Hello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

Given that there is a fair bit of world building already done in Identity, I figured I would write a story about the daily life of my character Carpe Pecuniam. It will most likely be a work in progress that I'll add more to as i'm inspired to do so. Anyway, here goes... My days always begin alone. I wake up in my queen size mattress, with no wife or girlfriend, while this bothers me to a certain extent, It is quickly pushed to the back of my mind. I'm married to my company, there is always time for that later. Dollabank has been growing incredibly quickly since it was first founded. With somewhat of a rocky start, the company was now seeing it's best days. Being the biggest cash cow on the market, I had more responsibility than ever. I needed to make sure everyone from my clients to my investors and especially my employees were all happy. My penthouse, while appearing luxurious to the working class, was actually quite small compared to the other monstrosities that some richer friend's of mine owned. It consisted of a humble living room with a beautiful Bay Window display overlooking the city. This area contained an open kitchen complete with a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and an empty liquor cabinet. The floor was soft bamboo, which easily connected to the hardwood floors of the rest of the house. A marble counter-top lay upon the the open wall of the kitchen, with a few mahogany stools on either side of the fixture. Connected to the living room were two bedrooms to the north of the penthouse and a bedroom and a bathroom on the south side. As i made my usual Tuesday morning breakfast, a 4 egg omelette with chives, french bread, microwave sausage and orange juice, I glanced over at my stove clock: 8:30. It sure is good to be the boss, I thought to myself. Had this been earlier in my career working for JP Morgan I would have to be rushing out the door in order to wait in traffic for an hour. Nowadays, while I pride myself in my diligence and work ethic, I do take a few liberties. If I arrive to work 10 or 15 minutes late, it won't bankrupt me. Locking up my penthouse and taking the elevator down, I find myself with a familiar stranger. We are both wearing a Keys brand suit, so I decide to strike up a conversation. "That suit fits your form really well, was it tailor made?" "Are you hitting on me?" The man replies, rather upset with the homosexual advance he imagined I was making. "Nevermind." I stated quickly, not wanting to invoke any other false allegations. We awkwardly avoided eye contact until the elevator doors opened and I thought I would finally be relieved from the discomfort. This however was not the case. As the man and I both drove to work we have the pleasure of each others and eye contact avoidance until we at last entered the garage and parted ways. I thought saying goodbye or making a remark about seeing him tomorrow, would be appropriate, however given the probability that he would most likely perceive the remark as a homosexual advance, I thought better of it. Given that it was Tuesday I decided on driving my BMW, the other two choices being my much older Rolls Royce, and my newer, midlife crisis (even though I'm in my 30s), Lamborghini. I drove my BMW on Tuesdays through Thursday given it's higher fuel economy, the other two cars I mostly use for board meetings (and Mondays) and night my night life respectively. My drive to work was uneventful as usual. I flipped through the radio stations and decided on 44.3 Outlaw. It was mostly advertisements for the upcoming election, I took a mental note of some of the candidates, but I wasn't paying too much attention. On my route I did pass by the DollaBank billboard I just made a payment on. My father being a billboard salesmen, it filled me with a sense of pride to see my company's brand being elevated on a pedestal above a major highway on a glorious, white billboard. Even if it wasn't the most optimal way to advertise, I still feel it was worth it. When I finally arrive at my office at 9:40, it was a hectic mess. That is to say, it's usually a hectic mess and today was no different. Anyone who says finance is boring has never worked for me I chuckled to myself. I find it therapeutic to sometimes just stand at the entrance and watch my employees work. As my eyes shift from one to the next, watching them all work hard to complete their daily assignments, I find myself reflecting on how far my company has come. I started DollaBank when this city was just beginning, with only a few employees. The fact that over 50 were working for me now, and it's only been 2 years, it's unbelievable. "Mr. Peciuam, phone call for you." I'm snapped out of my daydream by the caring, yet urgent voice of my secretary. "Sorry about that Lynda" I said. "Put them on speaker in my office, I'll be there in a minute. Did you catch who it was by any chance?" "It's The People's Party, they want you to support them in the race and donate to their campaign. Also try and make it quick, there is a representative of the Langston Family in the lobby" "What?" I croaked, in a manner that failed the convey the anger, confusion, and fear I felt upon hearing that name. "Can't a lower manager tell them to leave? It's against policy for us to involve ourselves with organized crime, not to mention highly illegal. They have no business here, I've been refusing the mob since I first set up shop" "They're refusing to leave unless they see you personally and are saying that, 'we'll make you an offer you can't refuse'" Lynda said this last part in a horribly fake Italian accent. I always wondered how she could take matters involving millions of dollars so lightly. To Be Continued..... Will Post Part 2 Tomorrow.

Stop being such a jerk, he can adapt his idea the way he likes. "You're literally another "rat kid" with unoriginal void ideas lmao" "From the developer himself dumbass" "You're just another 'Car meet-up' fool." Stop being so toxic and go to another community if you'll behave like this.

Yo isn't this game supposed to be rated 18+? y'all children go play some Minecraft or something.

I am too. But if we were going to do that kind of thing on Halloween I'd want the spook houses to be good. None of that cheap thrill crap. I'm talking about creative and terrifying. I wouldn't want them to be too short either. No 5 minute walkthrough. I'm thinking more like 15 minutes. They do that and I'm sure it would be a hit.
  15. 2 points
I think that the module will release on May 4th because "May The fourth Be With you devs" I plan to meet new people and have some laughs with everyone.

What a crazy several weeks since the last dev blog post! The increased exposure and attention from the apartment video has resulted in a surge of additional funding for Identity, which has translated into an expanded team with two new full-time developers coming on board and more to join soon. Work has been going very well. Motown, your community manager, has started transitioning into the role of producer to help manage our expanding team. This has helped to reduce some of the work-load on myself so it's been a very welcome change and he's proving to be great for the role. Our lead character artist, Miroslav, has been hard at work on numerous enhancements including building our makeup and blemish systems. This will give us the freedom to add all kinds of makeup options, especially for females but also for men. Your options at character creation will be a bit limited, but a vanity table will let you customize your makeup much further. Blemishes allow us to modify the skin in a whole lot of ways, from just a little blush on the cheeks to full-body freckles and more. Miroslav has also done an excellent job expanding eye customization for your characters which won't just tint the color of the iris but change its entire pattern to properly match the styles seen in those eyes in reality. He's also expanded our options for hair and facial hair. Feature development has also been going quickly and smoothly. Among others, we've built the contacts and friends systems which will be available in the Town Square module. When you meet people in the world you'll be able to exchange contact information, adding their number and name to your phone. This then acts like a friends list in other games, but you can even text or phone them with real working voice systems. It's also integrated with your Steam friends to make finding them easier. Environment art is also moving along, with several artists working full-time to give you beautiful environments. We've hired on some more artists and are even reworking some of the earlier assets we produced to bring the up to our now higher standards. Identity YouTube channel PowerGaming7 had the chance to speak with myself and Motown for a while after asking his viewers for a bunch of questions to ask. The result was an almost one hour long video where we shared all sorts of information you may not have heard before. You can find the link to this video right here. Once again, I want to thank every one of you for your continued support! Every pledge that comes in goes straight into the development of new features and helps us get the game to you a little bit faster. The attention we've seen over the last couple of months has been staggering, and we are excited to show you more of the gameplay soon!

The High Society If anyone is interested in starting a Cannabis grow operation feel free to message my (Operations Manager)TRIIZ he handles all incoming applications and will submit them to the CEO for finalization. This is currently a rough copy so changes will be made as more updates come out. Goals- To start a network of marijuana production and distribution for the purpose of making some cash and building a reputation of a trustworthy business you can rely on. This after all, is not a "gang" but more of a enterprise, we do not classify our customers no matter of what career they've chosen(unless their cops). We distribute our products to all parts of the island, whether you be in a populated city or hidden in a dense forest. Our products will reach you and will satisfy your needs. I also hope to expand my network to include a money laundering operation to keep the heat off our organization(unless the sale and manufacture of Cannabis becomes legal, but we'll cross that bridge when it presents itself.) Recruitment- Prospective members must chip-in monthly for the Organizations equipment and potential upgrades and/or any legal trouble members may have. Provide information on other Cannabis grow operations in your local areas. Once the beta goes online I will layout our territory given pre-discussing with other Clubs/Organizations so we don't step on any toes. Members may not have a criminal record when they join. If a member does get themselves in trouble with the law, The leader will back the member with financial support and retribution is necessary. Method- Hopefully warehouse space or farm land will be available to buy, If not you'll have to use a network of apartments for production. Transfer that production to a central location for inventory then distribute. A network of apartments am willing to help you develop. *I should say the town square module will be the testing ground for network production through apartments. Warehouses may come later on but for major production as of right now, a network will need to be established. Members- Currently, we have no members, but as The High Society is a newly formed business, it is not surprising. Nevertheless, with future endeavors, our list will hopefully grow to safely provide you the finest products in the quickest time possible. Prohibited Actions- 1-Providing information to other business and/or individuals 2-Snitch to the authorities on the whereabouts of the cannabis farms 3-Stealing cannabis to your own use Structure CEO: Makeshift VP: ASSASSINWOLF3568 Marketing Manager: DaHzxrd Operations manager: TRIIZ Distributors: Open (3) Growers: Open (Unlimited Amount) Dealers: Open (Unlimited Amount) Application: Future RP Name: What Position are you applying for?: Steam Profile and Identity Profile link: Forums Rank/Identity pre-order package(founder, citizen, cabbie etc?: Will you be in attendance for modules?: Do you understand the requirements for admission into this Organization?: Why should we accept you?: What is your current reputation in-game and/or forums (1-10, 1=not so good, 10=fantastic!):

@JamesLuck01 When I talk about RP and thats not what im here for then its ofc. ment as I dont want to pretend through RP that im ex. a teen or half russian or anything simular. But in some meaning it is RP to play any game, but thats not the normal terms when people talk about RP. As well do I not plan to go to servers with dedicated RP, fine if people have fun with it, its just not for me. The same way I have it with hardcore PvP, im an old gamer (started in mid ´80´ish to play computer games) And I had my fair share of PvP games, so im looking for something else. Im sorry if that did confuse you.

Thanks for showing your interest in Supreme! The prices will be a little above normal market price of your average T-shirt, or your average Hoodie. (Except for Box Logos, because of how iconic they are. A box logo T-shirt will run about $45. Still, not too expensive, but not on the super cheap end either.) However, these items are VERY limited in supply and only are released in events called "drops" which are every other Saturday at 9PM PST where we open our doors for customers come buy whatever they can while it's in supply. What this means, is that the resell price in the in-game market will probably have extreme mark-ups. Of course, we here at Supreme don't appreciate this, but it's bound to happen. So, if you're looking to cop some Supreme, make sure you don't miss our drops! We'll have advertising everywhere in Roseport and Ash Hill, as well as post on our website (which can be found here: http://supremeclothing.co.nf/_gallery_.html) on the items in our collection "drops", as well as the times of these "drops". Until further notice, every drop will be on every other Saturday at 9PM PST.

Identity is one game where mods will make everything worse. It will provide an advantage to some people while other people will be left to fend for themselves. Stick to Fallout 4 or Skyrim if you want to mod and leave Identity to those who play on equal ground.

Running for Governor automatically puts a target on your head! These are the threats to look forward to! Started conversation: 8 hours ago · Report "I see you are on quite a roll on becoming governor. But, sadly I'm going to have to ask you to slow it down and stop this journey. I have a client that is interested in becoming the governor and I'm making sure he gets his wish. You can always go in when he resigns or when there is another election. No, on all servers because people will make mods which heavily change the game itself from realism to fantasy. I'd personally rather the devs create all the content.

He sounds like he is talking about in "Real Life". but I think that they shouldn't get a tag because that is not needed but it still is a cool idea but the info is out on the internet and other sources as far as I am aware and so they don't need police officers specifically if they like the idea or even what they think and more that we as one "The community" can say and the opinions of all should matter and not just "Real Life" police officers.

i agree with this, especially on hours that the servers could be slow, it would not be fun to drive around the city or walk around an empty city. filler NPC wouldn't be a bad idea, but that would just be a lot of extra work i'M sure ( not something they would need to do right away) and id like the marriage idea, someone you can actually somewhat build an empire with. thank god for VOIP chat too because my wife better not have a deeper voice than me.

It's been a busy, eventful and productive month for the Identity team at Asylum! Only a few weeks ago we released our first video showing real in-game content, the player housing system, and Identity has gotten a good bit of much-needed exposure! If you haven't seen the video, visit Identity's YouTube channel. Our programmers, especially Henrik Sonesson, have upgraded our inventory mechanics and created two new important gameplay systems these last weeks. The library which you'll have access to in the Town Square module is now in place and functional. Players can both read public domain classic books in-game, or even write their own and submit them to the library for other players to read. In addition, the NPC shop systems are now in place. When you enter most shops you'll be able to find the items you need on racks or displays around the store. Grab what it is you're looking for and then make your way to the cash register to make the purchase. In some places you can preview the items you're holding even before buying; for example, in a clothing store you can go into a change room. This system even allows for shoplifting some items, although player-crafted or very expensive items cannot be shoplifted on official servers. On the art front, we've brought on new artists and are continuing to build the world you'll be exploring. We've also been focusing on the interiors of buildings and characters. We've gotten our first facial hair assets and are approaching a complete character customization system. An overhaul of character skin and hair has Identity's characters looking incredibly life-like in comparison to other MMORPGs. Next on that list for a re-work is the eyes.

Why not ? Modding brings new life into games. For example a modder of Ark, a game made on the same engine as this one, made a map so awesome that the devs included it in the official game and even hired him at their studio. The map was way better than the ones in the original game. Imagine what modding could bring to this game...a new kind of Open Sim with Unreal graphics, and a lot more activities to do. Blueprints also make scripting a lot easier for everyone . The community potential is huge for this game .

My main concern is 'GTA syndrome'. The very last thing I want is for Identity to go down the road where it becomes little more than GTA Online with frills. I understand that it's a game, but at the same time I also understand that it has to be fun for everyone, once crime becomes the norm, once there is a kidnapping every twenty minutes, it'll get old fast. Crime will play a big part in the rise or fall of Identity, but if it gets to the point where the 'social' players stop logging in, then it'll be in trouble. I think to succeed, Identity is going to have to fully appeal to a broader range of play styles, and appeal to them in the long term & just like in real life, a high rate of crime is going to drive those players away. Hopefully a broad range of server types will sort that out, but I guess we'll see.

My main issue is the crime to "normal" jobs ratio. Coming from GMod I know how often the mafia/BMD/etc. factions are chosen over chef or creating your own job as a civilian, and I hope it's the opposite with Identity and there's a healthy mix, if not more "normal" jobs than crime. Not that I expect there to be no crime, I just want to actually roleplay something other than being mugged or being taken hostage.
