4 pointsWith the current configuration, which also applies to civilian phones, people won't hear what the police are saying in response, but they will hear what the cop standing near them is saying. Just as it is in real life if you're standing beside someone on a phone.

2 pointsWill weed be legal to open up like weed shops and to grow it? Also will there be bongs pipes etc. that you can smoke weed out of so i can own a head shop?
-
2 pointsActually a lot of officers have an open radio, if you are next to them you can hear the dispatcher come over the radio, my cousins a cop and you can hear the dispatcher actually pretty clear if you stand by him, but then they adjust the radio and you cant ease drop ;-; that's why I went out and bought a police radio, and set it to our police channels :3 should be something they add in for houses so if your sitting their relaxing, "we got a naked person running threw the square with a knife all units respond code 3" -3-
-
2 pointsTBH I've always wanted to own a weed shop IRL. I could either grow it myself and sell it in shop or have a supplier that would grow the weed for you and deliver it to your shop that you would sell it in. Also, you could have a head shop which is like selling pipes bongs etc. Just tell me your thoughts on this and tell me if it is a possibility if you have like bongs and such as well.

2 pointsit would be stupid for them to flop cuz theyre sitting on a fucking gold mine right now if they dont flop and keep on working on this they will make more money in the end theyre the biggest dumbasses if they choose to flop at this point

1 pointHi, I haven't posted in a while (almost about a year) I see that the progress is now at 89%, they are so close! I still have not invested in the game and will hold out until the final released or the paid beta. Anyway, my question: How will the weapons in the game be categorized? Like Real Life? Machine Gun, Pistol, and Rifle (going with what the US ATF considers each therefore an Uzi would be considered a automatic pistol). Or with your own categories. Also would the guns in the game be based off real guns, the real guns, or totally made up. To me I would prefer if the guns were real name, fire rate, recoil, etc. Also will there be world modification say if I wanted to blow up a bridge in the game to stop a convoy of illegal contraband from crossing it, could I and would the bridge be gone until a highway crew fixed it? Also will there be Chainsaws to cut down trees? Pepper spray to stun a player with bad intentions? This has been about more than weapons, but this stuff matters.

1 pointActually it is a dream of mine to create my own strain and have a nice small shop on a beach either in Cali or somewhere out of the states even.

1 pointSounds good! I will send you a DM later in the day, and maybe we can arrange some sort of business deal!
-
1 pointThey just said the Hunting rifle likely because it is a rifle used specifically for hunting and not anything else etc. There is a AK47 and a few others we know about.
-
1 pointThe hours in game just come to play when you log in! You don't have set hours unless plans are made for certain hours in game That's how I figure it will work !Been like that in most RP games
-
1 pointYes the guy on the radio, won't be heard but the player talking into the radio while next to a person will be heard. So only one person is heard by others if they are next to that "Person/ officer".

1 pointWhat is the difference between a job and a role? For this comment nothing. Jobs will be something any player can do at any time. On the other hand a career is not, you have to work your way through the ranks. So what I think you are asking is can you have multiple careers (e.g. shop keeper, drug dealer, hitman, etc.) In which the answer would be yes and no. As a shop keeper I would expect the ranks to be your pay or maybe your role in the shop weather it would be cashier or restocker. For a drug dealer I would expect the ranks to be your popularity, and for hit man, well that is just the crime career. So yes you can change your career, but as the devs said there will be something (not sure) that makes it less desirable to change. Now that doesn't mean you couldn't just take off your career clothing and get a pistol and shot your target. Or after career hours buy drugs then sell them so instead of making them and selling them your buy and sell. So I guess the answer you are looking for is: Yes?
-
1 pointIf you would like, I can make you my right hand man. I need someone else to help me with the business. It's a lot of work. If you're up for it and you're a serious RP player, I am definitely down with you being my right hand man!
-
1 pointWow, great business plan TBH I wouldn't have thought of this, but I would love to help out in any way I could especially financially since i am known to be a math wiz IRL. So, just let me know if you have any questions to ask me at anytime and see what i could provide for your business.

1 pointAs an example of what I have in mind. A spreadsheet, for me and the other hitman to fill in. Hope you understand it, if you don't tell me, i will explain it further!
-
1 pointI totally am! I am currently busy creating a '' business '' for the Hitman. I kinda want a group, where lets say I am the leader. I have hitman for hire. People contact me, and I will have hits open for the '' members '' to choose from. They can pick the hit and confirm they take the hit. Payments will be 50/50 where the person who orders the hit has to pay in front. I am currently building it, I will link you some work when I'm done.
-
1 pointI was kinda thinking of a hitman crew! where people could join and I hand out the contracts or something.
-
1 pointIt also counts as replies to other forum posts. Just interact with the community, reply to people. Be nice. Help others out! + Usually the 1000+ post people are mods ( so far ) ++ Cmon though! Language bro! Try to be a bit more gentle !
-
1 pointAwesome! I guess that's how the smartphone feature is going to work out as well! :3 Could have A loosely organised Contract system yet still well hidden from the public and authorities. If it comes to it, if I need multiple professionals to carry out our contracts? You will be the first to know my fine Sah! (That also being having someone organise job opportunities for us. via smartphone or whatever is more "Under the Radar")
-
1 pointI am pretty sure we're getting every type of freedom we require. Not sure how the hitman feature will play out but I think it is going to be amazing! Can't wait! Maybe we can even work together as I am planning to become a hitman to!
-
1 pointYou won't get the choice to stop other players hearing the police radio. The best bet is that cops should not disclose anything around citizens e.g. locations or operations. Immersion is better than the tactics and not everyone will like everything as some things are better done than other things.

Good luck. If you need some help from a fellow biker! hit me up!

1 pointIt's all for balancing and gameplay purposes. - You cannot own a FEW businesses. That's no big deal. And things might change post-release. - You CAN loot bodies. Cash-on-hand during a bleed-out time. You can loot the rest (with the exception of clothing) once the player has died completely. - Not being able to break into houses is a good thing. More players wouldn't like this than the other way around. Your home, it being bought or rented, should be a safe zone. If there would be no personal safe zones, this game would be hell and I for one wouldn't like it one bit. Do know there will be more safe zones than just your housing. Malls for example will have metal detectors at the doors which will strip you from any weapon before entering.

1 pointI think I'll make a list with questions I'll stop answering over and over again. The info is out there. Enough is enough.

1 pointHey if you are looking for a guy that is great with numbers, then i am your guy, because who wouldn't love a Jew looking after their financial transactions. Age: 17 Country: U.S. Language: Russian (speak only) and fluent English sadly not Hebrew lol but I am a Jew so feel free to hit me up at anytime if you need any help taking off at anytime.
-
1 pointHey @Richge, your rewards will be available accross all stages of the game (modules, beta and final game of course). Be aware that not all rewards will be included in the modules for example (because they are not ready or don't fit in the module. A rusted car for example will not be available in town square module but maybe later in the racing module) But you will get all rewards in the final game.
-
1 pointWho doesn't want a Jew looking at their numbers. That's the dream. Anyways, just hit me up if u have a financial opening that u can give me. I got them Jewish math skills lol.

1 pointI Would really like to see Things that came from arma 3 Implemented Into Identity Such As Wreck Excavation Also That Would be a Great Idea But Would Cause Immense Amounts Of NPC Fish Swimming around
-
1 pointI believe they've already replied with "No one can own a casino." So it should be entirely ran by NPCs.

1 pointWow, what a month. It's been busy here at Asylum as usual, so let's get down to the interesting stuff! As expected, our current focus is on the Town Square so that we can get it out to you as soon as possible. We're finalising the interior of the library and art gallery (shared within one building) and adding polish to the environment. Once the clothing store interior is complete following that, the Town Square environment is ready to go. We'll continuously be adding more art after release though; specifically for house furnishings, decorations and clothing. In addition to the environment art, Miroslav (character artist) has been creating all sorts of hair assets which allow us to show hair appropriately when wearing a hat or helmet. This is a big task for him as it means making variations to match the hat options for each length of hair, but in the end it'll ensure your hair always looks as you'd expect when wearing headgear. Hair under a hat; work in progress Right next to the clothing shop you'll find a bicycle store where you can get a sneak preview of some of the bikes you'll be able to ride around in the full Identity release. We showed you a bicycle work in progress last blog post and now you can see the finished result of that below. This image will give you a rough idea of the detail level you'll see in Identity's vehicles. Ridable bicycle With more final systems coming online for the Town Square release, we now have functioning phones. Each player will start with a cellphone, although you'll be able to upgrade it with three mobile OS options available. The phone OS' each have a unique and interesting style. Characters also have a designated phone number assigned when they're created; you'll be able to get a custom number for a fee. These phones work just as you'd expect. You're able to dial up another player and speak with voice remotely. Businesses can even get a business line which, when called, will contact a member of that corporation who's online. Shot from an internal system test: advertising While the art of the billboard above isn't final, it gives you a very good idea of what you can expect in Identity for advertising. That's right, you can really publish messages around the world through billboards and other means. Corporations and those running for government office can purchase billboard space to help get their message out. You'll select a graphical template from a large list of options and then attach a brief message or other customization to make it your own. These billboards can also be moderated by the server operators. There are other similar advertising systems, too. For example digital road signs can be made to show custom messages by the current government. We can't wait to show you more of Identity, and we'll soon have that opportunity with the release of an overhauled website. Those current pledge packages are about to go away forever, and some of the rewards won't be available for purchase again after the new website changes. Also, follow us on our Twitch channel if you'd like to stop in and ask questions of the developers. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you'll find a few developers playing a random game from 4pm EST to 5pm EST. Ask any questions and they'll be happy to answer on stream. Catch some of Identity's developers hard at work and see how they make the magic happen: we'll be providing development streaming dates and times on Twitter, soon! -- John VanderZwet
