4 pointsI think you have plenty of time. They haven't even released the latest video, which is supposedly the precursor to the module release. After that, they should be giving us a heads up on the release date.
-
3 pointsI'm pretty sure the devs have said that there won't be a stock market in the game! If they were to implement it, which I think is now a possibility with the use of SpatialOs, it would probably be after the full release of the game.

2 pointsI have a good Idea, Module 1 item can be a in-game painting of the "Town Square", Module 2 item can be the s.w.a.t. module picture on a T-Shirt and the 3rd one can be like a Car trophy ornament thing for module 3. The beta can be a Map of the island as a poster.

2 pointsHello, forum users! I have rebranded and created a new business model. Please check it out. Thank you.

2 pointsI would be totally down for this if you get enough people. You could make a discord or steam group to set up events and get everyone together. I'll be looking forward to more information soon :-)

2 pointsIdentity's development has been moving at a pace we've never experienced in the past. With added full-time programming and art talent, we've been able to produce more content in a shorter time than expected. With all of the base features of Town Square in place, we've now been building up the supporting systems; the menu interfaces, server selection systems, character creation and more are well underway now. You'll get a good preview of the character customization soon! Ridable bicycle; work in progress Some exciting progress is also being seen beyond the Town Square! Our vehicle systems are starting to get fleshed out. We found the integrated Unreal Engine vehicle subsystems to be inadequate for the realism and fidelity we seek, so Identity will run on an entirely rebuilt vehicle physics engine. With this you can expect extremely realistic handling of bicycles, cars, vans, motorcycles, semi-trucks and more. We've got the Twitch Game development is an exciting career that many gamers aspire for. Just a couple of weeks ago we had test run streaming our development live on Twitch. In our first stream, our character artist Miroslav added different eyebrow varieties to Identity character head models. These are some of the eyebrow options you'll be able to choose when creating your characters; get an inside look at the work which goes into even a small detail as this. While the task Miroslav had at the time might not have been the most exciting, we're in the process of setting up a schedule for very regular streams from a variety of development departments. Keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for stream time announcements. Click the preview below to watch the recorded stream. It runs at just under an hour in duration. Identity's first Dev Stream: Miroslav's Eyebrows You can find our Twitch channel at Twitch.tv/IdentityRPG. Follow us there to get notified when an Identity developer starts streaming! Path to the Town Square Town Square early revision; work in progress A lot of Town Square work has been accomplished since the last dev blog! From interface to animations and more feature polish, the Town Square is shaping up into a genuinely interesting social environment. We've been making everything we can in the environment interactive. If it looks like it would have some sort of purpose in reality, we're making it useful (or at least entertaining) in Identity, too! Grab a newspaper for the latest happenings, toss a coin into the fountain or grab a can of soda from the machine. Visual dynamics have been added as well. Simple things bring immersion to the environment. The clocks on buildings and towers show the real in-game time, the cinema marquee sign shows the movies playing with real times (which can be adjusted by owners of community servers in retail Identity) and more. We're making the Identity environment, and thus that in Town Square, feel alive and interactive. A hotel lobby at night -- John VanderZwet

1 pointSo, since there are a lot of people in this forum that likes cars and/or want to do car-stuff once the game is out, I though in this idea: post pictures and info of your car! I will start with mines. I'm from Spain and I own a performance workshop called Midnight Empire. This is my 1989 Nissan 200SX with CA18DET, my first car and the one I used to learn to drive. Used it for 2 years for daily. Don't mind the ride height, those where stock suspension, now I have adjustable suspension and the car is low af. I named it "Miku", since it's blue and I'm a very big fan of Hatsune Miku, one of the biggest representative icon of Japanese culture. Now Miku is sitting under construction in the workshop. The engine is being modified to Stage 3 with custom map, approx 300 HP. VAG coils conversion, new intercooler with custom fabricated front, and other little stuff that makes it a great car. -Suspension: front JIC Magic, rear Tein -Diff: S14 welded -Arms: Driftworks adjustable arm -Wheels: Kosei K3 Emery Gold -Radiator: Driftworks SuperCool -Intercooler: Race-spec Forge -Turbo: S14 T28 at 1 bar -Boost controller: HKS EVC 5 -Coils: VAG R8 / Gallardo coils with custom fabricated harness -Steering wheel: official OMP -Exhaust: 2.5 inch straight pipe -Rear lights: Type X clear style -Skyline GT-R R32 444cc injectors -Z32 MAF -HKS Super Power Flow air filter -NISMO oil filter -Custom fabricated Power Brace -And lots of stuff and hours spend in this car This is my second car, the daily one. A 1993 Suzuki Swift GTI. Cheap, lightweight and fast. And I mean... really fast. This nugget has a 1.3 Twim Cam engine dropping 101 HP. Can rev up to 9000 and has torque in every single rpm (not like the Civics). I called it the "Madrid's White Comet" since the previous owner slap it a Red Suns sticker. Although this little poor car is just too small for me, I need a more powered car with RWD, so I'm planning on selling it and buying something like a Lexus IS200. Here comes the good stuff, the workshop. It's a little garage but enough to fit some cool cars in. We have just started in this business and we already have big reputation in the sector.

1 pointThe developers don't think any suggestion is bad. I do like the idea, and I think that it could be a possibility.

1 pointHi! I'm Chris, and I love this idea of this game. This sounds really awesome. I can't wait to get started the day the first module is released. If anyone wants to hang out when the game starts up hit me up and I'd love to chill.

1 pointI'm honestly not sure if there will be an actual stock market, however you are able to privately invest with business owners and work out an arrangement to receive a percentage of their profits.

1 pointLike it has been said, I don't believe any server will be wiped after release. No major MMO that I know of ever does this - it would destroy them. Imagine putting months of time and effort into making a successful business, acquiring a house and vehicle, only to have it taken away from you? That would completely destroy your desire to play. Depending on the popularity, new servers may pop up randomly, and you can restart anew there, but a wipe on servers after release is just a very bad move.
-
1 pointThe modules are technically alpha. Once all three modules are implemented and tied together, we'll be closer to beta.
-
1 pointThere are plans for a gym/working out feature in game. I'm not sure if it's as in-depth for working out certain parts of your body. But you can definitely gain and lose weight. This feature is expected to be included in an update shortly after the full game release.
-
1 pointIf you pay for the $15 pledge you will have full access to the game when it is fully released. If you pledge $30 or more then you will have access to all of the modules and beta access which will be released prior to the full release of the game. If you wait to buy the game until after it is too late to pledge, I believe the game will be listed at $45 standard. Hope this helped.
-
1 pointWell the only reason the police would need to pay a visit is if you started illegally street racing.
-
1 pointHe didn't ask about when it is out, he said can he "record" lets play videos in the beta/ modules. @tekima Yes you are allowed to do that in the modules and beta version of the game as has been confirmed already by the devs.

1 pointSince the 1960s, the expanding income-inequality gap between the upper-quintiles (rich) and lower quintiles (poor) have increased dramatically considering that the capitalist system has resulted in the formation of an oligopoly, which is classified as the "late-stages of capitalism" or "imperialism" By Vladimir Lenin. In the process, enacting neo-liberal policies that abolish any form of government interference with wages or tariffs has resulted in multi-national corporations, such as Nestle, to claim ownership of freshwater rivers within India. Due to Nestle's mass-production of water within India, local farmers struggle with the ability to harvest any crops. Thus, the Indian farmers are expected to attain a loan from a bank in order to purchase water bottles and coca-cola from Nestle in order to harvest and sell crops within their region. However, the profits that are accumulated from harvesting and distributing these crops are usually spent on paying off their debts to the banks. Thus, farmers labor extensively within a cycle of paying off debts rather than progressing through the financial ladder of capitalism. It is a broken system that must be resolved through Socialism. P.S. First-world nations or developed nations prosper due to sweatshop labour overseas. Otherwise, commodities would be overpriced to the extent that the average working-class citizen within North-America or Western Europe would struggle with the ability to afford the product considering that companies are expected to maximize their profits.

1 pointWith Capitalism only those with impact on the market truly have the opportunity to peruse happiness and will most likely attain it. Capitalism is only a system to create a Consumer mass public with a Supplier upper class. This makes a Consumer class a mandatory need for the economy, forcing the mass population under a dollar value, dependant on an inflating market. Thus you get Bubble Economies that pop when they inflate to an unstable point, and forces a depression and/or a recession on the market. Examples of this is the Automotive Bubble, and the upcoming Mortgage Bubble that is reported to be popping anytime. These Bubbles were made through grey market moves and exploitation of the Capitalist Market. Millionaires can happen within Communism, however this would become more a reality for a Communist (True Communist) when the economy became self sustaining and stable. The true reality with Communism is to break the concept of need class within a society, not to force a blanket pay amount to everyone. A doctor in Communism will still be respected and paid for his work, he is just no better than a labourer, each are vital in their own field. The "Democratic" governments of North America have just done the most they can to taint the ideal of Communism, and the "Communist" Governments of today aren't actually Communism, bit actually Dictatorships or Totalitarian Governments hiding behind the tainted concept of Communism.

1 pointI am interested in owning a restaurant. Definitely in the town square area (not necessarily in the main town square). What are my options to the food I can sell, and the style of my restaurant. I want to create a steak house, a classy restaurant which requires a blazer dress code. Is any of this possible? Can I sell steak? and only steak?

1 pointI can see car meets being a regular thing across all kinds of servers, a great way to meet new people and hang out in general in a nice part of the city. In the latest dev interview though I don't know how much variety you will have with cars, they have said the game theme in general is a modern America and most people will be driving standard sedans and SUV's (to being with anyway) so not an emphasis on old classics etc, however in the first look there is clearly a muscle car in the garage so there might be something but also that might be the only thing to choose. In the end its about the social aspect of the gathering but I would like to see a range of both new cars and old classics make their way into the game at some point especially if upgrading and tweaking your vehicles is very detailed with a ton of features

1 pointIn a game where you can shoot up heroin and deal crack, I'm sure it'll be possible to smoke.

1 pointMost likely illegal activity will have the highest reward, with the highest risk. As far as legal goes, I hear banking is quite profitable...
-
1 pointI'll see you around in the car scene, that's for sure! I dunno what will be possible right off the bat from racing to customizing cars, but whatever it is count me in! That is primarily what I want to do in this game is customize, race and showoff cars. So hopefully the devs nail this aspect of the game.

1 pointBest way to prevent corruption is to reduce power in government to prevent government overreach, and give the power to the people to make their decisions. I think you'll agree with my policies:

1 pointI don't know where you guys are getting your paramedic ideas Those all look like Lifeflight or European outfitted paramedics. This is what a typical paramedic looks like. I love the dark blue polo with tac pants shown in the left picture. However where I live, city paramedics are mandated to wear bullet-resistant vests for protection like in the picture on the right. Some people might say that if you haven't been feeling well and call for an ambulance and you get 2 men in body armor that show up at your door is a little overkill. However take that same unit and now they have to respond to a domestic violence or active shooter/crime call with police because someone decided to shoot someone else and they need help. You don't pick and choose your calls and you don't have the luxury of dicking around deciding whether or not a vest is good to put on or not for that run.
