1 pointThere's never been a more exicting time for the Identity development team than right now. We're growing from a small team of passionate and skilled developers into a true studio with real development horsepower. Asylum Entertainment's New Home Identity is being produced by a very small team, although with our new office (see above) we're on a hiring craze and expanding in a big way. In fact, our programming team is going to be three times larger by the end of September. That's only the tip, too, as we're also bringing in a full-time dedicated community manager so that you get the regular updates from the team which you deserve. Our art team is also expanding with some of the most incredible talent in the industry. It pains us that Identity has seen delays; we truly want the game in your hands as soon as possible. With our modest team it's been a difficult road but, with the great help of yourself and other backers, it's full-steam ahead. Once we're situated in our new office (we get the keys in one week) and your new community manager is ready to go, it's our intention keep this great community in constant contact with the team! New in the Town Square If you've been watching closely on the IdentityRPG Twitch Channel, which is live for a Q&A with the developers every Tueday through Thursday, you've seen a lot of art these last few weeks. From concept art to screenshots and clothing, below are just a few of the pieces we've shown, plus something new for good measure. We're really pushing the development streams now, too. You'll be able to watch environment artist Antoine at work Wednesday, August 30 at 1PM EST. Moving forward, we're going to try to give you at least one development stream every single week. Watch Twitter for announcements. Town Square Clothing Store Remember the clothing store concept art we showed last month? This in-game screenshot shows how concept translates to reality (minus the actual clothing). Another new addition, ambiant radio, brings this scene to life. When you walk into this clothing store you'll notice music playing from the speakers. It's not just music in our game, either, it's real streaming radio playing songs you know. Different stores can now play ambiant music that matches their style and enhances immersive atmosphere. Ash Hill Police HQ Concept The Ash Hill police station will open it's doors in the Town Square module shortly after its release. Seen above is the concept for the lobby, locker room (where players "sign in" as an officer) and the shooting range. The shooting range will be available in the Town Square to give you a feel for weapons in Identity before you get your hands on the SWAT module. Ash Hill Barber Concept While a large variety of player customizations will be available during your initial character creation, some options are reserved for locations in the world. Barber shops, like the Ash Hill Barber you'll find in the Town Square shown above, will have additional hair options; other shops around the land will present different styles. Some rarer character customization options may be unlocked through gameplay achievements. A peak at pledge rewards Below are concept pieces of the pledge rewards you may already own. Our new website, almost ready to go, will bring new options while some of the existing will no longer be available. Pledge Reward Concepts -- John VanderZwet

1 pointNote: If you feel your party has been misrepresented, please forum mail me about the issue. All scores are subject to frequent changes as we clean things up, or add new policies to the various parties. Any party with a score 75% or above is eligible to join the CCU. The CCU provides these scores to help conservative minded votes pick their candidate or political party. It also gives them a brief overview of the other parties. Member Parties: none. please contact the chairman to join this coalition. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ LAST SCORE UPDATE: 4/11/2018 ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Lucious Times ~ CCU Score: 77% Against large social security + Pro-Capitalism + Against (direct) Income Tax + Supports Tort reform + Pro freedom of religion + Pro School choice + Pro large environmental restrictions on the private sector - Against gov. Healthcare + Pro U.N - Supports an Income tax - Supports Private Property + Pro 2nd Amendment + Pro free speech + DLIMIT (P.R.P) ~ CCU Score: 12% Supports restrictions on speech - Supports social security - Against capitalism - Supports 2nd Amendment + Supports income tax - Against privatized healthcare - Violates private property - Pro Communism - FrancePourLaVie (FRONT NATIONAL) ~ CCU Score: 92% Supports an Income tax - Supports a flat tax + Against large social security + Pro-Capitalism + Supports Tort reform + Pro 2nd Amendment + Pro freedom of religion + Against gov. Healthcare + Against the U.N + Supports Private Property + Against the Death Penalty + Pro free speech + FRIES ~ CCU Score: 0% Supports an income tax - Supports a minimum wage - Supports government run healthcare - Supports gun control - Freedom & Prosperity Party ~ CCU Score: 100% Supports 2nd Amendment + Supports free speech + Pro Capitalism + Pro 4th Amendment + Against the Income tax + Against gov. Healthcare + The Hamilton Party ~ CCU Score: 33% Supports government run healthcare - Pro Freedom of Religion + Supports an Income tax - (not enough public information on the issues we cover to have an accurate score: score will likely be updated soon, and is subject to change) Radical Democratic Left Party (RDLP) ~ CCU Score: 0% (Not enough public information / not a serious party) TTP ~ CCU Score: 0% (Not enough public information / not a serious party) Why should you join the CCU? The CCU is one of the oldest political organizations. We provide conservative parties with the resources they need to win, and the citizens, the resources they need to stay informed. As a candidate / party The reason a candidate would want to join the CCU is clear. Providing that you agree with the majority of our platform, you have a direct way to almost automatically get recognition by our members. If endorsed for office by the CCU, you automatically receive an advantage against others on the ballot, how? Because members of the CCU will likely vote for you, since you share the common goals of this political organization. As a citizen As a citizen it is hard to stay informed politically, the CCU aims to help you differentiate the candidates. Candidates endorsed by the CCU share the views of our platform. This means you automatically get to know a little bit about who you are voting for, helping you make an informed decision.

1 pointHello, Last time I have seen that people are getting pissed off. Right now the most of the questions are going about the release date and I see slowly that people are pissed off because of that. (Including me) This has got to STOP I'm just almost ready to quit the forums because of this. What does people matter? There is a F*cking search bar. Anyone got to say anything about it?

1 pointHave been following for some time now and finally jumped in with a $15 donation to start. I can already tell I'm going to geek out on that canvas painting thing. Is starving artist a career choice?
-
1 pointIs it worth the extra $30? It's all personal. No one can answer this for you, but you yourself. I've spend $250 because I believe in the (long-term) plans for Identity. Not because I wanted the fancy sports car included with that pledge level. I think the only thing worth it in any appropriate pledge is the housing. You OWN the studio or apartment. No paying rent required. You could always save up to buy a fancier means of transportation, but you cannot save up money you owe to rent every week / month. So if it were me, I'd focus on the living conditions first, and transportation later. But that's just me. It's your personal opinion that counts, not ours.
-
1 pointAbsolutely! A close alliance between our two parties is vital if we want to tackle gender inequality, LGBTQTI+ rights and many more social liberties!

1 pointThe website will look roughly the same, but it will be different anyhow with the store and pledges. Some pledges gone and some different things added also. The forum will be a bit different as in it will likely have more sections added to it. (The forum part is what I think and not confirmed). The new website should be out before the first module or just after and that is very close to being done, if not days, it will be a few weeks perhaps at most by the end of the year likely and not after. (My estimation and is in no way or form actual facts and is all my opinion.)

1 pointI want to make yet another post disclosing all of my personal and political views that way there are no in answered questions. Same Sex Marriage: I believe that love is a stronger bond than any other bond a human can have. That's why we cry when somebody that we love gets hurt. So if you find love no matter who it may be, please express yourself to that person. Taxes: I actually had a conversation with @Calico some time ago about how these taxes would work. He was also one of the main people to debate my healthcare act and eventually change my views on it. Taxing will be split into brackets of income. Lower, Middle and Upper Class Citizens will pay according to their annual income. I want fairness in the economy and no outcries. And if I see taxes need to be raised I'll try and work around it. Healthcare: As I said this was debated and I originally decided that free healthcare was the best course of action I could take. But with the taxes I set in place it would be extremely hard to maintain a good healthcare system based off of those taxes. So while you'll have to pay for it, it shouldn't be too much. Gun Control: I'll say this simple thing that hopefully get the point across. "A drivers license works in every state, so it's common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving-which is a privilege, not a right- then surly we can do that for concealed carry which is a right, not a privilege." Drug and Substance Control: This would be a hard question to answer simply because every server is different. We have different people doing different things at different times. I'm not aiming to make The Island a Utopian Community but a cleaner community. The Island's own version of the DEA will be handling most of that. Owned Businesses: Many other candidates stated that they will give up their businesses if elected and I can only follow in that example. It's only fair that I do so to simply make more time in focusing on the community. Player Owned Business: I had a question asked about a year ago I believe, they asked if I was going to allow investment take place for small businesses. And while I don't think this is something I fully control I would allow it only if the owners were willing to open their shares to the public. I really do hope that answered most of the questions. I'm basing these on memory and I'm sure there will be more questions at some point. But until then I'm Gene Smith, thank you all for reading.

1 pointok I was watching the identity stream today and saw the fire extinguisher modeling but I noticed a problem. at least in my 4 years of firefighting ive never seen a extinguisher, like that so I was wondering, does identity have people advising on the game? I know the game is meant to be based in the Georgia/Carolinas region and I'm ironically in myrtle beach which is the main tourist destination in those regions. so can I become a advisor for the fire side of things? I'm not wanting to be paid. I was injured on the job a few months ago and had ACL replacement surgery so I'm pretty much really bored until I go back in 8 months. any way to sum it up, IS THERE ANY WAY TO SEND A REQUEST TO JOIN THE IDENTITY TEAM? I saw under the asylum site page it shows careers but nothing about advisors, is there a way to apply for advisor?

1 pointThey update us with screenshots, dev streams and their gaming hour stream answering questions. Soon the new community manager will be hired and settled in to keep us in the loop more, like @YouKnowBro said. You have been here for 1/3 of the time the game being in development and so have not waited as long as some people within this community. Well you actually joined the forum after the devs communication started and so didn't wait with no communication. All I can say is, you have waited this long so far, there is no point giving up or not giving the devs that chance to prove themselves with more time as they have just hired more devs expanding their team which is where the development will start picking up quicker. I hope you stay and keep your hype for Identity, as it will be such a loss of time to giveup after waiting nearly a year.

1 pointWelcome! Honestly, I don't see any reason as to why there wouldn't be a possibility to make clips or movies in-game
-
1 pointThe Devs really need to start doing something to keep people in the loop, screen shots or something.. the only other game I am following is Chronicles of Elyria and they are putting out much more info on their game so my hype for that is a lot more than identity even though identity was the main thing I was looking forward to.
-
1 pointWell essentially there won't be any 'background music', however there will be radio music and radio talk shows (I hope so atleast). These will play a handfull of songs created by the playerbase. I also hope that they'll be able to have real-life songs in game -- I don't want to listen to XX_LAYLAYLAY_XX scream out of my speakers 24/7

1 point@FrancePourLaVie I wasn't expecting Marine Le Pen to be interested in this game

1 pointAm I the only person who thinks this deep? I am new to PC, since March, and since I jumped to PC Gaming, I've noticed alot of complaining about console games bringing down PC game quality, which is not true, mostly because consoles get their specs tweaked till they squeeze out every bit of performance they can. PC's on the other hand have so many components, and there's more coming out all the time. So it's longer process to optimize for games on so many parts. We get most games for $60 on console whether they are good or not, worth it or not. They are also made by Triple-A studios with hundreds or even thousands of employees working on 1 game. PC gamers have the unique opportunity to help these games that can really set PC gaming apart from console gaming. I hear alot of people bragging about how little they spent to get the game and/or modules. If you guys really want to see this game come to life... Think about the sheer scale they are attempting to make Identity, with a way smaller team than that which created Gta V, and I feel it's WAY more than 2x the game of Gta V. They are relying on the perspective players for support, they are gonna need millions of dollars to make this dream come true...I played on consoles for 30+ years. I bought a HEDT, just so I could play Identity. I dropped 250(money I set aside for some games when I got my rig) I pledged based on what I think its goin to need from people, based on sheer size. If we get lots of people to pledge 100 or higher this game will move alot faster...cause we ALL know money makes the world go round. It sucks but it does. I've also recently pledged 75 to another game that's in development. It's a much smaller game and doesn't require as much support as I believe Identity will. Unless they bring in outside help, then us gamers will lose alot of our power to help mold it, as whoever keeps the lights on usually gets their opinion heard. Right now they can truly make the game WE want them to make, but if they don't get the support they need from us, they will have no choice but to seek outside help and give ip alot of say to a new partner, or call it quits...So I say buy less junk food, or one or 2 less games, or don't buy those snazzy new kicks yet. Save up and help as much as you can to see it become real. Not as lil as possible so you can still get in on early beta and get the game. I think a game of this scale and what it can do for PC gaming and the MMORPG genre, deserves better than bare minimum, and it need more than that from us...but that's just me, and my 25 cents...

1 pointXbox One X is NOT a gaming PC. It is a gaming console, it might be a 4k console. But they are going to use budget parts, and spend the next 5-10 years optimizing it, so they can squeeze as much performance out of it as they can. If it was a gaming PC, it would look like my tower. Just cause consoles are finally getting 4k, just means those PC fanboy poser "console killers" will be obsolete, does not mean that consoles will be on par with PC's. Even 4k on console will not be as good as on PC, there just isnt enough pushing it. Some games, your just gonna have to pony up some dough and get a PC to play. I've been on console for more than 30 years, now that I'm finally here playing pc, even I realize some games deserve to be on PC and NOT console. Because console can't really do them justice. Arma III is one of those. Identity is definitely another. Consoles just couldnt handle it. Have people noticed how much extra stuff you can do from GTA V on 360 and PS3 to when they ported it to XB1 & PS4. Then all the extra mods when it was released to PC finally. It's kinda like stepping up. If they made consoles as powerful as PC's, they would be just as big, cost just as much, and wouldn't be consoles anymore. And if they tried making mini pc consoles they would charge a small forture. Look at how much phones cost now. Consoles are basically the middle ground equipment, then they spend the rest of that generation optimizing it as much as they can. Maybe when console companies put a mini gtx 1080 in them and more processing power. I mean you gotta give it to consoles game makers they can take a console and spend a fews years with it, and learn how to make games way better than it was at first, they just learn how to optimize everything better, and squeeze out all the performance. Just look at the difference between the 1st GTA released on PS 2 compared to San Andreas. For us it's different than it is for them, for them it's business. As long as money rules the world, as long as Console game makers getting mostly $60 for their games, and as long as ALOT of PC gamers wanna pay as lil as humanly possible for their games but still want them to outshine consoles so they have something to brag about...It won't ever change.

1 pointIm sorry to say but there won't be an FBI. However, you can still join the police force if that interests you. I do not know why you are still clinging to this idea of an FBI when it was confirmed to not be in the game. You could also start a bodyguard company of sorts i believe and protect the governor that way but you won't be allowed to delve into criminal cases as you would technically be a civilian still. Sorry if the truth hurts but you need to accept that.
-
1 pointYou can't just start your own fbi... Plus the FBI doesn't manage the security of private companies. Pls stop its so cringy.

1 pointHello Genesmith my good sir, I have recently posted a new "Union" so to speak for men and woman of only the utmost honor. You sir seem to be of the fitting category. The Platinum Club as we have come to calling it a prestigious formation of high class people on which the very foundation is built upon us, the rich, the famous, the leaders, and the powerful. Our goal is simple; to control and manipulate the production and distribution of high end goods and resources throughout the island of Identity, and of course to retain a healthy profit from doing so, as well as to increase our wealth and status or at least maintain it throughout the game world.. We are currently accepting CEO's of affluent businesses such as the one you own yourself, Celebrities, and of course political figures to hold sway over the commoners of Identity. You sir would make a stunning edition to the Platinum Club, and we would love to have you aboard. Please reply on this post or PM me if you would prefer if you would like any further details, or if you are interested in joining the club. More information can also be found on my post found in the business section of the forums. Cheers, Bob Ross, CEO of Bob Ross: Promoter of Fine Art, and Founder of The Platinum Club
