4 pointsThat's very unfortunate but don't be too regretful, after all, this is just a game and real life comes first. I hope you are able to resolve the issue whatever if may be. Good luck!
-
2 pointsYou forgot the most important bit, you won't be able to own a server until the game has fully been released.
-
2 pointsYou can edit the quote all you want, the point remains. There is NO FBI, you will still not be recognized as a task force, and you WILL get arrested for interfering with police business. I wonder how much clearer I can make this? Being FBI might be one of your wet dreams for all I know, the fact remains: you won't be indulging in FBI matters in Identity. It's better for you to accept this now.

1 pointGreetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

1 pointWhat We Do? Our job at the IIA is to work across multiple servers and gather information about thieves, drug dealers, contract killers, members of illegal groups, gangs, mafias and crime families and many more. As you see from the Hideout section of the Identity forums there are many different gangs and mafias, so we will need all the help we can get to shut them all down. The main difference between us and the police is that we don’t have to follow the law like they do, we can raid properties at anytime and stop whatever illegal activities are going on in there. Although that would make us criminals I’m sure that every citizen would want the same to happen to the drug dealers and murderers of Identity. To sum it all up, we keep gather info about criminals and either give it to the actual police force or handle them or selves. We will know everything about a criminal before raiding his property and turning them in. Where will our money come from? Our money will mainly come from raiding properties that have a lot of cash on them or by taking their drugs and if we can turn them in for a cash award. We will also put well-trained bodyguards up for hire and try to get them hired by the biggest or richest business on the servers we are setup on. Although this will be our biggest problem, I’m sure we will figure out what to do near the full release of the game. Available Jobs Salary will come later on near full release. Director Of The IIA: Overlooks operations, hires new people, decides on what criminal/group/gang/mafia/family to go after. Clearance level 4. Operator: (0/3) The operators organise the files and takes the info that a Special Agent gathers to put it in the right files. They can give Special Agents a target to spy on. Clearance level 3. Classified: Classified job. Clearance level unknown. Special Agent: (0/8): Spies and gathers information on criminals or criminal properties and reports it to an operator. Goes on classified missions. Clearance level 2. Strategic Raid Unit: (0/6): Deployed by the Director to raid a property and take out the criminals inside. Must have very good infiltration skills and trigger skill, you must also be able to work with your teammates. Clearance level 1. Bodyguards: (0/5): Assigned by the Director to protect VIPs. Must be good working with a team and average gun skill. Clearance level 0.

1 pointI was wondering if sports will be an option for a career. Like could a person play football, futbol, tennis, lacrosse, etc. I think this would be a great idea allowing players to become sports stars along with sport announcers. They could have stadiums and whatnot. I would love for this to be a thing. :)\ -VaxJezus

1 pointIntroduction: What's up identity community!? My real is Jacob, but you guy's can call me that or HAWK (my username). I've been around dozens of role play communities and had the pleasure of meeting so many people. The reason why I'm here, which is most likely the same reason why everyone is here is for the Identity game. This game caught my eyes ages ago back in 2016 and I've watched the game grow through the dev blogs. It took me until now to actually buy the game and make an account on the forums to introduce myself, lol. Gaming: So "what's my experience with role play games?" you may ask. Well, I've spent 1250 hours on Arma 3 (yes a lot of hours, lol) about 900 hours of which was devoted to Arma life and Altis life servers. I belonged to the ANR community which was a very famous one for some time before it disbanded. Since then I've joined tons of other communities mostly playing as a Police Officer. Just last year I had my own server with a great group of people, but had to shut it down due to work and school. As of now I'm planning on opening another server for Identity and bringing the same realistic guidelines that arma has taught me with it. I'm also the creator of one of the biggest Law Enforcement related scenario for Arma 3 called City Cop Life. As well as arma 3 I have 839 hours on G-Mod which about 800 hours were on role play servers too. I've been a Community manager on one of fastest growing role play commmunities for Star Wars RP and Fallout RP servers. So it's safe to say I have plenty of experience with role play. Life: My goal right now is to keep going to school and eventually become a police officer once I graduate college.. I have a lot experience with Law Enforcement and can't wait to share it. Other: I can't wait for the first module to come out so I can join the rest of you and have a bunch of fun. What part of Identity are you guy's craving for them to give more info about?

1 pointHi! I discovered this game about two days ago and it really has me intrigued. I have become a founder today and i am looking forward to playing the game. Not quite sure what i want to do yet but it looks like i will have plenty of things to choose from. If anyone can link some helpful reads on in-game content i would appreciate it. I am only getting free time as i write this to have a look for a few hours. Milamber

1 pointThis is just an idea that i think it would be cool to implement in the future to create more diverse characters. The basic concept is to provide the players with a set of front/back/sides hair pieces they can combine to create their own hairstyle. I will add some pictures to illustrate the concept. Please take into account i used already made art (females:Pichichama // males: PrinceOfRedRoses) so your ideal hairstyle could not be represented.

1 pointUnfortunately, due to financial issues incurred from legal issues with my state, i am going to be asking for a refund on 9-1-17. Although i should probably be asking for a refund now, i donated quite a bit, i full heartily support this project and have decided to give them till the end of the month to possibly release as we all know they are very close. It makes me very sad to have to do this and i am very disappointing that i will not be able to meet you all in T.S. I was so looking forward to it. Maybe in the future, when my issues are resolved, i will see you all in Identity. sincerely yours, DadOfMad

1 pointIm sorry to say but there won't be an FBI. However, you can still join the police force if that interests you. I do not know why you are still clinging to this idea of an FBI when it was confirmed to not be in the game. You could also start a bodyguard company of sorts i believe and protect the governor that way but you won't be allowed to delve into criminal cases as you would technically be a civilian still. Sorry if the truth hurts but you need to accept that.

1 pointWith an attitude like that? I'm surprised they would even "Let" you in the force... Then again... You guys are predictable like that... Second... If "We" are already "Flagged" for arrest (Which is freaking obvious, we murder people... There's A law for that... Right? XD) We will already have everyone on "Us". It doesn't mean "We" are going to make it easy for you... You might be coming for "Us"... But Esoterica can never be captured... It's simply No one... (My god! Plot twist! ) So have Fun finding "Us"! Have even more Fun finding "It". [In a more serious note and "Non-Rp" related. It's not like we want to kill any cop by any means! Any smart, professional criminal will try to avoid it. But certain individuals that go "Snooping" around. Don't be surprised that you will be "Taken care" of first. The Smarter cops will try not to make A "Scene" out of it like you are doing right now. Do you know how unprofessional you sound also? Just saying... But if you are wise enough to read this, it might help you in-game. Especially with "Us" ]

1 pointIt's a choice the developers made for those reasons and perhaps other reasons they haven't mentioned. So this is how it's going to be. Having a training is not the issue here. The things you propose @mjrekich could work, for sure, but it still doesn't change the fact the island is just too small for it. I've noticed the users are about 50/50 on this, if you'd check previous (older) polls. I do like helicopters and airplanes myself. I really do. But I'd prefer not to see them in Identity. They wouldn't feel right here. And if I really wanted to fly, I'd pick and play any other game with the ability to do so.
-
1 pointSad to see you go. As others have said, real life should always come first. Let's hope then they release before the end of the month, but as we both know, that's a long shot. But I do hope so myself. Hope you'll be back in time for the full game then!
-
1 pointOkay, so I see there is a lot of hate for aircraft for lack of depth. I understand that most people are afraid of everyone flying helicopters from point A to B and ruining that meeting instance. Here is my opposition to this. I am currently going for my pilots license and ITS REALLY REALLY DIFFICULT! Seriously, just to fly a small aircraft has costed me over $10k and I still have to get it. So my thought on this would be if the activity was costly and time consuming where it might not seem worthy to most people. Also, the govt, police, etc. could hire air traffic controllers that see all aircraft in the air except at low altitudes (similar to GTA), but have access on a radio frequency to each aircraft. Also, there can be no illegal aircraft. Unregistered aircraft is a major offense, unless it's an experimental used for test flights in the USA. So air traffic would be able to recognize who has each aircraft. It would eliminate everyone having an aircraft. May I suggest a pilot school along with about 2 hours of flight time in a training aircraft that is monitored for collisions and location. If it was used for illegal activities, it would be easy to find. Heck, I'd personally teach the pilots myself
-
1 pointThere is no president, and the FBI is not the chief of police. You are probably the 10th person with the grand delusion you will be able to be FBI. NO YOU WON'T! You will not get recognized as a real force. You will get warrants on YOUR name and you WILL get arrested.
-
1 pointWell, I finally decided to pledge with a $30.00 donation and I am psyched to see this module when it comes out!! I've been following this game since it came into concept and last year decided to finally sign up and keep up to date on things. Can't wait!!

1 pointThis month in development Another month and another dev blog to keep you updated! I want to start this one by giving a thank you to everyone who's receiving this blog post by email, our backers who are making Identity a reality. It's an exciting time as our team is growing and our pace quickening as a result. Identity's beginning to get more exposure and every pledge we receive helps us produce content faster. It's been slower than we'd like in the past because our team has been tiny, but this growth we're seeing as of late has been opening doors and propelling us forward. As of this month we've now raised over $700,000 USD; a large amount of money and what we've needed to bring on more talent. Talent we've lost to other studios and existing contracts in the past, some of our absolute best, is now returning to Asylum Entertainment to work on Identity full-time. We're really looking forward to the work from those being added to our roster, which will result in more clothing options as well as much prettier environments. We're also looking to pick up another programmer and a new community manager very shortly, to improve our PR situation and give you guys a more transparent view into development. Case variations for one of three phones in Identity With our art team growing with top industry talent, we're also making some good progress in content programming. Our elevator system has been finalized after being re-hashed. This elevator system is used in the Town Square, and throughout Identity where apartments exist, to bring players up to their lofted homes. The interesting part is these function like real elevators, and you'll see other players in them going to and from their floors. They act as loading zones, so instead breaking your immersion with a loading screen we load the apartment and it's customizations in the background while you ride the elevator. By the time the door opens everything's in place and you don't even notice that you've moved into a special instance of the world. Art of the Town Square When creating new environments, we first have our concept artist draw up a layout and artistic design. From there, environment artists create the 3D assets from that piece and a level designer places them in the world you inhabit. We're pleased to have our incredibly talented concept artist, Alexander, back in full-swing as we prepare the final pieces of environment necessary for the Town Square. Clothing store concept; hotel and art gallery in rear The clothing store is interesting in Town Square because it's operating on a system we've created for many computer-controlled shops in Identity. It has a fully functioning shoplifting mechanic. In most games you walk up to an NPC (non-player character) and interact to purchase items. You then simply walk away with your items. Stores in Identity are a different story, and are unique in the gaming world. You'll add items from racks and shelves to your cart. You can then walk into the dressing room to preview those items (assuming it's clothing) or walk up to the register to pay. What if you don't pay and simply walk out the door with your cart? Shoplifting is a reality in Identity, although it's often not recommended. If you're not skilled, and most people won't be, you'll set off alarms and have a hard time getting away. You'll likely spend time in jail for the attempt. Expensive items can also not be shoplifted for game balance purposes. Even something so simple as using a shop gives freedom and oppportunity not found in any game before. Last month we showed you a bicycle which will be ridable in Identity. Below you'll see the bicycle shop concepts for the Town Square. While you won't be able to ride them in Town Square, you'll be able to browse many options which will be available to you. Bicycle shop concept for the Ash Hill town square These final two interiors are being created by our artists as we speak, and are the last environments required for Town Square's release, along with some minor systems programming and polish. Art gallery/library concept art, previously shown Art gallery and library in-game, without player art The near future One of our top priorities right now is to give all of you who have been waiting a glimpse of real gameplay in a video. Identity's funding and progress has exploded since we showed you the workings of the housing and apartment systems on YouTube, and now we want you to see vehicles, drug production and weapon systems. I can't promise any dates on this video, but it'll be soon. In fact, I expect you to watch this video before you receive the next dev blog. This coming video is sort of a catalyst, and I can't wait to show you what's in store after it. The Town Square is also getting near the point where we're going to be able to start showing off videos of the gameplay elements you'll find within it, leading up to the public release of the module. These videos will be coming after the previously mentioned video. We do regret how little we've been able to show you thus far. We're a tiny team stretching a small budget to its limits, so things take some time. Now that much of the core exists and other supporting pieces are falling into place, I'm excited that we're now really making progress that can be witnessed. -- John VanderZwet Let's Make Identity Great! Identity's development is going great thanks to the support of people like you, but systems like these take a lot of manpower and resources to create. Identity has an awesome community behind it, but when more people know about what we're creating and our budget grows from pledges, we can not only work faster but we can do more, too. If you're as excited to play Identity as we are making it, help spread the word. The gaming industry has needed a game like Identity for too long; let's make it great together!

1 pointWhat I would like to see added to Identity is, Accessibility for the Visually Impaired. The reason I suggest it is that I am partially sighted and it would be great if the dev added magnification to the in games computer and phone. I understand if this is to much of a challenge, I mean he's still got to sort out off all the regular gameplay but there aren't any visually impaired games that I an access and play, and this game looks so amazing that I really want to play it, but without the magnification feature I will be restricted to what I would do for example, say I wanted to start up a business on the computer or go and buy some clothes or food on the computer I wouldn't be able to do that. the dev said he wanted to make this game a realistic as possible, without this feature I would have to try and use some out off games apps to help me or not play the game at all. Like I said this may sound a big challenging since th dev has to sort out all of the regular gameplay but still if he did this one it would make my life amazing and two he would have overcome a major obstacle.

1 point"Move in move in." DEA agents move into the build. Simms see the three guys running in the back with bags of money. "Shit they are moving to the back. Go go go...FREEZE!" two the DEA agents run after the heist guys from the back. Simms points to his other DEA to clear the area. Simms starts to check the doors and then see a blood trail. He slowly moves with his gun up and follows the blood trail that leads to a door. Blood all over the door handle and door. Simms stacks up on the door and kicks the door wide open. The door swings open he see the man in the white mask dressed up all in white sitting at the desk across from him hold a shotgun pointed to the door. With out a beat Simms opens up fire hitting the man in the white mask sitting the chair with a 3 round burst to the chest. "Holy shit..." Simms looks down and see the Bank security guard on the ground slowly moving. "Hey buddy you ok!?!?" Swings his M4 to his back and kneels over the guard seeing that he is bleeding from his gut, puts pressure on his wound. "Hey buddy you will be ok! Mark call wagon we got a down officer here! " he yells as the power in the whole city turns back on and the bank alarms starts to go off. The other DEA agents that went after the heist guys come running back in saying that they did not catch them. one of the agents gets on his radio since the power is back on and starts calling for an ambulance. 10 to 15 minutes later the ambulance drives up to the bank and quickly goes to work on the down security guard getting him prep for the ride to the hospital. Simms looks at his other agents and shakes his head.."Its not over yet...guys now we have a Heist team to go after.." looks at his watch seeing that the sun is about to come up. "Well lets get to work we have to find them..now that the man in white mask is dead we can work on some real criminals. (Thanks for @UnknownX for letting me put him in my Season 1 final script. I have a feeling that I did not kill him....seems to easy.... Can't wait for Season 2!)

1 pointExactly, subscription.... No thank you. Also The developers can only put a age rating on the game and then it is out of their hands for stopping kids. Kids will bypass the age rating because really the parents could allow them to play/ buy it and really it is not stopping them from doing that as they have consent. Subscription would be worse because kids could use their parents card and they might not even realise their kid is spending each month on it. Kids will be in the game regardless of subscription or not; regardless of age rating or not. When you was a kid did you guys play a 18+ game? I did it, so the best way for you to remove kids from the game for you is white-list your server and have a age rating. Not all kids are immature and some you can find more mature than some adults.

1 pointI'm sure with research from the dev's, they can accomplish this! The game is promoting it's self "Without Restrictions/Limitations". But it's also A Video game, so there will be at least some form of Limit to how/when to use it, depending if it doesn't get abused by players. So, I think A cool idea to solve this is limit it to A 'Trusted rank' when pursuing into the Police Career. This Rank of course is earned by recognition by not only how the game see's how hard the player works, but also has to gain reputation with other players as well! (Kinda like A Emote system that would grant you Reputation with you fellow colleagues.) This can be performed by other players with actual Emotes, or using the computer or smartphone to send A message of Recommendations so this player can be promoted. Now where the spike strips come in, I'm assuming it will be unlocked by this certain rank. It will also be set with the type of Vehicle that is unlocked with that. (Being A special Police Country Van or something...?) It will have 1 track of spikes (To limit exploitation) in the back of the van, and the person who owns it can set it out within reason. (Such as given an order by the sheriff or if it's necessary for the pursuit.) Animations and hitboxes will have to be considered but shouldn't be insanely difficult (Then again, I could be terribly wrong! ) And to solve exploit's, if the guy is just spamming with the spikes or not using it within reason, this "Reputation System" can get the guy Demoted or kicked out of the force if he/she just keeps being A complete tool! Hope this gives some idea?

1 pointTo be more specific, there are no less than five different factors that determine sex - chromosomes, genitalia, gonads, hormone profile, and secondary sex characteristics. None of them fall strictly into "male/female" in every single person. The popular conception of sex as a clear binary is a gross oversimplification. I could go into more detail, but frankly I don't get the feeling that actual facts are of interest to most of the people posting their objections in this thread. For those who would genuinely like to learn more, there is always Google or asking nicely. I have to agree that I'm rapidly losing interest in this game because of the community. Community is what makes or breaks an RPG, and no amount of shiny graphics or awesome gameplay can save you from some entitled dudebros who think it's funny to tear everyone else down.
