4 pointsSo No Offence To The Devs But I'm Starting To Loose Interest Because Iv Been Waiting For Too Long I Mean I Pledged In The Middle Of 2016 And I Pledged Because The Website Said It Would Be Out In Late February To Early March Three Months Later Here We Are With Nothing. If I Where The Devs I Would Be On A Rush To Get This Thing Out But It Seems Like There Taking There Sweet Time Like They Have Nothing But Time. If Its Not Out Before September I Want My Money Back Because That's Whats Called A Deal Breaker My Fellow Pledgers And I Know What Your Thinking They Want To Make Sure Everything Is Done And In Working Order And I'm Completely Fine With That At Least They Could Give Us A Rough Release Date Or Even Just Update Us More I Mean If You Go To The Dev Blogs The Last One Was Like TWO MONTHS AGO. https://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/5691-dev-blog-006-a-dynamic-environment/ I'm Just Thinking Out Loud Here. With Hope This Is ODiggityDog Signing Off

3 pointsYou got me on that one Like for real. I'm full of hope for that game that's for sure but the more I see you guys worrying, the more I think about it and wonder if we're not being scammed in a big scale.I don't want to start an argument or whine about it, no. I just want to say this is fishy. But as I said I'm full of hope and it might really be amazing ! Which is why I'm not asking for a refund.

2 pointsWho are we? We are a small startup company that's aim isn't to pocket millions but to provide a service for the public. We charge very fair prices to ensure the client gets a good profit as well as us. However we will never do anything that will lose us money, were not a charity. We also now have a website. _________________________________________________________________________ What do we do? We offer a safe and secure way for radio shows, bands, celebrities etc to sell their merchandise. If you choose to sell your merchandise you do not have to worry about stock, security or workers. All you need to do is make sure you have a fan base willing to buy your merch. We will ensure that as long as there is demand we will keep your merch stocked up. Working with us will give you a stress free way to sell. We also may start selling our own clothing in the future which will be at a very competitive price. _________________________________________________________________________ How do we work? When a client first reaches out to us we ask for basic information. How much do you think you will sell every week? How much do you want to sell for? Once we establish all the details then we work out how much it will cost us to sell the products i.e manufacturing, shipping etc. We then check that the price the client wants to sell for is greater than the price to sell. If it is then we give the client the all clear and production begins straight away. If not then we will try to get the cost to sell down even lower or else ask the client if they would be willing to bring the price up. Our shop will be open 24/7 (provided the game allows this feature) to ensure the client and us make the maximum profit. _________________________________________________________________________ Fine details We offer 3 tiers which our clients can choose from- Tier 1 - $29 (3 designs base split of 60/40) Tier 2 - $49 (5 designs base split of 70/30) Tier 3 - $99 (10+ designs base split of 80/20) These are weekly prices which are there to ensure that if the clients design doesn't sell we will still make money. Also if the clients design isn't selling we will contact the client and give them a warning and if they don't improve on this then we will stop selling their designs. Also within each tier the client can choose to sell in store or online. Selling online will reduce the fees by 20%. For every 10 sales a clients design makes their share of the base split increases by 1%. At the end of each week it resets back to the base split. We think this is very fair as if the client sold the merch themselves they would have to buy a store, pay employees, ensure the shop is secure and do all the nitty gritty work with shipping companies and manufacturing companies. _________________________________________________________________________ Want to sell your merch? If you would like to sell your own merch then please click here _________________________________________________________________________ Careers Any of our employees with receive benefits like in store discounts, free clothing etc. Below is a list of the jobs currently available but this may change so feel free to submit any job aplications. 2 pointsAge is just a number, maturity its what this game needs, he can be 15 and do a great rp while someone at 25 could be a douch RDMing all the time
-
2 pointsThey said there will be a text chat for RP'ers that feel more comfortable RPing with text chat. " Text chat will be available to you in Identity! There will be local chat, as well as private messaging. We acknowledge that the convenience of voice chat isn't always what people want in every situation. Whether you are shy, or you want to pretend to be someone else, or even if someone in your proximity is trying to sleep, we don't want to suppress your ability to get a message across, but we do think that those who want and will use voice chat, will inherently have an enhanced experience in Identity " -Motown

2 pointsAhah, but politicians make real promises, they never do anything I understand, we all want this game SO MUCH But personally I prefer to wait a little and that the game is wonderful.. (nothing more to say on the subject for me..)
-
2 pointsGuys, y'all need to chill out. They will have reasonable explanation and i doubt that will take more than 3 days to the next devblog, the game will come when the game is done. You guys probably never heard but, last year a game that was awaited for a bunch of people called ToS was released earlier than it should, first 3 week of the game avg population was 60k players but it had so many bugs and lag that people gave up on the game , nowadays it reaches 8k on the weekends, i know they are taking a bit longer than what they said but give them time and im sure this game will be a master piece
-
2 pointsThey never promised a release date, nothing official. They give us a estimate based on the progress of their work.. Yes it take much time, but it proves that they do not want to release a half-finished game. You can reassure yourself by saying that you can play the module until the final release.. and that the other two will probably not take as much time as the first. @LuckyDuck Oh i didn't see, sorry This is for 'the other' in this case.
-
2 pointsRegardless, promises have been made and promises have been broken. We don't want to hear "making a game is hard" - we get that. This is a module were hyped about, not the full game, it will have very few features. Not to mention I've been lead to believe they are creating false hype and raising prices AFTER the first module to scrap up as much money as they can before they either announce the game is cancelled/dead - OR before they delay the module about 5 more times. I'm sick of this game and so are my friends, we refuse to pledge - at this point , it's a matter of sitting back watching, waiting, for the game to go somewhere. Not to wait when it comes out.
-
2 pointsPlus the money help the dev alot.. We live in a world where we want everthing right away, but a game take long time to be created (a game with a size of a gta here..) Yes, we don't have news very often from the devs, BUT, in my opinion, we must already be grateful for them to beggin and work on such a great project (with so few people !) 'Cause othewise, there would be nothing Lastly, no one has forced you to pay, it helps gratly the devs, and allows them to have maybe a salary and to recruit more people in the team. [edit] Do not think i'm giving you a lesson or else i'm also hurry that we can play it ! but complain and asking refunds will not get the game out faster. In the worst case the game will be slapdash and we will all be very disappointed.. Find you another occupation in the meantime (like many of us), and when the first module will be released, you will very quickly know (Again, sorry if my english is not very good..)
-
2 pointslike a friend told me, its taking them this long to release a town and get it to work, this game wont be out until like 2020
-
2 pointsFor me (a 63 year old kid) I will RP the game as best I can. I will interact with all other people as I need to in the game. If someone does not do well or just does not like the game then I will just not see them in the town square coffee shop any more. Age will not matter to me because they will be another person in the square. Age of players is an issue that I do not want to get into so I will deal with whomever I meet in the game and move on. I hope to make some friends to have coffee with no matter their real age. Lets all RP and hope it's a pleasant experience.

2 pointsIdentity's development has been moving at a pace we've never experienced in the past. With added full-time programming and art talent, we've been able to produce more content in a shorter time than expected. With all of the base features of Town Square in place, we've now been building up the supporting systems; the menu interfaces, server selection systems, character creation and more are well underway now. You'll get a good preview of the character customization soon! Ridable bicycle; work in progress Some exciting progress is also being seen beyond the Town Square! Our vehicle systems are starting to get fleshed out. We found the integrated Unreal Engine vehicle subsystems to be inadequate for the realism and fidelity we seek, so Identity will run on an entirely rebuilt vehicle physics engine. With this you can expect extremely realistic handling of bicycles, cars, vans, motorcycles, semi-trucks and more. We've got the Twitch Game development is an exciting career that many gamers aspire for. Just a couple of weeks ago we had test run streaming our development live on Twitch. In our first stream, our character artist Miroslav added different eyebrow varieties to Identity character head models. These are some of the eyebrow options you'll be able to choose when creating your characters; get an inside look at the work which goes into even a small detail as this. While the task Miroslav had at the time might not have been the most exciting, we're in the process of setting up a schedule for very regular streams from a variety of development departments. Keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for stream time announcements. Click the preview below to watch the recorded stream. It runs at just under an hour in duration. Identity's first Dev Stream: Miroslav's Eyebrows You can find our Twitch channel at Twitch.tv/IdentityRPG. Follow us there to get notified when an Identity developer starts streaming! Path to the Town Square Town Square early revision; work in progress A lot of Town Square work has been accomplished since the last dev blog! From interface to animations and more feature polish, the Town Square is shaping up into a genuinely interesting social environment. We've been making everything we can in the environment interactive. If it looks like it would have some sort of purpose in reality, we're making it useful (or at least entertaining) in Identity, too! Grab a newspaper for the latest happenings, toss a coin into the fountain or grab a can of soda from the machine. Visual dynamics have been added as well. Simple things bring immersion to the environment. The clocks on buildings and towers show the real in-game time, the cinema marquee sign shows the movies playing with real times (which can be adjusted by owners of community servers in retail Identity) and more. We're making the Identity environment, and thus that in Town Square, feel alive and interactive. A hotel lobby at night -- John VanderZwet

1 pointToday we have launched the new Identity website, bringing you the most up-to-date information available on Identity game features, media and development news. This website is still temporary while a studio of web-ninjas completes our new epic website, but you'll now find much more regular updates here at IdentityRPG.com. Be sure to check out our DevTracker for all the latest from our community manager, Motown. Motown answers questions on social media and these forums every day, so it's the best place to be to find the latest tidbits of information on Identity. We'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions for the Identity website!
-
1 pointWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

1 pointWhy is this game so delayed! I mean come on the web was plastered with ''early 2017'' now mid 2017 and not even module 1....
-
1 pointhey everyone! how are you doing? i just pledged 15 dollars and i'm very excited for this game! i have one question though, would i have access to the modules when they come out or would i have to wait until full release to play? Thanks
-
1 pointI just stumbled upon this game and was immediately intrigued with what it has to offer! I already donated in anticipation to spend countless hours to Identity, hopefully along with many others! I anticipate meeting a lot of neat and interesting people! cheers~
-
1 pointHi everyone! I'm fascinated by this and eager to learn more about the game and get involved. This is the kind of MMORPG I've been waiting for and I can't wait to play it. I'm sure that the streaming and YouTube community will be excited about the potential this game offers, too. Anyhow, see you all around
-
1 pointHello Identians! Not sure if everyone's noticed but the Identity Developers have been updating there statistics very often. And when I say often I mean "Every... Single... Day." That means you'll be able to check the website every single day seeing how many more players (and pledges they're earning) are signing up to play Identity. A lot of new changes are coming to Identity. Such as their NEW UPCOMING website launch. Keep your fingers crossed, we've got a lot coming our way!

1 pointYes but my point was that it happens with Triple A games having delays but they also have 5 years working on it at least and well this is a indie team that have been working on this game for half of what they have or not even that. These devs are in a small team still and have made some mistakes on time frame of when the module would release but have had to delay it a few times because of the bad estimate. You should expect things being pushed back and well if games which have had 5+ years in dev and yet they push their full game release date back. Just put yourself in their position and what would you do if you was making this game? Would you push it back if the module was not finished and you wanted it top notch and finished when it was released?
-
1 pointOfficial servers will be English only likely as it is easier to maintain that way. If you want a different language to english then Private community servers are the way to go. I think their will be some specific language servers after full release.
-
1 pointIm sorry but why did you capitalize every word? that is just pure cancer How ever i do agree, i am loosing interest in this also, it looks like a great game, but taking too long to release jsut the start of it... delays after delays... will give people a reason to criticize the game on release... i mean, i can see why they wanna release it in a perfect state... but.... with delay after delay.... the slightest thing wrong... will piss anyone off who has had to wait. Releasing it now... even if there is a gaping hole in the center of the map, will surely generate them more money than what they are getting now? this game would be a huge hit.. i mean massive... Arma3 life wont be a thing anymore once this is out, but.... they continue to make us wait... while arma3... as buggy as it is... is out now... with people actually playing it. i know the devs are busy, but im starting to wonder if they are busy snorting coke of a hookers chest than actually giving us something. i was looking forward to this game, but as every week that goes by, that becomes less and less. Asylum Entertainment... you have a great vision here, you guys need to do something ASAP or you will loose the genuine followers... the people who actually supported you to make this what it will be come... the wait has become a bit of a joke, i understand the detail, the level and the time and effort that you guys are putting into this... but my girlfriend is starting to show you guys up, and to me... that aint on **edit** i just read the extended FAQ psot... late 2017 early 2018? you shitting me? how does one get a refund? thats jsut not on... take our money and run
-
1 pointYou will have to pay for it before you download it and play it. Prices are heavily discounted at this time. So if you trust this project and believe in developers you can go pledge right now.
-
1 pointMaybe they'll introduce something like Design so you can create your own stuff and sell them! Would be cool too
-
1 pointhas there been an update on anything or reasoning mentioned on the missed deadline for the dev blog? i know alot of us where stupidly excited to see what they would come out with, its currently 9:45PM their time so i will go on a limb and say there wont be one released anytime tonight but i could be wrong.

1 point10/10 times if you follow me on the forums, I'll probably follow back lol.
-
1 pointThanks to you both, as someone new to the forums the Identity devs seem so distant and detached from the community. I dont feel they are working as hard as they should, this game will make millions but if they dont hurry the F up everybody is gonna find a different game FACT
-
1 pointThe only thing anyone ever gives for an answer is, "delay" "cant rush" " things take time" i dont think we ever will know whats causing them to be so many months behind, but just hope they finish soon before people lose interest. i honestly wish they communicated a lot more to the community about these things and progress and such.

1 pointI personally believe that every citizen of Identity should have access to firearms (with some exceptions). I think that it is crucial for people to have this right because if the government and cops have all the guns then they can do what ever they want to the civilian population of this island. This would also heavily fuel the illegal weapons trade which would result in more deaths and crime. Another point that I would like to make is that it's not the law-abiding citizens who you have to worry about, it's the criminals who are going to get guns anyway and commit their crime. I want people to be able to defend themselves from these criminals. After all it is every man's inalienable right to bear arms! Now to the exceptions that I was talking about. These would be people who have been convicted of violent crimes or have been hospitalized for mental health issues in the past. They will not be allowed to purchase a firearm. Violent crimes include robbery, murder, illegal affiliated gang involvement, and many more. Legal firearms will include pistols, rifles, and shotguns that are not automatic. You will need to get a special permit to carry an automatic rifle from the governmental office. You will also have to submit to a background check. If you want to purchase a civilian grade weapon (semi-auto) you will need a licence (the licence you can get from the gun store) and have to submit to a background check as well. My last point on this issue is that banning all guns will hurt a crucial legal business and that is gun trading/selling or manufacturing. This would cut jobs and make people poorer in the end. This would also shift the money supposed to be going into law abiding citizen's pockets to gangs and underground dealers thus promoting more crime. Questions? Please ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. Note: Since the game hasn't come out yet there is no telling what I can and cannot do for laws. This is where I stand as of right now,

1 pointDATE POSTED: March 24th, 2017 Big changes for a bigger world! What a crazy time for the Identity development team over here at Asylum! We've been running all over the place for conferences and expos this month, including both GDC and PAX East, where we met all sorts of new talent and potential technology partners. We've unfortunately had to push back the release of the Town Square module from our original Q1 2017 release with all of the big developments here, but most systems are in place and it's not far off! The biggest and most exciting news we're officially announcing today is a new partnership with Improbable, the creators of SpatialOS! The Identity team has been testing the waters with SpatialOS for a couple of months now and we're incredibly excited about what it's going to mean for Identity. Identity can now be what we all hoped it would be, a true MMORPG in scale. SpatialOS is going to power Identity behind the scenes, allowing absolutely enormous scale for our world and the people playing in it. While we had originally hoped to be able to get 300 people into our servers with decent performance, with just a tiny bit more effort we're going to be able to expand that as far as the game needs. Instead of 300 players in a single server, we could now potentially have thousands. The size of our servers are now going to be set based on what we feel is ideal for a fun and immersive environment and we're not limited technically like we were expecting in the past. It opens more doors than simply the number of players on a server, too. With these changes we can now afford to have a more dynamic and interactive world. We've gained some freedom in manipulating the world and we can create features which we never imagined possible in a game of Identity's scale. This is all extremely exciting for the team. This technology is a scope-changer and Identity is going to be far better for it. Not only will our world grow, not only will the population be denser, but you'll even be able to leave your mark in many new ways. Development charging forward Concept art for Town Square art gallery and library, featuring player content We're working and expanding at an incredible rate. All key gameplay features for Town Square are now functional as we add polish and work to support SpatialOS in Identity. The development team has expanded with terrific new talent: Antoine joins Identity's 3D art team, Cody comes on board as a new systems and gameplay programmer and Liam comes in as our first dedicated web developer. Antoine and Cody both bring experience in their field to hasten development for Town Square and Identity as a whole. Liam's talents mean exciting new features on our website will be popping up soon. We've had plenty planned for our website for some time but haven't had the resources to bring these to you, until now.

1 pointI know the discussion has already been started but i feel like pilots would be great in this game. Private pilots or commercial. Business or pleasure. im not sure how big the world of Identity is going to be but im pretty confident there is room for a small municipal airport, whether it be a grass/dirt or paved runway. Aircraft wise can be as simple as a small Cessna 172, Piper Cub for pleasure to Cessna caravans for cargo and C-295's. There is so much opportunity and freedom with aviation if it was introduced into the game. Business wise, people could work to purchase an aircraft and pay to keep it in a hangar or tied down on a ramp. The aircraft could be used to transport cargo from one end of the map to the other, or it can be used for sight seeing or planning routes for trucking. Also those who peruse it can in turn make a business as an instructor teaching others how to fly. There are alot of jobs that can open up from adding aviation into the game. whether its and airport operator, to pilot, to aviation maintenance personal. You could even go as far as an owner of an aircraft renting it out for business.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

1 pointHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

1 pointHello everyone! I am Olio! I was previously the Community Manager for Asylum's Entertainment's "Altis Life" mission file on Arma 3, and ever since the day I stepped foot onto Altis Life, I have been hooked with what Paratus and Motown have created as well as the great community that surrounds the Altis Life format. I am an active PC gamer across many genres. I was extremely excited to hear about Identity being started and I am extremely excited for its release and being a part of the ever growing community of Asylum Entertainment. As a leader in the customer service industry, I thoroughly enjoy working with people, creating resolutions for issues and striving to create win/win situations for everyone. If you ever need any help feel free to contact me here on the forums or Identities Official Discord and I will get back to you as soon as possible. See you in Identity!
