3 pointsI know what you mean, but it's in my nature not to leave things freewheeling, even more so when it's this kind of debates (or games of taking-offence, sometimes). I'm sorry if I annoyed anyone by putting my opinion out there (and I'm certainly not being sarcastic), and, regardless of whether I should feel targeted by that last bit or not, I'll just stop responding to this kind of offensive post as much as I can I'm still glad to see that even with the doubts you may have you're still interested in this game's release!

2 pointsEh... Yeah? The thing is that you don't even take a look at what you say. You talk about people joining conversations, people taking offence, criticism, respect... And you jump on conversations overly exaggerating everything and putting the same argument that "you bought the game, you bought a PC, you were a console gamer, so nobody has the right to complain". If you wanted to make people understand there is no need to be concerned about this game development, you could have just defended your point of view with a structured opinion, clean language, and no reference to yourself... The money you invested isn't, and won't ever be, a reason for people not to have their own point of view. To sum it up, if someone has doubt, just act like the kind moderators of this forums, and tell them why they are wrong, one idea at a time. You'll see, this will only be more effective, and for once, people may even take the time to read your blocks of text Now I know how you will answer to that post and that saddens me, but hey, if you don't want to change, who am I to tell you what to do?

2 pointsI think that all the staff have done well and are a great help! We may not see all on the forum but behind the scenes, everyone is doing a great job! Also I think @Beach_Ball is whacking that ball perfectly with his new position. It has been fantastic to also see the community appreciating more of what the devs do (not saying they have not appreciated it) but I am saying it is being seen more frequently! I would like to say thank you to the community for the respect they keep in the community! LuckyDuck.
-
2 pointsI would like to thank @Paratus for his hard work to get the game to our hands as quick as possible! I would also like to thank @LuckyDuck for all the support provided to the community and professionalism shown. Everyone else in the development and moderation team has done a great job, I felt these two should be thanked individually.

2 points(Yup it looks like it just me and you White Mask) Radio Chatter " Simms, Sanchez, Where the hell are you?" Sanchez picks up the radio and presses the button on the side. "Sanchez here, with Simms go ahead." He lets go of the button. "White Mask has been see at the Hockey Arena." Simms presses the gas petal down to the floor. "Ten four Simms and Sanchez in route How long til SWAT is ready?" Sanchez lets go of the button once again. " They will be ready in Five but it will take an hour for them to reach the arena. over" Sanchez: "So I guess we are going to the hockey arena?" Simms: " Your damn right" Simms leans over to his radio turning it on and turns the dial to the sports station. "Now we will have a play by play on when the White Mask will make himself known." 30 minutes later Sanchez and Simms pulls up to the arena. With 5 minutes left into the game, The Ice Sharks score. making it 3 to 0. Simms and Sanchez get out of the vehicle making their way into the arena. They both flash their badges to the security guard. Sanchez stays back to talk to the security guards letting them know whats going on. Simms walks down to the ice. The fans were loud, the players checking each others against the wall made them even louder. "Where are you White Mask?" Simms said to himself looking around the arena. Sanchez walks up behind Simms and stands next to him as he also looks around. " 3......2.....1.." The Buzzer goes off and a blast of music plays as the ice sharks win the game. Fans starts to bang on the glass, clapping and screaming. "Alright if that son of bitch is here he should make himself kno....." The lights in the arena go out. White Mask is seen on the video above. The Fans are screaming and running to the exits now, as so is the hockey players. "know...there he is he is here...go stop that feed." Sanchez pushes himself through the crowd to make his way to the video area where the video feed is. ( Hey White Mask check your PM I want to make sure we are on the same page for this.)

2 pointsI'm amazed there are still some people who still think this way... Dive a little more into this forum's life, and you'll see that the dev process is as alive as ever and that you should be awaiting the release date more than saying "yeah I've heard that before". Their whole schedule is based on approximations, as the dev process goes on following its own pace. Me personally, I'm happier with an honest game dev schedule than with one that is too strict, and doesn't allow flexibility.

1 pointBeginning of a new era Wow, what a month; busy and exciting and full of promise! While the developers have been hard at work getting the Town Square module ready to go, I've been preparing our new office space and interviewing potential Asylum developers. We've raised almost $800,000, allowing us to expand in a big way and bring on loads of new talent. Asylum Entertainment's new home If you read my last dev blog you'll remember that we had just scouted out office space and had narrowed our search to one. Now we have the keys and I've been working hard to get it operational. I never want to see another hex key again! It's almost hard to imagine that we've been working on Identity with a team spread out around the world. The talent of our small team has astonished me. It's exciting to consider how finally working in a formal setting is going to boost productivity. Not only is working in an office such as this going to make it easier to work together, but we've been on a hiring craze. Having sifted through hundreds of applications over the past few weeks and interviewing dozens of skilled individuals, we've selected most new developers to join our team. Our programming manpower is now three times stronger. Finally, after all this time we're now able to afford a full-time community manager. Joining our team at the new office location next week is Identity's community manager, Brandon! You'll be hearing from him very regulary. We're committing to keeping you in constant contact with the development team. Keep an eye on our website as well as social media! Town Square on the horizon! With our new studio starting up next week and the new programming talent coming on-board, our goal of the Town Square release is getting nearer. It's big news: the official Town Square release date will be announced in the month of October. With all of the changes affecting our productivity in such a positive way, we need to see how everyone works together over the next few weeks. This will allow us to give our fans a date with which we can be confident. We've got the Twitch We wanted to give you a glimpse of the game development process and have been streaming on Twitch to show you how it's done. Four hour (or more) long streams have gone live since my last dev blog; keep an eye on Identity's Twitter for future stream announcements. We try to have at least one development stream per week. As a fan of Identity, one of the things you're going to enjoy most is the flurry of videos which will be coming soon showing off the social features of the Town Square. For a simple social module, there's a good bit of fun things to do! New in the Town Square Our lead programmer, Henrik, has been hard at work these last couple of weeks refactoring our housing system to make it more stable and better performing for the Town Square module release. Everything's looking great at this point and he's very excited to get a bunch of new help over the next couple of weeks. With more great talent joining our art team, we're producing assets and new environments at an astonishing pace. Interiors we only hoped to have in Town Square by its release have gone from concept to reality very quickly. Last dev blog I showed you the concept art pieces produced for the police station. The police station was something we didn't expect to be available in the initial Town Square release, but with our art team hard at work we're getting a lot done. Below you'll find the lobby as it is in-game. The police station in Town Square will be a place for you to learn about the policing career, but it will also eventually feature a shooting range for you to test the weapon systems in Identity. Police station lobby in Town Square Our character and clothing team has also been adding a large variety of things to wear in the Town Square. Both clothing and accessories are being added all the time. Note the attention to detail and excellent quality of the clothing pieces in Identity. New sweater clothing What's to come In summary, we've been moving along with Identity's development at a great pace considering the size of our team; however, our team is growing in a big way right now. New developers are selected and some are starting at the new office as early as this coming week. Once the new guys have been oriented and we get an understanding of their work, we're going to be able to analyze the tasks remaining and give you a release date for Town Square. This is a big deal; Town Square isn't all that far off now and we're already preparing and planning for the next module: SWAT. I hoped to release a video showing combat systems already, but most the remaining work for that falls on myself as the other developers are busy with the real systems for Town Square. I've not had much time over these weeks from preparing the office, so that's on hold a bit; my priority is getting the Town Square module into your hands as soon as possible. Because we're getting further along now, and with the added manpower, we're going to soon start releasing small gameplay videos showing off the different aspects of Town Square. Finally, Brandon is joining Asylum as a dedicated full-time community manager! Brandon will be keeping you up to date constantly. Our silent days are soon to be over! -- John VanderZwet Deja Vu! (I've just been in the place before...) Salutations again! This time it's Brandon talking. John's been too busy to update the site, so I'm here to finally add the 10th Developer Blog to the corresponding section of the forums! You've most likely seen this update if you've been active in "The Town Square" section of the site, so I apologize for not having anything new to share in terms of screenshots or stuff like that. D: No need to get the pitchforks out though! I might have a few things to tide you guys over! (Please don't poke me aaa.) Charles (the game developer sitting beside me in the office) is currently in a skype call with another programmer on the team getting the 411 on the current build of Identity. They're walking through some stuff in regards to the Unreal Engine and talking about all sorts of things that are t o t a l l y beyond me. I took some java and C programming courses as electives when I was in University and MAN, I've had a newfound appreciation for coders ever since. I'll see if I can get some tangible information about the specifics of what Charles is working on after the call, because all I see is a mixture of math and player models! In other news, I've been hanging around in the discord, answering questions where I can and seeking advice from the higher-ups when I'm stumped. It's been going quite well actually! There seem to be a lot of fans enthusiastic about seeing more of the office, so I'm going to try and get a picture or two up on the @Identityrpg twitter. Charles has a 3 monitor setup that looks pretty sick, the lucky dog... Oh! Have I mentioned that there's a channel dedicated to posting small WIP models and other treats in the discord? It's #new_media! Check it out when you get a chance! The fiber internet for the office has also finally been installed! Like, completely! No more router issues or anything, I'm typing this up from a wired connection right now! With this, I should be able to join the stream later today so I can finally speak with the other developers. I'm very excited, and I hope to see some of you there! I don't think I'll actually be playing a game (I'm absolutely trash at most shooters but I swear I'm gunna train up for module two), but I'm very interested in getting my voice out there and meeting some of the developers that I haven't had a chance to speak with yet! Thanks for sticking around everyone! I'll get more information to you ASAP! Have a good one! -B

1 pointHello all, Virtual Worlds like SecondLife (and now Sansar), IMVU, Warcraft and others... work, grow, evolve and make "economy" thanks to a Big Market of Creations by the Players-Accounts-Avatars-Users. That can expand faster the possibilities and increase the speed of development. So, my suggestion is to open the possibility to the users to make stuff... with the supervision-selection of an Art Director, part of the official Team. That can be a secondary market with limits decided by the Identity Team. Development will be fast and more creative thanks to the contribution of User-Creators Economy and Item Shop will grow incredibly Identity can be more attractive for new user because of the amount of items and possibilities. Users-Creators will have the possibility to have a micro-economy selling stuff and making money (with a fee to give) and having a great Job-Career Motivation for User-Creator will be very high and Brand New products will come continuously That works great with other platforms... so, why not here? Example: Sansar by LindenLab (the new platform) Team can focus on the development of the platform and the features. thanks for the attention, Valya

1 pointHey, just curious about who is giving the moderators applications a try (including myself) and what you are looking forward to if chosen?

1 pointBeta non è ancora disponibile. Stiamo per ottenere la data di uscita di questo mese. E cercare di parlare in inglese poiché molte persone non capiscono l'italiano
-
1 pointGlad to see that you enjoyed learning more about us and that you seem to agree with our policies! Unfortunately, as I have been very busy in real life, I have been unable to respond to some of the applications, however, I do check them very often and will send you a private message shortly in regards to it. It's always great to have wonderful supporters like you who will help to make the island an even better place. Have a great day/night.
-
1 pointand if they aren't, there are mods that are active. As well as the community Manager.
-
1 pointQuick PSA to all of you out there. There is said to be a dev blog coming end of the month/Sept 1st, where the release of Town Square will be announced. If you really want to know more info, do yourself a favor and join the Discord. Devs are actually decently active on it.
-
1 pointI am sure they have a road with 4 lanes wide in each direction planned (My assumption) because in the past a dev has said they want to see a traffic jam and gave a google image of a motorway like that with cars turning around etc. I am totally not sure but I will get beach ball to ask it on the stream tonight.
-
1 pointYeah, this release date is what currently makes me want to see the next day!
-
1 pointWell that is the perfect example of someone not using the search bar This question is answered here: http://www.identityrpg.com/info/ And also, there is a whole bunch of messages and answered questions about the police career and legal aspect of the game here: http://www.identityrpg.com/community/forum/15-the-precinct-span-stylefont-size07empolicespan/ If you still have questions that are not answered on the site, then it's a good thing to ask those in forum topics, but most questions already have an answer, so you can start with that
-
1 pointWell the only platform right now the game will be for is PC, so you can all play together if you buy the game.
-
1 pointThere is more than one city on the map; it's an island after all. I would say it's almost guaranteed that there will be interstates in game. How the laws and such apply to this however, I suspect will be server based.
-
1 pointI visited your page yesterday, and I must say.....I'm impressed. Not only did I vote for you in the unofficial pole, but applied to be a part of your security detail as well. Your cause is one I can easily get behind. It's nice to see people take a detailed interest in the politics of the game in this amount of detail before it is even released. If any of you haven't checked out his page yet, I highly recommend it!
-
1 pointYes, there will be some manual cars and mainly automatic ones, but there will be both!
-
1 pointI don't recall the developers ever making a promise for a solid release date. They did however promise that work was being done on it adamantly, and now that they've gone full-time practically with a new office and such, I'm sure the process will be much more speedy than it has in the past once they get things sorted. If this is a con, than it is a very elaborate one. (That being said I don't believe this is one, too much work has been put into it and I am whole heartedly and eagerly awaiting the release for the game)
-
1 pointLet's not turn this into a huge flame war on the forums lol Was just trying to put my opinion out there, and as I've said in previous posts, I have my doubts, but I am still enthusiastic about the game's release. I just didn't expect snowflakes to lose control when hearing an opinion that goes against theirs.
-
1 point1. There will be a storage system with your clothes. 2. Any weapon on your character will be visible. Pistols will be hooked to your waist, assault rifles on your back, etc. The reason for this is a way to prevent RDM. If someone is equipped with a weapon, the cops will already be suspicious. 3. Duffel bags aren't in the game, but there are backpacks for extra storage. 4. You can't necessarily be a dirty cop since it wouldn't be fun for the other player. 5. You can create a gang and run your own drug cartel. Included are cartel locations located on the map for events regarding this career. 6. You can steal cars, but not sell them. It'd be a grind and players cars come with insurance so they never lose it. It wouldn't be fun. 7. You can smoke weed and any other drugs as well as drink alcohol and get effect from these things. You can also cook meth in your apartment or an RV that is also driveable. If you aren't already aware of the modules check them out here as the first module's release date will be announced this month.

1 pointClick on the "About" tab to learn more "Identity takes place in a fictional land in the eastern United States, inspired primarily by the Carolinas and Georgia."
-
1 pointUnfortunately, my schedule with school doesn't allow to to tune for the streams. If you can ask for me that would be great!
-
1 pointWelcome! The beta isn't out yet, and the release date of the first alpha is to be announced by the end of the month As for making your own 3D elements, this won't be a feature, or it will be one of the last things to be implemented.
-
1 pointI believe the devs have said that they aren't ever going to look for investers since that would limit the ideas of the devs. Also, your block of text kinda proves the OP's original point of people jumping the gun on what he was saying. He has the right to criticize a game that in the past has failed to meet a said dead line. I also believe the said themselves that they support the game and is excited to see it work, but has worries. These type of things are perfectly normal and should be counted as the OP, with good intentions wants the devs to succeeded. You may need to learn to take constructive criticism before you piss off the wrong person. I don't want to see a fan of the game get kick because they didn't know when to stop. Don't worry about me, not replying after this post.
-
1 pointI must have taken this wrong then. When you said anyone I didn't realize it was only important people that should be worried. Well I guess then I scoundnt be scared or worried at all then. Great, now I can finally relax. Have a fun time bud playing puppeteer.

1 point(Man this RP is dying fast whats up peeps?) A Cargo van stops in the middle of the street of a busy intersection. Luckily it was in the middle of the night so not too many cars were on the road. Matter of fact no-one was on the road but that rats crossing the street. White Mask steps out of the cargo van and makes his way to the back of the van. *knock knock* "Hello is anyone in there that wants to play?" Screams and laughter is heard from inside of the van. White Mask bangs on the van door one more time to get them louder from inside of the van. The van back door swings open as White Mask steps to the side and bows holding the door open for the murders, The Insane, and the Crazies. White Mask stands up as a group of them just stand there looking at him. "Gentleman this is your city now..." He raises his hands up "Go forth become a throne in the side of the PD, become the person who goes bump in the night, Become a MONSTER!" They cheer and yell. One of the patience just snaps and runs towards White Mask screaming. With out even thinking white Mask pulls his pistol from his thigh holster and points it at the crazy patience running towards him. With the squeeze of the trigger he sends three rounds into him. Two in the chest and one right in the head. White Mask sighs and holster his pistol. "Damn it Crazy Lou...I really wanted you to make something of yourself. I really enjoyed your work." White Mask shakes his head and looks back at the group. "Just go be free..." He says in a sad voice. "But you and you" He points to Bob and Tom. "I want you Bob the Butcher and Tom Two Times, to come with me. I got a plan for us." He waves them over and tells them to get into the van. As the group scatters into the darkness. Meanwhile somewhere on the island. "Welcome back ladies and gentleman we are in the 3rd period and your very own Ice Sharks hits the ice. They lead two to Zero." "That's right Jack if the Storm wants to get back into the game they will need to play these last minutes with hard and score early before time runs out." "Oliver they need to score quick and then score again and again. Then play some defense to get the job done." Jack: "The Ice Sharks has been skating real nice and hitting hard making the Storm look like fools but I have a good feeling about this last period." Oliver: "Lets look back at the last two periods and see the highlights." "The Ice Sharks (6-1-1) are off to their best start since going 7-0-1 in 2003-04. The Storm (5-2-0) are on four-game winning streak. The Ice Sharks Goalie made 33 saves in the final two periods. As The Storm made 19 saves So far. The Ice Sharks scored its first goal in game with a slap shot from the left point at 17:48 of the first period. The Ice Sharks checked The Storm forward player along the wall, Then the Ice Sharks picked up the puck and passed back to to another Ice Shark, with that the Ice Sharks made it 2-0 at 15:37 of the second period. The Storm had an 18-5 shot advantage in the second period but could not score on two power plays. And that is your highlights so far now lets get back to the actions as your very own Ice Sharks get ready for the third period." A Cargo Van pulls up the ice arena. Security Guard: "Hey you can't park here!" He moves to the passenger side of the van and knocks on the window "Hey Buddy!" *BAM* shatter glass burst on the side of the passenger side window, and the security guard goes down. White Mask climbs out from the driver side of the van as the back doors of the van opens and two men hop out with a someone tied up and a black hood over their head. White Mask laughs as he hops his way over to the down guard grabbing his radio. "Officer Simmsssssss..Come out and play..." White Mask stands up and makes his way to the front doors of the arena. "Simms there is an officer down...well security guard down at the Ice Sharks Arena. And yes Im here....Im here to get my revenge on you since you Shot me at the bank...So come and get me Simms You have until the third period ends..And if you don't make it by then I will kill your wife.." He laughs over the radio and then clicks it off and tosses behind him kicking the front door open of the arena.

1 pointThe pledge vehicles can be driven and well any vehicles can be driven without that drivers license, it is just if you get caught then you will get a fine or go jail etc. However to receive a drivers license you will have to take a test (Tutorial) and so it is an automated process. I hope this clears things up for you. Regards, LuckyDuck.
-
1 pointThe movies are on the public domain and that is either it has expired on copy right after so many years of the owner's death or after 70 years from being launched etc.
-
1 pointWill u be playing in Official servers or private servers? If you're playing on official, I doubt people will really listen to attending these meetings :<
-
1 pointHeyy! What do you have against PUBG? It's awesome I'd hardly say it's repetitive. You never know where you're going to land at the start of the match since the plane flies in a different direction every time and you always have to be on the lookout for snipers and trappers (people who set up roadblocks and other traps then ambush people).
-
1 pointI don't think robbing houses would be a good think. It's a Safespace (Shout out to all my SJW) for the player were you can socially interact with people. -Noe Rock
-
1 pointThere is a problem with that. You need permissions to enter and specific permissions to move stuff. You cannot even have a gun in your hands when in the house to shoot it. It is a safe zone pretty much and the devs will not change that.
-
1 pointThis Aziz guy is a bit loose in the head, be careful. We have a suspicion he may be Protectron Mk.3 as well.
