3 pointsIt's posts like this that make me afraid of pre-ordering. I've been seeing complaints about the delay and the lack of communication a lot! I have noticed there is a severe lack of information on the game overall.. I'm hoping this game will not flop!
-
3 points@Lexan Don't worry about your accent, people in america love foreign accents. Just enjoy the game and have fun!
-
2 pointsI can see a lot of people complaining about having to wait. Speaking from personal experience with alpha/beta testing of other big games, it takes a lot of time to release something that isn't going to break straight away. Give it time and we will see the results of the time we have waited
-
2 pointsI don't believe it matters if you have an accent or if you don't speak English fluently. You should never be embarrassed by these things. Not everyone is from an English speaking country. The main thing is to play the game and have fun while you do!
-
2 pointsIt would surprise me that the game does not come out. First, developers have presented us content, it does not come out of nowhere.. Then, players who scream at the scam ((Who, I am sure, will be the first to say that they have always believed in it) are accustomed to the games of big companies like Rockstar, Bethesda or other, which can release a game in 1 ou 2 years. They forget a little quickly that these boxes there several hundred employees who working full time (Who, besides, merely improves their old games rather than recreate everything). Here they are very few, but with a lot of ambitions, so it's normal that the game takes much more time to develop

1 pointFAQ (Publish Questions You Want Below!) Everyone has had questions about the police department, so I'm here to make an FAQ from information from the developers, and also plain simple answers. (Not all information is guaranteed to be correct and any developer/staff member can leave a comment stating anything different to what I have said.) 1. Can I be [This Rank]? Answer: I have already discussed this with Motown and it is clear that on your own private servers that yes, you are able to choose who is which rank, however on the official servers. Motown has said that it is unlikely in the first place that there will be a police chief (On steam). And he has also told me that even if there is It will be a staff member or a developer. Other Points: Points above confirmed, however, it is not clear to me yet whether there will be a ranking system at all, or whether it will depend on time played on the server etc. 2. Is there going to be an age limit for the police department? Answer: It is very unlikely that there will be an age limit as they do not want to restrict players to what they can do in-game, also players do not want to be hyped up for police department and then not be able to become a police officer. Other Points: Confirmed 3. What are the amounts for the citations going to be? Answer: It is likely that the ticket/citation prices will be preset as this will stop the few 1 or 2 trolls who want to try and ticket someone $99999 for not stopping at a stop sign. But there will probably be different prices for each type of ticket, for example, a different price from Reckless Driving to Speeding. Other Points: Confirmed 4. Will there be trials/courtrooms? Answer: From what I've heard, yes. There will be courtrooms and trials, so there is a possibility that there will indeed be bail. However that is not confirmed, although I think this would be a good idea since not that many people with have money at the start so it won't be like every single person gets bailed. Other Points: Read below Warning: Motown has now confirmed with me that there will be NO bail. The below is a quote from Motown about the jailing system: "When you are sent to prison, you can request a trial if your prison sentence is over 15 minutes. If your trail is accepted, you can plead your case or have your selected lawyer plead your case for you, in front of a row or player jurors. After your time is up to plead your case, they vote guilty or not guilty. There is no player judge. If voted Not guilty, you get set free, and if voted guilty, you get sent back to the prison yard" 5. Will there be sub-divisions (SWAT, Aviation, K9 etc)? Answer: Well we already know that SWAT will be a thing due to the module being shown here. However, we have not been told about K9, Aviation etc yet. I believe that they will not be a thing until the servers are up and running with a strong police system first. As we do not want 10 K9 officers and 2 officers on duty, with 9 dogs running around. And helicopters will probably not be needed at the start. As well as this the developers need to focus on the original police system and the SWAT module before they do anything else. Other Points: There might be different skins for different parts of the map, but this is also unlikely as the whole map will probably just be one police force. Read Below Warning: Motown has now confirmed that they will be looking into K9 someday, but aircraft will not be a thing, even for the police. This is a quote from Motown below: "We'd like to do a K9 unit someday, but for now when or if we ever add animals that can follow the player outside in the open world rather than just apartments/houses. There also will not be any aircraft in Identity, even for police." Motown has also said below the following: "There will be SWAT and detective divisions for the police force, with a limited number of consecutive spots. If Too many SWAT or detectives, or not enough regular cops are online, then the slots are limited" 6. What will the maximum sentence time be? Answer: The maximum sentence time has "For now" been confirmed to be 45 minutes. Although due to them stating it's only, for now, this may change in the future. Other points: Confirmed by a developer, also obviously not every single sentence will be 45 minutes long. It depends on the time. 7. Can an off-duty officer help out another on-duty officer? Answer: A moderator states that there is no way to help unless other officers are in uniform. (On both public and private servers) Other points: A developer also stated that they want there to be a very clear difference between civilians and officers. By Scotty THIS WILL BE UPDATED BELOW!!!!

1 pointYes each city is centred around different US city's like 1 of Identity's cities is like a New York, Atlanta and another city but the laws in game don't generally get put as the US federal laws or anything. There will likely be default laws which the governor cannot changed but then you can make laws which could be similar to anything really in reason obviously.

1 pointYes you will be able to still purchase into the game and the modules and beta. But the prices will rise up and also most / all of the rewards will change and so you will likely look at paying the full price for the Citizen package which is the full game being a $45 at retail price. The Founder pack will also likely be higher than that and so if they both increase by the same amount, founder could possibly be $60, however this is not confirmed and could both be increased by as little as much as that. I personally think the only 2 options that will be available is the "Citizen" and "Founder" pledges while being raised in price but that is my personal opinion and could be wrong; however all or most of the pledge rewards will be gone with prices of packages going up.

1 pointYou shouldn't be ashamed of your accent that doesn't even make sense! You are who you are and don't worry about what anyone thinks. Plus most people like foreign accents like @Tanner_ said.

1 pointYou speak of pretentiousness and yet here you are acting like you've got a life of experience on your back, and a degree in your hand. I did not ever specifically mention community ITEMS. I said community-driven, as in that the majority of gameplay comes from the community (as in jobs, roleplay, politics, etc.). In your own stupidity, you just skimmed over my post and assumed yourself to be right, then went on a rampage writing as fast as you could about something that I never said. But my apologies as well, I wasn't aware that all Game Developers had to fit into a specific stereotype in order to be game developers. I'll work on that. You say that it's not only community-based stuff, and you're right about 5% of the game isn't community-driven. But as for the politics, jobs, roleplay, economy, criminal activity, corporations, and just about everything else in the game, it is community-driven. So I would heavily implore you to read up on the game before going off as if you knew what you were talking about. And sorry that a concerned member of the community expressed their concerns. From this day forward I should automatically assume that all my concerns are meaningless, simply because I am apparently too incompetent in your eyes to understand the grand projects that are being laid before me. And I will refrain from any further comment, for I was unaware that I had to be perfect in your eyes in order to express even the slightest amount of worry for a game that I care so deeply about, and which you seem to know very little about.

1 pointIm genuinly very skeptical about this whole game. • They claim they have the map nearly complete, but all we have seen is an overhead veiw of the map (maybe even concept art). • They are telling us they have all the guns fully working, but have not showed a single gun whatsoever. (I know a video is meant to be released soon, if/when that happens) • All we have seen is a camera panning around a prison and showing a character stood still inside. (It didnt go into third person to show that there is actually character interation between 2 people, not did it show the character moving. • We have seen a video of a house that you can edit with 'some' furnishings. Although they did not show other characters within the apartment nor did they show outside the windows. • They showed a garage with a car in and a menu but did not click on anything or show any other mods of the car. • Everything else seems to be concept art. Personally it looks like they are dragging it out and releasing extremely minimal amounts of video evidence of the game to keep people onboard and buying the pledges. The first section is a town square with minimal content. If they do release this town square and you can edit an apartment, it will be interesting to see if all you can edit is exactly the same as the video... I am only picking the points out because I am genuinly worried that this is not a real game and just a 'donation grab', i hope to god i am wrong because it will be one hell of a game that i'd happily pay a monthly subscriptions or DLC.

1 pointThere are 2 sexes not 2 genders. Male and female are sex (penis/vagina). Gender is defined by who you identify yourself as a person.

1 pointHey there fellow people! I'm here to give my opinion on this. I don't want any argument and I ain't here to complain as I don't really care about when it will go out or whatever, I got all my time. I'm a bit disappointed with their interaction with us though. What about those weekly tweet answers we used to get? And all those videos we got promised? I mean.. I've been working on a game for two months now, I'm a one man team, I work on modelling/programming/texturing and much more everyday and i still got the time to make two 20 mins videos to present all the gameplay mechanics and interfaces we've made (2 months and we got game mechanics and interfaces ready for final release) so I'd just like to know.. Is it pure laziness or is it just that you guys REALLY have nothing to show that could be intereting? I personally released a video on test gameplay mechanics and people loved it so.. Yeah. What do you guys think? I'm still hyped for the game, don't you worry.

1 pointI don't think, as it's a basic functionality of the game, but it doesn't matter, I would have the chatbox to speak and then we never know, the micro will do a good training
-
1 pointWow, over 400,000 views! Now, what we need is another video from Identity, they haven't really brought us one in quite a while,
-
1 pointExactly if you want to pledge more so they can hire more and get bigger teams so thing can go more smoothly awesome but never ask for earlier release dates because that's when games go to shit because they get released way too soon and things get unfinished and shit crashes....let the devs take their time so we can have a beautiful game that everyone can love

1 pointDude this is getting annoying. I'm not on the Dev's Side or the Impatient Community's. However, yes, it is taking a LONG time to develop this game. For one, let me point out some things for each side. BE PATIENT: - The game is literally the closest thing we will ever see to a real-life RPG simulator. Of course it's going to take a long time to create such a large game. - I'm not familiar with how many developers they have, but I'm sure they don't have many. What do you expect off of a small team of developers? - If you are skeptical of the game's release, go ahead and refund your pledge. - We're most likely less than a month away from the first module. It's summer so it's not like you have to go to school, just wait. - If you are so impatient to just see how the game's doing, check the Twitch streams. Another thing you can do is check the dev blogs, or subscribe to the emails, etc. WE'RE IMPATIENT: - Of course, we're impatient. They said the first module would be released in EARLY 2017, now it is a little above MID 2017. We have a right to get upset for that. - They aren't really talking to the community when it comes to the forums, which is the one place that most of the community is. Of course, they are on Discord and stuff, but they need to talk to their fans more to keep the faith in the game, because some fans are starting to get a little bit flustered. - Since it's already halfway through 2017, is the release going to be pushed back too? Only 6-9 months left until the full release of the game on Steam, and if the first module isn't even out until July, the 7th month, then what is it going to look like for the rest of the modules? I'm guessing there is going to be at least 1 month break between modules, so if there are I THINK 4 modules, then around 8 months, barely. If they can stay consistent, they will be able to release the game in about a little more than half a year from now.
-
1 pointI dont think that this game is just a "Prank" It needs some time, and yes much time has gone but we need to wait. Think Positive

1 pointNo body can answer that because the Dev's refuse to communicate with the community.

1 pointCrowd funding is truly a gamble. Most of the time you have people begging for cash, and you get some half-assed .exe file, but Asylum Entertainment has so far created believable content. I admit I have questions about guns and vehicles feeling realistic, and how far you can go with character customization. I doubt it's gonna be close to a SQUAD, EVE Online character customization, DIRT Rally formula. But so far considering it's only a small team taking the weight of Star Citizen on their shoulders and experience of ARMA 3 Life, I'd say they're quite ambitious for now. I'll just live my life as is for now. I do have a little wishful thinking about Leslie Benzies hiring Asylum Entertainment for the "Everywhere" project. And hopefully the two emerging as one.
-
1 pointIt's for the people that believe they identify as "another gender" other than the only two possible.
-
1 pointGuys, y'all need to chill out. They will have reasonable explanation and i doubt that will take more than 3 days to the next devblog, the game will come when the game is done. You guys probably never heard but, last year a game that was awaited for a bunch of people called ToS was released earlier than it should, first 3 week of the game avg population was 60k players but it had so many bugs and lag that people gave up on the game , nowadays it reaches 8k on the weekends, i know they are taking a bit longer than what they said but give them time and im sure this game will be a master piece
-
1 pointPlus the money help the dev alot.. We live in a world where we want everthing right away, but a game take long time to be created (a game with a size of a gta here..) Yes, we don't have news very often from the devs, BUT, in my opinion, we must already be grateful for them to beggin and work on such a great project (with so few people !) 'Cause othewise, there would be nothing Lastly, no one has forced you to pay, it helps gratly the devs, and allows them to have maybe a salary and to recruit more people in the team. [edit] Do not think i'm giving you a lesson or else i'm also hurry that we can play it ! but complain and asking refunds will not get the game out faster. In the worst case the game will be slapdash and we will all be very disappointed.. Find you another occupation in the meantime (like many of us), and when the first module will be released, you will very quickly know (Again, sorry if my english is not very good..)

1 pointDear, I saw some ideas about architecture but it wouldn't be a thing because some houses would be really ugly. So my idea was that you first of all have to apply to the city counsil or server managers. On top of that, once you created your design, you have to send it to a certain organisation (maybe the city counsil) and they decide if it can be build. The building of it would also create more jobs and variety in the jobs. It may be a little bit harder to create and to program, but the houses and interiors would vary much more. The very rich people can then also say how they want their house and this could be a job for an architectural firm. Also the city counsil may give some jobs like designing new appartements. This would make the game even more realistic and in depth, tell me what you think about this... Greets Daniel Almeida

1 pointIm bored so im going to share my character idea. Name: Ximena Castillo NickName: Mena Race/Ethnicities/Nationality: Family is from the Dominican Republic but is mostly Black and Latina Looks: Medium-Dark Skin with long, thick curly hair. Dark brown eyes and thick lips. Rather thin but not bone thin. Has some meat on her bones Goals: To make as much money and to accumulate as much power as she possibly can whether through legal or illegal methods Personality: While she is not completely selfish she is very goal oriented. She sees the value in friendships and how it can be very profitable in the long run but will not hesitate to throw a little betrayal their way to boost herself. However, she will also not hesitate backing up her own. She will have no problem using people if it will benefit her. Personal Facts: Distrustful of White People but will work with them. Business is Business. Sexuality: Attracted to generous people with large amounts of money Education: High School Diploma. No college education Natural Assets: Looks, Charm, Resourceful Background: Ximena Castillo was born to Santiago Castillo and Maria Vargas in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. Her parents although loving were living in poverty. They did the best they could but that wasn't enough for her. She resented her parents for giving her a life she felt like she didn't deserve. Her parents just kept loving her even tho she felt like she didn't feel the same way. Throughout she was always doing something. Whether it was pickpocketing or selling rock salt under the guise that they were crystals to younger kids she was always doing something. At age 19 she had a thing with a local boy her age named Mateo. He got her pregnant and were together. Her parents didn't approve and for good reason. He was a master manipulator at heart. He convinced her to steal money from her parents and even rob an old woman. After about a month of this, he gave her an ultimatum. Leave her parents and baby behind and travel to the States with him or get left behind by Mateo. She loved Mateo and agreed to leave with him. She should soon realize that this would be the worst mistake of her life. She goes with him all the way to Manzanillo to the Sea Port to get on a cargo ship to the States. When they arrive she is told by Mateo that she has to sleep with the crew members so that they will allow them on. She was being used but she went along with it still thinking that Mateo loves her. She does what he has to do and they get on the ship. When they arrive in the States she is so excited for their new lives together. However, she is hit with a bombshell. Mateo wants nothing to do with her. He throws her away like garbage. She was just a means to an end. A pawn in his game. She thought she had true love but she then realized that her love was home. Her child and her parents He leaves her alone in a strange new place. She convinced a man to let her stay at his apartment for sex and stayed for a little while. It was during this time that she hardened up. She finally realized that if she was going to survive then she can't survive on looks alone. In a way, she became what she hated so much in Mateo. She became ruthless. After a while, Mena decided not to dwell on the past and wanted a fresh start. She made her way to the Island that Identity takes place in and will be determined to come into her own. However, her life changing choice to abandon her baby and parents and her treatment of ungratefulness towards them will haunt her.

1 pointI'm going to be a stripper in identity and I'll play as a female I am female in real life and I hate playing as male characters. When I roleplay I have to relate to my character- that's why I always make them tall, pale and plump. I can't relate to a penis-creature. v.v
-
1 pointI would probably choose to be a male, although selecting a female would make gameplay interesting because players would treat you a little differently, it's definitely something interesting. With VOIP in the game, I'll most likely just stick with a male character since it fits me.
