4 pointsCan people not get this through their thick ass skulls ? 10,000 players on a MMORPG like Identity would be Hiroshima in the server room. Do you people not look at how much work is put into the damn game ? All the features would lag that 'female dog' 24/7. I don't want to hear bs about 'Ohhhhhhh WoW is running 1 billion people servers' do the developers look like they care about WoW servers ? It is two completely different games. 300 is enough I believe but that's my personal belief.

2 pointsHope your surgery goes good and that that you have a fast recovery! Don't worry about the beta coming out, but you might miss the release of the first module, but don't worry you can play it when you're done wth your surgery!

2 pointsAlthough you say you don't like the MC's, I can assure you that the New York chapter has extremely harsh punishments for new recruits (prospects) and people who fuck up. If you have ever heard of an Apache line, yes we will be doing that. Along with dragging people along the road who are tied up to a van or motorcycle, playing one in the chamber and even putting men against wild dogs.
-
2 pointsPersonally, I'd like the "timer" to be your "blood loss" so only when you "bleed out" can you respawn; This will allow a friend to attempt to slow or even stop the bleeding, giving you more time before you die. I'd like there to be an experience system though, whereas the more experience you have the better you can slow/stop the bleeding. It's experience systems like this that truly define your character, allowing you to work your character towards certain specialties (or skills) truly creating a diversity of individuality on the island.

2 pointsI'm just gunna ask one thing: Whe they said they are capable of thousands of players in a server with spatialOS, why does everyone instantly think 1,000? thousands is not 1000..... Also guy who asked this question please learn something about game development that is a really dumb question...
-
2 pointsThat game is a lot less demanding when it comes to performance. The graphics and since it's such an old game, it's running on very good servers, which makes it easy to perform well.
-
2 pointsWe just "changed" it so its easier to understand our concepts. The concept should be easier to understand now.

1 pointCan we get a definition of "outlawish"? Also most of FNF MC's information isn't very public, but normally our patch in ceremony is similar to that of Sons of Silence. The Probate has to fist fight the Charter and literally take their patch from the Charter. This is the only time a Probate can hit a Patched Member, even the Officers.

1 pointUnfortunately, Apple computers are not built for gaming and you will only be able to play on very low graphic settings with lots of game lag, if you are even able to play at all. Apple computers are outstanding for other things, which is why I have a Mac and a PC for gaming, but Mac computers do not even have graphics cards, so you will be playing with Intel integrated graphics (which suck). They are not optimized for gaming, which is why many video games/companies do not even produce video games available for Mac computers. If you want to have an enjoyable experience on the game, I'm afraid you should invest in a medium to high-end gaming computer (because that's what it's looking like the game will need in order to play comfortably). If you are interested in buying separate computer components and hiring someone to put them together for you, I will be more than happy to discuss with you an affordable plan for PC components that will work nicely. I would also be willing to talk with you about buying pre-built PCs if you are interested! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, hope to see you around!

1 pointOfficial servers will not enforce rules/ the servers will be more of a casual RP setting and not hardcore or even serious. This will be one thing that will happen and well the staff will only participate in removing cheaters/ exploiters/ glitchers/ hackers if anything is bypassed their anti cheat or bugs which are game breaking. Don't expect the staff to but in on things which goes against heavy RP aspects/ rules!

1 pointI can only imagine drug's like "Ebola" and "Aids" and so many more would come into play by people as a joke, in that case people would begin to take its associated role-play less seriously. I've made some observations and I can contest once people begin to take something less seriously it will begin to degrade everyone's overall expectations of what's expected in role-play until the official Identity server's are being treated like any Altis Life server; Hence conformity. We want to sustain a high standard of role-play as everyone's expectation when they join Identity for the first time, which will most likely be the case. However, people will begin to push boundaries until eventually they cross a line, the only question is how will the enforcing staff handle these situations. You can not be too lenient otherwise people will undermine the risk's of poor role-play, eventually other's will conform to their standards in role-play until it finally becomes the "norm". Of which, anyone who tries to raise the overall standard's of role-play are criticized often with the argument that "this is just a game", but that's not what this "game" was made for. This game was made to be a life simulator, not another game of Grand Theft Auto. If someone doesn't get that, they should find a server with fewer standard's, however most people openly state it's not "fun" when you're on a role-play server with low standard's; At least 5 separate people have specified that to me. It's the dilemma I've been trying to overcome for a while now, often it deters me from wanting to even get on because everyone has their unique perspective of how role-play should be. It's especially off-putting when someone argues your role-play is "too serious" when I don't find it fun any other way than to treat my character as if I were in their shoes at that moment. *sigh* I guess that's what I'm mostly concerned about, I suppose we'll have to wait and see. There will of course be white-listed "hardcore" role-play communities, in that case I may join one of them depending on how the official server's work out.

1 point2/10 His voice is really raspy and it annoys me, just a very generic and boring song.
-
1 pointyes it possible. its not just one pc that has to handle 10k players. :), but it wont happen becouse of other issues like client side lagg. stuff like dysnc wont happen if its done properly

1 pointHey @winampw and welcome to the identity community. Enjoy your stay here. Well, i'm not dutch but there are few dutch people already here. Greetings from germany
-
1 pointHello and Welcome to the Identity community! Please use all resources available including both FAQ's is appreciated before posting question but if you cannot find the answers you are looking for then don't hesitate to ask and someone will answer them to the best of their knowledge. Nice to meet you and enjoy the wait.
-
1 pointthe server room can handle it fine, becouse they are able to put multiple dedicated servers for one game server. your pc , yeah that would be a different story.
-
1 pointI don't find this post resourceful anymore... Nevertheless it is interesting to watch how discussions can end up with insults and the fact that an information can be repeated tens of times and still be not acquired by most people participating in this debate. We are all looking forward the release of the first module!
-
1 pointOnce the Town Square module has released, found here : http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/ , you can then download the launcher or however they make the game downloadable and play it.

1 pointAwesome, I wish you the best of luck! Muay Thai is very fun. I would assume it's just as hard as boxing. I did lots of conditioning for bones like elbowing and kicking the heavy bag for hours, I remember the first time I started doing it I got like knots on my shins and eblows Haha. Sometimes we would get a partner to condition each other and do things like kicking each other on the inside and outside of the legs with shin pads on, then we would hit our elbows together for a few minutes (We didn't really hit too hard so we would avoid harm but we would hit hard enough to where it hurts a bit so we know it's working.) We also punched each other in the abs and sides with 100 times at least. We also practiced takedowns, clinching, combos, etc. Just lots and lots of stuff, kinda hard to explain everything XD. We did lots of exercise as well, lots of cardio like jogging around the gym building 4 times, jump rope, running in place+ burpies with pushups and running in place after hitting the bag for a few mins until the time starts again or doing sits ups, push ups, flutter kicks, squats, etc. etc. We also had a little weight lifting area. I need to train more before I even considering a match up, I stopped going because I got too busy with school and stuff but I plan on getting back into training asap. But the short answer is it was very fun and it was definitely hard, sorry for the long paragraph haha.

1 pointWas there any mention if the respawn will cost any medical bills? Or any cost of EMT assistance?
-
1 pointLike luck said there is a timer which is the amount of time EMS has to come revive you. While you lay unconscious players will have The ability to steal your money and only that. If you don't get revived and completely die then players can steal your guns and other items on you. When you spawn back in you will lose all the money guns, items, etc. on you. However you will not lose your clothes you will repsawn with the same clothes back on. This is why keeping most of your money in the bank. There be a few exceptions to special items you might not lose when you die I'm not sure on that though. Hope this helps!
-
1 pointBasically the play button on steam gets greyed out preventing you from launching the game and so you will never be able to play again. You can think of it as sort of a permaban. Just screwing with u. Ur body will stay there for a small period of time during which EMTs can revive you. If no one revives you, you will just respawn.
-
1 pointInstancing is bad for this type of game but with exceptions for some things. However the devs need to make sure that the player base is fun and a best capacity for Role play, map size and taking in how fun it will be with that amount of players. If they have too many it will make things boring / it won't be balanced out and the map being over crowded. @PrivacyVr I have also seen that info about the map being up scaled a bit for increase of player capacity.
-
1 pointbe careful, you might want to be a little more respectful of others, as well read a little more, he said the question was dumb. to some that could be a dumb question and to others maybe not, but it is true to do a little research in game development and servers. identity wants people to own homes and condos, for them to build 10,000+ homes and apartments would just be impossible and to render own individual homes with furniture. you cant compare something of that magnitude against a game like World of Warcraft that just has a massive map, some cities and mobs. its also quite low graphics compared to this. again, be a little more respectful.
-
1 pointI just think this is funny but. You did not read it correctly and you called someone a "m------fu--" and your mistake is irrelevant So basically this whole post you made is dumb. lmao not trying to throw shots but im just being real.
-
1 pointHe's not calling you dumb. He called your question dumb.
-
1 point10,000 players is insane. There servers would not be able to support that. It would be insanely laggy. I was already super thrilled to have 300 player servers, but now we might get 1,000 player servers. So honestly you should be grateful for that, cause no other game offers what identity is.
-
1 pointThey got a new thing and they may be able to make it up to 1,000 players like they wanted to!!! Which means a new map also!!!
-
1 pointThank you. Although I'm not sure you haven't read the part where we say that we don't use hacking because Motown said he won' t add hacking. We just do the same aspect as tracking CEO's, etc. Well since there is no credibility, in a game this is how we ruin players.

1 point1) I'll be reaching out to people who want to be apart of this and I have a lot of friends interested too. My plan is to set everyone who applies to the department which they want to be in and the lowest rank first regardless of application then in game they will earn towards their rank by contributing and reading how to advance up the chain of command. This way they all get a fair and equal start so it's not just first come fist serve. 2) Later on as the game advances stocks, bonds and mutual funds will be sold. This firm is giving us time to prepare for them and help our future employees be the best they can and our current source of money is from the packages and when the game releases later on we will earn it.

1 pointI'm glad that we could agree about taking down large organizations. I will change our blog, since I have seen your point about how it is fair to people who spent money, and they are entitled to their benefits. Although... we will not hesitate to do what is equitable.
-
1 pointOk well first of all our goal is to take down players with big egos... As well as anonymous in real life takes down big companies with egos. Also real anonymous has WAY better things to watch some forum post about a game that is not seriously insulting their group. Last of all Identity has ways where in the beginning you can pay to get a head start.
