1 pointGreetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

1 pointBeginning of a new era Wow, what a month; busy and exciting and full of promise! While the developers have been hard at work getting the Town Square module ready to go, I've been preparing our new office space and interviewing potential Asylum developers. We've raised almost $800,000, allowing us to expand in a big way and bring on loads of new talent. Asylum Entertainment's new home If you read my last dev blog you'll remember that we had just scouted out office space and had narrowed our search to one. Now we have the keys and I've been working hard to get it operational. I never want to see another hex key again! It's almost hard to imagine that we've been working on Identity with a team spread out around the world. The talent of our small team has astonished me. It's exciting to consider how finally working in a formal setting is going to boost productivity. Not only is working in an office such as this going to make it easier to work together, but we've been on a hiring craze. Having sifted through hundreds of applications over the past few weeks and interviewing dozens of skilled individuals, we've selected most new developers to join our team. Our programming manpower is now three times stronger. Finally, after all this time we're now able to afford a full-time community manager. Joining our team at the new office location next week is Identity's community manager, Brandon! You'll be hearing from him very regulary. We're committing to keeping you in constant contact with the development team. Keep an eye on our website as well as social media! Town Square on the horizon! With our new studio starting up next week and the new programming talent coming on-board, our goal of the Town Square release is getting nearer. It's big news: the official Town Square release date will be announced in the month of October. With all of the changes affecting our productivity in such a positive way, we need to see how everyone works together over the next few weeks. This will allow us to give our fans a date with which we can be confident. We've got the Twitch We wanted to give you a glimpse of the game development process and have been streaming on Twitch to show you how it's done. Four hour (or more) long streams have gone live since my last dev blog; keep an eye on Identity's Twitter for future stream announcements. We try to have at least one development stream per week. As a fan of Identity, one of the things you're going to enjoy most is the flurry of videos which will be coming soon showing off the social features of the Town Square. For a simple social module, there's a good bit of fun things to do! New in the Town Square Our lead programmer, Henrik, has been hard at work these last couple of weeks refactoring our housing system to make it more stable and better performing for the Town Square module release. Everything's looking great at this point and he's very excited to get a bunch of new help over the next couple of weeks. With more great talent joining our art team, we're producing assets and new environments at an astonishing pace. Interiors we only hoped to have in Town Square by its release have gone from concept to reality very quickly. Last dev blog I showed you the concept art pieces produced for the police station. The police station was something we didn't expect to be available in the initial Town Square release, but with our art team hard at work we're getting a lot done. Below you'll find the lobby as it is in-game. The police station in Town Square will be a place for you to learn about the policing career, but it will also eventually feature a shooting range for you to test the weapon systems in Identity. Police station lobby in Town Square Our character and clothing team has also been adding a large variety of things to wear in the Town Square. Both clothing and accessories are being added all the time. Note the attention to detail and excellent quality of the clothing pieces in Identity. New sweater clothing What's to come In summary, we've been moving along with Identity's development at a great pace considering the size of our team; however, our team is growing in a big way right now. New developers are selected and some are starting at the new office as early as this coming week. Once the new guys have been oriented and we get an understanding of their work, we're going to be able to analyze the tasks remaining and give you a release date for Town Square. This is a big deal; Town Square isn't all that far off now and we're already preparing and planning for the next module: SWAT. I hoped to release a video showing combat systems already, but most the remaining work for that falls on myself as the other developers are busy with the real systems for Town Square. I've not had much time over these weeks from preparing the office, so that's on hold a bit; my priority is getting the Town Square module into your hands as soon as possible. Because we're getting further along now, and with the added manpower, we're going to soon start releasing small gameplay videos showing off the different aspects of Town Square. Finally, Brandon is joining Asylum as a dedicated full-time community manager! Brandon will be keeping you up to date constantly. Our silent days are soon to be over! -- John VanderZwet Deja Vu! (I've just been in the place before...) Salutations again! This time it's Brandon talking. John's been too busy to update the site, so I'm here to finally add the 10th Developer Blog to the corresponding section of the forums! You've most likely seen this update if you've been active in "The Town Square" section of the site, so I apologize for not having anything new to share in terms of screenshots or stuff like that. D: No need to get the pitchforks out though! I might have a few things to tide you guys over! (Please don't poke me aaa.) Charles (the game developer sitting beside me in the office) is currently in a skype call with another programmer on the team getting the 411 on the current build of Identity. They're walking through some stuff in regards to the Unreal Engine and talking about all sorts of things that are t o t a l l y beyond me. I took some java and C programming courses as electives when I was in University and MAN, I've had a newfound appreciation for coders ever since. I'll see if I can get some tangible information about the specifics of what Charles is working on after the call, because all I see is a mixture of math and player models! In other news, I've been hanging around in the discord, answering questions where I can and seeking advice from the higher-ups when I'm stumped. It's been going quite well actually! There seem to be a lot of fans enthusiastic about seeing more of the office, so I'm going to try and get a picture or two up on the @Identityrpg twitter. Charles has a 3 monitor setup that looks pretty sick, the lucky dog... Oh! Have I mentioned that there's a channel dedicated to posting small WIP models and other treats in the discord? It's #new_media! Check it out when you get a chance! The fiber internet for the office has also finally been installed! Like, completely! No more router issues or anything, I'm typing this up from a wired connection right now! With this, I should be able to join the stream later today so I can finally speak with the other developers. I'm very excited, and I hope to see some of you there! I don't think I'll actually be playing a game (I'm absolutely trash at most shooters but I swear I'm gunna train up for module two), but I'm very interested in getting my voice out there and meeting some of the developers that I haven't had a chance to speak with yet! Thanks for sticking around everyone! I'll get more information to you ASAP! Have a good one! -B

1 pointHello Identity World! My name is Gianni, a 25 year old 3D modeler and Interior designer. I am super excited to start my adventure in Identity. I haven’t decided what my career will be yet, but I am brainstorming. In real life I do 3D modeling and animation, so I may look into opening up an interior design business in identity. If I could do that, bringing your creative imagination of your business or Home to life would be satisfying and fulfilling. I purchased the $150 passport so that I can design my home to my hearts desire. Plus having a one bedroom is a better fit for me since I would want to throw parties and social gatherings. I’m hoping that I can switch my motorcycle to a car but at least I’ll have some type of transportation for the time being. I figure to invest in my characters home while at the same time support Asylum for their awesome efforts. I joined identity since 2016 but I’m new to the forums. So I would love to talk with you guys and look forward to meeting and seeing you in Identity! - Gianni

1 pointLately I've been loosing interest for Identity, mainly because I couldn't see any news really. It saddened me and I really didn't want to stop following the game.. But yeah. Today I decided to check on their twitter and on the forums. Goddamn. You guys are doing an amazing job! The office sneak peek and all the screens and streams.. Identity is in great shape. I'm sure to stick around now, I can't wait for a video or the town square module!
-
1 pointPlease use the search bar. The release date will be announced this month, not the game being released. It will not be beta, it will be 1 of 3 modules (stages of alpha).

1 pointKeep ya head up...it really hasn't been that long yet. I'll repeat this yet again...Identities planned scale, and the fact they added SpatialOS to expand players per server, is gonna take this game a while to get finished. I would hope atleast another 2 to 3 years before they release the full game. If they try to make a game that is multiple times more than what Gta V is, and they do it in less time than a triple-A company like rockstar, it wouldn't be the game I am hoping to play. Game development is a pretty well known process. It didn't start last night, yet on so many forums I see ppl whining about time, THAT has killed more games I bet, then actual developers trying to pull a scam. Let's take Rockstar for instance... They took how many years to release Gta V, a small game in comparison with the intended scale of Identity, and that was just to make it for 360 and ps3...It took another 1-2 years to make the ports for next gen consoles, then even a bit longer for PC. It's been 7 years since they released RDR and they just finally released a video for RDR2. 7 years! And even RDR2 is still not as big as Identity plans to be and it still ain't done, and won't be for atleast another year if not longer. How people are sitting here in forums asking way smaller developers to make their games, and expect it done in a fraction of the time it takes Triple-A to make a fraction of the game they have to make. If PC gamers wanna have better games than consoles that can push gaming to it's full potential then they have to support it. Do people not realize, that if you have a much smaller development team with little capital of their own, they can't make bigger and better games in a 1/4 of the time, with a fraction of the costs. Instead, they need help from their player base. Unfortunately Rockstar don't have to wait for funding, but then are making the game they want. They can make it for consoles which will affect how big the game is, then port to PC which will add things but not utilize pc's full potential like Identity plans to. Identity is literally planning on utilizing every little nook n cranny that PC can push. And they won't be able to do it without US! You got ppl throwing in $15-$30 and the like, and expecting what they say be taken into consideration because they "invested". Your not even paying them what the game is worth. Your being cheap and trying to help yourself by pretending to "invest" Your just pre-ordering the game...and for a pittance of what it's worth. Ppl like me that throw in more than $60 are invested...We didn't think about getting something amazing for cheap, we paid our due and threw in more to HELP. And it's fine that you wanna save money, but then don't act like you put so much risk in, and their lack of giving what you expect, gives you the right to call a Waaambulance. I mean if I was gonna complain about anything it would be, how come we throw in 6-10 times more more than people droppin $15-30$ and we get only a thousand more. I mean as big as this game is it wouldn't hurt the longevity in the slightest to give people a lil more. I mean it's only digital money (nothing). I'm fine with the apt and car, just a lil unhappy with the amount of digital money we get for the real money they got. That's my only gripe, and I never even mentioned it till now...It wasn't that big a deal, just woulda made ME feel more appreciated. That I have a right to an opinion to, not tellin them they aren't moving fast enough for my liking. Seriously the negative posts have probably scared away more money than the $15-$30 the whiners put up to "help". I've been on PC since only Feb/Mar and even I realize that PC games can't fulfill their potential if the investors (the gamers) want to pay the least amount possible for your games...more money to develop...more game. Less money to develop...lot less game to play, lower quality.

-
1 pointThey won't allow custom 3D models, atleast untill full release maybe after that they could decide or change their opinion and think about allowing it. (and think about a way to implement such thing) After all they started with modding etc. them selfs. But for now you could only work with their assets.

1 pointI want to open some sort of bussines, like delivery or Uber or something you know, if my knowledge in english language will let me to do so. But for the start I'll probably be a simple mechanic or driver. If I will get lucky with money income then maybe I'll start my collection, I'm not sure yet

1 pointLet me break it DOWN for you. Why would you wanna break it for him? Ok now let me see if I get this right... You jump from the same plane (repetitive), parachute down, albeit to different spots, to find guns. (repetitive) The same circle moves in bringing everyone closer together to bring the match to a conclusion (repetitive). Now there are plenty of elements about PubG that are repetitive. What changes is all the stuff in between...The plane takes different paths to let players jump out and go to different places to find guns. The circle starts at different places but always shrinks till nothing or someone wins first. You still go through different areas looking for weapons, no matter where you land. When it comes to me, I always have the absolute worst luck when it comes to finding weapons and supplies. I can search an entire apt complex and find less than a guy goes in one house and come out with 3 weapons with all attachments, meds, and all kinds of other goodies. The only thing consistant about PubG for me, is I spend more time searching and moving into the circle than having fun. PubG is probably one of the most repetitive games with very lil to it that is doin extremely well. Because people expect more, if it was just this and that's all we were getting. You can bet that eventually most will go to other things and it will have its dedicated player base that swear on map over and over, even though you land in different spots. It's just a big map and you do things in different areas around that map, depending on where you land...But you do the same exact thing every game. And people tend to usually stick to the same cheesey strategies as long as they benefit them. Like constantly goin for the AFK kills so they can pretend they are so awesome...Cause it really takes some set of skills to kill people just standing there. Or the people who will get to the center of a circle and kill people trying to cross the line. I've been killed by that damn line more than I have from ppl. Yea to kill people like that isn't cheesey in and of itself, but when that's ALL you can do...It gets...oh, what's that word....dare I say repetitive. People aren't looking to have a blast and play a game, they wanna "win" that chicken dinner...whatever that means. I think that is stupid btw. You get nothing for staying alive till the end, no digital nothings, nada. Every game is repetitive, all of them. It's how developers go about filling up the space in between that makes really good games. And PubG while a great mod and spin off game idea, they need alot more follow thru and execution if they wanna keep this momentum going. It seems to me that Identity is a mod spin off game as well from atlis life. The mod came from the idea of wanting to play a game like that. Whether the idea to make Identity came before or after the mod. It's almost the same thing as PubG in essence.

1 pointFor the last 6-ish or so months since I got my 1st gaming rig...I've noticed a trend of blaming consoles for the state of PC games. What??!! PC games are alot harder to optimize because of the billions, possibly trillions, of combinations of components making up different people's PC's. Consoles are all the same, for that generation, so they figure out how to tweak and get the most of every lil bit they can. It's alot harder to do that with everyone having completely different gaming PC's. I see alot of people say essentially "what's the least I can spend" for this that or the other. I also see alot of people complaining things are goin as they wish, for whatever reasons. Identity is one of those games that can truly set PC gaming apart from, and not be held back by consoles. I'm a 30+ year console player, when I seen Identity, I decided it was time to make the jump, 6 months later I had my 1st PC. Dropped a $250 pledge to do as much as I can to help bring this game to life. I surely did not have it to spare, but I want this game to BE! It's a risk, but if they pull it off this could be the game of all games. A triple AAA company would take YEARS to develop this. So if you want identity to really come to life, spread the word and pony up some dough for your PC games to start being "PC Games". PC is the one place where the gamers actually have a say, use that power. Help them get it done, save up if you have to, they need us to stand behind them, and show our support, this could literally be the next evolution of PC gaming. Probably not if everyone expects small developers to create these awesome games that are way better than console games, and get paid less for them than these Triple-A companies get for most console games. I never put $250 into a console game. But I have a feeling Identity could be a game changer. So I'll go the extra mile to help it get there. If I had more I would give it up in an instant. If we want PC games to be a step above console games, and still have things the way they are on PC. We need to help or PC games will never evolve like companies making games for consoles.

1 pointName: Lucious L. Times Appearance: Race/ethnicity/nationality: Panthera Leo Leo: The Barbary Lion Personality: Honest Able To Delegate. Extremely Extroverted...Open Book Humorous Confident Committed Positive Direct Charismatic...Charming Education: PhD. in Peace Studies, International Studies & Political Science Sexuality: Heterosexual Misc Facts: I'm a lion! Background: The Tale of Lucious Times Lucious Lee Times ( aka Malka) grew up on the Mountains nearest and the plains of Pride Rock along with his brother Simba and his father Mufasa. An outcast Lucious was due to his interest in the humans, and his desire to be like them. At least on his mother's side, the side of the Mountains. Lucious eventually left the prides to be homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In a city of crime Lucious had to be on the lookout at every turn. In Lucious' young life he grew to be very aware of the crime filled city and knew he had to do something to ensure his safety. At 15, Lucious started an organization with a few neighborhood boys called "The Peacekeepers". These boys were brutal. They cleaned the streets of crime in the most direct ways possible. Showing up to criminal hideouts and wasting away every member present, making fake visits to prisons and jails to poison and eliminate those criminals on the inside, making appointments with the LAPD to let THEM know how things would be done. The Peacekeepers were vigilantes at the finest. The city soon had a crime rate so low new schools were being built and more people migrated to the lovely city of Los Angeles. Through all the harsh deeds The Peacekeepers had done Lucious never was present for the actual action. He was the mastermind, the planner, the brain of the whole operation. Sitting behind a desk as leader of The Peacekeepers. Oh how things looked great! Lucious had made something out of nothing and became a city icon and hero as he grew older. Though soon, things made a turn for the worst. Lucious' closest partner, his beautiful fiance was capture by a man known by the name Gustavo Fring. A now well-known high profile methamphetamine drug lord. He did so because by cleaning up the city Lucious made distribution for Mr. Fring come to a complete stop in the area. Lucious grew furious, so furious he began to walk into a whole new light. The Peacekeepers became a weapon at Lucious' disposal. He thought long and hard and then finally had a plan. After finding where Fring was located Lucious and his team of over 200 men approached the location, guns loaded and ready for anything. However, Fring was already aware of Lucious' presence and decided to retaliate. Fring killed Lucious' fiance, then sent out total war upon Lucious and his men. In the end only two men were left standing; Fring and Lucious. After few words, Lucious caught leverage and killed Fring. Though Lucious was severely injured by gunshot. He called the LAPD. With quickness, Lucious was saved and had chance to speak with the LAPD Chief of Police. He thanked Lucious for his doings and after a long conversation of tears the chief left. Lucious began to realize how much he'd loss. All his men, his fiance, his hold on the city from crime all gone! Three weeks later Lucious walked out of the hospital, grab all $789,211 he'd raised with his people, and began to leave town for a new home. A place called Turtle Beach on Identity Island. However, when he got to the town line he found something waiting for him. Over half the city was standing their with gold-colored gold-scented candles. Some of them stood to give thanks, but many stood ready to follow him wherever he went. A woman by the name of Dorris Jean approached Lucious and told him this: "We give these candles to represent who you are to the city. Forever will you be the gold we all love, the gold we all know has provided, the gold we all know will pay the price. For to us you are a leader and friend. For you have become like royalty in this city. And with you royalty we be your royal family." Lucious was proud. All negative feelings previous washed away. Lucious now felt the obligation to continue to lead. For he knew he was wise and could give great leadership. This time he wouldn't limit himself to the leadership of a groups of boys who run a city, no. That was below him now. Now he needed to lead in higher heights where he could have greater impact and influence. A position of power such as Governor would do the trick! So he then decided to venture into the political field of leadership once he arrived in his new home. A few hours later after a celebratory evening Lucious and the now called Royal Family left. 12 days later they arrived in Turtle Beach on the Identity island and the rest is soon to be foretold...

-
1 pointWhat I think is that if you want to "pimp" your vehicle, you buy your pieces on internet or in a customisation shop (if it will exist) then you have two choices: - You pay the mechanic that he puts everything OR - You do it by yourself if you know/learned how to put everything (if you're a mechanic or have some "skills" in it)

1 pointHello citizens! I'm Motown, and I'm Identity's Community Manager, the person in charge of delivering all of your important ideas and messages to Identity's development team! What's special about my role here is that I'm not just your eyes and ears, I'm also one-half of the founding team for Identity! John Vanderzwet and I set out together to make Identity a reality, and have been involved in every aspect of Identity's development since the very start. That means, through me (and our volunteer moderator staff), you have direct access to the very top of our family tree, and we can influence the design and development of Identity together! You won't get that sort of treatment from many industry CM's! So, If you have ideas that you feel will expand and define Identity for years to come, let me know, and I will make sure it hits the right ears. What a relief it has been to know that so many people have been waiting for a game like Identity for so long. I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to be the liaison that will connect you with the world of Identity and the wonderful people who make it what it is! We strongly feel that we have a winning formula, and the deepest conviction that we may revolutionize the MMORPG genre with your support! We're going to do a lot of great things together, so it's only fair that you know a little bit about me first! My name is Sean, I'm 27 years old. My best friend is my boss and co-worker, John Vanderzet. I grew up all over the United States where I've developed the hyperactive, happy, and unbiased personality you will come to know me for! I call Ontario, Canada my temporary home while I work on Identity as your Community Manager, interim Art Director and 3D prop artist. I went to college for Video Game Design & Production, but my true passion is interacting with people! I've been a forum moderator for many large and well-known online gaming communities, including a default subreddit of 8 million subscribers on Reddit.com, a volunteer guide of the Followers of Asura in "Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures", an event organizer in "Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa" (Big RG fan btw!), the only English forum moderator of a German FPS called "Parabellum" (Google Translate ftw!), and forum moderator for "Planetside 1", "GamersFirst", "Mortal Online", and a few others I can't even remember, for varying lengths of time! Yep, I get around! But now it's time I get to know a little bit about you too. Create a new topic in this forum, and introduce yourself! We want to know exactly what personalities come out of the the deep, dark, depths of the internet to share our passion for Identity! But be nice!
