5 pointsWe need more updates and devblogs from these developers. fucking six dev blogs in 2 years thats just lazy . i can easy see why people have lost interest and i also see the developers have also lost interest in being active and giving fucking info every now and then. i like how they said all systems are now functional for town square and there polishing things up, however its been fucking delayed for god knows how long and they still haven't announced a release date or a hint to when its coming out. im starting to give up on identity. i want this game to be good like they said it will be but it just looks like another no mans sky

4 points@GrandPaladin If you give up on the project of Identity then you are going to miss out on it. I know delays, more delays and more delays happen but at the end of the day delays are inevitable and also about your comment on the devs being lazy because they have only 6 dev blogs, well you seem to be inconsiderate to how hard they are working to make it best / most polished game. They work hard and if anyone wants this game more than us is the devs themselves. Their passion is to build their dream game, and this game is it for them. They had 6 team members at first and that was 2 Full time devs and 4 contractors who also work on other projects during the week to when it was just them. They now have made that team to 5 Full time devs and 4 contractors while also looking to double their current numbers to have a 20 man Team. If you look at the negatives then you will give up faster on the project than if you look only at the positives. My advice is forget the delays and wait for the game which you want soo much. @WhtGhstBlckGhst Just so you know Leslie Benzies will likely have AI roaming the world which takes most of the good things away from his game. You cannot interact with all people roaming because you will likely try speak to a NPC and be fooled yet and not immersed. That game will be more GTA like than what Identity will be and also there is no harm in competition for Identity.
-
3 pointsToday I will express my true concern, you've got Leslie Benzies over here in an attempt to make what you're creating Devs. Will it be exactly to the T on your design and ideas? Maybe, but I doubt it. What makes me nervous, although still a ways off, is Identity being brushed under the rug by Benzies on part from lack of details being presented and the community growing tired of waiting. I don't want to see this fail because of someone who has a full team, marketing and backing. We are talking about the man who drove rockstar games through its pinnacle after all... Communication is a commitment. For the record I'm not promoting Dev hate speech.

2 pointsIf you are a criminal then it will take longer and make it harder for you to become a police officer. If you are a police officer and you are corrupt then, you will lose your career as a police officer for doing that on official servers. However in private servers you might be able to be corrupt depending on if the server allowing it.

2 pointsThankfully I've boarded the party boat a "tad bit" late so I haven't had to wait 2 years for it to release. I can say I know your pain to an extent though as I've been waiting nearly 3 years for a seemingly simple kick starter project to release but the creators have been silent for over 6 months!

2 pointsHey @BananaBaiter, to the left of the Button with the 2 options, dou you have a text there which says "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..."? There you can upload a image from your local PC when you click on "choose files". This should also work for you. If not i recommend to upload the image to http://imgur.com/. There you get a direct link to the image which you can use for the "Insert Image from URLS " feature you already tried above

1 pointHi everybody, deep down in the Internet where I happen to linger I just found a teaser. A teaser to a game suggesting everything I have ever thought of as a game to be the best game ever, beating every game that I have been playing. Now don't get me wrong, everybody. I am not the stereotypical naive guy to believe that every next game is going to be the best game ever. We will see how it turns out in the end, but I definetely appeal to the administration of the project: please make something out of it. I am really looking forward to Identity. But enough of my expectations. I want to briefly introduce myself: My name is Antonio, and firstly: I am happy to meet all of you. By now I pronounce myself a proud contributor of this game. I am 20 years of age and I come from Germany. As you can imagine I have played all sorts of games. My activity decreased in the recent years, though. As much as I like gaming, I love to program. I have a total experience of eight years. (Yes, that's right, I started to program at the age of 12.) I am not sure what else to talk about so I guess I just finish off by saying that I really hope that this game is headed in the right direction and that a rich community stands behind it helping to manouver it. I'd love to get to know you guys and I can't await the beta :)

1 pointI don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you your dibs on a storage business go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

1 pointNO DENTISTS?! Damn, we better be looking after our teeth ingame. Follow these rules for maximum efficiency: Tilt the brush at a 45° angle against the gumline and sweep or roll the brush away from the gumline. Gently brush the outside, inside and chewing surface of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes. Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath.
-
1 pointTo clarify it once more: Everyone with Access to the module will have the opportunity to design a appartment. You will get one for free to check the possibilities inside and decorate it. (standard appartment) Everyone who pledges for a custom appartment will get this appartment instead of the standard one and can customize it.

1 pointIf the economy is anything like the devs say it will be, then guns shouldn't be TOO hard to get your hands on. For example, take the Glock 22 .40Cal. That gun runs for about $400 retail which honestly these days isn't that much money. Some phones cost more than that now. Assault Rifles and things like that will probably be hard to get as most of them you either need a license to get or are way cheaper on the street then at retail, but is also illegal to pick up off the street.

1 pointIf you look at the pitch of "Everywhere" it's very clear he wants to make an AR game a la Pokemon go. This is a completely differemt genre from Identity. Not to mention he hasn't even srarted the game yet, while Identity has been in developmemt for 2 years now.

1 pointPlease read the sentence more carefully as you mixed it up and asked a question because of it. Here below is the quoted sentence. I said likely and in which is MY opinion. I think Leslie will have AI roaming his world because that is how he had done it for GTA but it doesn't mean he might not have them roaming. There is no source other than to myself being my opinion and so could be true or not be true.

1 pointWell in real life there are gangmembers in the millitary so they can learn skills that they could use against other gang members The game wants to be realistic as possible so if the devs know/find out about this it could be a possibility

1 pointYou are never too old to game, the only issue is that usually the older you get, more obstacules are on the way of your free time :^)
-
1 pointOfficial servers will be more casual RP and so if you want something like this, I am more than certain a community private server will have something with permanent death but also on official servers you will be able to have more than one character and so they would have to remove that option too but I don't see any benefits for official servers because if you are wanted on one of them then you are wanted on all. So this would be that you are permanently banned from all the official servers is what you want from people dying.

1 pointThis type of job won't be that they have to buy guns, but will have to do that or manufacture them too buying parts and the parts will be expensive to buy and hard to get. Guns will be expensive to get your hands on / manufacturing them too.
-
1 pointI'm pretty sure people can run their own gun stores, They would of course have to buy the guns and then sell them at a higher price. Could be wrong, but assuming by the vast majority of jobs you can have, that could be one of them!

1 pointLook guys, the team of Asylum works very hard. This is not Super Mario or Tetris. We're talking about an extremely large game with a lot of opportunities. If someone could do it faster, please let him help them. If no one can do it faster than these guys, then let's sit and wait. Nobody's making you to pledge for this game with a gun in your head. That is only a personal decision. Like most of you I also pledged for it, but I'm sitting, read all the new information and wait patiently. I recommend you to do the same. Have more faith and believe me - it will be rewarded. Good Night for now. Be cool.

1 pointDATE POSTED: March 24th, 2017 Big changes for a bigger world! What a crazy time for the Identity development team over here at Asylum! We've been running all over the place for conferences and expos this month, including both GDC and PAX East, where we met all sorts of new talent and potential technology partners. We've unfortunately had to push back the release of the Town Square module from our original Q1 2017 release with all of the big developments here, but most systems are in place and it's not far off! The biggest and most exciting news we're officially announcing today is a new partnership with Improbable, the creators of SpatialOS! The Identity team has been testing the waters with SpatialOS for a couple of months now and we're incredibly excited about what it's going to mean for Identity. Identity can now be what we all hoped it would be, a true MMORPG in scale. SpatialOS is going to power Identity behind the scenes, allowing absolutely enormous scale for our world and the people playing in it. While we had originally hoped to be able to get 300 people into our servers with decent performance, with just a tiny bit more effort we're going to be able to expand that as far as the game needs. Instead of 300 players in a single server, we could now potentially have thousands. The size of our servers are now going to be set based on what we feel is ideal for a fun and immersive environment and we're not limited technically like we were expecting in the past. It opens more doors than simply the number of players on a server, too. With these changes we can now afford to have a more dynamic and interactive world. We've gained some freedom in manipulating the world and we can create features which we never imagined possible in a game of Identity's scale. This is all extremely exciting for the team. This technology is a scope-changer and Identity is going to be far better for it. Not only will our world grow, not only will the population be denser, but you'll even be able to leave your mark in many new ways. Development charging forward Concept art for Town Square art gallery and library, featuring player content We're working and expanding at an incredible rate. All key gameplay features for Town Square are now functional as we add polish and work to support SpatialOS in Identity. The development team has expanded with terrific new talent: Antoine joins Identity's 3D art team, Cody comes on board as a new systems and gameplay programmer and Liam comes in as our first dedicated web developer. Antoine and Cody both bring experience in their field to hasten development for Town Square and Identity as a whole. Liam's talents mean exciting new features on our website will be popping up soon. We've had plenty planned for our website for some time but haven't had the resources to bring these to you, until now.

1 pointFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. How are Kickstarter backers different from website backers? There is only one difference between backer rewards for the Kickstarter and website. Kickstarter backers will receive a unique in-game hat with the Kickstarter logo. Website backers receive a hat with the Identity logo. No new content in the future will ever display either of these logos. 2. Many people are confused on what the game is about. Would you mind telling us what your vision for the game is? Is the game more about Cops vs Robbers, or a balance between all the available paths? Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways. We’re catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or steal your ‘identity’! 3. What can you tell us about the world? World size? Player limit? We anticipate that the playable world size will be 200 square kilometers, or 77 square miles in comparison. This means that the whole map is 14 km wide, and would take about an hour and a half to walk across. We hope to support up to 300 players (or more!) per server. 4. Can you expand on the professions? We know there will be cops, but what types of jobs will be available for civilians? Will they be able to create their own businesses? Create their own items? etc. Also, Medics and Firefighters? Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met. 5. How will death be handled? When a player dies, some items such as the money the player is carrying at that time, will be dropped on the ground and will become accessible to anyone in the area that wishes to take it. Clothing items will never be dropped. We have decided that a player’s character appearance in a social game like Identity is important. You will always look the way you decide your character to look. If the player is not resusitated by an EMT or teammate, the player is then prompted to respawn at the location of their last sync (house, apartment, city) Private servers have some control over what types of items players will drop on death, if any at all. 6. Can you expand on how the housing system will work? Size and availability of apartments and houses? Players can choose to own or rent housing in Identity, while apartments can also be shared with a friend or roommate depending on the size of the property. For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. Apartments and houses are fully customizable, allowing players to place furniture and objects anywhere in the room. Home-owners can invite other players into their apartment or house at any time. Players cannot access another players home without an invitation. 7. Will there be any specific safe areas where people can go AFK or sit and socialize without being killed or robbed? There are safe zones within certain types of buildings in Identity. Metal detectors serve to preserve immersion, and will temporarily remove any weapons upon entry, allowing all players in the area to safely relax, socialize and meet new friends. These safe zones are known to us as “Sub-Hubs” or social gathering points that reflect on the lifestyle theme of their environment (Biker Bar, Business club, Bum alley, etc.). While many of these areas can only be accessed by law-abiding citizens, some Sub-Hubs are neutral and can be entered by any player on the map. Few areas are designated gathering points for active criminals looking for the right crime of opportunity, or new friends to help them plan their next heist. 8. How will player identification work in game? Will names appear above players heads? If so, at what distances will they be seen? As our design stands right now, the official servers do display names over heads within certain ranges. Some things like masks and balaclavas can affect this. Moreover, private servers have an option where they can hide names from all players unless greeted. By this I mean you won’t see the name over another player until they perform an emote action, after which you’ll always see their name.
