    Are the modules Alpha or Beta? The Modules are not any kind of beta but serve more as a Alpha! The Beta will be the closest thing to the full game. When is the Beta going to release? There is no current release point for the Beta except after all 3 modules are released. (Late 2018 is my estimate) When is this Game going to release? There is no point for when it is known to release. (My Estimate will be Early 2019 Release) Town Square Release Schedule? The first Module is due to release 21st March 2018 30th November 2018 as so the developers can be sure to hit the release date. 21st March 2018 Countdown When is there going to be game play footage? The next video is said to be on Gun Mechanics, and I would hope to think it will be shown before the S.W.A.T. Module. Pledges/ and Prices: Some pledges will stay and prices of them will increase while the rest of the pledges will be removed from the store completely. This will be done when the new Website launches which will likely be Early 2018 and so make use of the time left! New website has already been launched. Higher packages are likely going to be removed during Town Square release or later on. Pledge Car Insurance: There will be life time insurance for the pledge cars/ vehicles. Server Player Capacity: The server player capacity is going to be between 300 - 500 players per server! Server size: Will be 300-500 players. What will the size of the "Town Square" be? The "Town Square" module will be as stated a Town Square and there is no "Figure" on the size of it as of yet! Will this game be released on Consoles? No this game is exclusively for PC however after the full game release the Developers will look into console porting. MoTown's Answer to a post on the forum: Our official answer on the topic of consoles is that we have no current plans to release Identity to console platforms, but have promised to do our research into what it might require after our PC launch. This is not a promise that Identity will be available on console, simply a promise to look into it. At the moment, it would be fair to say that it is outside of our scope and budget. Will this game be for MAC and Linux? Yes it will but I don't know if it will be shortly after launch of the game. Will there be AI (Artificial Intelligence)/ NPC's be roaming the map? No, this game is a player run game, but will have a few NPC's filling up the boring jobs which you and I would not do for hours on end e.g. standing at the tills of a shop, also they will be in the un-ownable shops too and they will be around in back-alleys to represent a (Black Market Dealer and Drug Dealers). Will there be any aircraft in this game? No there will not be aircraft in this game but the developers did mention a glider and possibly in the very far future they could still add them but that's not certain. Will there be Undercover cops? No, The reason why there won't be undercover cops is because the developers want a distinctive difference between cops and civilians/ criminals. How many buttons will be in the game? Probably more, but there will be radial menus for some things that will cut down on buttons. What steering wheels are supported? So far the Thrust-master ones are confirmed. ( if its a popular steering wheel, it'll work) Will this game be VR supported? Yes, the developers are working on it and want to be able to have VR supported because they want to use it too when playing the game. Unfortunately they don't think it will be supported at full game release. Is this game Subscription based? No! You buy the game (passport) and then you can play anytime with no more paying. Is there in-game Purchases? (read next question and the answer) Yes. Is this game Pay to Win? No, You can only buy cosmetic items. (Items which don't give players advantages). What are the system requirements? There is no official knowledge yet as its too early to say, but if you can run games like GTA V, Arma 3 and Ark you should be fine. What are the names of the 3 cities? Ash Hill, Roseport and Turtle Beach. Can you break in/ raid someones home? No, police cannot raid your house and also no one can rob your house. In correspondance to police not being able to raid your home, it is that you cannot enter your property if wanted either. What age rating will the game be? This game will be Rated 18+. Can you live with someone? Yes you can but you have to have a bedroom for every person who lives in your house. This even includes if you marry someone! Gangs: There will be a gang system, such as making a guild in MMO's. Gangs will have ranks and even HQ's which can be someone's house where all gang members have access or a shop a gang member owns. In Town square, there will not be a gang system YET, but there will be a friends contact on your phones and you can easily roleplay your gang, to begin with. You can have biker gangs, as there are Bikes (such as the ones in the pledges) and leather jackets. You can put insignias on your clothes to show off your gang. There won't be designated gang categories, such as Biker gang or Mafia, but you can Roleplay your gang to be any type you want. There will, however, be areas of the map designed for specific sub-cultures, such as bars that are Biker themed, such as Biker Club Bars. A player can always buy a bar, make it a Biker Club / Bar and make it the HQ of their Biker Gang, or the same with a Mafia gang, etc... Stress System: The Stress System is the games anti-RDM (random deathmatch = randomly killing people for no reason) system. What happens is everyone has a stress level, and if you stress is low, you take less damage, and high, you take normal damage. When you pull out a gun, you instantly get high stress, and when one is aimed at you or you are near a fight, your stress will slowly rise. This helps you to fight back and try and get the advantage on a gunman by using the stress system to your advantage. In weapon customisation: People always ask if there will be silencers or 8X scopes, and there will not be any long range optics or silencers in Identity. Murder: WILL be auto reported and you will be instantly wanted, other crimes require witnesses and a 911 call. Can you Marry? Yes, you can marry both sex. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reddit and Exclusive interview questions and answers Below ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Weapon Customisation? Weapon customization is quite detailed. Some weapons have more room for changes than others of course, but things like stocks, grips, sights and even paint/finish can be customized. Weapon actions are one of those things that don't work well in video games, mostly because no matter what you have in the game you're still firing with a mouse, and it will feel counter-intuitive making it over-complicated. For example, if you have a double action pistol and pull the trigger, your mouse click is all the same no matter if the hammer is back or forward so we need to design around the peripherals people are using to play. Weapon jams are something you can encounter. Our weapon physics are incredibly advanced and was one of the first systems completed long ago. We can create magazines of any size which hold physically accurate ammo. Calibre and even type (holopoint, FMJ, etc) have an effect on trajectory. Our programmer on the weapon physics read a lot of papers to get proper formulas, and they function off the same math used by real-world forensics. A bullet fired in Identity will travel almost identically to the same being fired in the real world, even when it comes down to things like stopping power versus penetration. Will there be physics to shoot through walls or boxes? Things that a bullet would usually go though in real world situations. Absolutely. Bullets are influenced by the material they hit. If it's wood, it will pass right through it with very little change to velocity, but a thin sheet of metal may still allow the bullet to pass through, yet reduce velocity enough that it may not kill, or do much damage to its target on the other side when it impacts. 1. What is in game prison like? 2. Is it like real prison with guards, rec time, shiving, and keeping a tight grip on the soap? 3. How does the drug manufacturing and trafficking work? 4. Can I get methylamine? 1. Identity's prison is very much a game within a game. As a prisoner, you can join one of three prison factions and battle for territory, or just hang out in the recreational room and chat and interact with other prisoners while you wait out your time. You'll be able to craft a crude shank and attack others, or attempt a prison escape as a group that the police will be forced to respond too from across the map. There are no player prison guards though. The decision for that was mostly just because we couldn't find a way to keep it engaging and fun. We don't want people to be forced to sit and watch other players. 2. For those in prison however, when they've served their time, they may simply exit the prison through a series of corridors that only they have access too, or if they just have a lengthy prison sentence, they can request a trial which will notify random players across the map to report for jury duty, in which case they will plead their case, and have their fate decided on by a vote whether to be released early, or spend the rest of their time behind bars. 3. & 4. In the outside world, there are a number of drug manufacturing processes, including the production of meth, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. Each has its own unique crafting process. For instance, in order to cook meth, which is the highest paying and most valuable drug in Identity, it will require the player to purchase a mobile RV, convert it into a meth lab, and then steal all of the ingredients from across the map in certain factory locations. They'll then have to spend time cooking the meth through a series of time-based processes that determine the quality of the product before finally selling it to an NPC drug dealer for a big payout (or you can consume it if you feel like cutting into your hard-earned profits). 1)Price when the game releases 2)Will there be realistic payments for the jobs(on official servers)? I really hate it when you deliver a huge track full of diamonds and get 10k for it just breaks the immersion 3)Will the items take physical space inside the car not only for furniture but with job items as well (Weed, diamonds,etc) and will you be able to put more staff in the car if Let's say you have a 4 man vehicle but its only you and a friend inside so you have 2 sheets left will that mean extra space? 4)Will the things you buy have realistic prices? For example if you buy a Ferrari it will cost you something like 150k? 5)Will there be real life cars in the game or unlicensed cars like in gta v 6)Will there be any A.I cops or enemies? 7)Will i be able to raid other players houses? 8)Will there be a report system so you can instant report someone if he rdm's/vdm's you 9)Will there be an in game recorder so you can have proof for rdm ? (something like plays.tv lets say) 10)will there be a casino? 11)Any micro transactions? (not for cosmetic items) 12)Can you compare the driving to another game so we kinda know how driving will be like ?(i hope not like arma) 13)Will you be able to shoot while inside a vehicle 14)will there be rebel items like armored(extra armor and guns)vehicles, helicopters, jets. 1. Currently, you can pre-order, or pledge early for Identity for as low as $15 (without beta access) or $30 (with beta access) from our website @ identityrpg.com - however, we expect the price of the game to jump up to about $45 when it hits steam, as steam takes a pretty large chunk of income from each sale. 2. Expect Identity's currency to be realistic in value, so your pay will also be realistic. A pair of shoes may cost about $40, and a decent car around $30,000. A lot of games reward players with such high numbers in currency and damage though because there seems to be a psychological attracting to larger numbers, so we can understand why games do it but it won't be that way in Identity. 3. Items will take up physical space inside the trunk of a car. When a player accesses the trunk, there is a 2D grid placement system in which each item takes up a number of squares on the grid depending on its shape and size. The largest items will not fit inside the trunk of a small car, so a big semi-truck with a trailer may be necessary. 4. Oops, I answered this with #2 as well. 5. There won't be real-world cars or brands in Identity. We can't afford the license fees to include real brands in our game, and we're almost certain these companies would not want their brands associated with vehicle damage, or some of the criminal and illegal elements also featured in the game. 6. There won't be AI cops out in the game environment, driving police vehicles, or paroling streets. If there are any, they will simply stand behind a desk at the station recruiting new player officers or providing information. 7. You will not be able to raid another players house, or enter their house without their permission. We want player homes to be your personal space, safe from any outside influence. Players are going to put a lot of effort customizing their homes, and we don't want to jeopardize or disturb the work they put into it. 8. RDM/VDM isn't an enforced rule on official servers, but there will be a tool for reporting these actions on private servers who create rules for these actions. Instead, on Official servers, we have a stress system in place to discourage random attacks or griefing. 9. There won't be an in-game video recording tool, but you can use 3rd party video recording software like OBS, Fraps, or Shadowplay. 10. There will be casinos in Identity, but they are not player owned. 11. Micro-transactions exist for cosmetics, some vehicles, and some apartments, and will be claimable across all servers (hopefully including private servers). We will not sell weapons. 12. Expect driving in Identity to be realistic, much like Grand Theft Auto IV, not V. Players won't be able to survive crazy stunt jumps in Identity, and enough damage could disable your vehicle. Unfortunately however, we cannot easily do a damage model like you might expect to see in BeamNG. Damage has to be networked across the server, and we feel transmitting that much damage data could hurt performance. 13. You won't be able to shoot from inside your vehicle. We want to discourage random acts of violence for the sake of roleplay. 14. There won't be any armoured vehicles in Identity, apart from maybe SWAT trucks. We don't want to give anyone a PVP advantage based on vehicle armor. Aircraft are also not present in Identity, as it is important to us that players do not skip over potential encounters they may have gotten into while driving, and of course because we don't want the world to feel smaller by flying quickly from point A to point B.     My top 5 biggest annoyances in any multilayer role play game. The Russian - people who do a bad Russian accent to seem more menacing. The mute - people who have no mic in 2017, but there character 'has no voice anyway' so it's alright. (How many people have you EVER met that are mute) The mass murderer / hardened military person - the guy who goes round killing everyone, then tries to role play it out, because they think it's fun to ruin everyone else's experience. These people are always dripping in camo clothing and have had world class gun training (how realistic). The drug dealer - fair enough, these role play games are generally based around drug smuggling and making money illigally (I think identity is no exception) but this character is always VERY overplayed. I've never, EVER met a drug dealer IRL, but hey, maybe I live on the nice side of town? God mode - the players who turn every situation around (using role play, usually text chat) to benefit their own character. These people never seem to die or get injured because they always have a trick up there sleeve like "picks lock and escapes unharmed". Personally, if the interaction is fun / funny / interesting, and I end up dieing to good role play, it's more fun than surviving through shoddy workarounds. On the whole, these games or servers are normally ruined by people with a lack of imagination. Poor imagination is ok! But using poor role play on top of that becomes very frustrating for other people. That's why I like role play on Twitch, it's not that server rules protect from bad experiences, it's that the level of quality role play is much higher because there is an audience. I'm not salty, im just bored of seeing huge potential ruined by unrealistic encounters and interactions. Discuss?

    Hey anxious players/Devs! So I came up with this idea an hour ago and I think it would be a good idea to add K9s and K9 Handlers. These are specially trained officers which obviously travel around with their K9 when needed - can be used in situations such as a drug busts, locating a suspect/s which has gone out of sight of police officers in the area and possibly other situations. The handler would be able to name, command and create a relationship with them. When you start your job, you choose the gender, name of your new battle pup and train it. Once ready to hit the streets, the handler would have a K9 Marked vehicle and would be ready to accept calls where the K9 is needed to subdue someone who is resisting verbal commands or is becoming physically violent towards officers or other civilians within the area. Pros to K9 Handler: 1) Adds more diversity to the Law Enforcement, other than the regular S.W.A.T. Units or other specialized units that may be already available. 2) Gives a more immersive experience to locating a perp when in pursuit of them as they would be able to pick up a scent should an article of clothing (example) be present that belongs to the perp, not just asking for any sightings of them or CCTV footage. 3) Drug busts could become more interesting and allow for more challenges in locating any hidden narcotics or other rec. drugs which would be legal, unless deemed legal by the President/Governor/Head of State etc. Drugs could be hidden under hard to reach places such as floorboards, frame of car etc or behind areas such as blocked passage ways only large enough for the K9 or a *Police EOD Bot to fit through 4) The K9 would automatically defend the officers should someone attempt to harm them (unless kept on leash ) or released from their leash. May be injured and/or killed in the line of duty as any other living, serving officer does. Cons to K9 Handler: 1) Custom sounds, models and walking/running/injured animations must be made along with implementation of A.I. specifically for the K9. 2) May be an unpopular job - meaning that the job would not be given enough attention worth for the amount of time/effort put into it to implement the idea. Thanks for reading this post, this is my first actual thread I've made - I attempted to add one about gun mechanics and I got signed out somehow, was super in-depth and took ages to write, never mind - as long as I can try to give any ideas along with everyone else I'm good! Looking forward to this game, hope it will be as feature packed and immersive as it seems to be as of the YouTube Demo video (looked brilliant by the way - well done, keep it going!) I will be getting the Founder rank hopefully soon before the prices change and whatnot! *Police EOD Bot - would have the ability to be remotely controlled and to view using a I.R./Heat Seeking camera with 360 degrees rotational view. Would be able to disarm simple/home made bombs or other explosives which pose a threat to the public. Similar as to the EOD Bot which can be found in Battlefield 3/4!

    Lmao I know all too well what you are referring to...GTA is rampant with them. Can't forget the Fly-By-Night Criminal They are the type you normally see being awkward in criminal situations. They try to act powerful and smart about their criminality, however they end up drawing attention to themselves and anyone they become involved with. Examples of them is speaking loudly in public situations about criminal actions, or trying to act like a major kingpin in situations they are overwhelmed by. "Where can I buy drugs and guns!?" (Said in front of civilians in large public area) "Yo, I will kill you and everyone here that witnesses it!" (Again spoke in public loudly, like they are proving something) They normally end up in prison all the time, or most of the time because they aren't smart enough to learn to keep themselves out.

    @lamarr Oh God what am I reading *FacePalm* 1) Avoid bringing IRL logics into a game it doesn't work (trust me). 2) Avoid criticizing someone else " RP " Style everyone has the right to interpret RP how they wish I am gonna answer the original question very simply. So Regarding Private servers, this really is up to them how they wish to manage it do they want Hardcore RP or more of a light RP server. Regarding the Official Servers So I've spoken to Motown a bit around the way the fear system works and this is how I have interpreted it. I will be double checking this with him tonight as I am not a fan of false spreading information but this thread getting a little crazy. Below are 2 example scenarios. Scenario 1 Someone tries robbing you, you decide to roleplay and comply your "fear/threat" level is fairly low therefore if the robber tried to kill you it would be much "harder". Scenario 2 Someone tries robbing you, you decide to either Raise your weapon to try to defend yourself of decide to run away at this point your fear/threat level increases making it "easier" to kill whilst you attempt to defend yourself.     Hello everyone, I'm Jacob well that's my real name anyway, I am just here saying hi to everyone hoping to make some new friends that will have this game when it comes out so we can play and team up together and have each others back . I'm currently 18 turning 19 in October i really enjoy rp servers and games it is great to see a game like this being so successful i really do have hope and faith in this game i have brought the game because at the moment for such a good looking game and the price it is at is amazing and YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THAT DEAL. everyday i am thinking about this game now it should be really fun and a fresh sort of rp game and i hope to see everyone in game Jacob.

    This would be a really cool idea but all i can think about is the dog not being able to walk properly because it would be hard to make the model of it i think. But yes i would love to see this in game it will let people that are interested this in real life have a taste of it in game. And it would be cool if you could have it as a sort of pet when your off duty so it can live in your house sort of thing so you can live with it for the whole of your life and then you could have extra responsibility's like you would have to feed and give it water and then take it for walks and a lot more which will take time out of your day but will prove if you really want to commit to this role and possible pet while off duty.

    "The Assassin or hitman" This character usually thinks its real life and can get away with rdm because it fits his job description and thinks it will actually play out properly. "The Mafia" Usually groups like these, think mafia's just run around in suits all day, rob people, and kill people, no effort what so ever, stupid when you see the don out about doing the work that normally the made men do lol. "The Cartel" Usually groups like this don't actually roleplay, and just make money, and rob people, if you get in their way they either rdm you or something stupid. "The Bank Robber" A person or group that literally, their rp is only to rob banks, never ends well, but as soon as they get out of jail or respawn, they either rob people till the cooldown, or whatever, then just go rob it again. "Intelligence Agencies or paramilitary corps" Don't actually rp it, just end up going around in a group with guns and either guarding something or someone, or just picking fights with people or gangs who had no interest in starting one with them "The lawyer" The guy whose just robbed someone or commits a crime, with his buddy, his buddy gets arrested but he flee's, and the cops dont catch his name, then he comes to the police station in a suit and tries to persuade his friend to be dropped of all charges or lower the charges" "The Hot Shot" The ego driven kid who thinks hes untouchable and the best at fighting and shooting people, and spends his rp time robbing people trying to prove himself because he can't prove himself to his parents that he's a good kid. "I'm annoying" The guy who just sits around in the social areas and just annoys people or tries to rob people at atms People annoy me.

    Hmm, I just got to say the moderators do have a life and also are voluntary staff. They also are moderators who moderator the "Altis Life" made by the "Asylum main devs". If you think that you have enough time and a life to respond 24/7 to questions on the forum then ok you can prove it done but you can't do it 24/7 with a life and not get paid for it. If you really think you are willing to give up your life to answer questions then I think you are mistaken about yourself because I doubt you would, but only you know what you would do. I do have the time to do it everyday to an extent like these ones we have!

    I think GTA 4 has the best throttle response etc , I doubt many you know but on gta 4 you can change gears almost when you want by releasing the trigger, and pressing it in at the right times,, I know how to change up a gear an down in gta 4, I love it, and the best thing is, when the car changes gear it changes like a Manuel, but you uses the trigger like your driving a automatic car, its amazing I am currently playing gta4 atm. the best way to try this technique is in the sultan RS but can be done in any car. This was changed in GTA5 because they wanted it to feel like a racing game.witch I think is really stupid, you cant cruise in gta5, you try cruise around but it holds 3rd gear n shit, gta5 you can cruise in like 5th going normal speed. I think gta 4 driving is best , the cars just have to much body rolls that's all, but that's part of it being real you have to slow down otherwise you will fuck your self up. its simple learn how to drive in the game. and again I believe the body roll was a too over rated. the damage in gta4 is better than gta5 as well, who likes all there windows smashing from tapping a wall, or driving through a wooden fence? and having to crash you car 10 times in the front to make it look fucked in gta 5, also fighting and hitting into people is better in gta4, I think this was because gta had to be simmer down the realism in the violence

    My Governor Campaign Timeline Honesty, something that I feel will help clear all worry and negativity! In the beginning, when I first joined the forums I looked through the Podium and saw two Governor candidates, @ThomasHetch and @JoelKeys ! I've always loved politics so I looked into their campaigns. Joel was doin great fas ar as policy's appeal to the people and Thomas' popularity was just amazing! This is when I decided to start my campaign! So...I began with making the foundations of my Political Party; The Royal Family Party! After I had built the foundations conversations positive and negative had begun! I felt I needed a solid support system that could back me up no matter what. Someone who would be praising of my campaign and critical to the others; a simple game of political war! Idiotic enough I was, I went to the gangs. At that time I felt gangs are loyal and as an elected official I could help protect them from the law! Even though then I didn't like criminals I was more concerned about getting into a position to where I could impact the law for the good of the Island! Several gangs contacted me, I had willing supporters left and right! Then I took the time to think and realized I didn't want to be working with already declared criminals! I then returned to the Podium where I continued my proper campaign, but before long a few more governor candidates showed up...like @BobbyCruz . With that, a few of my previous gang related ideas floated back to surface! My University, laws, political party, etc weren't being discussed. Recently I'd been on the battlefield throwing all the defensive statements I could throw. But then I thought for a minute. Would I be worried if my leader had had activities with gangs...? Answer is yes! That's why NO GANG RELATED, MOB RELATED, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY RELATED MEMBERS ARE ANY LONGER PART OF THE ROYAL FAMILY! @BobbyCruz and I have different views just as all of us candidates do. But, we agree on one thing for sure...and that's the certainty that our leaders aren't corrupt. So to give credit, Bobby was right in his suspicion, right for putting it in the light, right for continuing to give his advice! I currently have great support towards my campaign, between @FatherOfLoyalty and @Dylan_Heisner the campaign continues to flourish! I'll admit, I want to have a great political experience in the game! I'm going to continue this campaign and pray it continues to succeed! May the odds be in the favor of all us candidates!

    As Governor & Mayor in the Identity Trailer it specified that while in office you'll be able to implement laws that affect the economy such as taxes and healthcare. Prison sentences was another issue I believe was mentioned.

    All of the party's tax proposals are great. They make sense with the idea that they will be spent on schools, roads, buildings, insurance, homelessness, paying elected officials and more. I look forward to representing The Peoples Party as Governor. Now let's discuss: Prison Sentences, Income for elected officials, laws, etc. As Governor I want to be sure I'm applying what people truly want!

    I'm cool with the handling being like GTA 4, as long as the car damage is more realistic like BeamNG rather than GTA 4. I heard it will be like GTA 4 though. Although I hope more realistic, for example, much easier to total the car, components that take damage, like radiator, transmission, engine, etc. Realistic car fire, but no explosions. Also, car damage should be dynamic, unlike Arma 3 where the damage always looks the same. I want the car to deform realistically from impacts. A mix between GTA 4 and BeamNG, or even Wreckfest style damage would be cool. Although Wreckfest is not realistic, but I mean the deformation amounts could be like wreckfest. Parts should not fall off that easily, and cars should not drive when their engine is literally squashed into the driver's seat. But yeah, Gta 4 style damage with a bit more deformation, and easier to total your car would be awesome.

    I am kinda curious as to how they are gonna come at this driving system as well. I've heard there's no bullet proof tires, you will need a license if you want to drive...legally. Car damage will be more realistic. And for the added immersion, you will be able to do things like use blinkers and even put on your seat belt, and change flat tires. I think the driving will be fine because its a different world, than GTA, with so much more to do. I mean the real world has ppl that get into trouble because they hate speed limits. Thats why there will be a racing aspect of identity, where the speed demons can go feed their ride some speed without getting into trouble. Im curious about the world as far as damage by cars. Will a police chase be able to end with a car goin off into the woods and taking out trees(not the disappearing kinda either;) ) Or maybe even some buildings, I can't imagine you'd let ppl crash into others homes and aptartments. Unless theres insurance and we can sue. But invisible walls every where will take away from the immersion. I can also imagine it will vary depending on whether ur on offical and unofficial servers. Fingers crossed it will be everything they hope to make it. Im taking a pretty big gamble that it will be

    Okey, it had better driving than most games and how fast did you speed round the corner? Also how sharp was the corner turn? As I know for a fact you must have been going fast to do that. but if you do flip in identity you won't be driving off like the GTA games.
