Welcome to the Almighty 300 Block Boys Nation, or 300 Block Boys (3BB/TBB) for short. We are a street gang located in Roseport City (Unless the city names stated by the devs change obviously) We are a band of brothers, we make our money together, have each other's back, etc. We traffic drugs, weapons, and things of that nature. We also of course, kill our enemies. We are willing to ally with other Street gangs and/or Mafia's, just PM me. You are free to PM me as well if you want to join. Roles Affiliate - This is when you want to see what it will be like being in the gang. Contributor - You can be this rank if you wish to remain doing legal activities, but want a business deal with us. Like say you own a gunstore. You sell guns to us for a cheap price and/or you give some of your money to us, we protect your place and fulfill your drug habits and such. Soldier - When we are at war, soldiers are the main people who go out and do drives by's, walk up's and such. The ones posted up on the corner making sure no opps (oppositon) are in our turf. You can wear our colors, and especially the TBB hoodies we will have. Shooter - Basically the same job as the Soldier, except you're proven loyal. You'll get more opportunities The Plug/Dealer - You sell Drugs, Guns, etc. You can also grow these things. OG's - Very few people will get this, it's basically the leaders. The people who negotiate with other gangs, do business, and tell the shooters who to target specifically (If we want someone whacked), etc. Leader/Founder - Obviously me, in charge of everything. I assign OG's. Rules Don't kill another TBB member Respect eachother, we all in this together try'na get this money No snitches, snitches are KOS Don't come up to anyone using some 90's slang. It's cringe worthy asf Nobody just "retires" you simply go inactive, if you still want to help out when you get tired of the illegal life, just be a contributor. If an OG tells you something, do it. Our color is blue, you are obviously allowed to wear black and white with it. But we will have TBB hoodies and such for us. We will have a Discord server as well.

To the people who are keeping this great game safe, I thank and address you. My name is Francepourlavie, I am the founder and current president of the Front National Party in Identity RPG I have a strong belief that police should be the only citizens that should have the rights to firearms. I will hold a public vote on this topic. I want to introduce the role of Police Commissioner, The Commissioner will be the leader of the police force and will deal with all police related issues. A few well respected members of the police force and I will choose The Commissioner if I am elected. I will also fight to make sure that ALL terrorism is removed from the game. I will introduce a special anti-terror force within the police department. Armed police officers will patrol the streets to make sure that citizens are safe at all times. I will increase funding for the police department. I will allow police to remove all players masks. This is simply for identification of players. I thank the police, who fight EVERY SINGLE DAY, to keep our great citizens safe! Vote for FrancePourLaVie to make Identity safe!

There has been a recent growth in political population. Between mayor candidates, governor candidates, and citizens who choose to use their voice more overall involvement has increased. THIS IS GOOD, but due to the different mindsets and lack of education on some issues an explosion of disrupt in peace has sprouted. It is evident who the leading politicians are ( @ThomasHetch, @BobbyCruz, @JoelKeys & @LuciousTimes [myself] ) and every single one of us has one shared goal, ensure our policies provide a good life for EVERY CITIZEN on the Identity Island! It's simple! We all have a different way of going about things, BUT we all want the same thing. In this form, I want everyone that desires to have a part in the politics of Identity to discuss the following topics in the following order in order to build or at least see and analyze what policies work best. The politics that will matter in the game are: Taxes, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Crime Punishments We will all discuss the first topic ( Taxes ). After together we have come to build something most favorable I will conclude the topic and we may then move to the next. I hope this builds peace amongst the people of Identity and foundation for the game once built. May @Motown and the other developers find favor with this.

'Esoterica' "Your Blood, Is Our Money" About 'Esoterica' "Esoterica is No one... But we're Everywhere... We're the solutions to problems that plague each and everyone of us. So long as we draw a hint of breath... But with Coordination, Professionalism, and Dedication. These three words make up the foundry of Esoterica. These words, is what gets problems solved." -'Mr-Rent-A-Killer' If you haven't figured out who we REALLY are yet? Then we do advise, this is not the business for you... Understanding, plays A key part in 'Esoterica' as well. But don't let it drive you away! (Were not complete D*cks...) We will help you understand. That's why we're here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q.A. Q. So simply; "What is 'Esoterica' exactly?" A. We are. Hitmen. Assassins. Must we say more? Q. "Okay, How do you guys work?" A. We take absolute pride and care in our line-of-work. Whatever a client requires, it will get done, no matter the cost's. (For A Reasonable price of course.) With different variations at a client's disposal, whether it be the death should look accidental or just a instantaneous shot in the back of the head. We will provide these options. Clients have A Say in everything, and should cooperate with us, but with no questions asked. To help further our success of their selection. So be completely sure if you want 'Us' to continue, because there will be no refunds. If you want further information on this, scroll down until you find it's title: "The Contracts". Q. "Wow! Alright, so if I was A 'Client'. What are my Payment options?" A. Client's don't ask questions... (Joking!) The main Payment will of course be Money/Salary. (In-game of course) However, if we require A certain type of item or assistance to carry out A hit. We be sure to notify you in some way. Otherwise, Cash will do nicely. Remember, you do 'Have' A say in this. So for example: Bargaining for A price of A certain type of assassination. That will be possible. Q. "Nice! So what are my options?" ⦁ O.B.E. [One Behind The Ear] ⦁ Hit & Run ⦁ Accidental ⦁ Kidnapped (And Killed later) ⦁ Sabotaged (Car Bombs, Framed etc.) A. These are the most commonly asked methods. (Surely, there will be more methods on how to dispatch a target, when the game provides us the environment to do these type of things.) Q. "Awesome! But I'm not A Client, I want to join 'Esoterica'!" A. Well, that can be arranged. But we must warn you. We are not exactly what you call, A 'Clan' or 'Gang'. This is more exciting than that! But a lot more difficult... In-fact, we're more of A organised 'Order' than anything else. It's like this for our members to ensure our/their secrecy compared to any of the obvious mafias. However, you could be from A mafia, and still work 'With' us. So long as you/we have permission from your leader. (To not break rules of course.) This will be arranged with many crime-bosses, Gangbangers, and even the innocent Civilians. Everyone is capable of joining 'Esoterica', but you will have to prove yourself by showing off your skills. When provided targets come up for you. As such, you will be paid in a shared cut, depending on the circumstances and conditions of the hit. We could go on and on about this, but hopefully, you got A good understanding on how we're going to operate compared to many other factions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Codes (Rules) 'Esoterica' refers our simple 'Rules' as 3 unique Codes instead, because they're not drastically restricted... But if broken, will lead to dire consequences. There will be exceptions with loyal members and allies of 'Esoterica' that have proven, and gained our trust. We fully understand, mistakes are imminent. 1. "Esoterica is No one... But we're everywhere..." Nobody is truly "The leader", of Esoterica, but "The Leading Provider" meaning, if you consider yourself higher than others for the hell of it? Abusing authority! (When The Leading Provider takes care of that already.) You don't belong in 'Esoterica'. (The Current "Leading Provider" is TheNerdyChef") 2. "Esoterica does not affiliate with anyone... But we Know Everything..." Members should know not to ever! Be attached in any sort of way, to A Target. Yet have everything they can use against them. Being only important information to assist A hit. The Code also provides that you can never mention Esoterica to anyone else! Because "Esoterica does not Affiliate". "So how can 'Esoterica' make Allies and contacts with Other Clans, Gangs, Mafia's, and Clients?" you may ask. Well,'Esoterica' is "No one". So how can it affiliate with anyone in the first place? So 'We' Can make allies, but because we're still the foundation of Esoterica, it means we can't contact anyone until "We" are contacted. 3. "Esoterica Is Deceitful... But We are Better..." Don't let yourself be deceived, in this case "Esoterica". Or anything in that regard. We make the moves, We are more creative. We are Better. Everyone is Unique and belongs, so don't let anyone take that away from you! Also, it means not to be "Deceived" By your target, whether He/She would try to Bribe you for A Better deal, or overestimating Him/Her. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The System (Ranks) The System may sound like increasing ranks in a hierarchy. But in reality, they’re more like four separate parallel pathways. This gives us further understanding of our clients and members. Rated by their professionalism and skill level, to help Influentiate our state of the art 'Contract's System'.The more you do Contracts for us, the more we understand on which Pathway you are walking on. This simply being 3 progression lines: (With exceptions of Dilettante, Provider and Leading Provider.) Novice, Journeyman, and Master. Novice- A Novice Hitman. The trainee. Whether they're affiliated with a gang, or an organized crime syndicate. Some of them, will be connected by 'Esoterica'. Proving themselves and impressing our peers with their unique methods, loyalty, and unmatched skill. The road is unforgiving, but there is somewhat, luxury at the end of the day. This is where everyone starts, and hopefully... You will be alive by the end of it... But no promises... Dilettante- Or "Clean-skins". Are the same Rank/Category as the Novice. (Treated the same) But with different motives that drive them. They are desperate individuals. Either it be A traumatic divorce that has landed them in serious debt, or simply... They're looking for that easy buck, and itching to acquire any means to get it! (Keep in mind the Definition of Dilettantes: A person who cultivates an area of interest, such as the arts, without real commitment or knowledge.) By no surprise, there will honestly be more Dilettantes than Novices. (Which is not exactly A 'Bad' thing...) But In Theory, the average Novice that doesn't have any emotional attachment and fully dedicated to his work, would have increased chances of being successful in carrying out targets/hits. But the Clean-skin would be caught. Simply Being that A Dilettante is not a heartless killer, but an ordinary person. Driven into profound measures, within A profound business. With more research, we discovered there were also some cases of a Dilettante’s intended target, were talked out by the target themselves. Some cases of Bribery to spare them, accepting the higher Bribe than the actual payout of the target. Ironically the most common however, is actually any type of affiliation/contact to the target. So for Clean-skins out there, this road will be a lot more tougher than your counterpart... But not impossible. (However, betray us... And there will be consequences.) There will be exceptions on your motives and most importantly, your Will power, 'Will' be tested. (In fact, it already was now... If you read the whole Dilettantes section thoroughly and understand it? You are capable, and there IS place for you, in this line-of-work) Journeyman- In contrast, the Journeyman or occasionally called the Veteran's of the Hitmen. Are experienced, reliable killers that skillfully plan their missions, 10 steps ahead of the target. These Guys have no remorse. True Sociopaths... And 'Esoterica' likes it this way. Providers & Leading Provider- Nothing is known about these individuals, only the obvious answer is that they "Provide" contracts to whoever is the highest bidder. Speculation spins around that these type of individuals are Retired, Master Hitmen. That they "Served" their time, but still Provide (Get it?) guidance and jobs to whomever they please. Evidence supports this because A "Provider" needs that knowledge for his "Peers" to help them achieve the right amount skill. Who is more Sinister? The Murderer, or The People that make them? Master- Finally, there is the Master Hitman. You can't even consider them 'Man'. These... Things, can be however mistaken as Phantoms or even Mythical figures. But trust us, these individuals are indeed, Real. But their Identity's remain unknown or at least, extremely well hidden. And don't worry! We got them lurking in the shadows... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Contracts (Jobs) The last important section. The Contracts is how A Hitman can stay organised, functional and choose his/her destined targets. 'Esoterica'and it's "Providers" are the very Clockwork of The Contracts. Keeping it ticking while "Us" do the dirty work. (Or clean, if you can manage it...) In order for this to work, we designed A simple, but easily decipherable spreadsheet that will get regular updates on current contracts. ( This is just a small preview, will be more detailed ) This is just the first stage prototype of it. These contracts will be provided by real players from Identity. Passed on to "The Providers", then passed on to A suitable Hitman to perform this contract. (Cycle: Player>Provider>Hitman>Target) After the hit is done. Payday comes! So how is money going to work? Well for now, we don't know how difficult it is to earn money in Identity, due to the game having minimal information on that. But we do know that it will simulate A Economy in the game, meaning prices will be changed on A Supply and Demand basis. This will come into play of our Contracts as well, prices changing, values of the targets and contracts will never be the same. Now more on the topic of placing A hit on A Target. Our deal is, when we carry out A task. Payment in advance will be required. Remember, this can be bargained as well. For instance, let's say the Target you want dead. 25,000$ will have to be the payment in advance to show us your not kidding. While your offering 50,000$ on his head already. You can hassle us, as long as it still comes to terms of our Pay in Advance Policy and it is surely reasonable. With Refunds, there will be exceptions on whether we should give your money back, depending on the situation. If it's completely Accidental and you want your money back. How the system works, is that you should be responsible for the Hit, just as much as our members perform it. If you don't want your target dead after offering A Hit/Contract. That payment in Advance will not be refunded to compensate that you have wasted our time and should feel responsible. (As well as summoning us in the first place...) However, if the hit was already carried out, but you didn't want them dead. There will be investigation on whether you should deserve at least 1/3 of your money back to help compensate. (This is much WIP [Work In Progress] So bare with us!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Misc.(Fun facts) If you have any further questions, please give A reply and A Bump on this forum. We greatly appreciate it! (These will be answered by either TheNerdyChef or Segaside.) Definitions: Murder: The unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Assassinate: Murder (An important person) for political or religious reasons. The word "assassin" was derived from Hasan-i Sabbah and his Assassin's Order of Nizari Ismailism. Most Hitmen are to either be killed by another Hitman than actually getting caught. Or Simply 'Dissapear' (And Presumed Dead) Hitmen are more likely to murder their victim while they walk the dog or go shopping in suburban neighbourhoods. Despite their comparative disadvantages, handguns are more easily concealable, and consequentially much more commonly used than rifles. Of 74 principal incidents evaluated in a major study about assassination attempts in the U.S. in the second half of the 20th century, 51% were undertaken by a handgun, 30% with a rifle or shotgun, 15% used knives, and 8% explosives (usage of multiple weapons/methods was reported in 16% of all cases). The average cost for murder is about $25,000 and the cheapest hit cost's only $350. A sniper with a precision rifle is often used in fictional assassinations. However, certain difficulties attend long-range shooting, including finding a hidden shooting position with a clear line-of-sight, detailed advance knowledge of the intended victim's travel plans, the ability to identify the target at long range, and the ability to score a first-round lethal hit at long range, usually measured in hundreds of meters. A dedicated sniper rifle is also expensive, often costing thousands of dollars because of the high level of precision machining and hand-finishing required to achieve extreme accuracy. Most assassinations are carried out to help further into political gain for individuals. (Hinting the Definition and purpose of "assassination") If you have any further questions, please give A reply and A Bump on this forum. We greatly appreciate it! (These will be answered by either TheNerdyChef or Segaside.) Spreadsheet and Idea designed by TheNerdyChef. Research, Writing, and creation of 'Esoterica' by Segaside.

So actors win Oscars, musicians win Grammy's, I had the idea of hosting an official community engagement award ceremony on Discord! Below you will find a list of awards. You will all nominate someone for the award of your choice, or choices. If any given person receives more than 4 nominations, they will officially be recognised as an ICA Nominee. In a week or two, I will give you all the discord link and I will present the awards to the nominees who receive the most nominations in each category. List Of Awards ICA Politics Award - For whoever has been most active and engaging in the political arena ICA Business Award - For whoever has put a lot of effort into their business ICA Law Enforcement Award - For the law enforcement agent who has been engaging with the community the most ICA Entrepreneur Award - For the business owner with the most unique and original idea for a business ICA Diplomat Award - For someone who always contributes to discussions in an impartial and respectful manner ICA Support Award - For whoever is always there to answer any questions for anyone ICA Underworld Award - For the most lucrative criminal. Can go to a whole group. The Identity Masters Award - For the all-around best jack of all trades character on the forums I personally would like to nominate the following. @LuciousTimes for the ICA Politics Award @Norway174 for the ICA Law Enforcement Award @JamesLuck01 for the Support Award Please place your nominations below, I hope you like this fun little idea! P.S I think it would be cool to have a set of logos which correspond with each award. Something small that the winners can put in their signature as a trophy. Also one single logo for any nominee runner up. We obviously wont be able to enforce that only winners can wear this badge, but its a cool idea. If anyone could design some small, discreet logos please PM me. Thanks!

I'm just wondering how they are going to manage to keep it from not getting another shooter-rpg... since it will involve guns, I think there will be lots of players who just just go around and shoot everyone, it will involve pubs, restaurants, sport facilities, and lots of open places where people just want to hang out... so it will be killing paradise in some players eyes...

Please change the font of your post, Can't even read it properly. Also you cannot start your own '' FBI '' There is a law enforcement system in the game. You won't have a special career with the FBI from start. U might get a higher '' role '' in your career but that's all. So your meta gaming private messages can stop now. If you wanna do something like this, at least do it '' professionally' in a roleplay way and do not metagame.

I will organize a militia against you if you get elected. Police are important but making the island a police state isn't a good idea. The 2nd amendment (the game is based on America) states that we have the rights to bear arms.

rpg's can take 3-10yrs of development from a big company. everyone keeps saying this game is taking to long to develop but thats only because you all have no idea what it takes to make a video game. they are making great time. GTAV took 5 years of development.

1 group is all that is needed in a certain part of the town, eg, east city would have one group, west another, north another and south another. Then in the smaller towns there would be no need for this.

Hello all. I am happy to announce that I will be launching an entirely new department of Keys High-End Apparel. It is obvious that we are iconic for our suits and men's wear, however a few people have voiced their opinions on the fact that this leaves out the female demographic. This is why, I will be opening a new department. The way to look at this is that the men's section will be like Facebook, and the females like Instagram. Yes, they are very different and are ran by different people, but ultimately they are all part of the same company. I am also happy to announce that @hcnnch will be the Chief of Operations for this department. The structure will now be this. I will be the CEO of Keys High-End Apparel, I will also be the Chief of Operations for the men's department. Hcnnch will be the Chief of Operations for the female department. Hopefully this will expand our portfolio in the future. P.S, sorry for taking so long to write this, it was worked out a while ago

If they had rushed the project it would have come out terribly, if I had spent 250$ I would want them to give me a good product, not a quick product. Think about Arma 3, it took around 1.5 years to 2 years to develop. This game is on the scale of Arma 3, but much more detailed with many more features. Arma 3 had a larger budget, more staff, and an easier project, but it still took a while. Cut the devs some slack, they are simply ensuring that the game they release is the best it can be, some of them are working for free, so they have no reason to attempt to drag on the release. Please be patient c:

You've informed yourself correctly. There won't be sex in Identity. However I don't have a clue about a strip club. But even if something like that were to be included, I doubt you'll be able to own it. Just as with casinos. I do believe there will be regular dance clubs and there should be dancing animations. If I'm wrong on this I will be corrected, for sure! But if these are included, all the rest is RP.

Sex is indeed not possible. A strip club, sure why not, I doubt there will be actual NPCs dancing. Would be cool just like in gta.

I was extremely disappointed by this dev blog.... the thoughts have been late July early august for release of town square for a while now. Now that this has come out. We know that it's going to be at least another couple months. And I know people are going to hate on this comment and tell me to be patient. But like I pledged stupidly 250USD which is well over 300 in CAD for me. The last dev blog said just polishing the environment. And finishing up a couple interiors then it's good to go. Now they show us a couple more interiors. And they say they have to finish a couple more interior and polish up the environment. But they also say they will have a video of gameplay, then multiple videos of town square before release. My math is telling me another 4 months until town square. These guys need to find outside funding or something. Because this game is going to be dated in technology by the time it comes out.

Seems you have a choice to make, with two options. - You either ask for a refund, and get it over with, and re-buy it when you DO have faith in a release. You'll miss out on the modules, but that's only fair. - You have a little faith, continue to support the developers, and be a contributing members of our little society. Either way, you WILL be able to play the game when it comes out, whether it's next year of the year after that. But one thing I know for sure: the pledgers will have enjoyed three modules and a closed beta by that time. All while making suggestions on these forums. And complaining you haven't seen or played a thing yet, imagine waiting on the full release. Take your chances, it's up to you. But complaining gets you nowhere, it's intoxicating at the very least. I've been on these forums daily since the last month, and too many people ruin these boards at times with the same negativity you express. And sure, it's your good right. But perhaps you should think then if this game development process angers you, you should leave it for what it is. And let us wait in anticipation, in peace. Thank you.

I'm sure plenty of people will do the same. And I applaud it, we'll have custom Identity TV-shows, news reports, etc. that way. I'm enjoying the prospects of that. @Mentality : I've come across those as well in the recent past, and I'm unsure about how legal they are. But if they are allowed, that's one more thing to look forward to in Identity! I suppose it's all good as long as Asylum Entertainment's legal department doesn't receive Cease & Desist letter.

This topic was created so that candidates and citizens could work together and try to find what's best for the policy foundations in Identity. Peace being the key theme, I'd appreciate you approaching with a little more understanding. Due to your comments, it is clear that you are unaware of some things and saying that I don't mean to belittle I simply wish to explain on behalf of myself and other "members of the identity community". Myself, @ThomasHetch , @JoelKeys and @BobbyCruz have invested time and effort into figuring out the government and what our role in government will be. Between questioning the developers, finding quotes from @Motown himself, digging through all the information we have and trying to piece things together, actively answering questions we know the answers to and willing to remain composed us four are the leading political figures. There's no area for boasting in that, it's simply a fact. The policies we make are based off the information we have, which happens to be a lot of information. When we are unclear on something we ask. It's not a hassle, the moderators and/or developers give us our needed information and we adjust based on what they give us. It is necessary we do this, even in the first module there will be a governor. People running for an in-game political office should not be required to have in game experience when those candidates will be elected at the start of the game. Whoever is first will have zero in-game experience. That's why it's necessary we ask and have all questions answered. On top of that it is important we work together to build the foundation policies that way the beginning isn't that harsh of a time. On my own behalf, I talk down and belittle absolutely no one! I question and advise on what I know, that's to be enough said on that fraction of my response. Real world politician have zero need to be discussed unless reference to policy or character is made. With us all surely having different passions and opinions of those in office at every level of government globally let us refrain from our bashing. A custom at a restaurant can complain about long he has to wait for his food and say that the leaders of the establishment are poor, but the customer knows not the shoes all the leaders must fill. We are the people, all of us, even us four are still citizens of Identity. We just try to go above the standard and do more in this area where our passion lies and we are educated. As I stated before, current candidates are necessary. I don't understand as to why you see me as flawed, my only assumption would be that you were just unaware of the things I just previously stated, and there's no fault in that. If I and the others were running campaigns without a clue of the game or the way things will work then that would be foolish of us and therefore, you would be right in your "flawed" adjective. However, that is not the case. We know enough information to state the things we've stated! As I said before, I don't mean to belittle. This is a topic of peace, I just felt you didn't know some things and needed to be informed!

I find it very patronizing and rather ignorant from members of the identity community like yourself and other 'leading political figures' (in reality you're no such thing) that claim to know how to stimulate the national in game economy and to provide decent policies in regards to quality of life when you haven't even stepped foot into a server or know how the game works. The first thing people like you will do is announce your candidacy without gaining valuable in game experience that people who run for office should have. It's patronising in the sense you're talking down to people like you have the answers to the current non-existent problems. In the real world, career politicians are CANCER and have made the world a worse place claiming they sympathise with the real people without living and experiencing the 'real life' instead of a political bubble, plucking policies out of the air. So how about starting from the bottom, experience the game, live the game and most importantly LEARN the game before you lead it. Whatever happened to the government being from the people? As far as I'm concerned there shouldn't be candidates until the game has been released! But due to there already being some I'd say you're one hell of a flawed candidate before the game has even entered alpha.

Wow, what a month. It's been busy here at Asylum as usual, so let's get down to the interesting stuff! As expected, our current focus is on the Town Square so that we can get it out to you as soon as possible. We're finalising the interior of the library and art gallery (shared within one building) and adding polish to the environment. Once the clothing store interior is complete following that, the Town Square environment is ready to go. We'll continuously be adding more art after release though; specifically for house furnishings, decorations and clothing. In addition to the environment art, Miroslav (character artist) has been creating all sorts of hair assets which allow us to show hair appropriately when wearing a hat or helmet. This is a big task for him as it means making variations to match the hat options for each length of hair, but in the end it'll ensure your hair always looks as you'd expect when wearing headgear. Hair under a hat; work in progress Right next to the clothing shop you'll find a bicycle store where you can get a sneak preview of some of the bikes you'll be able to ride around in the full Identity release. We showed you a bicycle work in progress last blog post and now you can see the finished result of that below. This image will give you a rough idea of the detail level you'll see in Identity's vehicles. Ridable bicycle With more final systems coming online for the Town Square release, we now have functioning phones. Each player will start with a cellphone, although you'll be able to upgrade it with three mobile OS options available. The phone OS' each have a unique and interesting style. Characters also have a designated phone number assigned when they're created; you'll be able to get a custom number for a fee. These phones work just as you'd expect. You're able to dial up another player and speak with voice remotely. Businesses can even get a business line which, when called, will contact a member of that corporation who's online. Shot from an internal system test: advertising While the art of the billboard above isn't final, it gives you a very good idea of what you can expect in Identity for advertising. That's right, you can really publish messages around the world through billboards and other means. Corporations and those running for government office can purchase billboard space to help get their message out. You'll select a graphical template from a large list of options and then attach a brief message or other customization to make it your own. These billboards can also be moderated by the server operators. There are other similar advertising systems, too. For example digital road signs can be made to show custom messages by the current government. We can't wait to show you more of Identity, and we'll soon have that opportunity with the release of an overhauled website. Those current pledge packages are about to go away forever, and some of the rewards won't be available for purchase again after the new website changes. Also, follow us on our Twitch channel if you'd like to stop in and ask questions of the developers. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you'll find a few developers playing a random game from 4pm EST to 5pm EST. Ask any questions and they'll be happy to answer on stream. Catch some of Identity's developers hard at work and see how they make the magic happen: we'll be providing development streaming dates and times on Twitter, soon! -- John VanderZwet

DATE POSTED: March 24th, 2017 Big changes for a bigger world! What a crazy time for the Identity development team over here at Asylum! We've been running all over the place for conferences and expos this month, including both GDC and PAX East, where we met all sorts of new talent and potential technology partners. We've unfortunately had to push back the release of the Town Square module from our original Q1 2017 release with all of the big developments here, but most systems are in place and it's not far off! The biggest and most exciting news we're officially announcing today is a new partnership with Improbable, the creators of SpatialOS! The Identity team has been testing the waters with SpatialOS for a couple of months now and we're incredibly excited about what it's going to mean for Identity. Identity can now be what we all hoped it would be, a true MMORPG in scale. SpatialOS is going to power Identity behind the scenes, allowing absolutely enormous scale for our world and the people playing in it. While we had originally hoped to be able to get 300 people into our servers with decent performance, with just a tiny bit more effort we're going to be able to expand that as far as the game needs. Instead of 300 players in a single server, we could now potentially have thousands. The size of our servers are now going to be set based on what we feel is ideal for a fun and immersive environment and we're not limited technically like we were expecting in the past. It opens more doors than simply the number of players on a server, too. With these changes we can now afford to have a more dynamic and interactive world. We've gained some freedom in manipulating the world and we can create features which we never imagined possible in a game of Identity's scale. This is all extremely exciting for the team. This technology is a scope-changer and Identity is going to be far better for it. Not only will our world grow, not only will the population be denser, but you'll even be able to leave your mark in many new ways. Development charging forward Concept art for Town Square art gallery and library, featuring player content We're working and expanding at an incredible rate. All key gameplay features for Town Square are now functional as we add polish and work to support SpatialOS in Identity. The development team has expanded with terrific new talent: Antoine joins Identity's 3D art team, Cody comes on board as a new systems and gameplay programmer and Liam comes in as our first dedicated web developer. Antoine and Cody both bring experience in their field to hasten development for Town Square and Identity as a whole. Liam's talents mean exciting new features on our website will be popping up soon. We've had plenty planned for our website for some time but haven't had the resources to bring these to you, until now.
