Reddit is one of the most popular sites out there, and no doubt a lot of people who think about pledging to Identity could be a bit scared as it is an "early access" game at the moment, and many have had bad experiences with them. It seems however if people check the identity page on Reddit, just scrolling down there is mainly post after post about people claiming this game is a scam, and it will never come out, which could harm the game's reputation and make people not pledge, which is only hurting the Dev's and their resources to make the game come out as polished, and fast as possible. I, along with most of us who go on this forum here regularly, whether to just lurk and read (like me) or to ask questions about Identity honestly believe this game is 100%, not a scam, or "another DayZ" or No Mans Sky. With the release date coming out, all the dev streams, all the contact we have had with the devs, it seems like a lot of hard work has gone into this game, and it is such a shame seeing its reputation ruined by people who probably have not even bothered trying to message the devs on the website to ask. In the past week, it has gotten a lot better due to the devs being really good and giving us a lot of information, and even an office tour (link below). So, as a community, why don't we try and clean up the Sub-Reddit, and make it a much more pro-Identity place than the mess it really is at the moment. The Reddit's link is https://www.reddit.com/r/IdentityMMO/ I'm sure if we show the positivity of the community, people will be much more willing to help out the devs and the game will grow a lot more, so there is a larger, thriving community for when Town Square comes out. Reddit is such a large site that many people may check there to see about the game before even checking the actual forums on the website so we need to make sure it isn't filled with just negative comments about the game and is more like what these forums are like. I have started by making a post trying to put out the facts to convince people the game isn't a scam at; Identity Team Office Tour Video: https://t.co/Nq4zb7OxIO

It seems like your one problem might not be much of a problem after all. In Identity, it's mostly just low influence (mostly cosmetic) items which cannot be lost. Things like your debit card, your clothing, and so on. Items which don't give you a strength but instead offer convenience. Most other things can indeed be lost. If you die out in the woods because you thought you could fist fight a bear then you might not have lost much, as there's a good chance you could get back to that place before everything despawns. When someone else is around though, they can loot your corpse and take what's dropped. This is mostly an issue of convenience, and we go for a balance of such versus risk. We fully understand that for life to be exciting, death has to be scary. At the same time, why make people go back to their closet and change their outfit over and over again?

In order to be a police officer, It would be the best decision to make ne person follow up in passing a couple tests and application forms. This would insure not only great teamwork but also verify that we r not dealing with " 2 year olds/Squeekers " !!!!

I think it would be cool to have an app like meetup.com on the phones where players on any server; could organize events, post dates and times, server #, and get notifications in game that an event they subscribed to is starting. Maybe this is already planned but I haven't seen or recognized it(In the phone or laptop, might be blind), and would be pretty immersive and a way to socialize with new people in game.

That is right now, it does fine but the game is no where finished as we have 3 modules and the beta before the full game release. So really we have no clue if medium build PC's will run the full game.

This is what's been pissing me off. I literally sent more than 20 ppl to check out Identity. 3 of them pledged OUT OF 20+ ppl. Everyone I asked, why they didn't pledge. Responded the same, has too many scam posts or taking too long and they will wait to see what happens before pledging to make sure it's not another No Man's Sky...THAT really irks me. I getting sick of being told by kids that I'm bragging because of what I say I put into this game. That's the way a KID thinks, I said what I put invested into getting Identity to compare to the people if people like me, who understand what it takes to make something from nothing. Can be patient with the developers and give them time to make one of the most ambitious games in gaming history. Yes, I belive Identity will revolutionize gaming. Then the posers that just want a cheap game, not to help development, can wait like everyone else without actually deterring people from the project. With help like that who needs enemies or your $15 or $30 if your gonna whine about it. Damn right I'm goin to be pissed my hard work is being sabotaged by so called "pledgers". Some posers trying to save a buck on an awesome game. These people shoulda waited for PRE-ORDER, NOT pre development and early access. I really feel they are doin more harm than good. But I know, I am a horrible person. Because how dare I get pissed off, they don't get mad they get annoyingly condescending and try to act like they are the voice of reason and they never get even slightly upset. One thing I hate about the internet is it gives these KIDS internet muscles and they talk like they would never talk in your face. Anonymity makes people brave. I paid my dues...I'll be damned if some kid my son would smack is gonna give me shit. Especially because they have a right to whine because they are unreasonable. Takes em forever to do their chores but dont make a game in a week and they wanna crucify you. They win I'm done with these forums it become too much measuring and condescending. Hope the game makes it. I'll see you in game if it does.

It is a console and Identity won't likely make it to such things but also Identity will be too big in size likely to be even able to fit on that.

At this point it would probably be incredibly hard to insert ourselves into a reddit like that, especially with that much hate towards the game. It would probably be better if we were to create our own sub reddit. Also, while the Office Tour video does show that they have an office, it doesn't necessarily show off the game, it can be used as an argument for it not being a scam, but because most people are usually cynics on the internet, you should probably add a bit more examples with it

Yeah, really excited. I have been waiting a while but knew that eventually, it would come out. Must have been hard for such a small dev team, but I honestly think we will all be happy with what comes out.

As Shigeru Miyamoto said, "A delayed game will eventually be good, whereas a rushed game will forever be bad". At least I recall it this way, he may have said it differently

I am sure they have a road with 4 lanes wide in each direction planned (My assumption) because in the past a dev has said they want to see a traffic jam and gave a google image of a motorway like that with cars turning around etc. I am totally not sure but I will get beach ball to ask it on the stream tonight.

love the logo man, and seems like you really know where ur headed with this and organized the info well. Also, if u need an extra hand with the "special crops" hollar at me cuz thats what i was interested in this game.

Yeah, this release date is what currently makes me want to see the next day!
  29. 1 point
no, but can be good for detail as to when it rains, that we can see actual clouds etc.as well as the clouds could pass over. It would be a good addition of detail but it being implemented would after full release if anything.

You can still look up into the sky, so either way it will be interesting to see even if no aircrafts (IMO)

If anyone is planning on making a private server such as discussed here, I would be interested in applying for an officer position.

Welcome! The beta isn't out yet, and the release date of the first alpha is to be announced by the end of the month As for making your own 3D elements, this won't be a feature, or it will be one of the last things to be implemented.

Losing clothes and debit cards isn t really my issue to be honest. All that is easily replaceable and will give little or no affect to the player continuing the game, just the cost of replacing the clothes and such. I do understand that if someone spends months building up a character and then die and lose absolutely everything to the point that they have to completely restart the game, then this will be extremely frustrating, even to the point that some players won't bother playing again. We don't want this. I still think death should be more punishable. Even if it's not a complete restart, but it should have a serious impact on there life. Maybe a considerable amount of there wealth should be taken from them. Or even there job should be affected. Losing a rank in there current field of work so they are forced to work there way back up the ladder...
  34. 1 point
No I do not think they are similar at all. You can even go to the developers stream ask them questions. Even see them working on the game at times. Unsung story did none of this. They also still own there game. As the original developers of unsung story sold there game to another developer.
  35. 1 point
Unlike unsung story, the devs here are actually showing progress screenshots, dev blogs, doing Q &A streams, and just recently got a community manager. The unsung story dev team hasn't done jack squat and left backers in the dust for months and even years, not even mentioning as to what was going on, just your "were making good progress well keep you updated." They couldn't even do updates, which is sad. But nah i hardly see the similarities, one is making progress(taking a while but still) and showing it, while the other went quiet and peaced out, giving it to a random studio.

If you manage to climb social ranks and earn prestige. Would it not be a lot more rewarding to do so with just one life?
  37. 1 point
Yea but to my understanding it won't be that easy for players to kill another player. And as I said, you still have the chance of paramedics saving you. On your other point of players accidentally killing themselves. Well then it's there own fault and of course though, this will make players a lot more careful while playing when they have so much to lose. It will add to the realism that identity is looking for as well I imagine.?

@General_Reece_Fel Please read the FAQ's, or at least browse these The Precinct subforums. They are littered with information concerning recruitment on public and private servers. We've answered this question on multiple occasion in the past month, and in great detail if I may add. Please, just look around a bit. Also:
