2 pointsThis game is not a subscription based game. You don't pay more than one time for the game, also it would stop people trying to rob the bank as they will have to pay money because of a game mechanic they want to get fun out of. This is a terrible idea in my opinion, but I can tell you, you will have the option for a permanent death to your character if you rent a server. This will be your choice but on official servers, that won't be the case.

1 pointGreetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

1 pointThere's never been a more exicting time for the Identity development team than right now. We're growing from a small team of passionate and skilled developers into a true studio with real development horsepower. Asylum Entertainment's New Home Identity is being produced by a very small team, although with our new office (see above) we're on a hiring craze and expanding in a big way. In fact, our programming team is going to be three times larger by the end of September. That's only the tip, too, as we're also bringing in a full-time dedicated community manager so that you get the regular updates from the team which you deserve. Our art team is also expanding with some of the most incredible talent in the industry. It pains us that Identity has seen delays; we truly want the game in your hands as soon as possible. With our modest team it's been a difficult road but, with the great help of yourself and other backers, it's full-steam ahead. Once we're situated in our new office (we get the keys in one week) and your new community manager is ready to go, it's our intention keep this great community in constant contact with the team! New in the Town Square If you've been watching closely on the IdentityRPG Twitch Channel, which is live for a Q&A with the developers every Tueday through Thursday, you've seen a lot of art these last few weeks. From concept art to screenshots and clothing, below are just a few of the pieces we've shown, plus something new for good measure. We're really pushing the development streams now, too. You'll be able to watch environment artist Antoine at work Wednesday, August 30 at 1PM EST. Moving forward, we're going to try to give you at least one development stream every single week. Watch Twitter for announcements. Town Square Clothing Store Remember the clothing store concept art we showed last month? This in-game screenshot shows how concept translates to reality (minus the actual clothing). Another new addition, ambiant radio, brings this scene to life. When you walk into this clothing store you'll notice music playing from the speakers. It's not just music in our game, either, it's real streaming radio playing songs you know. Different stores can now play ambiant music that matches their style and enhances immersive atmosphere. Ash Hill Police HQ Concept The Ash Hill police station will open it's doors in the Town Square module shortly after its release. Seen above is the concept for the lobby, locker room (where players "sign in" as an officer) and the shooting range. The shooting range will be available in the Town Square to give you a feel for weapons in Identity before you get your hands on the SWAT module. Ash Hill Barber Concept While a large variety of player customizations will be available during your initial character creation, some options are reserved for locations in the world. Barber shops, like the Ash Hill Barber you'll find in the Town Square shown above, will have additional hair options; other shops around the land will present different styles. Some rarer character customization options may be unlocked through gameplay achievements. A peak at pledge rewards Below are concept pieces of the pledge rewards you may already own. Our new website, almost ready to go, will bring new options while some of the existing will no longer be available. Pledge Reward Concepts -- John VanderZwet

1 pointI completely agree on this one, just don't make it so that some people are always catching a cold or so...
-
1 pointhello, anyone else who already played it? had a long break since the beta and well, except of some lags and annoying wheelbarrows it's a great game (my opinion). the maps are completely different, all guns have more variety than in battlefield 4 and i've always wanted to drive a mark 1. best (best doesn't mean realistic) first world war game i've ever played.

1 pointi think positive about Radar guns getting added in the final game but im not in the possition to say if it will be added or not. Maybe @LuckyDuck or @HairyGrenade knows more about that ( sry for tagging you Lucky and Hairy :c )

1 pointBasically think Dexter. But not limited to other serial killers. More like killing criminals of all kinds. My character has a god complex and his main goal is to rid the world of criminals through death.
-
1 pointYep pretty much, but this game is basically their arma 3 mod into a game, and they go in depth with alot of features, and have left AI to boring jobs they know people wouldnt want to play as (such as cashiers) so id be under the assumption that they wouldnt bother adding features that support those jobs so they leave it up to the roleplay to mimic jobs like that or prostitute, etc. But even though jobs like those would be left up to rp, you honestly cant sit there and tell me you can see someone who has no idea what that job entails, roleplaying it out via voice/text, or someone who knows what that job is, and doing it on a game. I understand why you put it there, to make it look more legitimate because its in the business, but its also a game

1 pointMark right hooks this one guy right in the back of the head Tweek watches his back kicking a few people back, to protect Mark. "Wheeew! this is the best mosh pit ever!" Mark says as he kicks some guy square in the balls. "HELL YEA!" Tweek Says and then gets punched in the face but comes back swinging toward the one who hit him. The Band keeps playing White mask throws up the devil horns and head bangs. Two of the white mask's guards come up to him telling him it time to go. White mask turns around lowers his head disappointed.. The door from the top floor balcony swings open as a few members from the crowd thought it was smart to take on the white mask to stop this madness. White Mask doesn't skip a beat as he reaches down to his thigh holster where his glock is pulls it out and pops the Ring leader of the bunch. White Mask's guards known as the 'Watchers' now draw their weapons and aim at the rest of the people shooting them where they stand. Then move over to the door and close it placing the dead bodies in front of the door so it was a little bit harder to open. Meanwhile back into the gladiators pit Mark and Tweek fight their way to the gun with the one bullet. Mark cocks the glock back and starts to point at people. "Move or I will kill you!" Mark says as Tweek watches his back swinging at people to keep them back. White Mask notices that someone has the gun, and starts to clap he then points to his guards and then to the crowd. "Can you guys take out a few..so they know I mean business." The two Watchers draw their rifles and pulling the triggers just mowing down a few people from the crowd. Funny thing is that the band sees whats going on and are done with this shit so they get off stage quickly. The man in the White Mask taps them on the shoulder to make them stop, since time was ticking down and he wanted to see them fight of course. Mark see the guy with the machete just going to town on the crowd. blood, spit and ass going everywhere around him as that clown was just hacking away. Mark points his gun right at the guy with the machete and pulls the trigger. *BAM* The guy drops Tweek run from behind Mark and grabs the machete. Mark turns the gun around and starts using it as a hammer just beating the crap out of people with the pistol grip and then Tweek would come by and stab, hack, cut whoever he knocked out that wasn't dead. Time clicked down to one minute left. Tweek and Mark stood alone, their bodies covered in blood. Mark starts to laugh and then so does Tweek they both look up at White Mask giving him the horns. "FUCK YEA WHITE MASK!" Mark says. White Mask nods to them and then points to the clock on the bomb, As he steps back from the balcony so they can't see him. Mark looks to the clock and then to his pistol hammer now then back to Tweek. Tweek wasn't paying attention he was just breathing heavily covered in blood. Mark looked back at the clock then to week again. "Sorry Bro Only one will live!" Mark swing his gun towards Tweek's head knocking him down. He smirks and kicks Tweek to make sure he is dead..Mark makes his way over to the locked door. Well he is dragging ass since he just fought off an army of concert goers. Mark places his hand on the door handle.. "Hey Mark!?" Mark slowly turns around seeing Tweek with the camera. "I an't know side kick"! Tweek raises the camera up and just knocks Mark across the face with camera and the starts to beat the shit out of him with the camera. "Here is your close up Bitch!" Tweek says bashing his camera into Marks face. *DING DING DING* Tweek stops standing over Mark and looks up at the bomb..as it strikes zero...Tweek sighs "Fuck" He lowers his head as a small explosion is heard coming from the old school looking bomb. Tweeks eyes flutter as confetti rains down on the concert full of dead people and Tweek. *Clap Clap Clap Clap* The man in the white mask comes back into view from the balcony. "Congratulation you win! You live, and you did what your told..and for that I give you this." He points to the bomb again as it falls to the ground shattering on the bodies and the floor. Tweek looks towards the bomb and raises an eyebrow. He the wipes the blood from his face and smiles. Tweek bends down grabbing the machete and then walks over to the bomb. He leans down once again grabbing the rope that is attached to a pallet full of money..I would say like maybe a Million million and half..something like that on the small pallet. Tweek nods turns around and swings the rope around his should to starts to drag the money pallet towards the door. Tweek kicks the door open as it seems it was unlocked. White Mask eyes narrow wondering if his Watchers locked the door like they were told too. This made white mask a little upset. He turns around grabs the glock from one of the two Watchers holsters and with a quick draw point blank shot he pulls the trigger on to the Watcher. *BAM* quickly turns to the other guard. *BAM* in a swift quick motion the man in the white mask drops both of his Watchers men. He shakes his head and heads towards the roof. "Can't get any good help these days I swear.." He laughs walking out. Tweek pulls the money out from the warehouse dragging it leaving a blood line from the warehouse to his car. Where he would pack the money up and leave.

1 pointIn the past few days.. even weeks i see more of the "older" Community Members getting more and more salty in the way they talk to other Community Members. I dont think this should be tolerated. Everyone is a Human in this Forum and i realy think we can talk to each other without using any insults no matter in which way or for what reason. I personaly dont want to see this Community slowly but surely turning into a Saltmine. If you feel angry and you cant answer someones Idea or Question friendly, dont even type anything. Just keep everything to yourself and dont make someones day worse than it maybe already is. I dont want to name anyone and therefore i wont give any examples. If you feel addressed maybe check everything you posted in the last few days and maybe you have to apologize to someone. And now all look at this little Bunny and be happy

1 pointKevin watches as Marco runs inside. "What the fuck is going on" He looks over the alleyway quickly, and satisfied he sees no cameras, Kevin quickly checks the handgun given to him. Satisfied, he stuffs it in his jeans waistband, pulling the back of his plaid jacket over it. Kevin then tosses the balaclava and heads around to the front of the store, pulling his hat down low, and his coat collar high. Kevin spots a man step out of a Mustang, and heads over towards him. Just as the two men are about to pass, Kevin pretends to trip and fall into the other man. "What the hell man, watch where you're going" "Shit, sorry man" The two men head their own ways, and once Kevin is certain he is a good distance away, he pulls the man's keys out of his pocket and heads over to the Mustang. Kevin gets in the car, starts it, and heads in front of the 7-Eleven, where he waits for Marco. "Who the fuck does this guy think he is, dressing like that and hitting a fucking convenience store. What the hell am I getting myself into" While sitting, Kevin sends a text to a close friend to come and tow his car from the alleyway.

1 pointThis month in development Another month and another dev blog to keep you updated! I want to start this one by giving a thank you to everyone who's receiving this blog post by email, our backers who are making Identity a reality. It's an exciting time as our team is growing and our pace quickening as a result. Identity's beginning to get more exposure and every pledge we receive helps us produce content faster. It's been slower than we'd like in the past because our team has been tiny, but this growth we're seeing as of late has been opening doors and propelling us forward. As of this month we've now raised over $700,000 USD; a large amount of money and what we've needed to bring on more talent. Talent we've lost to other studios and existing contracts in the past, some of our absolute best, is now returning to Asylum Entertainment to work on Identity full-time. We're really looking forward to the work from those being added to our roster, which will result in more clothing options as well as much prettier environments. We're also looking to pick up another programmer and a new community manager very shortly, to improve our PR situation and give you guys a more transparent view into development. Case variations for one of three phones in Identity With our art team growing with top industry talent, we're also making some good progress in content programming. Our elevator system has been finalized after being re-hashed. This elevator system is used in the Town Square, and throughout Identity where apartments exist, to bring players up to their lofted homes. The interesting part is these function like real elevators, and you'll see other players in them going to and from their floors. They act as loading zones, so instead breaking your immersion with a loading screen we load the apartment and it's customizations in the background while you ride the elevator. By the time the door opens everything's in place and you don't even notice that you've moved into a special instance of the world. Art of the Town Square When creating new environments, we first have our concept artist draw up a layout and artistic design. From there, environment artists create the 3D assets from that piece and a level designer places them in the world you inhabit. We're pleased to have our incredibly talented concept artist, Alexander, back in full-swing as we prepare the final pieces of environment necessary for the Town Square. Clothing store concept; hotel and art gallery in rear The clothing store is interesting in Town Square because it's operating on a system we've created for many computer-controlled shops in Identity. It has a fully functioning shoplifting mechanic. In most games you walk up to an NPC (non-player character) and interact to purchase items. You then simply walk away with your items. Stores in Identity are a different story, and are unique in the gaming world. You'll add items from racks and shelves to your cart. You can then walk into the dressing room to preview those items (assuming it's clothing) or walk up to the register to pay. What if you don't pay and simply walk out the door with your cart? Shoplifting is a reality in Identity, although it's often not recommended. If you're not skilled, and most people won't be, you'll set off alarms and have a hard time getting away. You'll likely spend time in jail for the attempt. Expensive items can also not be shoplifted for game balance purposes. Even something so simple as using a shop gives freedom and oppportunity not found in any game before. Last month we showed you a bicycle which will be ridable in Identity. Below you'll see the bicycle shop concepts for the Town Square. While you won't be able to ride them in Town Square, you'll be able to browse many options which will be available to you. Bicycle shop concept for the Ash Hill town square These final two interiors are being created by our artists as we speak, and are the last environments required for Town Square's release, along with some minor systems programming and polish. Art gallery/library concept art, previously shown Art gallery and library in-game, without player art The near future One of our top priorities right now is to give all of you who have been waiting a glimpse of real gameplay in a video. Identity's funding and progress has exploded since we showed you the workings of the housing and apartment systems on YouTube, and now we want you to see vehicles, drug production and weapon systems. I can't promise any dates on this video, but it'll be soon. In fact, I expect you to watch this video before you receive the next dev blog. This coming video is sort of a catalyst, and I can't wait to show you what's in store after it. The Town Square is also getting near the point where we're going to be able to start showing off videos of the gameplay elements you'll find within it, leading up to the public release of the module. These videos will be coming after the previously mentioned video. We do regret how little we've been able to show you thus far. We're a tiny team stretching a small budget to its limits, so things take some time. Now that much of the core exists and other supporting pieces are falling into place, I'm excited that we're now really making progress that can be witnessed. -- John VanderZwet

1 pointLoose modules. Not a crazy Japanese toilet setup. (edit: yes the toilet paper is rolled the right way AND please add the option to freely change the direction at other people's apartments when visiting, just for the lulz)
-
1 pointAlso the stress system that would be a good factor to have the killer be nervous space out his outings, all could factor in
-
1 pointSee the thing about a Serial Killer and why I think it could be really interesting is this. If they're role playing as a serial killer they should never put that anywhere in their Bio. hell they should straight up lie outright in any bio's they make, The character they portray is just that a character. So in game you could have your character be Johnny Busdriver right. spend the game being friendly. driving your bus. making friends role playing your ass off. But...some nights you take yourself away from your friends, your family, your day to day. you go to a different town, you dress completely different you get your hair done or dyed temporarily. You act how you don't act "at home" you meet people out and about, you gain their trust. maybe you have a spot outside of town. you get them drunk or high )however those systems in game work_ and you take advantage tying them up, trapping them away from home, they don't really know you, don't know your face, the voice you're using now is completely fake till you get them alone. And it's still different from the voice you use "at home" yourself. You take your time you finish them off at your leisure. maybe it's a few "days" in game later of you actively RPing with this person. If you did it well the "Victim" could have just as enjoyable an experience as the killer. then the victim is killed. you dump the body or evidence (which I really hope is somehow in the game. so your hideaway isn't just a blinking murder scene to the cops) and the police find the evidence. A case for them to inspect. They never find you. it goes cold in the months as Johnny Busdriver has BBQs with his buddies back home. Till a few months later when a new case pops up for the cops in a different town, or the same town who knows. I don't know the killers M.O There's a LOT you could do with a serial killer character. I've never once thought of it as just an excuse to RDM. I mean really. why would a killer even use a gun? it's not personal enough for them usually. Just imagine after months of real time of the cops not finding this killer. In game years can pass and his list goes up. the killer gets braver leaves notes, enjoys hearing about himself on the player run radio shows all types of things. Then imagine the cops thinking they found the person and a big uproar happens. But ti's not the guy. It'd be the OJ trial from back in the 90s big following. strong RP. make use of reporter characters, judges, politicians would go nuts trying to spin the capture and imprisonment to their name. But then imagine if they put away a guy and the killings keep happening. In a strong RP server a character could be in Jail for a long time in game. is it a copycat? did they get the wrong guy? Fun times.

1 pointAgree with @TheNerdyChef and @JagjeetEpic. @Trafa, I think you're the only one who doesn't even care about upcoming features for the game in general. Why even be that negative? If you doesn't like what's being posted, then don't look at it, and definetely don't comment on it.
-
1 pointWe want information about the game in general, every single content they deliver is amazing to see. We already know most of town square. I don't see why you would be so negative. I am a super brain, thanks for mentioning that. I'm fine with having an arguement, no problem. But please, try to make it a good one. Don't wanna waste my valuable time!

1 pointHello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!
