3 pointsHey @MikaFromDenmark, Beta access is after all 3 modules and the beta will include cars and pretty much will be the closest thing to the full game. However you won't get a "Free" motorbike if that is what you mean. You have to have the pledge that gives that. The first module is due to release soon / a few months and can be read about here: http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/townsquare/ You will likely start off with $100 at the start and if you don't have the apartment pledge then you will have a hotel room for a limited time for free which then after that time period you would have to have made money to pay for the room or live on the street. Hope this helps! Best regards, LuckyDuck.

2 pointsWhat @JamesLuck01 said. Kinda sad it didn't come out as expected but it's going to be well worth it...hopefully!

2 pointsIn my completely honest opinion, I just think that we should stop arguing about whether the game will fail or succeed. I mean, to be honest, you can have your opinion on whether or not it will come out, but complaining about us not getting updates or it not coming out soon enough... won't speed up the development process any sooner. As you can obviously tell, it hasn't over the past few months that people have been complaining. From my perspective, @Motown, has an extremely good development team that knows not to listen to the "rush advice" of the forum users. Now I'm not saying that I'm glad it's not out yet, I too am extremely excited for the games release, but it's something I can wait for. There's a quote that I insert into my everyday life, "Good things come to those who wait for them". Yes, this game is something that many people have wanted to do and failed. Yes, this will spark a new genre of amazing MMO-RPG games. Yes, it MAY fail. However, us sitting here complaining about not getting enough screenshots, or not getting enough updates, or footage... doesn't help. They spend much time writing these updates for us when they could be working on the game. There are the people that complain about not getting updates and that it needs to come out sooner, but them just writing those updates delays the game by a couple of hours. I *LOVE* surprises, and I am completely fine with not receiving updates and the game come out sooner -- because then, all the stuff in the game they didn't give us updates on will BLOW us away! I think I have ranted quite a little while. I understand nothing I say will and can stop the users that will continue to complain about the ever-delayed game. But just think about it for a moment, does it really help... you're just stressing them out Hopefully I was of some help or relief, Or at least that some of you understood the point I tried to make -- have a wonderful day to all, ~ SummitsEdge // Mob Mechanix

2 pointsThe traffic laws will be the same like real life or somewhere close. If you speed you can get a ticket, if you cut a red light then you can get a ticket. If you drink drive then you can get punished for that etc. It is not GTA where you can drive however. This game is a Real Life Simulator in many ways.
-
2 pointsThey're giving us their honest estimate on when the game will come out. Sometimes in development, sh*t happens... and that will change an estimate. It's like averaging numbers. Adding in another variable, will change the average.
-
2 pointsIve watched it once and couldn't do it, its always the same generic questions, same generic answers , and them playing other games ( i was somewhat hoping they would have slideshows of the game, or a little sneak peak of the game during stream )

1 pointDEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

1 pointWhy is this game so delayed! I mean come on the web was plastered with ''early 2017'' now mid 2017 and not even module 1....
-
1 pointHey there! I was wondering if anyone in the community has plan for an Identity account or fan page, I am aware there are some which are quite empty at the moment. I plan to turn my existing account into a Identity only account which features my own screencaps and gameplay once the game is officially released. I personally like to use Instagram as it relatively quick and easy on the go. You can follow me @leonschrader1 to see retro and vintage clips here and there. But anyways, what are your thoughts on this random idea? Feel free to comment!

1 pointThat's really good to hear, if its that the case Im ok with the delays if that means that working on first model gonna make others release quick. Thanks guys.
-
1 pointLike @Lexan said. The S.W.A.T. module will be the quickest module to release but the racing module will be longer but shorter than the town square as because the devs could hit some un-forseen problems/ errors on that module and it won't take as long as the 1st module because the base mechanics of the game are done already and that is why the first module is the longest module in development.
-
1 pointHey @whiterussian, Welcome to the community! To answer your question, no the game is not planed to be released for consoles and well the devs said they will look into console porting but it is no promise to ever release to consoles. Beta is planned to release early 2018 and the modules however will be leading up to the beta. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here on the forum / as k me via PM. Please have a look at the 2 FAQ's linked in my signature for great info. Have a nice day/ evening/ night and hope to see you in Identity! Best regards, LuckyDuck.
-
1 pointHey guys Lexan here, as i said i will try to update people that cant watch the streams with relevant info as they come and today, paratus said that devblog its coming up tomorrow (most LIKELY TOMORROW) i hope you guys like it here is the clip https://clips.twitch.tv/TastyAuspiciousPeafowlFUNgineer
-
1 pointThis module is also taking longer because the devs have to work on the foundation of the whole game, other modules will be done quicker especially the SWAT module.
-
1 pointI was actually wondering yesterday about this question, and now I decided to ask on here, 'cause I can see the logic on both sides of the answer, but are still wondering what the excact answer is/would be. We're going to have cars, and we're going to have player roles as police, so I was wondering, do you have to stop for traffic lights, as a citizen? On one side, the police will have a lot to do all the time, and will always kept busy with atleast something, if they have to stop citizens running the red light. But on the other hand, it will maybe be too much, when they also have to catch thiefs from robberies etc. So do we know if you have to stop for red light, or if you just gonna do the same as you do in GTA V, says "Fuck it" and cross it?
-
1 pointyes people have been waiting a long time, and i don't think anyone here will argue that game development takes long. however what people are actually complaining about for the most part is the delay after delay after delay, with real no dev blogs, why they are delayed this much, progress or anything. we are completely in the dark , patience will only get so far. and honestly, the more people complain and bring the subject up, the higher the chance the devs will finally speak out on the subject.

1 pointFor me (a 63 year old kid) I will RP the game as best I can. I will interact with all other people as I need to in the game. If someone does not do well or just does not like the game then I will just not see them in the town square coffee shop any more. Age will not matter to me because they will be another person in the square. Age of players is an issue that I do not want to get into so I will deal with whomever I meet in the game and move on. I hope to make some friends to have coffee with no matter their real age. Lets all RP and hope it's a pleasant experience.
-
1 pointSomeone mentioned me in this but removed it! Show yourself or face the wrath of 1000 eggs being shoved in your holes.
-
1 pointcould this subject be STOPPED please its LEADING TO NOTHING , we want the game then wait for it ,btw how long have u been waiting there are people stacked up since Kick starter,so Please STOP
-
1 pointTo become a police officer on public servers, you will need to go to a "school" environment and take a short tutorial before qualifying and once qualified, you go to a police station and sign up. To go on duty you will have to go and get changed into your uniform when in the police station and to go off duty you go back to the police station again and take it off etc.
-
1 pointActually, it's not good because right now we've got so many topics about the failure in Identity and so many people just think that it wont ever just come out! Actually according to what we have right now they're just thinking right and it's not good, developers should see this and keep us updated! We all know sometimes some bad things happens in the development progress, but somehow about 3 or even 4 months delay is not good! They could just simply say that we're not sure about the release date and these problems wouldn't just happen! Anyway if the game fail I wouldn't be shocked because as @mezdoo said, I don't expect from video-games these days too! By the way, we are all just waiting for the game and that's why we registered to the forums and the idea itself wont fail (I'm just speaking according to what I've seen in the Kickstarter) if they can just make the idea just happen really good and excellent it will success (and I'm sure they can!), as I said we are all just waiting, I hate this when people are just defending without any knowledge about the game and etc, they're just talking about what they don't know, they're just lying to them-selves, please don't comment about other people's opinion about the game unless you're the developer of the game!
-
1 pointSo don't give short deadlines for the fans and build up false hype. At this point I believe that they are doing it on purpose. You completely missed my point and rushed to shove your view down my throat. I understood what you said to an extent, but you have to understand we are only human.

1 pointIf I choose to pay for a private server, then there are nothing that the devs can do to stop me from kicking kids from my private server. - And I know that it is really not an age thing.. but its far more common between kids (as I call it), to behave as a small kid, than it is for a real mature player. So if you choose to behave like a kid, then you will be warned, and if you dont understand it, you will be kicked. I have my fully right, as the person that buy/rent a server to choose to have a mature playerbase, if you dont like it, then dont join. I know plenty of mature players that will love to join a server for mature players. And trust me, I will kick you if you behave as a kid, if I do choose to get a private server (at some point when it will be possible). If you want hardcore RP gameplay then find servers that will offer hardcore RP, but thats not what I sayd I will offer on my private server. Kids can play on public servers, and you (as a kid) will not be kicked from a public server just because of age, but there will be private servers where you (if you are a kid) are not welcome.

1 pointGo to their twitch tomorrow at 4pm EST / 9pm GMT to watch their stream. You just missed the one for tonight: https://www.twitch.tv/identityrpg The videos of the old streams are there for people who missed them.
-
1 pointThe only thing anyone ever gives for an answer is, "delay" "cant rush" " things take time" i dont think we ever will know whats causing them to be so many months behind, but just hope they finish soon before people lose interest. i honestly wish they communicated a lot more to the community about these things and progress and such.
-
1 pointMy reaction would be normal since i don't expect much from videogames these days.
-
1 point@Notic3 they tell us the truth, delays happen, but if we only making more and more pressure on them they are going to make more and more delays So if you dont care anymore, dont stay, noone forces you to be here, and if the game or the first module releases you will see it Honestly said, they are still working on it. Other people would´ve given up on that project because so many are waiting for the game and sure, they could just dont promise anything and say "Yeah it will take long, we dont know how long but its gonna be long" but that would not make hope You know the game Interstellar Marines? If not, they gave up, because they done it like the Identity Devs, they said " Yeah it will only takes a few months" and then there was another delay, why? because the community made too much pressure. It normaly takes time to make a freaking GAME its not like you are making chinese noodles. a GOOD game takes GOOD Time, even if it takes years. If you dont can wait, then dont do it. Like i said, noone forces you to stay&wait for the first Module

1 pointI feel like the Whole Medical career path has potential to be really awesome; I'd honestly love to see a surgeon simulator sort of thing, of course more organized, added in. It would be awesome being able to treat the wounds of the things we hear the newspaper and just the whole system is super potentious! I'm legit fangirling over a potential module in the game... :)) And also that's a whole different story right here the fishing industry mixed with the shipping and commercial industry!

1 pointI think that's a brilliant idea since it probably isn't to cheap to own your own "more than decent" mountainbike. Would be nice if you fx. lived in the city and just needed to go to the mountains whenever you wanted to bike.

1 pointSo what's the point if this thread? To kinda give the devs of Identity some ideas to what to put in the in-game map and environment. Heres mine. Red: City border / City limit. White: In city district border. Yellow: Farmland / County houses Glendale County: Home of three big cities with huge farmland to harvest crops in. Has biomes such as small amount of snow Southwest of Glendale County, swamps down South, a beach Southeast and mountains and large forests to the North. Glendale(city): Main city of the county. Has 9 different districts and each would be unique environment wise. Downtown: Banks ,stores, buildings, and hotels would be located there. Docks: Large shipment of (legal & illegal) products would come to the county from offshore places. South Glendale: Stores/Markets, low-end and mid-end houses, motels and parks would be located here. Greenwood: Stores/Markets, low-end and mid-end houses, project buildings, parks and hotels would be located here. Lakeville: Clubs, stores, low-end and mid-end houses, race track, hometown baseball/soccer/football field and large buildings would be located here. Los Alamos: Small golf clubs, mid-end and high-end houses and a park would be located here. Canal: A casino, high-end houses and boat parkings would be located here. Swim Hall: High-end houses and a huge amusement park would be located here. Glendale Waters: Private high-end house on an island would be located here. Sunny Valley: Beach city south of the county with 7 different districts with unique environments. Downtown: Banks, stores, motels/hotels and various different tourist attractions would be located here. Downtown Sea: Clear view of the ocean of Downtown. Sunny Beach: Main and largest beach in the whole city and county, high-end houses, boat parkings, small shops and islands with high end houses on them would be located here. Northwood: Clubs, mid-end apartment complexes, stores and a hometown baseball/soccer/football field would be located here. Blueberry: Stores/Markets, low-end and mid-end houses, motels, flats and parks would be located here. Grover: Small stores, low-end houses, flats and swamps would be located here. Valley Island: Large zoo with various wild life would be located here. Mohawk: Industrial city west of the county with 8 different unique districts. Downtown: Banks, stores, hotels, various different tourist attractions and tall buildings would be located here. Industrial Hall: Large factories would be located here. Carson: Stores/Markets, low-end and mid-end houses, project buildings, parks and flats would be located here. East Hillside: Stores/shops, apartment complexes, low-end and mid-end houses. West Hillside: Stores/shops, apartment complexes, low-end and mid-end houses and a large main park. Mohawk Springs: Stores, mid-end and high-end houses, Casinos, boat parkings and a hometown baseball/soccer/football field. Chinatown: Chinese type stores/restaurants, apartment complexes and a small asian casino. Moh Sea: Sea of Mohawk. So that was my idea of what the map should be laid out as, it's not a suggestion it's just something I did on my free time. How would you guys lay it down? Feel free to make concepts of your own.

1 pointYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

1 pointMy final goal would be to own a successful business and keep a clean look on the outside but maybe do some shady stuff on the side. As a beginning though I'm probably gonna work with something easy and ordinary to gain some capital and make useful contacts.
