From messages in Identity's official discord (https://discord.gg/ffZ4bX8) it has been confirmed by Beach Ball that tomorrow there will be a Dev Blog with the release date in it! The Devs have been working hard and also plan to release a gameplay footage video sometime next week hopefully On top of all of this, they are making their own anti-cheat so that it is perfect for Identity. What town square will include, in the words of BeachBall the community manager, "town square is pretty much what the name implies, get to check out stuff regarding housing (apartments), cinema, karaoke, social aspect stuff." Later on will come the SWAT Module, which will include some guns to include gunfights to the game, then next should be the racing module, with streets, racetracks and cars. I trust most of you (like me) will be really glad to hear all this See you all in the module Edit: Just to clarify IF for any reason they choose that they need a slight delay, don't be discouraged, it will come Double Edit: More confirmation it should be on the 31st

Stop rushing the developers, if you had ever attempted to get involved in an ambitious project for the first time you'd know that it is extremely difficult to set precise deadlines. Let them take their time and create a good product. I'd rather wait 2 more years to play a really great game than have them rush out a half finished empty map like GTA 5 which had a lot of potential but clearly wasn't given enough time to complete.

Alberico Gentili Law Firm Hello, my name is Alberico Gentili and I am a descendant of the original Alberico Gentili who was an Italian lawyer, jurist, and a former standing advocate to the Spanish Embassy in London, who served as the Regius professor of civil law at the University of Oxford for 21 years also known as the "Father of international law". Coming from a string of highly successful independent lawyers and a life of experience as my father was a very successful defense lawyer I have many connections and graduating number one in Yale University Law School. My beliefs are for the people and I believe in the people. As a lawyer, I specialize in defense, contractual, and personal law with common knowledge in most of all legal fields. I believe in my logo and its values it holds, with the law being so looked down upon I try to make a balanced defense for my client. Prices Per Hour - $650 ( 15 Minutes IRL) Per Day - $3,500 (3 hours IRL) **Optional** Personal Full-time lawyer - $5,000 a week. (24 Hours IRL = 1 week in game) (Even if not used) Max of 10 clients at a time. Will be discussed on a case to case if required. Dm me if interested. ** For business owners- I will not represent your company, but with that said I am still a personal lawyer meaning I WILL represent you (As a singular person) in court. ** ** For Politicians- I will not be your equivalent to a state attorney general, as per business owners I am still a personal lawyer meaning I WILL represent you (As a singular person) in court. **

So, I was originally planning on posting "Just 1 day to go!", however, after reading many of the posts on this thread, I just have to clear some things up. Firstly, the following quote is exactly right! What do you want? Do you want an awful, laggy, glitchy and broken game which was rushed because the player's were pressuring the Developers too much, or do you want a fun, smooth experience with minimal glitches and bugs in which the Developers were able to take their time and work out most of the bugs and glitches? Look, let's be completely honest here; if you're expecting an entirely smooth, fully-operational and working game as soon as this first module releases then you're only going to be disappointed. This is a WORK IN PROGRESS and the first module is strictly a SOCIAL module. It WON'T provide access to the entire island and WILL have some bugs and glitches which YOU NEED TO REPORT. The Devs won't be able to make the game excellent if you don't help to make it that way by letting them know about the faults. My conclusion is this: How about everybody just stops whining at the Developers for taking a while? They have provided release dates in the past and had to delay it because of new issues which had appeared and had, until now, promised to never provide any more release dates until they KNEW they were ready. If they are saying that they are ready now, then they are ready now, however, if they do, for whatever reason have to delay it (which I'm sure they won't but just if they do), then, whilst, of course I'll be a bit disappointed, I'll understand that these things happen and we just have to deal with it. Please don't pressure the Developers. They are only a very tiny development team in regards to larger video game development companies and have been working unbelievably hard considering that so we should be giving them praise, not pressure. The game will come out when it is ready. My best advice is to just wait until tomorrow and we'll see what happens then. After that, we should all just try to stop thinking about the release date and stop worrying about when it's going to come out because the more that we think about it, the longer it will seem like it is taking. Just forget about it and let time fly by. Happy Halloween in advance to everybody who celebrates it.

Have you ever been to or even seen a public press conference? There's always police officers there. Why don't you ask them why they are "taking officers away from protecting the people"? What about concerts? Or Pride events? There's always police there. Why? To keep the people safe. The police officers and Security Team are there to ensure the safety of EVERYONE at the event, however, the Security Team are simply more focused on the party. However, that's not to say they won't assist the public. It's just that it's more of the main police's job to do that. Police are important at these types of events. Concerts might have private security, however, there will always be A LOT of police at the events too. So why should we hire a private security company such as Atlas when we have our own private security and the police force. Regardless of what the event is, if it will attract a lot of attention, police will most likely be needed. No offence, but that is just common sense. You don't need to "educate" me on anything. You may have been a community member for almost 2 years now but I have roughly double your content count meaning I have been much more involved within the community than you have. I'm not trying to make it a competition however, my point is that I have been keeping track of changes within the community either every day or every other day since I joined. I am well aware of the developer's statements in regards to the police however you are wrong. There will also be detectives, even though they may or may not be uniformed the same as other police officers. Our Security Team, as has been discussed already with every member of my party's Security Team, will be provided with free security clothing once the island is fully released and we have had time to get set up (since it will obviously take time once the island opens to get started. The Devs have already said people will start out in lower-paying jobs such as taxi drivers or delivery drivers, etc. and work their way up). We will design our clothing and provide it to the Security Team as a form of identification. There will be enough police officers to cover the rest of the island and to attend any important government events too. Officers appointed to one of our events should report in that they are unavailable for callouts as they are at one of these government events. All it takes is some simple communication. There will be plenty of other units available. Think of real life, imagine being a police officer appointed to a concert. If that's where you've been positioned, you stay until the end of the concert and until you've been told otherwise. You don't leave to respond to another call. You let other officers do that. I've corrected you. Your final question seems much more of a question for the Developers as I'm not sure how they plan on working that. However, the licences are personal to the individual person. As for the firearms, we don't yet know as it's far too early to know about that yet. Perhaps if you asked a developer or one of the Moderators they could tell you. However, for roleplaying sakes just now, until we know otherwise, if you are a police officer, the guns belong to the police department so, if you are fired from your job, you would have to return your weapon. As for going off-shift, we don't yet know. Are you done?

Hi there! Have been watching the progress of this games for a while and have finally gotten round to offering a pledge, and with it I thought I'd come and say hi! Really looking forward to seeing how this game evolves and can't wait to try out some social things when the first module lands. Anyways, greetings once more!

It's this behavior that honestly has turned me away from really having a vested interest in the development of this game. I appreciate that you're trying to stick up for the developers, but they really REALLY do not need your help. I prefer hearing a response from them addressing issues (and I'm sure new backers, or people who are on the fence regarding whether to back the project or not) would agree with me. In my opinion, you're doing the game more harm than good. If people want to complain to the developers, okay, that's fine, they can do that... I'm very confident in the developer's abilities to respond and not cave into any 'pressure'. In the end, the developers will release the game when they feel it's ready to be released, yes, I agree with that; and that's precisely the point... No amount of criticism is going to FORCE them to release the module in a state that they would not want us to experience. They don't have a publisher breathing down their neck regarding meeting release dates (Publishers being the only people, at this point in development, capable of really pressuring them to release anything). TL;dr: I have faith in the publishers being able to release the module without feeling any 'pressure' from criticism, as they've proven they're professional with regards to handling negative comments and criticism, they don't need anyone to stick up for them/aggressively respond to anyone on their behalf. Again, this is all my opinion, and should not be considered as me trying to stop you from what you do, you're entitled to behave how you see fit... I just think that this particular behavior has harmed the production of this game more than it has benefited it, and I'm speaking from my personal hype (I'm a $100 backer, from Kickstarter).

I would agree with Capped, upscaling seems like the most legitimate way to do this. I usually like the play a scenario out in my head to see if certain ideas would work out so check this out. You were kidnapped and robbed, you have no phone, money or clothes, but the nearest Town would take you an hour to get to. Some people will probably just kill themselves to get teleported back to the nearest town, or get arrested to be brought back into a town. I would love to see that much realism in this game, but that might be to much.

I would understand if the map was huge. It is a decent size, it will take about and hour and a half to walk it which is about 4-5 miles.

That's what I figured as well. My monitor is 1440 with G-sync so I scoop those updates up as soon as they come out lol. They make a huge difference.

I agree, it should be a simple addition. Now if I were to look out my window and see a tornado wreaking havoc down the street, that might add a bit more excitement!

I don't know, but I would assume it would take the same system as police officers. The way police works are there is a certain amount of playable slots allowed per server the more time you have on as a said firefighter the higher rank or status you might have. I'm only assuming though don't quote me, I could be totally wrong. (But i don't think so) Also On official servers, you have to do a tutorial to be a police officer ( I'm quoting another post here) so that might be the case for firefighter aswell?

I will rely on this Law firm. Ive heard many great things.

I am sure you could advertise yourself as one and have some funny encounters with people. I know in some Arma Life RP servers the police would have officers/paramedics who would see you if you felt traumatised by a hostage situation or such. Also hello again

Yay! More law firms!! Welcome to the neighborhood friend.

Just some advice, which you are free to take or reject, but there are much more ways to boost your post's position on the forum other than saying "Bump". Post a company update, some new information, etc. but just repeatedly posting "Bump" just makes it appear as though you want attention and can't think of anything else to post but "Bump". If you really want to take a step up in the Identity Business world, I would suggest coming up with very creative ways to do simple things like Bumping your post. There are also lots of more things you could do in addition to this to elevate your company's status. For example, create a website, enhance your Discord, etc. And again, this is advice, not an attempt to trash your company or its thread. It is up to you how you react to this. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

At least I hope the devs aren't listening too much to the ones who urge them to release this date...
  37. 1 point
I have hope they will make it, and even if they don't it will probably be for the better - I just want to make sure they do a good job so it isn't bad when it does come out

Furthermore 2 clubs sharing names is never good, just look at Warlocks Cali, and Warlocks Florida, they hate each other with a passion, so again this point of "clubs don't care about names" is again very dumb and narrow-minded
  39. 1 point
Rare Breed MC is a real club that was established in 1989 and have Charters and Chapters all over the world. They claim they are against drugs, violence, and breaking the law. Perhaps look up clubs before you try to make one and not become a copy cat, opening an unsanctioned and stolen idea.

@Xzothi People don't get how hard it is to make game mechanics come together, they often just think that it's the dev's duty to make it work, and you can't really blame them for that

It seems like your one problem might not be much of a problem after all. In Identity, it's mostly just low influence (mostly cosmetic) items which cannot be lost. Things like your debit card, your clothing, and so on. Items which don't give you a strength but instead offer convenience. Most other things can indeed be lost. If you die out in the woods because you thought you could fist fight a bear then you might not have lost much, as there's a good chance you could get back to that place before everything despawns. When someone else is around though, they can loot your corpse and take what's dropped. This is mostly an issue of convenience, and we go for a balance of such versus risk. We fully understand that for life to be exciting, death has to be scary. At the same time, why make people go back to their closet and change their outfit over and over again?
  49. 1 point
That was the question. Why don't you do it? GVMP already has a good community base and you could profit from it. Also the Project then could have a unique name instead of just "identityrpg". Me personaly think it is very brazen to register the same domain as identityrpg just with nearly all available big top level domains like .net and so on.

Basically, that is how the economy works...one person's expense is another's income.
