1 pointI dont know why you say goodbye....I say...... Hello, I am new in this identity world. I love open world games, with social interaction, so this is just perfect. I am very inspired by the world of darkness. One of my favourite games is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, for its social interaction and progress trees. I am very inspired by the world of darkness universe, and pumped for the upcoming openworld games inspired by that. Then i found this game and got very hyped, because it was something else, but with the same mechanics. Social interaction in an openworld setting with real players; Living their lives. I am really looking forward to meet you all in town square.

1 pointBefore I start, I wan't to say that this isn't bashing the townsquare module or anything but I just want to know why everyone is so hyped. Sure, I'm excited too but you guys act like you're going to want to walk around talking to people watching old movies, painting and writing books for more than like a day or two. So why are you guys so hyped? Are you misinformed about the stuff you'll be able to do? Do you think it's gonna live up to your hype train? (Probably not)

1 pointThere are going to be freight trucks delivering goods all throughout Identity's map. There will be jobs where you will have to drive them to their destination. So put on your trucker hats, drink lots of coffee, and prepare to go hit the long road.

1 pointI had this idea as well. I am just wondering how complex the creation of new objects will be. Will we have to design them from scratch in a 3D art creator tool? I love tech, but I'm still not so great with software like that.

1 pointSmart ForTwo would be good car. A small nimble city car!
-
1 pointActually some other things have been discussed so there's not really an issue any more. I really appreciate your guys reply!

1 pointYou can sell them to the art gallery, but don't think players can own a art gallery.
-
1 pointI'm not sure how often John answers his email, so if it's very important you can send me a PM and I'll contact Motown.

1 pointYou can own a corporation yes (CEO), you can own your own store. The stockbroker was confirmed to not be a thing that you can do but Trader can be anything but likely won't be specified as a business mechanic. Painting is not a job remember but you can go and sell them.

1 pointbeing a trucker in a game like identity will most probably be great. there'll always be something on the streets (grand theft auto, crashed cars, loot because someone died).

1 pointI believe that the tax is set by the current government on a particular server. As for money laundering, nothing has been confirmed, and it may be quite difficult to carry out on public servers. However, I could see it being more of a possibility on private servers.

1 pointBest way to contact the devs is through Discord. Here is the link to the official Identity Discord: https://discord.gg/jHVrMNB

1 pointYou will be able to be a CEO, as for stockbrokers, there will not be a stock market so that will not be a possible career path at the moment.

1 pointHello @LeonSchrader! Glad to see you joined the community, hope to see you in the Town Square!

1 pointI am just hyped to finally SEE something. Although, I wouldn't say hyped. I am not overly excited, I just am anticipating being able to play what I bought. I see your point @Capped, I feel like some people are either misinformed about what they can do or waaaay more excited than they should be.

1 pointAhh Sorry about that language mixup. I saw a german one in the Offtopic section and kinda assumed this one was too (translated it without looking at original language) And nah it's easy to understand because google chrome has a built in translate feature so it makes it easier but It doesnt do it perfectly.

1 pointThis is an interesting concept, but I think that it could be improved. I don't think that there is anything wrong with someone being ultimately successful in business. I don't think you need to attack someone that got rich off of their own hard work and ideas. I may be misunderstanding, but it sounds kind of like you want everyone to be on the same level, always. (AKA Communism) Which is a little bit unfair to those that did work hard enough to be on top. I think if you really wanted to make this work, you could turn it into an organization that scares powerful people into working with you so that you can profit off of their business, or you could possibly have strong influence in political decisions if you were able to scare the right people. I think that you could keep the idea of being a vigilante for the people, but I think that you're executing the wrong way. Killing someone and taking all of their assets just because they're more successful than you is hate crime on the basis of jealousy.

1 pointSo people aren't allowed to complain about waiting because other people have waited longer? That's like not being allowed to complain about losing your finger because some person lost his whole arm.
-
1 pointI don't like it when people complain about not getting info when the devs do Q and A's as well as have been giving us more Dev Blogs. Yes, we have been waiting a long time especially the Kick-starter backers. Unless people are the Kick-starter backers then I do not see why people complain because they have not been waiting as long as those guys have been and really those who don't pledge before complaining can't really complain either because they have nothing to lose really; however they can complain if they have waited and actually put money in. No one understands these days that 2 years is not enough for a game in development and I believe it is a minimum of 3 years to expect a game like this and really that is how development is, delays over more delays which is a good thing for the game but can be annoying for the backers because they have helped out early on. If the developers give us everything now about the game, what will there be to look forward to? I don't think there will be something we won't know about the game to look forward to after all and well also I want to look forward to trying everything out, but also not getting all that information now because I want to have hype when the game comes out. I however don't want to know everything about the game and so I have nothing to be excited for when playing the game. This is however my opinion and always will be above and below is a fact which has been seen lately. The more the community complains and asks for more content the more developers give in. The more the developers give in, is how much more the community members ask for more anyways. This is an endless cycle of "Give me more and I will be fine" but once the info has been given, the person asks for more again and won't stop. The more we get the more we want. Communities make games fall apart but also can make games strive. An example of a game falling apart partly by the community is "No Mans Sky": the "NMS" community pushed the developers to the brink which caused the game to not be completed like it was shown off as it would be, it was because the community pushed the devs to give a unfinished game. It also was caused by the publisher because they wanted the game out on a tight deadline, which happened to be that it didn't get finished by in which delayed the game. They still pushed it back too short of what the game needed with the community pushing for a game to be released and that pressure is hard to maintain after enough of it. I just wan the game to release like you guys and I have been waiting a long time like a lot of the community has and I can say that I have seen the developers here improve with PR over the last 6 months more than anything even though they are still a very small team with people working more than 1 job at a time. I hope everyone is happy when the module releases and the advice is if you are not happy with the little info we get then don't pledge until you are satisfied. Pledge if you understand we could get a big delay again but understand why and all the reason it is for a good reason but also if you want to help the devs out. Thank you if you read my ramble and I hope everyone understands. Cheerio and I hope I can answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.

1 pointHello, I have been listening and watching/reading every video and announcement so far. I remember seeing somewhere that the car physics weren't up to Asylum's standards and wanted to make the physics fit better into the game. Now if this is true, then a mechanic job can be created. How cool would it be to have your own mechanic shop and being able to fix other player's mishaps. It could be like the series of cart mechanic simulators. You have to physically remove the parts and work around to find the problems and such, order the broken/damaged parts and have someone deliver it. I think it would be an awesome and potentially sophisticated idea. There will be many vehicles and accidents soon enough when the game is released, this could be a great idea to attract more players. Thank you for reading! I'd love to hear feedback or any information you may have heard about a mechanic job already!

1 pointI think you guys are forgetting that fact that cheaters/hackers don't and won't play by the roleplay rules. So you cannot deal with them using roleplay actions. An admin will have to handle them or they will have to have some kind of anti-cheat program in place.
