5 and 9 aside, you can do all those things! As for #10, I know Motown plans on being homeless. Given that he works on Identity for free, I think he's just planning for his real future.

I hope swimming is a lot better and faster in identity then it was in arma 3

Not meeting expectations of everyone is not a game flopping. That is more that people set their expectations too high and then they are disappointed even though the game was not going to be that high on expectations.

Any game can flop. Don't be surprised if this game doesn't meet the expectations that people have insanely set for it.

Greetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

I just want to grow and sell some pot to start off with. It will be great. I don't know the numbers needed, but if I could get a group of like-minded fellows together we could put our heads together and make some money. Have day jobs and let our little buds grow. Eventually, i want to make enough money to branch into more legal business. So we seem less shady. This is real rough draft, but I think if i get the right people, we can make a little empire.

I don't disagree with you, but A monthly dev blog is better because they can write more and it won't be like; "We are working on this", week later; "We are still working on this and now this." etc. I think well the devs didn't have years to wait as they had not got the funding at the time of the kickstarter and so really they announced the project way too early (At least a year) which is why it is taking longer than initially expected. Also they had no choice to do the kickstarter then as they needed funding and so really it is not there fault that they are delaying the module as they didn't start working on the game until after announcement and so really it is to be expected that it would be delayed as they are a small team as well.

I agree, mostly. But in all honestly, I find it more than normal human behavior to start expecting more and more, the longer a wait takes. This is solely a psychological viewpoint. People's imagination goes running wild while thinking about the game, the upcoming TS module, how they can have their first try at character creation, app/studio customization, etc. I'd blame both the people and the rather slow development posts for this. I know we get a LOT of intel during the 3 live streams each week, but let's be honest. How many people know of these streams other than the regular forum users? So a weekly dev log might help with this. At least people will know what's actually in the game, confirmed or denied, they'll know for sure. And maybe's remain maybe's.

Eh we can't really determine if this is a flop or not until the module(s) comes out or the full game releases.

If they add buns, they better add working scissors to the game too. Because I'll be the guy running around cutting them off. Be a man or a woman, hipsters are neither.

First we should wait for a release, then we can talk about a flop

Well seeing as when you respawn after dying and you don't lose your regular job/ business as there is no "Permanent" death, it would be reasonable to say that it will be the same with politicians on the official servers. Even though it is unrealistic, we cannot have everything realistic and sacrifices/ compromises are needed.

I might be interested in joining. But I'm not looking to join a drug cartel gang. But I'll maybe be interesting in earning some money on the side if you need help with transportation and stuff like that

Sounds fantastic! Hope that I can come for an interview on your show some day, or even debate against some of the other candidates!

Then if something bad happens to the kids its not responsibility of Asylum but its a fault of their families who let their kids play this game.Because they Said +18!!

By any chance would there be a way to work in a simple job like at a gas station?
  19. 1 point
Doesn't matter if the game is 18+ children will STILL play it just like they play every other "mature" game like GTA for example.... I've seen 10 year olds playing it online smh.

I am sorry if I offended you in anyway at all, I was seriously not being nasty, It was all in the sense of the roleplay and nothing else. In Identity I am a Biker Bitch, and thats the way we are!! But in real life I am very sorry if I made you upset. To bring this unsavory conversation to an end on a thread it does NOT belong on. I would like to state that I am NOT a DJ on this radio station. And my behavior in no way should reflect on the station. ANYONE WHOM WISHES TO SPEAK TO ME, PLEASE MESSAGE ME PERSONALLY. THANK YOU

Yet I never said that did I?? YOU are the one behaving rudely and inflammatory. If that is what you apparently think of him then tell him yourself; and leave me the hell out of your crap! And once again if that is the way you see it, that is on you. I am sick of all that shit about this to be honest. At NO point should I have been talked to by any moderator with the word "FUCK"!!!! So if all you want to come after me for what you perceived as my rudeness..... check that MOD out!!! Piss off!

This is the most common misconception. They rarely use the echo effect (real term: delay) in karaoke, but they mainly use reverb. These are two separate things. Delay (your 'echo', if you insist) -> sounds reflecting with a delay, which means there is noticeable silence between your input and the reflected sound you hear back. (examples: a long cave, a long tunnel) Reverb -> sounds reflect back and forth way shorter on your input. So there's basically no delay (we're speaking about milliseconds) between the inputted and outputted sound. (examples: cathedral/church, opera hall, etc.) Things get real fun if you add a delay on a reverb, or a reverb on a delay effect. (yes, obviously the order matters!) Other than this education, I like the idea and I do believe these things will be included with the karaoke. I'm not sure, but it seems logical if it would be. So it should be. About the streaming real TV shows, as long as YouTube allows it, it'll be available in Identity. So anything that YouTube (and Twitch for that matter) would ban/block/delete will be illegal in Identity as well. I'm sure Asylum have their legal business protected properly.

I dont think this has anything to do with identity development but some random guy learning how to use unreal and giving people examples and what not what he was working on it was posted back in feb last year..

Phones and cars can have a GPS. Houses DO each have a unique address, just like each player has a unique phone number.

There will be multiple Official servers for the Town Square Module but likely to be US servers only, however they could have European servers too. To claim your spot in the Modules and Beta, you have to buy the founders pack or above. Their is no limit to how many players can claim a spot in the Modules and Beta.

Wow, what a month. It's been busy here at Asylum as usual, so let's get down to the interesting stuff! As expected, our current focus is on the Town Square so that we can get it out to you as soon as possible. We're finalising the interior of the library and art gallery (shared within one building) and adding polish to the environment. Once the clothing store interior is complete following that, the Town Square environment is ready to go. We'll continuously be adding more art after release though; specifically for house furnishings, decorations and clothing. In addition to the environment art, Miroslav (character artist) has been creating all sorts of hair assets which allow us to show hair appropriately when wearing a hat or helmet. This is a big task for him as it means making variations to match the hat options for each length of hair, but in the end it'll ensure your hair always looks as you'd expect when wearing headgear. Hair under a hat; work in progress Right next to the clothing shop you'll find a bicycle store where you can get a sneak preview of some of the bikes you'll be able to ride around in the full Identity release. We showed you a bicycle work in progress last blog post and now you can see the finished result of that below. This image will give you a rough idea of the detail level you'll see in Identity's vehicles. Ridable bicycle With more final systems coming online for the Town Square release, we now have functioning phones. Each player will start with a cellphone, although you'll be able to upgrade it with three mobile OS options available. The phone OS' each have a unique and interesting style. Characters also have a designated phone number assigned when they're created; you'll be able to get a custom number for a fee. These phones work just as you'd expect. You're able to dial up another player and speak with voice remotely. Businesses can even get a business line which, when called, will contact a member of that corporation who's online. Shot from an internal system test: advertising While the art of the billboard above isn't final, it gives you a very good idea of what you can expect in Identity for advertising. That's right, you can really publish messages around the world through billboards and other means. Corporations and those running for government office can purchase billboard space to help get their message out. You'll select a graphical template from a large list of options and then attach a brief message or other customization to make it your own. These billboards can also be moderated by the server operators. There are other similar advertising systems, too. For example digital road signs can be made to show custom messages by the current government. We can't wait to show you more of Identity, and we'll soon have that opportunity with the release of an overhauled website. Those current pledge packages are about to go away forever, and some of the rewards won't be available for purchase again after the new website changes. Also, follow us on our Twitch channel if you'd like to stop in and ask questions of the developers. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you'll find a few developers playing a random game from 4pm EST to 5pm EST. Ask any questions and they'll be happy to answer on stream. Catch some of Identity's developers hard at work and see how they make the magic happen: we'll be providing development streaming dates and times on Twitter, soon! -- John VanderZwet
