4 pointsDo you give the devs a chance? They said today and their time is EST and so from the UK time they will be working until 10pm GMT. Give them another 3 hours before you drop a ton on them, but also remember they said hopefully they will get it out on time I am sure. They appreciate everyone's concerns and well we just need to wait to hope everything is as planned.

3 pointsThanks for pointing this thread out to me, @LuckyDuck! So, like Lucky said, typically building a PC is way cheaper than a prebuilt because you aren't having to pay for them to put it together and paying for the manual labor it took them. BUT, that isn't always the case. For example, I bought a prebuilt PC worth $800 for $630 plus tax which ended up at $700ish. That was only because it was refurbished, which you shouldn't ever be scared of unless you're getting it from some random guy. Typically it means they just made sure no malware/other viruses were there and wiped the drives clean of everything, replacing parts if needed. I would link my PC to you but it wouldn't be any help because now it's back at the regular price of $799.99 Thanks again @LuckyDuck for letting me share my information with this guy!

2 pointsAs an IT-System-Engineer in real life i could talk hours about chosing the right parts for your PC. That is a sentence i hear very often from first time PC owners. What exactly is your budget? If you have a budget which is in console range don't even think about that this PC will be good. A low cost build starts from 700$. But it's not something you should aim for. If you want something good but not too crazy aim for 1100$-1350$. The System requirements for Identity has not been released yet so i whould recommend to aim for a better PC. With a cheaper PC you will not have much fun. I will give you a example for a good PC now which has good parts and can run any actual game on high to ultra settings with very good framerate. ATTENTION: This is my oppinion as an IT-System-Engineer and the experience i could collect in the last years. Not everybody will share this oppinion so please keep this in mind when posting. Thanks! Case: Corsair Air 540 Power Supply: EVGA G2 650W CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8 GHz Heatsink: Noctua 6 NH-D15 Mainboard: ASUS Z270-A Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 Graphics: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 OR MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC (Depending on how much you want to spend) Hard Drive: Western Digital Black 2TB SSD Hard Drive: SAMSUNG 850 Pro 256GB (Optional) DVD Drive: Asus 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Costs: ~1350$ Many people think that this is much money, but you will thank me later when the PC runs very good and you don't need to upgrade it for a while.

2 pointsThey are probably going to be changing community names because it was too close to the Games name/ the URL was taking the games URL but with .net etc. Also they falsely advertised "Game requirements" giving false info to people.
-
2 pointsIve watched it once and couldn't do it, its always the same generic questions, same generic answers , and them playing other games ( i was somewhat hoping they would have slideshows of the game, or a little sneak peak of the game during stream )
-
2 pointsThe only thing anyone ever gives for an answer is, "delay" "cant rush" " things take time" i dont think we ever will know whats causing them to be so many months behind, but just hope they finish soon before people lose interest. i honestly wish they communicated a lot more to the community about these things and progress and such.

2 pointsDATE POSTED: March 24th, 2017 Big changes for a bigger world! What a crazy time for the Identity development team over here at Asylum! We've been running all over the place for conferences and expos this month, including both GDC and PAX East, where we met all sorts of new talent and potential technology partners. We've unfortunately had to push back the release of the Town Square module from our original Q1 2017 release with all of the big developments here, but most systems are in place and it's not far off! The biggest and most exciting news we're officially announcing today is a new partnership with Improbable, the creators of SpatialOS! The Identity team has been testing the waters with SpatialOS for a couple of months now and we're incredibly excited about what it's going to mean for Identity. Identity can now be what we all hoped it would be, a true MMORPG in scale. SpatialOS is going to power Identity behind the scenes, allowing absolutely enormous scale for our world and the people playing in it. While we had originally hoped to be able to get 300 people into our servers with decent performance, with just a tiny bit more effort we're going to be able to expand that as far as the game needs. Instead of 300 players in a single server, we could now potentially have thousands. The size of our servers are now going to be set based on what we feel is ideal for a fun and immersive environment and we're not limited technically like we were expecting in the past. It opens more doors than simply the number of players on a server, too. With these changes we can now afford to have a more dynamic and interactive world. We've gained some freedom in manipulating the world and we can create features which we never imagined possible in a game of Identity's scale. This is all extremely exciting for the team. This technology is a scope-changer and Identity is going to be far better for it. Not only will our world grow, not only will the population be denser, but you'll even be able to leave your mark in many new ways. Development charging forward Concept art for Town Square art gallery and library, featuring player content We're working and expanding at an incredible rate. All key gameplay features for Town Square are now functional as we add polish and work to support SpatialOS in Identity. The development team has expanded with terrific new talent: Antoine joins Identity's 3D art team, Cody comes on board as a new systems and gameplay programmer and Liam comes in as our first dedicated web developer. Antoine and Cody both bring experience in their field to hasten development for Town Square and Identity as a whole. Liam's talents mean exciting new features on our website will be popping up soon. We've had plenty planned for our website for some time but haven't had the resources to bring these to you, until now.

1 pointPlease welcome the volunteer forum moderators that will be assisting Identity's Community staff in its day to day operations! This team has been specially selected from the Identity forums for their reputation for remaining unbiased during forum discussions, and for their interests in making a difference within the Identity community. However, some of these individuals may be recognized as volunteer Administrators from Asylum Entertainment's "Asylum Altis Life," a modification for ArmA 3, and are trusted to continue the renowned work that they have become known for. Each member of Identity's volunteer forum staff has their own unique personality and moderation style. We hope that you will get your first taste of who these individuals are from this introduction topic. Thank you for being a part of the Identity community!

1 pointHey there, So I've always been a consol gamer just because I've never had a reason to play on PC. I am really interested in Identity and a couple other games I have stumbled upon. Can you guys help me out by telling me what the best kind of PC and monitor I should buy for a first time PC gamer. I'm tryna to stay pretty cheap I'm not going for anything crazy but I want a good PC that will run games smoothly and such. I would really appreciate the help thank you.

1 point#1 ) What will you do on the first module? - hibernate in my apartment that i get drinking coffee while sitting at my real home drinking coffee. #2 ) Will you play with your friends or meet people on here? no RL friends wanting to play yet since they dont believe in early access/ pay before game is made. #3 ) What if your PC can't run the game? cry #4 ) Are you playing to buy a better package when you like the game? i have the $500 one, so no. #5 ) What will your job be? firefighter. #6 ) What is your goal? (Other then becoming rich) save alot of cats. #7 ) What do you like about identity? freedom since America doesn't have any anymore. #8 ) Will you use your headset or just chat? both #9 ) What are you looking forward too? playing the game #10 ) What is your age? And what will your age in-game be? just turned 26 in RL, in game i will be 1 day old.
-
1 pointI agree with Duck, they're in America and Australia I think so they're atleast 5 hours before us. They also said they MIGHT release it today, not that they will. they didnt say might, they said most likely, followed by saying 90% chance, - https://clips.twitch.tv/TastyAuspiciousPeafowlFUNgineer also i agree, they work until 4-5 EST so 2 hours ahead of me, so they got another 2 hours before i lose hope on a dev blog ( unless thats something they work on after hours)

1 pointMaybe you've heard that boredom can cause psychedelic stress to an individual. It could be useful for Identity, but it's purpose is not to make it like Sims - it could prevent people from standing around by beeing away from keyboard. I came up with the idea because the devs introduced a stress system, they will likely implement in their game. If the stress level rises the more hurtable your character will be. The player could prevent it by going to bed or maybe by sitting somewhere in-game and of course by doing things. So possibly no more people standing around doing nothing, because they could easily die. Unfortunately they have tricks to avoid this system, but it could be programmed so they have to do specific things. Tell me your feedback what would be good and bad about it and if it would work. ...and excuse my english.
-
1 pointWell have fun man! I would also like the speed demon package actually. Btw I know there are no jobs in the first module, not all the questions are module related. (Sorry for this mistake)

1 pointHey brotha. Your quiz seems very nice. I'm gonna try to answer to your questions if I may #1) On the first module I think to try everything that the game allows. #2) Of course I will play with friends and also with ppl I met here. #3) If my PC can't run the game (which I doubt), probably I'm gonna kill myself or will just upgrade it. #4) If I like the game enough, why not? Probably I will buy another package with more extras. #5) I think to be a police officer or firefighter. I'm not very sure at the moment. #6) My goal is to enjoy the world of Identity, to play with friends and everything else that gives me pleasure. #7) I like the chance to enjoy a game much different from the other MMORPG games. I like the freedom in that game and I'm sure I'll like much more things when I start playing it. #8) Probably I'll use both. #9) I'm thinking now only for the beta of Identity. We'll see after that. #10) I'm 31. Probably my age in-game will be the same. Wish you all the best man. Hope to see you in game

1 pointConsidering you're Head of Security @Arcanion, I'm pretty sure things like this are supposed to be handled internally. Not publicly with an open letter. This just seems like bad PR. That things are so messy and unorganized that you have to use public channels to get your message trough. Which is a very bad thing.

1 pointYour CPU is a solid one. I recommend to only upgrade the graphics card. i recommend to directly get a GeForce with PASCAL Arcitecture. In other words: Any Graphics Card from the 10-Series. Regarding of your budget the Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 OR MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC. Both will get you a good performance boost
-
1 pointCurrently i have a GTX 960 and want to upgrade it to something like a 990 or higher, i have a Intel core I5 6600K 3.50 Ghz with a 16 GB DDR4 ram card. Do you reccomend getting a better video card before upgrading my Intel core or after.
-
1 pointChange the CPU to: Intel Core i7 7700 4x 3.60GHz (If you are Streaming or do Video Rendering an i7 is very nice) Change the Graphic Cards to: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 STRIX OC Edition 8GB GDDR5X (TI Graphics Card is not need In my oppinion) Change the Heatsink to a watercooled All-in-one solution like: Corsair H110i @Jkarstadt23: Regarding my build above - you can also change the Noctua 6 NH-D15 to a Corsair H110i for better cooling.
-

1 pointI don't own Mafia but I am Mafia so if you want to play Mafia we can do Mafia in real life although my Mafia may be a bit too much since our Mafia is competing against another Mafia which leads to Mafia Wars and that's trouble for our Mafia because their Mafia has alot of Mafia guns so our Mafia vs Mafia will be decent but not so good, nevertheless our Mafia is pretty good if you want to join. Np for helping you, thank me later.
-
1 pointFor everyone that posts things about forum ranks and who wants to join, just why? I get what you are doing if you are commited to it and you are certainly going to buy a private server but for everyone else, why the unnecessary posting and the just utter cringe that I get. I don't understand someone help me..

1 pointI think your biggest problem here is that you are not starting small. You have a huge chain of command in place, yet no one to fill it. No one wants to start at the bottom of a small company. If you want anyone to partner with you, at least at the start, you will have to treat (and pay) them as equals. You are also attempting to start an investment firm when there is little to no investment market. People are not selling equity in their companies as of this moment. Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are also not being sold at this moment. Not to mention you haven't named a source of initial capital for your business. When the game is more developed, this could be a great idea, at the moment however, I think you're going to have a difficult time finding companies to invest into.

1 pointWhat a crazy several weeks since the last dev blog post! The increased exposure and attention from the apartment video has resulted in a surge of additional funding for Identity, which has translated into an expanded team with two new full-time developers coming on board and more to join soon. Work has been going very well. Motown, your community manager, has started transitioning into the role of producer to help manage our expanding team. This has helped to reduce some of the work-load on myself so it's been a very welcome change and he's proving to be great for the role. Our lead character artist, Miroslav, has been hard at work on numerous enhancements including building our makeup and blemish systems. This will give us the freedom to add all kinds of makeup options, especially for females but also for men. Your options at character creation will be a bit limited, but a vanity table will let you customize your makeup much further. Blemishes allow us to modify the skin in a whole lot of ways, from just a little blush on the cheeks to full-body freckles and more. Miroslav has also done an excellent job expanding eye customization for your characters which won't just tint the color of the iris but change its entire pattern to properly match the styles seen in those eyes in reality. He's also expanded our options for hair and facial hair. Feature development has also been going quickly and smoothly. Among others, we've built the contacts and friends systems which will be available in the Town Square module. When you meet people in the world you'll be able to exchange contact information, adding their number and name to your phone. This then acts like a friends list in other games, but you can even text or phone them with real working voice systems. It's also integrated with your Steam friends to make finding them easier. Environment art is also moving along, with several artists working full-time to give you beautiful environments. We've hired on some more artists and are even reworking some of the earlier assets we produced to bring the up to our now higher standards. Identity YouTube channel PowerGaming7 had the chance to speak with myself and Motown for a while after asking his viewers for a bunch of questions to ask. The result was an almost one hour long video where we shared all sorts of information you may not have heard before. You can find the link to this video right here. Once again, I want to thank every one of you for your continued support! Every pledge that comes in goes straight into the development of new features and helps us get the game to you a little bit faster. The attention we've seen over the last couple of months has been staggering, and we are excited to show you more of the gameplay soon!

1 pointGreetings All! I will preface this by saying that my username is pronounced "Goo-Gee." I have heard a lot of different variations of it and I hope this will prevent any confusion! My actual name is Evan and I am a sophomore studying to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. I am originally from Florida, the warm and sunny state where all you bizarre news stories originate. I came to know all of these amazing people through being an administrator on Asylum's Arma Life server since April 2014. My interests are mainly in the relationship between technology and law, which I hope to pursue after I finish my undergraduate education. I also am working to become fluent in Spanish, which I hope will be complete after I complete my abroad studies in Barcelona. In addition to gaming, I also enjoy watching and playing soccer, rowing, programming (Web Development, Java, C, Python), videography, and much more! Feel free to message with help regarding Identity or the Gaming-Aslyum ARMA Life servers.

1 pointHey everyone, I'm Brendan, I'm currently a senior in high school taking a programming class and 3D modeling course with high hopes to go into the gaming industry in the future. I've been gaming ever since I was about 5 or 6. I've always loved video games and the world that it put you in. By the age of 13 I bought my first PC and gamed on it for about 2 years, After working part-time I save up money and built my new Gaming PC which is what I use now. After switching to PC I will never go back to consoles! Once I built that computer I installed all my software for 3D modeling and have been creating different projects to store in a portfolios for future job applications, by late 2016 I hope to apply for an internship at Gearbox Software (Creators of Borderlands) to improve my knowledge of the gaming industry. Thanks for checking out my introduction and I hope to see you guys around!

1 pointNice to meet you all. I'm Matt, also known as Dysto, I guess that's my sort of online alias. I'm a Second Year University Student in the UK who loves to get involved in online communities especially when it allows me to work around a great group of people and a great product. I started out running my own forums several years ago along with a friend, I then moved into the journalistic space acting as a freelance writer for a period of time. More recently I help test two GRID games at Codemasters being credited for my role in the community there, before stumbling onto Identity. If you have any questions or queries feel free to come and discuss it with me. You can also catch me at @Dysto on Twitter. I'll see you guys around, lets make Identity the next big thing.
