FAQ (Publish Questions You Want Below!) Everyone has had questions about the police department, so I'm here to make an FAQ from information from the developers, and also plain simple answers. (Not all information is guaranteed to be correct and any developer/staff member can leave a comment stating anything different to what I have said.) 1. Can I be [This Rank]? Answer: I have already discussed this with Motown and it is clear that on your own private servers that yes, you are able to choose who is which rank, however on the official servers. Motown has said that it is unlikely in the first place that there will be a police chief (On steam). And he has also told me that even if there is It will be a staff member or a developer. Other Points: Points above confirmed, however, it is not clear to me yet whether there will be a ranking system at all, or whether it will depend on time played on the server etc. 2. Is there going to be an age limit for the police department? Answer: It is very unlikely that there will be an age limit as they do not want to restrict players to what they can do in-game, also players do not want to be hyped up for police department and then not be able to become a police officer. Other Points: Confirmed 3. What are the amounts for the citations going to be? Answer: It is likely that the ticket/citation prices will be preset as this will stop the few 1 or 2 trolls who want to try and ticket someone $99999 for not stopping at a stop sign. But there will probably be different prices for each type of ticket, for example, a different price from Reckless Driving to Speeding. Other Points: Confirmed 4. Will there be trials/courtrooms? Answer: From what I've heard, yes. There will be courtrooms and trials, so there is a possibility that there will indeed be bail. However that is not confirmed, although I think this would be a good idea since not that many people with have money at the start so it won't be like every single person gets bailed. Other Points: Read below Warning: Motown has now confirmed with me that there will be NO bail. The below is a quote from Motown about the jailing system: "When you are sent to prison, you can request a trial if your prison sentence is over 15 minutes. If your trail is accepted, you can plead your case or have your selected lawyer plead your case for you, in front of a row or player jurors. After your time is up to plead your case, they vote guilty or not guilty. There is no player judge. If voted Not guilty, you get set free, and if voted guilty, you get sent back to the prison yard" 5. Will there be sub-divisions (SWAT, Aviation, K9 etc)? Answer: Well we already know that SWAT will be a thing due to the module being shown here. However, we have not been told about K9, Aviation etc yet. I believe that they will not be a thing until the servers are up and running with a strong police system first. As we do not want 10 K9 officers and 2 officers on duty, with 9 dogs running around. And helicopters will probably not be needed at the start. As well as this the developers need to focus on the original police system and the SWAT module before they do anything else. Other Points: There might be different skins for different parts of the map, but this is also unlikely as the whole map will probably just be one police force. Read Below Warning: Motown has now confirmed that they will be looking into K9 someday, but aircraft will not be a thing, even for the police. This is a quote from Motown below: "We'd like to do a K9 unit someday, but for now when or if we ever add animals that can follow the player outside in the open world rather than just apartments/houses. There also will not be any aircraft in Identity, even for police." Motown has also said below the following: "There will be SWAT and detective divisions for the police force, with a limited number of consecutive spots. If Too many SWAT or detectives, or not enough regular cops are online, then the slots are limited" 6. What will the maximum sentence time be? Answer: The maximum sentence time has "For now" been confirmed to be 45 minutes. Although due to them stating it's only, for now, this may change in the future. Other points: Confirmed by a developer, also obviously not every single sentence will be 45 minutes long. It depends on the time. 7. Can an off-duty officer help out another on-duty officer? Answer: A moderator states that there is no way to help unless other officers are in uniform. What We Do? Our job at the IIA is to work across multiple servers and gather information about thieves, drug dealers, contract killers, members of illegal groups, gangs, mafias and crime families and many more. As you see from the Hideout section of the Identity forums there are many different gangs and mafias, so we will need all the help we can get to shut them all down. The main difference between us and the police is that we don’t have to follow the law like they do, we can raid properties at anytime and stop whatever illegal activities are going on in there. Although that would make us criminals I’m sure that every citizen would want the same to happen to the drug dealers and murderers of Identity. To sum it all up, we keep gather info about criminals and either give it to the actual police force or handle them or selves. We will know everything about a criminal before raiding his property and turning them in. Where will our money come from? Our money will mainly come from raiding properties that have a lot of cash on them or by taking their drugs and if we can turn them in for a cash award. We will also put well-trained bodyguards up for hire and try to get them hired by the biggest or richest business on the servers we are setup on. Although this will be our biggest problem, I’m sure we will figure out what to do near the full release of the game. Available Jobs Salary will come later on near full release. Director Of The IIA: Overlooks operations, hires new people, decides on what criminal/group/gang/mafia/family to go after. Clearance level 4. Operator: (0/3) The operators organise the files and takes the info that a Special Agent gathers to put it in the right files. They can give Special Agents a target to spy on. Clearance level 3. Classified: Classified job. Clearance level unknown. Special Agent: (0/8): Spies and gathers information on criminals or criminal properties and reports it to an operator. Goes on classified missions. Clearance level 2. Strategic Raid Unit: (0/6): Deployed by the Director to raid a property and take out the criminals inside. Must have very good infiltration skills and trigger skill, you must also be able to work with your teammates. Clearance level 1. Bodyguards: (0/5): Assigned by the Director to protect VIPs. Agree'd and everyone will have their doubts about games, and how it will run how the content will be, because of look at the games that we have been promised in the past, and they have turned out nothing but trash. i can see how why a lot of people get their doubts, and why a lot of people will not think its going to be as good as it seems, but i have faith even if it comes out lacking alot of content if i see that they are putting the effort in and trying their hardest i will be their to help support as much as i can, a lot of people will put the game down calling it a scam, and so fourth until they see legit game play and so on. its not that they hate the game and don't want it made, its just they have trust issues with the company's, let the first module get complete and you-tubers and twitch streamers get on the game and play, then their sells might go up because the people seen the game seen the game play seen how the system is being made and they will choose if they want the game or not, and these guys at asylum know this, that is why they are working so hard to make it perfect, all i can wish for is everyone have faith into these guys making this game, and lets just hope they can make it and they need our support, they don't need us doubting the game, they don't need us doubting them. we need to work together ask our questions and when they stream ask them. if they dont save the question till next time. and then us just put the information down into the chats in the community and not fight over what can or can't be right.

This. Exactly this. Every week they used to stream 5 times, now it's down to 3 times. Each week I try to watch every stream and I take a lot of the questions people have been asking on the forums with me. I ask what I can ask without harassing them, and quite often I get a reply. And I'm not alone, quite a few people here on the forums do the same. This way we gather information bit by bit. There's so many questions that can be asked about so many different aspects of the game.

was just saying what i was told on how it uses your cpu more then the graphics card, and i know arma 3 was not the best in optimization and 110% bug free, but still a very lovely game. and hopefully yes like i did say hopefully this game is more optimized, and how they was talking how they want it perfect even before first module is released so i think that was key word that it is going / should run great if you have a good gaming pc. :3 not out to try and make enemy's just trying to help out ^-^

I don't believe cops and other government departments can get "days off" per say. I think the option to quit your job and RP a day or days off could be possible but other than that I don't think so.

They said in 2015 that soon will be release the town squarer and after SWAT and race, but now in 2017 same that is no modules ready. Or it is and i don`t know how to find them..

If you are talking about it being optimised then yes it will be better optimised than Arma 3.

also, the 3d objects were hand modeled even the phone took forever. also since I'm a game developer from experience in unity and blender it would probably take me 5 years to make all the assets custom made in blender by myself for town square let along the game so don't hate this jizz is hard and they are making a lot of progress for such a heavy load on a small team luckily they are pros at this type of stuff and they have experience with this so they're going faster than they should. ps: im not trigger with you
