5 pointsThey SHOULD be listening. This isn't them releasing a video (the last one was delayed by atleast 4 months) , this isn't them releasing the module (which has been delayed by almost a year now), this is them releasing a RELEASE date. It would be very pathetic if they couldn't give us a date in the same month they told us they would. A new low for the devs.
-
3 pointsI see two problems here, the first problem is that the devs (Perhaps due to to inexperience) feel the need to announce deadlines and release dates in advance when clearly this is their first attempt at creating a major game. Those who have experience being in similar circumstances know just how difficult it is to set deadlines when you're attempting something major for the first time and doing it all on your own. In my opinion the devs should stop announcing precise dates and only discuss their current progress rate. The second problem is that the fans, perhaps also due to inexperience, want to hold the devs accountable to their previous announcements without understanding what I said in the previous paragraph. Some take this to an even more extreme level and consider the devs missing deadlines as proof that the project is a hoax. Once again both sides (Devs and fans) don't have enough experience to know not to expect things to be 100% done by a certain date announced in advance. There are just too many unforeseen factors that can come up to delay even the most elementary aspect of the project.

2 pointsIf you have no faith in the game or developers, that's fine. But do not annoy people who have patience and understand game development with it.
-
2 pointsIt really wouldn't be. What they need to do is stop giving dates/months out when stuff will get released because they're clearly struggling to stick to them. Giving people rough dates and then not delivering is hurting them more than if they were to deliver it and there be a bug or some issue. We all know the modules aren't the finished project and are the earliest of early testing modules so anyone who would even bother to complain about something isn't worth it anyway.
-
2 pointsIMO I doubt it will be November the 1st, as you're right, it probably wouldn't make sense to do that rather than Oct 31st. It probably will be on October the 31st, and the only reason I can see for why Rinyuaru-Kun said it could be November 1st would be timezones? I.e November the 1st for Europe but 31st for the US. But yeah, you're right it wouldn't make much sense, but if they did I'm sure there would be a good explanation.
-
2 pointsHonestly, at least the developers are polite when addressing concerns, it's the community that have a problem with people who express concern or highlight the developer's accountability. That being said, most of those people are fairly recent backers (a year or so back, give or take) and don't really comprehend that many of us have been waiting for at least double that time. It's why I've stopped voicing an opinion on anything at all. If anything killed my hype, it's not the devs, its the self-proclaimed vanguards of their development process that aggressively respond to any criticism of their lack of meaningful updates with posts like 'Stop criticizing the devs' 'try making the game yourself' 'why don't you get a refund and leave' 'Do you know how long it takes to make a game like this' 'I'm sick of posts asking about x and y'. It's a handful of people, and they know who they are... It's not a constructive way of responding to curious or concerned backers, and I think those members of the community need to behave with a little more tact. Edit: And the developers SHOULD try and listen to their community and the people who have contributed to their project, in response to @Rinyuaru-Kun... The release date's announcement was promised by them for this month, and in my opinion, yes, they should keep their word.
-
2 pointsWell I mean, asking someone to keep their promises is not quite the same as rushing someone. They put the deadline on themselves. If more people tried to keep people from Hello Gaming honest, we may not have had such a lacklustre no man's sky(obviously counter-factual, we'll never know that for sure.) But I think people should try to keep the devs honest, and not turn a blind eye to them. It's a good thing overall and the devs need to get used to it.
-
2 pointsI can promise you, missing a date for an announcement is not a new low. For example : I've recently started following another games development and after doing some research the other day, I found out they stated development in 2015 and actually had a Early Access release date for 2015. 2 years later, they are still trucking along and have yet to give any keys out. Game development isn't as easy as some may think as you may already know, but the point I'm trying to get at is - These guys could launch the module tomorrow filled with bugs and a lot less content than they anticipated, BUT they are being patient, taking their time and making this game good. I've said this before, but I do have faith in a release date coming in this month.
-
2 pointsSo the Devs shouldn't shouldn't listen to anyone that quotes them because in your opinion anyone that attempts accountability is wrong and should be shamed. Your go to weapon, you do it every time. Also its got nothing to do with rushing the devs, people post topics like this because of the repeated patterns of unrealistic goals and announcements. Anyone that has been following this since 14 would be hard pressed to say that there isn't an issue.

1 pointI agree with some of the posts. The biggest issue is that they keep giving dates, I think that if they harvested the power of surprise and just decided to drop it, yes people at first would be frustrated with the lack of information, but it would give a better effect then missing deadlines. I really suggest that anyone who makes a game does this. Every time I see a date, I don't get excited, I become discouraged. I wish they would just say...oh btw, Townsquare is up for download, forgot to mention. That would have been hilarious and awesome. But oh well, now to hope they give out the date. Also, the community seems to be on the younger side, they might even be people who haven't backed games and who haven't seen how development can be. There is nothing wrong with this, but you do come to expect a lot more. I have learned that each company has their own set of issues but generally, the one thing I find common is the time is usually underestimated. That being said, I've seen that all the time in the gaming industry.

1 pointRemember, don't rush to release the first module. We don't want Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 to happen again, do we?
-
1 pointYou should probably tune in to see the devblogs and their dev streams, and see the progress they've made instead of coming back every few months to laugh, if you are taking your time out of your day to do that, you must still care. You can always request a refund via emailing Paratus, no need to be toxic about it. If you know anything about game development, which i know you don't, is that you cannot always rely on a release date, game development can be unpredictable.

1 point"I personally don't like Universal Healthcare" >offers universal healthcare as an integral part of his campaign You're a joke.
-
1 pointI think I read you won't be able to sell people's car, because of the grind/cost of them. Perhaps we will be able to fence the contents to a black market dealer, and if there are upgrades on the car (from the racing module) if you have the required mechanic skill maybe you could part those out to a chop shop. Then police would impound, and since insurance would pay, the owner collects the car back in the condition they got it stolen, minus the inventory contents.
-
1 pointThat would be a really cool idea About putting police lights on a civ car, generally, RP games don't add that as it allows for a lot of abuse. Also, people may not see a point in buying a car and earning money if they can just buy a gun, steal a nice car and keep it. Also, people can get their friends to steal their car to duplicate it, and that would break the system. I'm sure community servers and the game will find ways around that though

1 pointNo doubt there are people who address statements that are not in Asylum Entertainments' interests. Everyone here though truly wants a game like this that they have been dreaming for which is most likely why people get aggressive when a new post addressing issues is made. I believe a release date for Town Square will be released in early November potentially October 31st and released in players' hands by the end of the year. The issue with making release dates is that people get hyped for them (pretty good thing) but if they run into issues then that could delay things considerably. I assume you already understand this but my rant I guess mainly goes to everyone reading your statement so that they may find answers. Personally, I learned about Identity close to it's showcase on Kickstarter and accepted the fact that there will be delay and the effects of hype (both rising and falling). I don't believe everyone copes the same way but if y'all want to play some games with people excited for this journey, let me know and we can add you to the game night
-
1 pointIn order to play the town square or any module, you need to have beta access which would be the founder pack which is the $30 one.
-
1 pointJust some advice, which you are free to take or reject, but there are much more ways to boost your post's position on the forum other than saying "Bump". Post a company update, some new information, etc. but just repeatedly posting "Bump" just makes it appear as though you want attention and can't think of anything else to post but "Bump". If you really want to take a step up in the Identity Business world, I would suggest coming up with very creative ways to do simple things like Bumping your post. There are also lots of more things you could do in addition to this to elevate your company's status. For example, create a website, enhance your Discord, etc. And again, this is advice, not an attempt to trash your company or its thread. It is up to you how you react to this. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
-
1 pointFounder is what gives you access to modules. (TBA SoonTM) Citizen will only grant access upon full release. (est 2018)
-
1 pointIt's already been said on stream and in Discord that it will be announced October 31st or September 1st which is why I voted
-
1 pointNot just the developers, but the handful of people in the community that feel the need to put people down constantly because of posts expressing concern or accountability on a dead line the devs set and fail to meet time after time.

1 point. There will be three huge cities, but as you can see there is a lot of green. I would also like to see bigger and more cities. (Is was there concept art of how it would look. This could have changed.)
-
1 pointYou can be looted when unconscious / dead before the body is gone in Identity, but you cannot steal clothing or the players phone. Only, money and guns etc.
-
1 pointAt least I hope the devs aren't listening too much to the ones who urge them to release this date...
-
1 pointStop rushing the developers, if you had ever attempted to get involved in an ambitious project for the first time you'd know that it is extremely difficult to set precise deadlines. Let them take their time and create a good product. I'd rather wait 2 more years to play a really great game than have them rush out a half finished empty map like GTA 5 which had a lot of potential but clearly wasn't given enough time to complete.
-
1 pointI have hope they will make it, and even if they don't it will probably be for the better - I just want to make sure they do a good job so it isn't bad when it does come out
-
1 pointI'm going to put it into the ideas and suggestions hopefully the devs will add it into the game if its not already into the game.

1 pointthe loading screen in apartments are the elevators but i believe for houses u can just walk into them no loading screen no nothing
-
1 pointFrom what i watched on a Q&A, you won't be selling guns but you can buy them at a gun store from a npc vendor.
-

-
1 pointNot exactly I do not believe. The houses / apartments are "half instanced" and so you won't see a loading screen but also with the apartments, you go up the elevator you seamlessly load in. With houses, you do sort of the same thing, you open the door and walk in without a loading screen (seamless) and you will be in another instance meaning you cannot see outside cars going by or such.

1 point"Congratulation Officer Simms. You made it, now its time to play." The lights shut off and then back on White Mask is standing in the middle of the hockey rink with his arms crossed looking at Simms behind the glass. Simms pulled his gun and shoots the glass, and then hops over the wall on to the ice. meanwhile Sanchez makes his way to the production room. The door was locked so Sanchez kicked the door in. Sanchez stops as he see a man in the room, Sanchez pulls his gun. "Freeze hands in the air." The man slowly turns around with a crazy look on his face. "Oh shit Tom Two Times, I put you in Jail for life..how did you get out?" Tommy Two Times runs at Sanchez screaming with his hands up and tackles Sanchez to the ground. Tommy Two Times gets the upper hand and sits on top of him. Spit coming from Tommys mouth as he screams into Sanchez face. "One, Two" Tommy Two Times lays hay makers into Sanchez's face. "Right, Left, One, Two, Left, right" Tommy Two Times is just laying into Sanchez beating his face in with his fist. blood starting to splatter every time he punches him now. *BAM BAM* Simms stops looking up and over to where the production room is. "Oh no it looks like your buddy got that double tap friend." White Mask says. Simms looks back over at White Mask. "Its over White Mask the SWAT team will be here less than five minutes your done, just put your hands behind your back." Simms said as White Mask holds up a finger. "Now hold on there Simmy boy. I have something you might want to see. OH BOBBY!" Bob the Butcher opens the wall from the other side of the ice and steps on the ice. He is seen with a chain in his hand and pulls two other people onto the ice. "Ta da!" White Mask holds his arms out and does a double take over at Bob. "Bob get the hell out of the way so we can see who you have." Bob moves out of the way, as its Simms daughter and wife are chained together by the hands. Simm's wife is on her knees as his daughter is standing up both crying and are at eye level with each other. "Come with me for a walk Mr. Simmy" White Mask makes his way over to the wife and daughter, As Simms would follow. of course his face seeing his family was shocked, angry, maybe a tear not knowing what to do."Now don't touch not until I say. lets put the finishing touch here." White Mask reaches into his jacket pocket pulling a grenade out. He moves closer to the Simms family, he pets the little girl on the top of head "No tear my little sweetheart I have a gift for you." White Mask places the grenade into her hand. He then grabs the wife's hand and cups it under the little girls hand. The little girl holds the grenade up as her mom holds her hands tightly" Now you two do not drop this nade or we all go Boom" He laughs and pulls the pin from the grenade."Now if you can" White Mask throws the pin from the grenade across the ice. "Find the pin you two can go free, its that simple I swear!" White mask places his hands behind his back and walks pass the two holding the grenade over to Bob the Butcher. Simms quickly ran over to them cupping his hands over theirs. Bob the butcher hands White mask a black baseball bat. White Mask bows slightly to Bob grabbing the baseball bat and spins it around whistling as he is making his way back to the three. White Mask grabs Simms by his collar pulling him off the grenade and his family, and since they are on ice Simms would slide even farther away from his family. White Mask would turn the family and points his bat at them. "If I were you two I would go find that pin before the little princess there drops the grenade, cause welllllllllll she looks a little shaky." With tears coming from their eyes they start looking for the pin. it was now a game called needle in a haystack. "You Psycho!" Simms gets to his feet, he takes three to four steps after his family but White Mask spins around and wacks Simms across his knee caps. laughter is heard. "Way to go Nacy Kerrigan! your not getting the gold medal that easy" He laughs again and then spins his bat around placing it on his shoulder. "I never miss Simms...I am like Babe Ruth I always swing for the fences and hit them out of the park!" He laughs again as Simms lays on the ice in pain looking over at his family looking for the Pin. "Susan!" Simms reaches out for her as they search the ice for the pin on the other side of the ice. . .. ... .... ........*BOOM* "Oh dear it looks like the little one could not hold the grenade I knew I should of gave it to your wife Simms." White Mask reaches into his pocket and drops the pin in front of Simms. White Mask turns and laughs tossing baseball bat over to Bob the Butcher. but slips on the ice, but luckily he holds his arms out and catches himself from falling on the ice but does have a nice split going. White Mask fixes himself "Time to go Bobo" (Simms your up I sent you and email back btw)
