them down because their original posting consisted of 5 lines and the other parties on the poll were concerned about the poll becoming saturated. I removed them while I figured out what to do and to give them time to fix their problems. The Unified Party has now fixed a lot of problems that I wanted fixed and I said I would add them again since they have a much more thought out idea of what their party is.

This is the first legitimate date the developers have announced, the only other time was a rough estimate but was miscalculated. You seem to be misinformed. Tell me why you think this is a scam? do you watch the developer streams, read the dev blogs, interact with the developers on discord, etc? I am assuming you're not calling yourself a fervent follower who has dedicated time, money and passion, because you joined on Wednesday, and have 2 post's, this being one of them. I am not sure how one could still think it's a scam after legitimately watching someone develop content for the game you wish isn't a scam. The big progress since then was getting our team into an office and the hiring process, and finally releasing a tangible release date. The percentage for the Town Square Module isn't micromanaged, it will jump to 100% once its out.

This shows how incredibly unprofessional you are as a candidate. You mention that he doesn't understand how the system works and that he criticizes blindly, but provide nothing to back these statements up. What system is it that he doesnt understand? The non-existent healthcare system? I think his criticism was very poorly conveyed, however I have no trouble in seeing what it is he is saying and so one could argue you are the one being blind. So, as a member of this community who may be harder to criticise because I am not new, let me provide some real criticisms about your "healthcare" plan. First of all, how can you chose to pay for a universal healthcare on a day to day basis? I doubt someone get's out of bed saying "I need to pay $500 to the government because I plan on breaking my leg later!". What if you pay the $500 and don't use it? Does it carry on to the next day? If I pay it one day but don't need medical help until the next day, do I need to pay it again? There are too many holes in this plan. Healthcare cannot be in place for some people but not for others. I also don't know how you can claim it is universal healthcare when it is only available to people who pay. Next, what are your estimates based on? Because I am 100% sure the developers have stated multiple times that money-making will be similar to that of real life, so anyone who can afford to pay $500 per day can afford private healthcare. If you were to educate yourself on how the system works before criticising others for the same thing, I think your little campaign would go a lot smoother. Assuming a system like the one you propose did work (highly unlikely), how would it be abused? Someone pays the fee and doesn't take the healthcare? Someone doesn't pay but takes the healthcare anyway? Why would you give it to someone who hasn't paid? This statement seems redundant. Regarded by who? Yourself? I fail to see how a banquet dinner is categorised as a "basic need". It seems to me like you will use public tax dollars to feed yourself and other members of government, while making people pay $500 per day for healthcare. Why? To prevent terrorism? I understand why politicians in real life would want to ban Burqas, and while I disagree with it, I see the argument. However I find myself asking this question, how many muslims are going to be playing Identity? Probably quite a few, but not nearly as much as atheists or Christians. I would say that in the US and UK servers, the vast majority, if not all of the terrorist attacks will be carried out by atheists or Christians, not Muslims, and even though some Muslims will play in these countries, I doubt many of them support terrorism. This law helps no one. Looking at all of the points I have raised, can you seriously claim this is a correct statement? Usually I would not be this aggressive, however you have insulted the very people who are voting for you by completely ignoring someones criticisms and belittling them for your own ego. Well, Mr PoorLaVie, I cannot wait to see you respond to a well-written and thoroughly revised list of criticisms. Good luck.

I wasn't joking about this, so no, you weren't with me when I was joking about this. Also I don't appreciate being called a troll when I'm doing nothing of the sort. My Unified Party thread will be updated with our platform due to high demand. I expect we will be placed back on the poll, because we are, in fact, a legitimate platform. I wasn't joking when I made it, I'm not joking now.

Our reasoning for this is that we don't want people who can afford to buy apartment spaces through microtransactions to have an advantage in the game. If you were able to rent out the apartments, which you may have gotten through a pledge/MT, you could then translate that into in-game currency through rental income. We've got to consider all angles to make sure everything remains as fair and balanced as possible. You can have multiple people living in an apartment, though! And you can have more than one apartment for access to your stuff in different areas of the world.

Jobs are the things you can do on a "day to day basis" while only having one career (Police etc.) and a job being a delivery driver for example. Having a band is not going to be a job.... it is an extra, but people may pay you if you get yourself known and get hired. Cooking meth is not a job but is a criminal activity.

    1. On official servers no you cannot be corrupt. 2. Criminal is not a career track.... 2a. You can have a lawyer fight/ argue your case in court yes. 2b. Criminals can own a business yes. 3. Careers are more to do with the Government, Jobs are the small tasks you can do when you want. So you cannot be in a career in the aspect because that is basically corruption. You can have a job and be a criminal but if you have been employed by someone they can sack you for it if they so choose. If you are a criminal it will be harder to become a cop but you still will be able to eventually.
