As a gamer with professional experience in product management, and having worked on a life server in the past, I find it interesting how every new game gets the "It's never going to happen" treatment. Regarding your worries about the development process, if you have never worked in software development or ever had a go at setting up your own altis life server, I encourage you to try it! What you will find is a never ending list of things to implement, bugfix and balance. I worked at it in a team of 3 and you very quickly realize the amount of time it requires to make a product people want to play. I spent many many days working 14 hrs or more on the project. Then I would hop on to an Asylum server and see they added 10 different things and balanced this or that, all on a network of servers to cater to 400 people at a time. Its impressive. Now completely change game engines, learn what its limitations are, change development languages, and all the new math you need to figure out AND get it to work together nicely together with everything else without so much as mistyping a single semicolon. It takes even more time. Honestly the little bit of video and media they have presented seems impressive to me. As far as people get concerned with a lack of constant updates, my best guess is they are too busy working on the backend(as they stated + videos of lines of code aren't as sexy as a pile of drugs and guns) and having to balance that with a need as a company to manage their public relations and put their best foot forward. It all takes time. On the business side, they just hired more people on, rented an office. As someone who has run a company making first to market products, these steps by Asylum certainly DO NOT scream to me, scam artists! What it does seem like, is they are pushing FULL forward to making the game they, and others could see that altis life could be. And as far as the release date for the alpha goes, yea it's hype by them, but they definitely need those that support it to tell their friends and raise more cash $$$. Someone might say, but they raised "800k-1million dollars!" I can't say for Canada, but in most of the US, every employee a company adds, their payroll costs the company like 15-18% more than what you see at face value. So if they now have 10 employees(idk) they might have this year covered but I'm sure they still need more. That's not forgetting, but not getting, into the interpersonal dynamics of running an efficient team while keeping them motivated and on task. Making ANY new product takes a lot of time and balls. Maybe some have done it faster and more that you never hear about quit, not every game is developed by a 1 man wonder, sometimes it's just regular people with passion for an idea. Asylum didn't let me down as a casual on their Arma servers and with the 10 Oct update I don't have any reason to believe why they would now.

I would like to thank @Paratus for his hard work to get the game to our hands as quick as possible! I would also like to thank @LuckyDuck for all the support provided to the community and professionalism shown. Everyone else in the development and moderation team has done a great job, I felt these two should be thanked individually.

The pledge vehicles can be driven and well any vehicles can be driven without that drivers license, it is just if you get caught then you will get a fine or go jail etc. However to receive a drivers license you will have to take a test (Tutorial) and so it is an automated process. I hope this clears things up for you. Regards, LuckyDuck.

I'm amazed there are still some people who still think this way... Dive a little more into this forum's life, and you'll see that the dev process is as alive as ever and that you should be awaiting the release date more than saying "yeah I've heard that before". Their whole schedule is based on approximations, as the dev process goes on following its own pace. Me personally, I'm happier with an honest game dev schedule than with one that is too strict, and doesn't allow flexibility.

Greetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

Beginning of a new era Wow, what a month; busy and exciting and full of promise! While the developers have been hard at work getting the Town Square module ready to go, I've been preparing our new office space and interviewing potential Asylum developers. We've raised almost $800,000, allowing us to expand in a big way and bring on loads of new talent. Asylum Entertainment's new home If you read my last dev blog you'll remember that we had just scouted out office space and had narrowed our search to one. Now we have the keys and I've been working hard to get it operational. I never want to see another hex key again! It's almost hard to imagine that we've been working on Identity with a team spread out around the world. The talent of our small team has astonished me. It's exciting to consider how finally working in a formal setting is going to boost productivity. Not only is working in an office such as this going to make it easier to work together, but we've been on a hiring craze. Having sifted through hundreds of applications over the past few weeks and interviewing dozens of skilled individuals, we've selected most new developers to join our team. Our programming manpower is now three times stronger. Finally, after all this time we're now able to afford a full-time community manager. Joining our team at the new office location next week is Identity's community manager, Brandon! You'll be hearing from him very regulary. We're committing to keeping you in constant contact with the development team. Keep an eye on our website as well as social media! Town Square on the horizon! With our new studio starting up next week and the new programming talent coming on-board, our goal of the Town Square release is getting nearer. It's big news: the official Town Square release date will be announced in the month of October. With all of the changes affecting our productivity in such a positive way, we need to see how everyone works together over the next few weeks. This will allow us to give our fans a date with which we can be confident. We've got the Twitch We wanted to give you a glimpse of the game development process and have been streaming on Twitch to show you how it's done. Four hour (or more) long streams have gone live since my last dev blog; keep an eye on Identity's Twitter for future stream announcements. We try to have at least one development stream per week. As a fan of Identity, one of the things you're going to enjoy most is the flurry of videos which will be coming soon showing off the social features of the Town Square. For a simple social module, there's a good bit of fun things to do! New in the Town Square Our lead programmer, Henrik, has been hard at work these last couple of weeks refactoring our housing system to make it more stable and better performing for the Town Square module release. Everything's looking great at this point and he's very excited to get a bunch of new help over the next couple of weeks. With more great talent joining our art team, we're producing assets and new environments at an astonishing pace. Interiors we only hoped to have in Town Square by its release have gone from concept to reality very quickly. Last dev blog I showed you the concept art pieces produced for the police station. The police station was something we didn't expect to be available in the initial Town Square release, but with our art team hard at work we're getting a lot done. Below you'll find the lobby as it is in-game. The police station in Town Square will be a place for you to learn about the policing career, but it will also eventually feature a shooting range for you to test the weapon systems in Identity. Police station lobby in Town Square Our character and clothing team has also been adding a large variety of things to wear in the Town Square. Both clothing and accessories are being added all the time. Note the attention to detail and excellent quality of the clothing pieces in Identity. New sweater clothing What's to come In summary, we've been moving along with Identity's development at a great pace considering the size of our team; however, our team is growing in a big way right now. New developers are selected and some are starting at the new office as early as this coming week. Once the new guys have been oriented and we get an understanding of their work, we're going to be able to analyze the tasks remaining and give you a release date for Town Square. This is a big deal; Town Square isn't all that far off now and we're already preparing and planning for the next module: SWAT. I hoped to release a video showing combat systems already, but most the remaining work for that falls on myself as the other developers are busy with the real systems for Town Square. I've not had much time over these weeks from preparing the office, so that's on hold a bit; my priority is getting the Town Square module into your hands as soon as possible. Because we're getting further along now, and with the added manpower, we're going to soon start releasing small gameplay videos showing off the different aspects of Town Square. Finally, Brandon is joining Asylum as a dedicated full-time community manager! Brandon will be keeping you up to date constantly. Our silent days are soon to be over! -- John VanderZwet Deja Vu! (I've just been in the place before...) Salutations again! This time it's Brandon talking. John's been too busy to update the site, so I'm here to finally add the 10th Developer Blog to the corresponding section of the forums! You've most likely seen this update if you've been active in "The Town Square" section of the site, so I apologize for not having anything new to share in terms of screenshots or stuff like that. D: No need to get the pitchforks out though! I might have a few things to tide you guys over! (Please don't poke me aaa.) Charles (the game developer sitting beside me in the office) is currently in a skype call with another programmer on the team getting the 411 on the current build of Identity. They're walking through some stuff in regards to the Unreal Engine and talking about all sorts of things that are t o t a l l y beyond me. I took some java and C programming courses as electives when I was in University and MAN, I've had a newfound appreciation for coders ever since. I'll see if I can get some tangible information about the specifics of what Charles is working on after the call, because all I see is a mixture of math and player models! In other news, I've been hanging around in the discord, answering questions where I can and seeking advice from the higher-ups when I'm stumped. It's been going quite well actually! There seem to be a lot of fans enthusiastic about seeing more of the office, so I'm going to try and get a picture or two up on the @Identityrpg twitter. Charles has a 3 monitor setup that looks pretty sick, the lucky dog... Oh! Have I mentioned that there's a channel dedicated to posting small WIP models and other treats in the discord? It's #new_media! Check it out when you get a chance! The fiber internet for the office has also finally been installed! Like, completely! No more router issues or anything, I'm typing this up from a wired connection right now! With this, I should be able to join the stream later today so I can finally speak with the other developers. I'm very excited, and I hope to see some of you there! I don't think I'll actually be playing a game (I'm absolutely trash at most shooters but I swear I'm gunna train up for module two), but I'm very interested in getting my voice out there and meeting some of the developers that I haven't had a chance to speak with yet! Thanks for sticking around everyone! I'll get more information to you ASAP! Have a good one! -B

Moe's Diner, on the corner of 6th and DuPont Ave. Ol' Moe opened this place with brother, way back when this neighborhood was strictly "Italian-Only". That was a long time ago, back when the Mob owned these blocks. They've since cleared out, now we mostly cater to bikers off the interstate, some Yakuza thugs occasionally frequent the place, they run the docks two blocks over. Moe is an old man now, he mostly sleeps in his one bedroom upstairs, so it's up to the girls to handle most of the work. Gus is the cook, he's Moe's grandson. He's a pervy kid, not more than 18 really. Always oggling us while we work, but hey, at least we don't have to cook. I've been here almost a year and I'm already the closing girl. It's a good gig, gives me money for my "hobbies,". My name's Pam, if you don't see me here, I'm out being bad. Mary's usually here in the mornings with Lacey, and Starla and Darienne work with me, although they're usually just gossiping or flirting, little tramps those two. Leah's the new girl, she's a sweetie, don't know how she ended up in this neighborhood. We don't really have a manager per se, although there's Dennis, he's a piece of work. He's the son of an old friend of Moe's, after Moe's brother got shot by a gangbanger this guy, Ed I think, he was there. So now Dennis is the "manager," although he never shows up, only to steal food, harass us, and try to sleep with us on the regular. He's a coke fiend, usually reeks of sweat, and has some two-bit hooker on his arm when he comes in. And then there's his "friends," big scary tatted-up guys, coming in here looking for him and the money he owes them. That's always fun. Anyway, the coffee is always fresh here, and we make a mean breakfast platter here. The burger's are pretty good here too, and my pies are to die for. Don't order the french toast, that egg wash is not fresh, trust me. Also, the jukebox usually doesn't work, give it a kick or two and you're golden. And don't you think about trying to case the joint, I got a .45 glock under the register, and honey I know how to use it! Moe's Diner Hours: 5:00am-11:00pm Breakfast, All day Eggs: $1 per egg, limit is 3 Waffles: $2 for 2, $5 for a stack Toast: 50 cents French Toast: $3 Eggs in a basket: $5 Bacon: $1.50 Coffee: $1 with refills Breakfast Sausage: $3 Chicken and Waffles: $6 Breakfast Special: Comes with 3 eggs, bacon, toast, breakfast sausage. $8 Lunch, All day Hamburger: $5 Cheeseburger: $6, add a fried egg/chili for $1 each French Fries: $3 Chili Fries: $4 Chili Cheese Fries: $5 Meatball Sub: $6 Cold Sandwich: Options include Ham, Prosciutto, Salami, Pepperoni, Capicola, Roast Beef, Turkey, Mozzarella, Monterrey Jack, American, Swiss, Banana Peppers, Pickles, Spicy Relish, Mustard, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, $4, $5 on a ciabatta bun, 50 cents for each extra meat Chili: $3 Grits: $2 Fried Chicken: $8 a bucket Dinner*, 5pm or later Spaghetti: $5 Ravioli: $6 Chicken Parmesan: $8 Chimichanga: $6 Pastelitos per carne: $3 per pastry Gnocchi: $4 Chili con carne: $6 *Dinner may not be served on that particular day Drinks: We serve alcohol after 11am Full bar opens at 3pm Soda: $1.50 Tea: $2 Beer: Bottled $3 Wine: Only at dinner, $5 a glass Mixed Drinks: $7 for house, $9 for top shelf

(Man this RP is dying fast whats up peeps?) A Cargo van stops in the middle of the street of a busy intersection. Luckily it was in the middle of the night so not too many cars were on the road. Matter of fact no-one was on the road but that rats crossing the street. White Mask steps out of the cargo van and makes his way to the back of the van. *knock knock* "Hello is anyone in there that wants to play?" Screams and laughter is heard from inside of the van. White Mask bangs on the van door one more time to get them louder from inside of the van. The van back door swings open as White Mask steps to the side and bows holding the door open for the murders, The Insane, and the Crazies. White Mask stands up as a group of them just stand there looking at him. "Gentleman this is your city now..." He raises his hands up "Go forth become a throne in the side of the PD, become the person who goes bump in the night, Become a MONSTER!" They cheer and yell. One of the patience just snaps and runs towards White Mask screaming. With out even thinking white Mask pulls his pistol from his thigh holster and points it at the crazy patience running towards him. With the squeeze of the trigger he sends three rounds into him. Two in the chest and one right in the head. White Mask sighs and holster his pistol. "Damn it Crazy Lou...I really wanted you to make something of yourself. I really enjoyed your work." White Mask shakes his head and looks back at the group. "Just go be free..." He says in a sad voice. "But you and you" He points to Bob and Tom. "I want you Bob the Butcher and Tom Two Times, to come with me. I got a plan for us." He waves them over and tells them to get into the van. As the group scatters into the darkness. Meanwhile somewhere on the island. "Welcome back ladies and gentleman we are in the 3rd period and your very own Ice Sharks hits the ice. They lead two to Zero." "That's right Jack if the Storm wants to get back into the game they will need to play these last minutes with hard and score early before time runs out." "Oliver they need to score quick and then score again and again. Then play some defense to get the job done." Jack: "The Ice Sharks has been skating real nice and hitting hard making the Storm look like fools but I have a good feeling about this last period." Oliver: "Lets look back at the last two periods and see the highlights." "The Ice Sharks (6-1-1) are off to their best start since going 7-0-1 in 2003-04. The Storm (5-2-0) are on four-game winning streak. The Ice Sharks Goalie made 33 saves in the final two periods. As The Storm made 19 saves So far. The Ice Sharks scored its first goal in game with a slap shot from the left point at 17:48 of the first period. The Ice Sharks checked The Storm forward player along the wall, Then the Ice Sharks picked up the puck and passed back to to another Ice Shark, with that the Ice Sharks made it 2-0 at 15:37 of the second period. The Storm had an 18-5 shot advantage in the second period but could not score on two power plays. And that is your highlights so far now lets get back to the actions as your very own Ice Sharks get ready for the third period." A Cargo Van pulls up the ice arena. Security Guard: "Hey you can't park here!" He moves to the passenger side of the van and knocks on the window "Hey Buddy!" *BAM* shatter glass burst on the side of the passenger side window, and the security guard goes down. White Mask climbs out from the driver side of the van as the back doors of the van opens and two men hop out with a someone tied up and a black hood over their head. White Mask laughs as he hops his way over to the down guard grabbing his radio. "Officer Simmsssssss..Come out and play..." White Mask stands up and makes his way to the front doors of the arena. "Simms there is an officer down...well security guard down at the Ice Sharks Arena. And yes Im here....Im here to get my revenge on you since you Shot me at the bank...So come and get me Simms You have until the third period ends..And if you don't make it by then I will kill your wife.." He laughs over the radio and then clicks it off and tosses behind him kicking the front door open of the arena.

Every business has a unique phone number. You as the business would try advertise that number so that people can get the number easily.

As shown to us during the stream on the 24th of August of 2017. Barbershop concept art. There will be multiple version of interiors of barber shops across the island. But THIS will be the one we'll get to see in the Town Square module. Work In Progress! (default will be black, this one has issues still, brown zippers anyone?)

I see many things wrong with this. 1- Taxes are what not only help small businesses but also help Government funding to give those small businesses their money if they ever need a bailout. Taxes are something that's are needed because without them a country would be insanely poor. 2- The legalization of firearms would result in everybody trying to shoot everybody. People have short tempers and will shoot on sight for no reason whatsoever. 3- Privatization of state owned institutions is a very bad thing. Because along with your legalization of firearms, drugs and now this you'll get what you strived for. While that may be good for you. That's means a few things. The lower class citizens and the working man will take those drugs and guns and rebel towards your party. Privatization of institutions would mean you have nowhere to go for help. And no taxes mean if you needed any help the police wouldn't be able to help you because they have no money from those taxes to get cars, guns and other equipment. While I enjoy the idea of a party of this stature I also see too many problems with what could happen. I'm not hating but I'm just warning you of what could happen.

Identity Forum Guidelines Last Edit: July 9th, 2018 Participation in the Official Identity forums constitutes agreement to the following guidelines, which apply to posts, profile information, avatars, signatures, private messaging, and any other content on this site and participation in general. The live nature of discussions in this community makes it difficult for staff to catch every violation of these rules. If you believe that someone has violated our User Guidelines, please send a private message to a member of our volunteer moderation team or staff with a link to the content and a brief description of what you believe is wrong. Please do not respond to a violation personally, as you may aggravate the situation and possibly violate our guidelines yourself. Any content that violates our User Guidelines will be removed. Interpretation of our guidelines is at the discretion of the staff. Please do 1. Report violations of the forum rules. Moderators will quickly review reports and make decisions based on the information you provide. 2. Respect others. Showing respect will encourage others to participate in discussion. 3. Like posts, that you feel contribute useful information to a discussion. 4. Read the rules, so that you do not accidentally receive an infraction or ban. 5. Be constructive. Help others by answering questions, and offer feedback to their ideas. 6. Read before posting. Fully Comprehend the topic of discussion and determine what has already been discussed. 7. Use proper grammar and spelling. Read your post before submitting. Spelling mistakes may attract attention away from the discussion. 8. Search for content related to your questions. There’s a good chance that there may already be an answer to what you are looking for! Please don’t 1. Troll. Trolling does not contribute to meaningful discussion. 2. Spam. Spamming clutters the forum and makes it difficult to find original content. 3. Flame, or attack others. Insults do not contribute to discussion, and will be removed. 4. Repost Deleted Content. Content that was deleted was removed for a reason, even if the reason is unclear. 5. Demonstrate or perpetuate toxic behavior. A user is considered toxic if they repeatedly make defamatory, threatening, insulting, or otherwise hateful remarks toward other users or staff. Please keep language civil when expressing your opinions. 6. Advertise websites or services unrelated to Identity. We do not sell advertising space on the Identity forums. 7. Cross Post. Cross-posting makes it difficult for users using the search function to find relevant information, and may be considered spam. 8. Ask for Likes. Likes are given to those for contributing useful information in a discussion. 9. Abuse reports. Reporting content with blank or inaccurate report descriptions will hinder a moderator's capacity to help. Please report content that is in violation of the rules, and not simply because you personally dislike another user. 10. Engage rule violators. You may accidentally violate these rules yourself by responding to others that you feel aren’t following these guidelines. 11. Make low-effort posts. Contribute useful information to the discussion, and avoid going off-topic. 12. Discuss Politics/Religion. These subjects are sensitive and may offend others. (There is a small place for fantasy politics within Identity's ecosystem. The Governor position will be able to tweak small settings within the game world, and must compete against others for power. The political systems within Identity are simplified and do not accurately reflect the processes involved with political discourse in the real world. Players may implicitly take inspiration from existing candidates or parties, but must not show any connections to real world politics through the use of logos/symbols, names (of existing leaders, existing parties, or of those within recent history), or slogans. By affiliating your party with a real world political faction, you are bringing such politics into discussion and grabbing the attention of those who recognize it. Real world politics typically invoke a strong emotional response in some viewers and can lead to vehement conflicts extremely quickly.) 13. Create multiple accounts. Only one account per person is authorized, so forum users can be easily identified. Avoiding a ban may result in further permanent action. 14. Operate a shared account. Sharing an account with another user will make conversation difficult should any of the account operators share a difference in opinion. Conflicting statements will impede our ability to help assist any single user on a shared account. Due to this, we request that each account is operated by a single, separate user. 15. Create forum posts that mention specific users in the title. Creating a new topic with the title specifically mentioning another user isn’t conducive to group discussion, especially if the targeted user isn’t comfortable responding in an open format. (For example, don’t make posts like “@usernamehere, why is x and not y?”) If you’re asking a question directly to another user, please do so using the inbox function on the forums. 16. Post Personal Information, or post links containing personal information. Sharing information about others can be harmful to their real-life. 17. Use forum features in unintended ways. Asking for likes, or making a game that incorporates the like/follow buttons artificially inflates user forum stats, making it difficult for other users to determine which content or user is contributing popular content to the site. 18. Discuss Moderator or Administrator actions Publicly. There are often reasons why a decision is made by a moderator or administrator that may be unclear to outside-parties, and off-topic discussion about an admin or moderator decision may be disruptive to a conversation. We politely ask that you trust and respect decisions made by staff. If you have an issue with a specific staff member, please report the matter to a Community Manager. 19. Impersonate Asylum Entertainment Staff or Moderators. When users seek assistance from moderators or Asylum staff, they shouldn't need to worry about encountering the possibility of dealing with an impostor. Always heed the official titles for staff roles on both the forums and discord to help avoid confusion. 20. Intentionally Spread False Information. Spreading rumors you know are falsified and portraying them as fact will only complicate Identity's development and serves to derail the actual constructive criticism offered by other users. Even accidentally giving out false information can be dangerous, so please ask a staff member or reference official statements (Dev Blogs for example). 21. Post or link to illegal, dangerous, offensive or NSFW content. Do not engage in activities that include (but are not limited to) the sharing of sexually explicit content, piracy, malicious code execution (viruses, malware, spyware etc.), gore. Please keep posts pertaining to the M-rated content in Identity reasonable. 22. Create or operate an account with the intention of solely boosting or supporting another user's reputation, poll votes, or opinions. We ask that all users contribute to the forums in ways that don't simply perpetuate someone else's particular viewpoint or account statistics. ***Moderators and staff have the final say on all matters. If you would like to report moderator abuse, contact a Community Manager directly. Creating public threads or posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions is not permitted.*** ***Freedom of speech rights do not extend to privately owned websites, such as this one.
