Hello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

Given that there is a fair bit of world building already done in Identity, I figured I would write a story about the daily life of my character Carpe Pecuniam. It will most likely be a work in progress that I'll add more to as i'm inspired to do so. Anyway, here goes... My days always begin alone. I wake up in my queen size mattress, with no wife or girlfriend, while this bothers me to a certain extent, It is quickly pushed to the back of my mind. I'm married to my company, there is always time for that later. Dollabank has been growing incredibly quickly since it was first founded. With somewhat of a rocky start, the company was now seeing it's best days. Being the biggest cash cow on the market, I had more responsibility than ever. I needed to make sure everyone from my clients to my investors and especially my employees were all happy. My penthouse, while appearing luxurious to the working class, was actually quite small compared to the other monstrosities that some richer friend's of mine owned. It consisted of a humble living room with a beautiful Bay Window display overlooking the city. This area contained an open kitchen complete with a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and an empty liquor cabinet. The floor was soft bamboo, which easily connected to the hardwood floors of the rest of the house. A marble counter-top lay upon the the open wall of the kitchen, with a few mahogany stools on either side of the fixture. Connected to the living room were two bedrooms to the north of the penthouse and a bedroom and a bathroom on the south side. As i made my usual Tuesday morning breakfast, a 4 egg omelette with chives, french bread, microwave sausage and orange juice, I glanced over at my stove clock: 8:30. It sure is good to be the boss, I thought to myself. Had this been earlier in my career working for JP Morgan I would have to be rushing out the door in order to wait in traffic for an hour. Nowadays, while I pride myself in my diligence and work ethic, I do take a few liberties. If I arrive to work 10 or 15 minutes late, it won't bankrupt me. Locking up my penthouse and taking the elevator down, I find myself with a familiar stranger. We are both wearing a Keys brand suit, so I decide to strike up a conversation. "That suit fits your form really well, was it tailor made?" "Are you hitting on me?" The man replies, rather upset with the homosexual advance he imagined I was making. "Nevermind." I stated quickly, not wanting to invoke any other false allegations. We awkwardly avoided eye contact until the elevator doors opened and I thought I would finally be relieved from the discomfort. This however was not the case. As the man and I both drove to work we have the pleasure of each others and eye contact avoidance until we at last entered the garage and parted ways. I thought saying goodbye or making a remark about seeing him tomorrow, would be appropriate, however given the probability that he would most likely perceive the remark as a homosexual advance, I thought better of it. Given that it was Tuesday I decided on driving my BMW, the other two choices being my much older Rolls Royce, and my newer, midlife crisis (even though I'm in my 30s), Lamborghini. I drove my BMW on Tuesdays through Thursday given it's higher fuel economy, the other two cars I mostly use for board meetings (and Mondays) and night my night life respectively. My drive to work was uneventful as usual. I flipped through the radio stations and decided on 44.3 Outlaw. It was mostly advertisements for the upcoming election, I took a mental note of some of the candidates, but I wasn't paying too much attention. On my route I did pass by the DollaBank billboard I just made a payment on. My father being a billboard salesmen, it filled me with a sense of pride to see my company's brand being elevated on a pedestal above a major highway on a glorious, white billboard. Even if it wasn't the most optimal way to advertise, I still feel it was worth it. When I finally arrive at my office at 9:40, it was a hectic mess. That is to say, it's usually a hectic mess and today was no different. Anyone who says finance is boring has never worked for me I chuckled to myself. I find it therapeutic to sometimes just stand at the entrance and watch my employees work. As my eyes shift from one to the next, watching them all work hard to complete their daily assignments, I find myself reflecting on how far my company has come. I started DollaBank when this city was just beginning, with only a few employees. The fact that over 50 were working for me now, and it's only been 2 years, it's unbelievable. "Mr. Peciuam, phone call for you." I'm snapped out of my daydream by the caring, yet urgent voice of my secretary. "Sorry about that Lynda" I said. "Put them on speaker in my office, I'll be there in a minute. Did you catch who it was by any chance?" "It's The People's Party, they want you to support them in the race and donate to their campaign. Also try and make it quick, there is a representative of the Langston Family in the lobby" "What?" I croaked, in a manner that failed the convey the anger, confusion, and fear I felt upon hearing that name. "Can't a lower manager tell them to leave? It's against policy for us to involve ourselves with organized crime, not to mention highly illegal. They have no business here, I've been refusing the mob since I first set up shop" "They're refusing to leave unless they see you personally and are saying that, 'we'll make you an offer you can't refuse'" Lynda said this last part in a horribly fake Italian accent. I always wondered how she could take matters involving millions of dollars so lightly. To Be Continued..... Will Post Part 2 Tomorrow.

Stop being such a jerk, he can adapt his idea the way he likes. "You're literally another "rat kid" with unoriginal void ideas lmao" "From the developer himself dumbass" "You're just another 'Car meet-up' fool." Stop being so toxic and go to another community if you'll behave like this.

Yo isn't this game supposed to be rated 18+? y'all children go play some Minecraft or something.

I am too. But if we were going to do that kind of thing on Halloween I'd want the spook houses to be good. None of that cheap thrill crap. I'm talking about creative and terrifying. I wouldn't want them to be too short either. No 5 minute walkthrough. I'm thinking more like 15 minutes. They do that and I'm sure it would be a hit.

I think that the module will release on May 4th because "May The fourth Be With you devs" I plan to meet new people and have some laughs with everyone.

What a crazy several weeks since the last dev blog post! The increased exposure and attention from the apartment video has resulted in a surge of additional funding for Identity, which has translated into an expanded team with two new full-time developers coming on board and more to join soon. Work has been going very well. Motown, your community manager, has started transitioning into the role of producer to help manage our expanding team. This has helped to reduce some of the work-load on myself so it's been a very welcome change and he's proving to be great for the role. Our lead character artist, Miroslav, has been hard at work on numerous enhancements including building our makeup and blemish systems. This will give us the freedom to add all kinds of makeup options, especially for females but also for men. Your options at character creation will be a bit limited, but a vanity table will let you customize your makeup much further. Blemishes allow us to modify the skin in a whole lot of ways, from just a little blush on the cheeks to full-body freckles and more. Miroslav has also done an excellent job expanding eye customization for your characters which won't just tint the color of the iris but change its entire pattern to properly match the styles seen in those eyes in reality. He's also expanded our options for hair and facial hair. Feature development has also been going quickly and smoothly. Among others, we've built the contacts and friends systems which will be available in the Town Square module. When you meet people in the world you'll be able to exchange contact information, adding their number and name to your phone. This then acts like a friends list in other games, but you can even text or phone them with real working voice systems. It's also integrated with your Steam friends to make finding them easier. Environment art is also moving along, with several artists working full-time to give you beautiful environments. We've hired on some more artists and are even reworking some of the earlier assets we produced to bring the up to our now higher standards. Identity YouTube channel PowerGaming7 had the chance to speak with myself and Motown for a while after asking his viewers for a bunch of questions to ask. The result was an almost one hour long video where we shared all sorts of information you may not have heard before. You can find the link to this video right here. Once again, I want to thank every one of you for your continued support! Every pledge that comes in goes straight into the development of new features and helps us get the game to you a little bit faster. The attention we've seen over the last couple of months has been staggering, and we are excited to show you more of the gameplay soon!

DEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

"Mountain Films" Production Company is a film studio, television production company and motion picture distributor. The company was founded by Michael Costa in 1954 in Vinewood, the current head director and the CEO is Duncan Costa. The company moved to Red County with the aim to provide another level of entertainment to the residents of Red County. Since 1954, Mountain Films has distributed various commercially successful films, such as "The Creation of the Mountain Films" (Documentary, 1967), "Last Days of Micah" (Drama, 1992), "Ninja-Jack" (Unfinished version)(Action/Fantasy, 1992), and they're planning to create even more. Another purpose of the company is to find new talents and train them around Red County. The company plans to create colorful films in many genres such as: - Action - Adventure - Comedy - Romance - Drama - Documentaries - Horror - Science Fiction "It's time you to leave your country and move to Roseport!" - Nines Reyes, General Director of Mountain Films, 2011 "We at Mountain Films view ourselves as philanthropists. By recruiting talented actors, we give them an outlet for success! We turn the common rabble into pinnacles of drama and pop culture! In other words, we work to make you famous!" - Michael Costa, 1994 "That thing's huge, dad. Where'd you get it?" Ryan stared in amazement at the huge box his dad was lugging out of the Boxville. He leaped out and landed on his feet, and began walking toward their modest home. "Hard work, kid. Thats where I got this." It would take Duncan guts, strength, and a little bit more than hard work until he finally understood what his dad was saying. The year was 1990. The streets of Dallas, Texas were hip with promotions and kingpins in the film business, and his Ryan's dad was a large part of it, being the CEO of the film production company, which was then known as Volcano Films. Sometimes, Michael Costa would come home tired and frustrated, skipping on dinner and leaving his wife, Helen Rivers, to fend for their child that night. Things changed in 1994, once the two'd gotten married. Not only had Ryan, at age fourteen, began to view himself as an independent man, but the luck of Michael Costa in his film business. He began coming home happier than a sloth in slumber. It became known to us that his films were selling like Coca Cola in the 1930's. With this came certain luxuries; my dad bought not only a new Cadillac, but a bus for all his staff, and actors. One day, Michael had asked Ryan if he wanted to come with him on one of the film sets. Of course he'd done this a hundred times before, but this time, they were going all the way out to Nevada to film in Reno. The trip was splendid, because Ryan met lots of famous actors, the staff were really nice, and he passed through a lot of cities with pretty views. It was thrilling to be going so far away from home, and to be on the set while the movies were being filmed. When they got there, all the actors got off the bus, while the staff went to the back and retrieved the equipment. It took them quite a while to set up, but once the filming began, Ryan, oddly for the first time in his life, began to see the magic, the art of film. His entire life he'd viewed another's work, from the exterior. Looking at movies wasn't a critical thing, just entertainment. But what he saw in the interior was what mattered at this moment. He watched his dad direct the entire thing. He was creating this beautiful kinetic art with nothing but his imagination, stage directions, and a huge camera. It was these moments that sealed the fate of Ryan. In the year of 2000, Ryan's father passed away from an unknown disorder. In his will, he'd left Ryan his camera, money, and keys to the studio as well as the ownership papers, in his name. He'd left Ryan the business of Volcano Films. Not only did Ryan have large shoes to fill, but he had things to change. With his fathers business came the respect and disrespect of the locals. "You're a Costa kid. I know for sure you can pull this off." "Duncan, you're a try-hard with stunning determination. You can reboot the business." "If your father could do it, anyone could!" "I suppose its worth a try. You can pick up where he left off, continue his legacy." __________________________________________________ "You can't pick up where your father started." "Volcano Films is dead. It died along with your father." "Its over, kid. Go find yourself a nice job and try to forget about it." "Just because you're Michael's kid doesn't mean you can be as great as him." Ryan would eventually prove these men wrong. After days of hard work, a paintbrush, and some welding and printing, Ryan had redone his fathers studio, into what is now and will forever be known as Mountain Films. Immediately, he hired some actors and began business, creating his first feature film, "The Light Shines White". As he was the director in this film, he felt a certain power within. He was creating art. And it felt amazing. He knew it was his calling, he knew this was what he was born to do, and what he would die to do. His pleasure was cut short. After the film was done and was sent out into the world, Its reception was not so great. This caused Ryan to be short of the money needed to keep the studio and pay the bills at home. He only had $60,000 left in his bank account, and it would run out in 3 weeks time if he used it for all the bills and utilities. So Ryan withdrew everything out of his bank account, then a week later, filed for bankruptcy. But more than 5 years later, this wouldn't be the end of Mountain films. Requirements for Actors: Talent Requirements for Staff member: Patience and Hardwork Requirements for Extras: Existence Requirements for Cameramen: Camera (Amazing Screenshot 1.1) There will most likely be a green/white Bus and a Boxville wherever shooting is taking place. Don't be shy and apply for any position you'd like. Give it a shot! Head Director : Ryan Costa General Director : Cameraman and voice recording director : Make-up and outfit artist(s) : Lighting Director(s) : Actor/Actress(s) : Ps : The roster is empty because there is no one to fill it up currently. Here you can find the screenshots related to the faction roleplay and the movies made by the faction! Nothing currently.

No, as it is not out yet! You'll have to wait until the first module (Considered an alpha stage) is released to play any part of the game, which is estimated to come out in the next 2-3 weeks. However, the devs have yet to release an exact date, so this is purely a guestimation. The beta won't be released until around early 2018, which is still an estimate and could be pushed back!

To add on to what @Hatoful is saying, The 1st Module will be playable soon but it is not out as of yet. You will have to download the installer from this site when the module is available and download the module from that installer. The game will be available on steam ONLY at full game release which is likely to be some time next year.

You will be able to redeem your rewards on one official server which acts, which redeems it for all of them as it will be one database. However if you spend the $1k on server 1 then on server 2 you will only have the amount you have left after spending on server 1. The developers are / will try and get it so you can redeem the pledges on all unofficial servers too, which will be redeemable one time per each server (on it's own database).

I'll do so, but just to specify...the 10% being taxed to businesses is only bein taxed to profit. After employees have been paid, spending has been done etc. A business could almost end up having hardly any tax!

I'm an avid player in secondlife aswell i see where that disgust comes from all to well. so i'd have to stand by my first opinion on no ai's certainly kids. (maybe a dog you can train to defend in pvp) but i think that's as far as i'd go. they've already had their work cut out for them developing, so far adding in pointless ai's would just outsource the game for another two three, or even more years. while i'm sure there could be a good few benefits, but the goal was to stick with no ai's from the get go for many reasons. It's to be a player based game, but i'm sure they'll have some kind of add in ai's or fillers, even if they only wander in your own home.

May 1st It would make the most sense that the release date of the 1st module would be 1 month exactly after the initial announced date. I pledged $60, so I would start off with $1000 in game cash. Even though this is pretty decent, I would probably start working a bunch of small jobs here and there to build up my savings to then finally open my business with a bit more capital than my initial funds for when the actual game comes out and we can rent out shop locations.

What day the module is gonna release: My person is assuming that the first module shall be released during May 1, 2017. • Why it's gonna release on that day: Merely an assumption that is based on the idea that the module would've been released one month later than it's initial release date. • And what you're going to do the first day of play! My character may function as a transporter in order to transport individuals throughout the map. However, during the module, the character shall merely invest it's time with ANY job that provides the character with a decent wage.

Identity is one game where mods will make everything worse. It will provide an advantage to some people while other people will be left to fend for themselves. Stick to Fallout 4 or Skyrim if you want to mod and leave Identity to those who play on equal ground.

I know some females in this community want to play as a man in the game and also males as females. There will be a weird mix and it would be funny, if a male playing a female and a female playing a male got married, as that would be something new and maybe awkward

Dear haters of this game, I understand that a lot of people have many doubts on this game thinking that it will be a 2nd "No Man's Sky" and it's too ambitious of a project, or simply just impossible, then please reconsider and give this game a chance. Yes there are a lot of expectations in this game and yes it has limitations but this game is striving to become a new genre all in itself. After this game comes out, or even before, you might see big corporations trying to copy this as this has become very popular and very unique. This brings me to my main point. If your trying to say that this game is like those made by major corporations, it's not. It's made by a small team of developers who fantasized about this type of game. Instead of sitting around like the rest of us do and expect a game like this to be handed to us, they took the initiative and MADE this game. Also, we aren't buying "early access" per say. We are giving the developers money to continue working on this game and bring this community something that we all enjoy. Most of us are here because we wanted this type of game to come out and when it did, we all jumped on the great idea and are trying to make it a reality. The people who pledge $30 or more will get beta access, yes. This doesn't mean that they are trying to suck all the money out of us as they can. They simply NEED funding unlike games made by BE or BLIZZARD or Valve, etc. I hope you put this here as a joke. If you meant this in a detrimental way then I think that you need to find a better use of your time. Again, the people of the Identity community love this game and wish for it to be a reality. If we didn't buy "early access" and all the other perks, then there would be no game. Valve can pump out new games for as long as they want without selling early access. They can make games that are F2P and have no micro transactions whatsoever simply because of the fact that they have the funding too and will be bringing in more money than they know what to do with. This being said, Asylum Entertainment has no major funding expect for the people that like the community and the game. I can't speak for everyone, but I think that most people part of the community appreciate what Asylum Entertainment is doing and giving us a game that is 1. Cheap, 2. NOT pay to win, and 3. Something that a lot of people have fantasized about for a long time. You can buy the game and become the most powerful person on the official servers just by playing and being dedicated. I am not 100% on this but I heard that it will cost around $15 USD to buy the full game. There are micro transactions but they are purely cosmetic. This is purely a community based driven game. Almost the whole world is controlled by the people. This is a game created by the people for the people. If you still have doubts in your mind then that's fine, different people have different opinions and you are entitled to yours. I hope that you can at least not spread hate about this game. Thanks for reading and if you agree then leave a like to show the power of the community and to show that you really care about this game! ~Rem P.S: If this can for some reason get pinned, It might help show the haters the power of the people and community!

That's not the answer. This is the answer: The truth is that rushing to get Identity out there will not work, this is a small indie company, not Rockstar Games, and they will only get this one chance. The once great bastion of PC gaming, the MMO, is failing rapidly, having devolved into a series of below par games that are largely geared to grabbing as much money as possible with a minimum of effort......the dread Free to Play genre. Identity could change that, or at least help to stop the rot. The team at Asylum HAVE to get it right first time, there will be no second chances for these guys. Of course they will make mistakes along the way, they're new at this, and yes there are problems with communication, but give them time, that's what they need the most.
