3 pointsI believe an easy fix to the whole speed limit thing would be to have an option to use cruise control.

2 pointsGreetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

2 pointsHello all! i made a brief, very broad hype video (doesnt go into detail about the game, just a broad overall look) about Identity! It is my first video ever, so please keep that in mind. It doesnt go into deep detail about the game, but it is good quick 2 min video discussing major aspects of identity. Like i said, it is my first video. Don't forget to like the video and subscribe!

2 pointsAdding to what @Hatoful said, the idea of robbing players could be purely RP based even if there are no solid mechanics included for it in the first place, which I'm sure there will be. Robbing convenience stores/ATM's etc sounds likely in some form or another as well.
-
2 pointsYes they were doing controller testing some time ago for controllers and so yes they will be supported.

2 pointsThe fighting is going to be basics and that includes a basic hit and block. The system won't be like a game which is for fighting because this game is a RP game and not a fighting game overall! Also this question has been asked many times and answered many times by me and others here and so I am asking if searching can be made possible before asking as it will stop cluttering up the forums. We are happy to help but at the same time it is nice to know that everyone helps everyone and searching before posting helps everyone find posts easier.

2 pointsMy question, did you try and find the answers or did you just post straight away? (This is also in the wrong section as it is not a intro! @HairyGrenade 1. Have not much but the answer would be in the resources available. 2. it will be like a set time period e.g. maybe every week you pay your rent/ home tax to keep the house etc. 3. No filming, but you can go on stage and also paint. 4. Yes you can. 5. When is the deadline for what? the game? I can say use the FAQ Extended please. 6. No info on this at the moment. 7. You can cook food yes it is likely. 8. Your clothing can get dirty but I don't know if you can wash them. 9. There will always be something with a health system. There is also a hunger/ thirst system. 10. If you watch all the Q&A video's on YouTube then you would know this answer. The answer is yes you can design clothes using an in-game system with pre-made assets e.g. shapes. No possible way of importing or other ways to create clothing using anything else other than the tools provided. 11. Lots of cool features and easily to find out by using research if possible.

2 pointsHmm, I just got to say the moderators do have a life and also are voluntary staff. They also are moderators who moderator the "Altis Life" made by the "Asylum main devs". If you think that you have enough time and a life to respond 24/7 to questions on the forum then ok you can prove it done but you can't do it 24/7 with a life and not get paid for it. If you really think you are willing to give up your life to answer questions then I think you are mistaken about yourself because I doubt you would, but only you know what you would do. I do have the time to do it everyday to an extent like these ones we have!

1 pointHey fellow Law Enforcers With this topic I'd like to inform and assist you in understanding and creating a police department. It's important that departments are organised and have a structure to ensure officers are appointed to tasks and supervisors ensure tasks are completed. While rank structure is an important part of your department, it's also important to have a good divisional structure. Hopefully at the end of the text you're a bit wiser on how a police department works. We'll start of with Police Ranks. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarchy Staff Officers Chief Of Police - In charge of the department and handles public relations with other departments aswell as controls internal procedures and protocolsDeputy Assistant Chief Of Police - In charge of the department when the Chief of Police is on absence Deputy Chief of Police - In charge of a large part of the department, known as an Office. Example: Office of Operations or Office of Counter Terrorism Command Officers Commander - In charge of a training within the department. Example: Sergeant In Training or Detective In Training Captain - In charge of a precinct or leads all patrols within a certain area and acts as a supervisor to supervisors. Lieutenant - In charge of a larger division and serves as city wide/ patrol wide supervisor. Supervisor Sergeant - In charge of smaller divisions or head of certain aspects within divisions. Alse the first contact point for basic officers Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective.. Investigator Detective In Charge - In charge of a investigation division and will handle day to day requests from lower ranked Detectives. Also in charge of casefiles. Detective - Basic detective who investigates crimes after they happened and observes organised crimes Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective. Non Commissioned Officers Police Officer III - Patrol officer who teaches the new officers the way around the department. Police Officer II - Basic Patrol officer who makes up most of the department. Police Officer I - Newly inducted Police Officers who are in their probationary stage and learn the way of the department. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarcy With the previous mentioned hierarcy the base of your department should be filled. However it is always possible to adjust the ranks towards the need of your department. For example you can create a Senior Sergeant who would be a basic sergeant, but in training to become a Lieutenant. Another example is a Lieutenant I and Lieutenant II. Where the I would ensure larger divisions are kept under control the Lieutenant II would handle a precinct or multiple patrols. Ranks also work hand in had with your organisation. For example if you have 7 divisions it might be wise to have 7 lieutenants or a few lieutenants of the bigger divisions and sergeants of the smaller divisions. It's important to know your department, because some divisions will require more intense handeling than others. Warrants and searches require more knowledge of the penal code and law than a traffic division. For that reason it's better to have a Lieutenant handle the Investigation divisions and a Sergeant the Traffic Division. The higher the rank the more legal and situational knowledge a person must have. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Chart _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Know your department and its needs! It's very important to ensure your department has a wide arrangement of divisions people can join so their day to day tasks are never the same and never boring. A good structure is most needed in the department and every part of it has a person controlling it. Divisions by Sergeants, Large divisions by Lieutenants, Precincts by Captains, Offices by Deputy Chiefs and at the top the Chief of Police. The way a good structure works if that a basic officer will not have to complain to the Chief of Police. If he has a problem he should go to his appointed sergeant. If he can not solve it, the sergeant goes to his superior and so on. Because there are limited amounts of divisions in an Office there will be a good overview of them all. It's important that the division leader reports to the Office leader and the Office leader to the Chief of Police. Ensure to give your Deputy Chief of Police enough power to change his Office by only having to inform the Chief of Police with the changes. This way there is more control and better support for every division and they will know who too contact when there is a problem. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ GENERAL NOTICE: If you have comments or have questions about a certain aspect within the police department, you can always ask it here. I'll try to give a good answer to every question asked. Obviously if your question is important, it will also be added in the topic along with the explanation. If you have certain subjects to add aswell you can always PM me and it will be added into the topic along with credits too your name. This topic is aimed to give a detailed guide on how to make or understand a police department and hopefully the community works with eachother to give tips to other servers. Sorry for possible writing errors

1 pointSo as of now weight and muscle wont be at the launch of Identity, but the devs hope to add it later after launch. I was thinking what about height. In every RP game everyone is always the same base height. I think it would be cool if we could change our height when creating out character. Maybe having a minimum height of 5'4" and a max of 6'8" or so what ever the devs see best fit. Also maybe height can affect some traits of your character. Like the shorter you are the faster/ longer you can run and maybe the taller you are the more you can carry. I don't know this is just a rough idea that I could see the Devs balancing and possibly adding. I'm just tired of everyone always being the same height, and also girls are almost generally shorter than guys, so maybe the tallest girl would only be 6'3" or so. What do you guys think about this??

1 pointAs far as I know the most will be done through contracts, delivery will be done for those with right type of car or career (ex. truck driver), and if no real Life player can take it then a NPC will do the delivery, but will take longer time. Regarding alpha, and release date look here:
-
1 point"There are no other countries" and so players will have to maybe grow them or there will be a system to make sure deliveries/ orders get done when a player is not there to do it.

1 pointYes i believe there will be EU servers but for the modules i think there will only be either US or Canadian server for that but i do think there will be EU servers when the game fully launches.
-
1 pointYour characters voice hasn't been touched on by devs yet. I assume they'll add many different options because of the wide customization the devs have planned. but, we won't know until Town Square is released (or the devs answer)
-
1 pointWell I'm sure we can sort something out, there's a whole load of opportunities we could take up but unfortunately we cannot really predict what game mechanics will and won't be included for this sort of thing. It might have to be down to the modding community to provide smoking lounges/dispensaries and/or invite only areas but we shall see!

1 pointNo there will be no pay to win in this game thank god, you will have to work your way up to earn the money and then you can show it off after all that time working for it

-
1 pointVery good question.. This post just makes it harder for people to search the answer for the time being and that being said is that this is pointless as of now for a year.

1 pointMost probably Canada, however, I am not sure if Paratus and Motown may be looking at other Datacentres as well. As to ping. I live in the United Kingdom and on Asylum which also are hosted in Canada I get around 90-120ms ping and my internet is a very bad 6mb Down 0.1mb Up. I have no issues with playing at all. Also if you have any further questions best to ask them here just keeps everything in an easy place to find information Immigration (Introductions) Tourism (Q&A) << Questions http://www.identityrpg.com/community/forum/25-tourism-span-stylefont-size07emqaspan/

1 pointI think its a good idea, but it will be up the the devs on how that can be possible, if it will be possible with some kind of contract (simular to renting a house) then there are Insurance issue, owner issue etc. IF the game mechanics will allow it and make it possible then this can be a very good buisness, then sign me up later.

1 pointI think you start to think way too big, long time before you get it all started, and to do so is a recipie to crash. However I do like youre idea, but think its wrong for you to hire 45 players. Who will pay for 45 people, in a company without any income ? And same time you want to invest, again with what money ? My advise to you are, keep youre idea, try invest in what ever you would like to invest in, if or when you have money to it, then start to hire another player, and take it from there, build it up, if you rush it then I serious doubt that it will work. There are no information anywhere (what I found) where you can buy ingame money, you have to earn either through ligit jobs or illigal activities. From there you can start youre company. If youre plan are to start to invest other peoples money, then it still requiere that they have money to invest with and that is not going to happen from day 1, and you want to hire 45 players ? Maby I misunderstand youre idea, but I hope you can pull it off, without burn youre fingers, and you actually can pay the people you want to hire, I wish you the best of of luck.

1 pointNo. JAMESLUCK01 said on 12/5/2016 at 8:50AM "You pay to play the game, you will be able to buy cosmetic items from an in-game store but you cannot buy in-game money with real money."Here is my source P.S. sorry about my other post above this, I messed up and don't know how to remove it.

1 pointMy point is that no one wants to start at the bottom. People don't want the game to be a job. Everyone wants to be the boss, (hence why you see people STILL starting more private security corps). If you can actually find people who are willing going to grind for your profit, that's great, however those people are few and far between. You don't know that people will start selling equity. We don't even know if people are assigning equity in their companies. As far as I'm aware, every company founder holds 100% of the equity and everyone else is just working for a % of profits. I think if it does happen this is a great idea, however, I think that investment bureau's acting as angel investors is incredibly risky, and I fear for the people who's money you are investing.

1 pointI would love to see this it would be very fun and could make a lot of good roleplay situations, it would just also generally be fun to go to with your friends and have a good day out.

1 pointThe devs have said that the new video is supposed to come out before the Town Square Module is released. Most people are estimating that the module is going to be released mid-end of April (Just their opinion, though, so nothing set in stone), so I would guess that the video will be released in the next 2-3 weeks!

1 pointHi i just had an enquiry and a good idea would there be any like sort of perks or little thinks you can get on the forum if you donate so you can stand out like little things just such as a shiny name or just a diffrent colour and maybe when you go onto there profile you can have like special backgrounds and or a video on you profile. Maybe even it could show people who donated at the bottom of the home page of the forum. This was just a little idea and might be cool if you could implement it.

1 pointI am not, referring the hacking part of Anonymous. Just the idealism of equality and equity for all players. I also do not think you read the entire topic. We expressly mention we do not mean hacking, we mean surveillance. How am I not serious about this, we have serious members. What makes you say or think that we are not?
-
1 pointThis is fair, although if someone IRL out right declares they are a member of Anonymous.. bad things could happen to him/her. Also, this is a game not real life. If people can pretend to be Italian and form gangs, and create false backs stories, we can create Anonymous.

1 pointI say PC Nation, for that exact reason. We are all just trying to play games, right? I used to think like that, but then I realized, it's all about the gaming. I have ALWAYS been a console gamer, and the major reason I never got into PC. Because I spent most of my life struggling to get where I am now. When ur living on the streets for most of your adolescent years. It shouldnt be a suprise that things shift, on what takes priorities, And academics took a back seat for street smarts. Now, I can barely remember, a majority of the stuff I knew in school. I WAS extremely smart, academically, I shoulda went to college when i was 16, but I wanted to be a kid. So i missed that opportunity because I was a hard head, like most kids that age, but I didn't have my parents there to guide me, and put a foot in my ass when I made a mistake. So, I made a ALOT of bad decisions, that were compounded by my animosity for the shitty way things were goin. Up until the last 8 years were tough and took its toll, so I appreciate the little things now. And when I found out my credit was good. I jumped at the chance to get a good build, and only pay a couple a hundred a month for it. Anyone who has struggled would jump at a chance like that, to finally have something nice, especially when your used to always getting the raw deal. PC is only better , to me, in the sense of their power, more layers, more memory. Higher resolution I'm really thinking that Identity will be more demanding than wildlands. But, I'm by no means saying this is the case. I'm assuming, by how much more immersive it will be, while being extremely detailed. I will try to remember to add the paragraphs and fix the punctuation when I finish a post before I submit it. I type out what I want to say, rough draft, then go over and add all the puncuation and fix things...It takes awhile sometimes, its alot to do just to save everyone a few seconds, so they dont lose their place...But I will do my best to remember

1 pointWhich is exactly why it should never never ever be introduced into Identity, because believe or not some people are actually that sad that they will buy in game currency with real currency.
